[Applause] in a little bit of shocking news uh the Minnesota Vikings have released jiren Hall and replaced him with journeyman quarterback Brett rien which I I really wasn't expecting today like I know that we're all kind of getting over the 53 man cutdowns and everything it's just I don't know like this one really shocks me because the Vikings had themselves in my opinion a very good quarterback three in jiren Hall and now instead to roll with Brett rippen and it's it's confusing because jiren Hall bowled out in the in the preseason excuse me four touchdowns no picks um felt like we had seen a guy that was really taking steps forward and looked like he was ready to go right like didn't make a whole lot of sense to me uh and now at the very least we're going to roll with Brett riing and maybe hopefully hopefully if we're lucky somehow get Hall down to the practice squad like I just I really don't get it uh and and don't get me wrong j like uh Brett rien is a guy that I mean he's serviceable uh you know over at Boise State he was I mean he was amazing whatever it is over 13,000 passing yards uh 90 touchdowns 29 picks came into the NFL and it I mean okay like 950 yards passing four touchdowns nine picks in his career like he's not amazing like he just not going to wow you uh and so like I said this this move really does shock me uh because overall the Vikings had themselves the number one and the number two uh in uh you know obviously it starts up with Sam Donald then Nick Mullen and then uh they had uh and then they had uh jiren Hall but now they're in a spot where jiren Hall's gone be lucky to get him on the practice squad and now you're going to roll with uh Brett rien like I said it just it really doesn't make any sense to me like why would you have to roster Brett rippen uh I understand maybe maybe a little bit of it is like okay maybe they're not a 100% comfortable with h because he did look not good against the uh uh Raiders like he really didn't look that good but uh at the same time it's like that he bounced back nicely over the last two preseason games and everything and he looked like he could run this offense like he can throw the ball deep he can step up in the pocket if he needs to and he was really making a lot of plays and so like I said th overall this makes no sense to me uh especially with how things are going to uh line up with uh potentially a team taking jiren Holland putting them out either on his PR on their practice squad or their active roster and at the very can we not trade him like was that not an option I I don't even know like this this move just shocks me overall but overall let us know what you guys think that the Vikings have released or waved excuse me quarterback jiren Hall uh and have replaced him with Brett rippen uh basically uh going to be that third quarterback on the roster maybe they'll bring in the fourth maybe jiren Hall be that fourth but I don't know overall let us know what you guys think like comment and subscribe down below we'll see you on the next video
