orange peanut and we're here to talk to you about pick them that may give you the advantage that you need to win on the week however first we're going to shame yah shame on you Yahoo you took away League pick them you sorry sacks of [ __ ] like what what the freaking hell why were your servers that filled was the one person was Milton wadams with his server job in your basement did he just was that too heavy of a red stapler guys why do you think Yahoo did it used it probably only people that actually use it could be we used it we used to have fun we used it and I I I did a Google search on it and apparently there's a lot of other people like who were complaining about it too Yahoo let us all down with bull pick thems uh oh but don't worry we've got a crappy new app in place so everything is great nice shiny new app which two day trying to figure out where it went God yeah I'm not a fan of the new app it it seems like it's mostly the same but it looks so different that I can't find everything like oh here's yeah here here's another one this makes me so sad we also did it as a side competition just like us yeah yeah it is sad we used to look at each other's teams and used to provide little insights as to what player was was doing what right like the recent nudes with uh Clyde Edwards hair having a problem that he's probably not going to show up for week one in terms of playing and so oh stuff like that where we'd look at be like why do you have such you know what do you know what I'm gonna miss the most in the league pick them is the commission razzled Dazzle that he would pull every once in a while where all a sudden it's just like he's got no one going on the team we don't know who he's gonna pick myy all the way to all well shame on you Yahoo for for doing this but we should raise a toast because I don't think we did this last year if we did do this I think we did do this last year we should raise a toast to last year's Champion Grody gloer who took the 2023 uh pick them award and kamish just looked this up it was followed by sippy cup skins the kamish uh boss I'm I'm pretty low I think I just barely beat a guy who barely play at all Eric so that was that is what that was Grody um are you going to apply a similar strategy this year as you did last year yeah absolutely it doesn't change it won it did win so see but the around thing is still flowing with it there that's what you down in my bottom right hand screen when I'm pointing to this way um that's where the point total go for round the horn we'll see if ice house for life can actually on the week here normally he's Prett down but Abby we didn't look up a ton of stats like that for these games so that's probably just going to be a low scoring week but we'll see we'll see someone might know something I bet you the mes know something here and they probably know something about with Grody knowing a little bit about the Monday night the Monday night and fr play the ners what do you know Grody well I mean the only real interesting fact which I mean obviously it's not a playoff game which kind of sucks but Aon Rogers is 0 and four against the the 49ers in uh the playoffs he's six and three against them in the regular season so obviously that was with Green Bay he's with a different team uh the one interesting fact I actually picked up today because I was watching uh scrolling through Twitter uh Leonard Floyd uh was the gentleman who chased and sacked Aaron Rogers when he TS Achilles last year on Monday night and he is on the 49ers and he will be again chasing Aaron Rogers potentially the other ailles on Monday night four plays into the season um I mean other than that I don't really have much um I I definitely am I'm picking San Fran in this game I just have no no faith in the Jets I think there's a lot of um talk about their head coach uh Robert CL using his job if they don't start out too well uh pretty pretty tough starting out against you know San France uh defending uh NFC Champs so I got them I got them for seven points to three and a half right now I think you know pretty much you four points essentially to win by I think is very easy I'm sure say very easy for them to do but definitely easier for them to do especially now that they kept Brandon auk on the 49ers uh getting signed to that deal which helps Brock pby because then it gives him you know continue solid weapons to throw too so and I just I think the edge offensively goes to 49ers versus the Jets where I think their Edge is probably their more their defense than their offense just because obviously this will be Aaron Rogers first real year again if if he makes it out of the game yeah yeah right yeah how many plays did he have last year four four that's embarrassing Rogers just just stop just crawl back into your little dark base smoke a do or five and just you know do what you need to do all right so Gro did you say seven on San Fran yeah seven on San FR seven on San Fran skins what do you think um I just doing a couple quick looks it looks like Tyrod Taylor is the backup for the Jets this year for that that's trod Taylor so um with that defense at least you won't have Zack Wilson starting are backing him up again this year so that that bodess a little bit better for him it does um I do like I do like the Jets to at least keep it close uh the 49ers had um Trump Williams held out iuk held out so there's there's a few key pieces on offense that didn't practice all preseason um so with that said I'm going to go with