My Thoughts of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 Race at Daytona

hey what's up everyone it's Jonathan here uh just giving you my quick thoughts about the race on uh Saturday night for the cup series definitely um interesting race typical Daytona how they uh was kind of surprised about how they raced hard in stage number one but uh yeah it was pretty much exciting for the most part got your big wrecks Astic know usual and ton of fashion uh Cory Joy though I don't know what's going on with him personally I think he's he's so upset with his career and where it's going now he's I don't say he intentionally wrecked the 10 but he didn't give a damn that he was going to spin out either so um and for people say that oh Larson was pushing him you saw one replay he was nowhere near him um he just kept shoving him shoving him and just kind of D move on his part to cause big crash there uh same thing with Austin syri basically pushing uh the 34 around almost making him flip the four flipping so back to the drawing board on trying to keep these cars on the ground the sharp fan maybe worked 50% but it didn't work all the way like it was supposed to uh I'm no engineer but I'm going to say take that stupid panel off to the bottom of the car and maybe just maybe that solve the cars from uh flipping uh for all the people that keep saying NASCAR cars have flipped for years are you know pretty much every generation car is flipped yes that's true however these cars are flipping way more easier than the other cars have ever flipped before and this is getting ridiculous and if you think that's okay let's just hope that no one has an awesome Dylan wreck like a Daytona and a front straightway know fans get hurt or killed if that happens well that's on you because you think that that flipping is acceptable in in in the sport so either way that's just my beef about that U I'm a little tired of people thinking that it's okay to see cars flip because it's not it's not okay and it needs to stop uh but uh coming to the end of that race had Harrison burn Kyle bus chrisopher Bell and Parker russof yeah wouldn't thought he be up there uh he just played the smart strategy let one wreck and see what was left and you know yeah it was typical Daytona in the sense of we have a lot of big ones but a lot of the big players got taken out on those wrecks it was like usually the bigger players kind of hang in there usually it's the guys in the back the ones that are like don't usually go for the wins but try to push late end up causing big crashes there were a lot of big like the people that um you know Truex and Chase and Larson even though Larson had some door damage he still kept in there till last R there uh you know you had a lot of the big names get wiped out Hamlin and those guys so it was kind of strange to see some of those guys like Harrison Burton Russell Russell off uh Cory wear out of nowhere uh but yeah it definitely was very weird to see that but it came down to Kyle bus and Harrison Burton and Russell off and the 20 and down the back straight in the final lap the inside kind got squirly the 20 just couldn't get to the eight in time and russof that kid I'm going to tell you right now he looks like he's 12 years old he's skinny as a ra yeah he he had more balls than most of those drivers had pretty much all night and he grabbed down to that bumper of that 20 one and shove the crap out of him I wouldn't have thought he would do it because you know being that he's rookie and that this is I think his only second start in the cup series that he would ever do something like that but boy he took that chance and it paid off in a sense that got the 21 up there it was looked like it was going to pay off for him at least second or third maybe unfortunately the 54 Ty Gibson then kind of shoved him three wide got him squirly was like a full wide for to finish back there but he finished seventh for Russell off so good for him but boy he grabbed down to that 21 21 got pass the eight Harris buron did his couple blocks and was able to get his first career win in the Nascar Cup Series and yes he's in the playoffs I don't care okay now reason why I say I don't care it's because we all know we all know that the playoff system is stupid we know that the wintering thing shouldn't be around anymore we all know that I am not going to blame the 21 for what's going on okay I I he he did what he had to do to win it's grateful that he won that he's able to hopefully maybe find another ride number he was fired from this job for for next year right he doesn't have a ride but hopefully this helps him either keeping the cup series or maybe if he goes back to Xfinity that he's in a decent ride there until he can move back up but um still great job with him of course uh his father Jeff Burton was in the booth he was pumped he was excited about the whole thing obviously and of course his mom and his fiance was was there as well and the whole team was just great of course this was World Brothers 100th win finally getting that 100th win for with the Wood Brothers of course at Daytona per uh but yeah definitely um excited to see him win but yes we all know about the playoff system it's it's it sucks we all know but it is what it is for right now and we just got to deal with it but anyways it was a a decent race eight out of 10 a lot of the wrecks were just most Prett most edting wreck is unne Daytona but um particularly both of them the big recks were really unnecessary I would say um the flip uh for the T definitely unnecessary uh the 34 who have flipped um you know that was that was that was inertia that was like the 22 smashed into him they picked the car up so I can understand why that car flipped it was almost like the Tony Stewart wreck at Talladega I me he got hit so hard it picked the car off the ground so I understand why his car flipped but the four no no excuse didn't happen and got to do something but let me know in the comments below what you thought about the race