the uh I'm going to take I'm going to take the jet or 12 points 12 points on the Jets for skins for that all right kamish oh kamish is muted as of right now sorry about that you're good uh let's see last year Monday night favorites we're a five out of 19 I'm taking the Jets TI points oh five they're gonna lose by a field goal oh one more that's funny that you mentioned that five and 19 one more thing I heard on a uh podcast earlier today I'm gonna give him a quick shout out it's called the favorites uh by bet 365 um they do a rundown of each game every week but they mentioned the losing team of the Super Bowl in the last uh 24 years is 5 and 19 against the spread uh their in their week one game wow wow wow yeah and I think it was four and nine when it's over a field goal which was which this one is as well so I like that all right we got a spot on there for the Jets all right boss I'm gonna take San Fran for eight points eight points for San Fran any reason no there's a better team so four point spread you know [ __ ] three and a half you know like whatever man I'll give you that give you that one there all right so I get the split somebody I thought I heard on the Ballers that Trent is returning for to start he is he just hadn't practiced all year or all preseason is what I was getting so that good as Aaron Rogers hasn't practice all right I mean he has but it's like it's gonna be so hard year [ __ ] him I'll take my chances you take your CH you take your chances yeah all right I'm taking the chances with you I'm gonna go San Fran I think the Jets you have to take a giant dump and [ __ ] out your terrible quarterback that you are you know working with right now there's a big poopy quarterback maybe get some mirax for that or something like that that uh you know I'm going to go 12 points on San Fran uh I like my personal strategy and this this clearly is not a winning strategy but I do like winning big for the last game of the week I think that's uh that's helped me at times but probably my choices were not always very good in years prior for doing this um okay let's move on over to skins who's going to talk about I have at Washington visiting Tampa Bay going down to sunny Florida what do you know about that skins yeah Washington is going down to Tampa they got a lot of new coaches in place their roster is very turned over from last year so there's there's a big reason all these Washington guys will they'll need a few games to put it together uh meanwhile the Bucks are kind of at the opposite end of the spectrum they've kept all their top players throughout the off season the way it feels some resigns um Baker Mayfield still there and he has another year of uh working with his receivers that they all brought back and on top of that I mean it's it's they are a dangerous football team you know Mike Evans Chris Godwin are still coming back uh V and Antoine Winfield uh still coming back on defense and they R some Havoc last year um there's a lot of uncertainties surrounding the commanders right now so it's hard to predict them to win I mean you got a rookie QB playing on the road for his first game uh this year so really the only way to go for this game is commanders for 16 points ah who saw that one coming huh who saw that one yeah there it is got to figure out where that soundboard of mine is I like that there um swinging over to to the commish Commish skins has put 60 points on his commanders uh what about you oh I got eight points on Tampa eight points on Tampa boss oh Max points and Tampa they're GNA wreck wow you against your brother like that wow that's right that's a you're right you're right you know I mean I don't like the three points I don't like the three points on there Washington uh I'm gonna put six points on the commanders Without Really knowing exactly why I'm doing it I I'm going to go low because I don't like a three-point spread that's that to me is that to me smells like a push and as the commish has stated in previous uh years the push happens in a decent enough amount of times happened six times last year yeah see out of 272 games that happened six times I 2% chance really thought I thought I remember it being a little bit your odds there then John you know maybe I will maybe we start off on a smart foot okay yeah I like that so let's go so I'm going to follow the herd here Tampa Bay at 77 so I'm going to go eight points on Tampa Bay you you've convinced me overall last year if it was a zero to three point spread the favorite one 52% of the time slight odds in the favorite all right uh Grody back oh well Grody is also muted as well we wait for him so 52% was for the the favorites on a three-point spread zero to three point so no ads on the juice there yeah three and a half to Seven Points was exactly 50% at 48 out of 96 7 and a half to 10 points was 46% and if it was over 10 points the favorite was the correct pick 61.9% of the time it's really the only one that out beats the juice problem yeah yeah yeah well we'll come back to Grody after he's done flushing and washing his hands here um what uh what what time is this game is the 3:5 uh uh yeah three or 3:25 yeah yeah afternoon games afternoon games last year the favorites were the winner 39 out of 69 times for 56 and a half per. W skins you sure about that Washington these stats sound pretty solid here oh 100% come on all the reasons I gave you rookie QD away Stadium probably gonna be hot I think I think there's weather going down into Florida oh there really now come Sunday too really I thought would just stand still it that actually might lean you to take um any of The Underdogs just because it might be close game if think they're in Buffalo yes they're in Buffalo yeah what do you know kamish well the only thing I know is let's see last year Buffalo was an abysmal what is that seven n and one against the spread they had yeah they had the one push when week 13 when it was a three point spread they were the they were the underdog twice last year went one and one when they were favorites they went six and eight which is odd because that's or not odd there was H that's not trending in a good direction that's weird beginning of the season they could handle the big spread then they couldn't handle the big spread then they could by the end no then they couldn't by the end of the year fascinating yeah they they had that coaching change offensive coordinator coaching change about half they've lost defon Diggs who seems like he was I wouldn't say necessarily a cancer but he definitely doesn't seem like he's that great of a team player yeah I mean I gotta hand it to people 84% of people are taking Buffalo currently with a Sixpoint spread which is funny because the average confidence is also so 8.4 oh pretty pretty alignment of the stars there if you ask me uh I got three points I'm going to throw it Buffalo's way I'm going to go with the 84 percenters let me see on my percentage stats of last year in the 80s the favorite was correct 20 out of 36 times for what is that 55% oh wow good stats for that one there all right so we got when Yahoo users what ever is on the right side the that Collective that they have yeah the confidence there yeah all right so kamish has three points on let's go Buffalo boss I'm gonna take six points in Arizona really I think you you know you Arizona's they got Kyler Murray back they can pull it off six that's [Music] cool I'm gonna stick with the on Wow excellent excellent excellent um all right boss we are we come to you and you have Baltimore going on over to the Chiefs to play in the weather uh nine points on the Chiefs that's all I got for you any anything interesting about as a closet Chiefs fan what is what is exciting most to you this year on the Chiefs nothing man they're gonna win well I mean there's got to be someone that excites think about that one or why I don't know what Eric may not know what he's doing over here no all right so I'm putting nine points in Baltimore uh Grody I mean they can Baltimore could definitely use Derrick Henry to keep Patrick Mahomes on the the side Sidelines they could potentially win the game but I it's hard to to go against the defending champs I honestly I think the thing that I would have wanted to look up would would have been what's the defending champs record in their first game just to see um but I can't it's hard to pick against Patrick Mahomes um they've got wide receivers that not only speed on the field but off the field um so I got 12 points and I'm throwing the Chief's Way 12 points to the chiefs with some actual content I can broadcast thank you Grody um skins we're saved okay uh so the last 20 years the home team has won 14 games and lost six oh but one of those six was the Chiefs last year against the Lions they lost this is a rematch of the AFC Championship game last year uh where the Ravens inexplicably after running the ball all year and being able to win games that way just abandoned the running game and did stupid [ __ ] and L to the Chiefs 17 to10 so I think Baltimore will not make that mistake this year you got Derk Henry and I think they will run it this time and that will be enough to keep it close if not outright win it against the Chiefs give me Baltimore for 10 points 10 points on the apple core kames you have a decision that is a split each one of us have picked the other team at least once here so two to two what do you think yeah the Super Bowl champ has lost the last two uh start of the season game so let's make it three in a row I'm going to go Baltimore for 13 13 on the Baltimore good reason to do for that I almost finally intended to change it but I always like it when we have good enough Insight that like it change that's saying that's the thing I wanted that's the thing I wanted to know it's like you know like look at that 0 and two that's like that's that's a start of a trend and if they lose then it's like it's 0 and three like [ __ ] like that's that's that it could happen so very much so uh let's see so I picked the U Las Vegas Raiders going to uh Sunny Los Angeles for an 88 degrees it's always sunny in Los Angeles like why would they even put the weather I mean I guess it's a nap anyway uh speaking of the Run game I guess the Harbaugh are just talking to each other about Run games because I think Lo the Chargers have just been like passing who needs that we're just gonna go run run the ball all day long we'll see if that strategy Works um I myself on my team picked up one of the wide receivers in the hopes that maybe Justin Herbert might throw a ball at least a few times but it was like a 13th or a 12th round pick so if it doesn't pan out um oh well Vegas leads the series 6958 with two ties over the span of both teams existing um there has been very heavily been for the past uh couple of years the home team has been the uh uh one to uh to win the games for the most part so whoever's playing at home seems to be the bigger winner going down to the actual percentages you've got 73% of folks picking the Chargers um I want to quote real fast so Jim Harbaugh is apparently absolutely hysterical he has been doing what coaches I guess really like to do and that's feed the Press absolute nonsense uh in terms of what is but it's so funny of a nonsense some of it just doesn't make like literal sense at all um I think in particular he talked about the Chargers coming into the main season we are like a team straight from the uterus what not sure what it means not sure anyone knows what it means Harbaugh probably doesn't really know what it means so there's a lot of things that don't seem to make sense for this uh so they're a cheerleader uh yes uh there and it gets funnier with this I won't quote too much charger stuff I you know Jim might be a little bit messed up in the head uh all right so anyway it looks like about uh uh 73% of people are picking the Chargers on a three-point spread uh they have won a lot of games like between these two teams the home team seems to be winning a little bit more often uh so I will go with the Chargers and uh since it's a little bit of a later game uh three-point spread I'll go I'll go 10 points on the Chargers seems about right uh Grody I have I've got nine points and I'm throwing a Garder the STA mu's way for the Raiders oh I like the competition I like that there um okay skins you know it's like New Year's Day it feels like being born it feels like coming out of the womb you're in there and it's comfortable and safe and now you're out you're born the lights are on it's bright chaos people are looking at you people talking at you it just feels good have it happen yes this is upon being a question of are they ready to play and it's like what is he talking about yep Justin Herbert said I will leave the analogies to him but with that said uh I feel like this is probably GNA be a Raiders home game taking place in LA because everyone hates the Chargers there they have low attendance since the Raiders are fired up I don't care if it's Garder muu or Aiden oconnell I feel like they can take care of the Chargers but I don't like the three point spread and just on the what 2% chance that we get a push I'm gonna I got two points on the on Vegas okay that makes sense there two point Rooney Kish I got nine points on Las Vegas nine points on Las Vegas followed up by boss seven points Chargers seven points on the Chargers a lot of splits happening except for that Washington game here so this will create some some good spreads terms of where we are going for uh for later on um but once again let's cheers to Grody for winning last year champion of the pickham and he gets to end the night uh for the terms of the teams that we're talking about by about Tennessee coming up to Chicago to fight a newly and very Advanced looking Chicago Bears Grody what do you know well the Bears and Titans have only met total of 13 times the Titans leading that series seven to six with their last uh win coming four years ago in Tennessee they won 24 to 17 so it's been a while um one thing I was trying to look up but unfortunately really wouldn't give me a breakdown um but I was trying to look up what rookie QBs are I was going to use this stat in the Washington game but I figured I'd save it for here rookie QBs in their first games of week one are it's they have a record of 17 32 and one uh so there's going to be one Ricky QB adding to that win total that will be Caleb Williams not Jaden Daniels for Washington so that that'll be after he loses and then Caleb wins it'll be 18 and 33 will be the total um but yeah I um I'm picking the Bears in this game I think with Tennessee changing coaches I know they got will Levitz there who did have some some good things last year they don't have Derrick Henry you don't really have you know much of a powerful running game to rely on anymore not that I think that it would be that well against Chicago since it's how like I think the last six games last year they were I think like either like top three or number one against the run so uh hopefully that Trend continues this year um it be it's going to be an electric game I don't have much confidence that they can win by more than you know five essentially um four and a half spread I got four points on it but I think if the Bears can win I think they can win on a a late field goal you know three points and and sorry I meant to say got Tennessee covering but the Bears winning uh four on Tennessee because the Bears could win by a late field goal and still not you know cover the four and a half so excellent and four points going to the Bears skins rebuttal sorry I'm changing the picks to the bears oh actually I already had the Bears I'm just changing my points I had him at four I like him at eight uh eight now um uh Titans their major free agency signing was uh sne as their quarterback and so if you want to put a prop I think Rome if ke if Keenan Allen's out I think Roman dun like take his over on whatever his receiving yards is on DK or whatever gambling site I think I think Rome is gonna Feast if Keenan's out because uh sne will be covering DJ Mo but I like the Bears defense enough um to to uh put enough pressure on on will Levis I would not be surprised if the Bears defense scores more points than the Titans offense at Soldier Field give me eight points on Chicago eight points on the Bears I like your optimism on that one skins I do Commish uh four and a half is actually surprisingly one of the larger spreads cuz there are so many threes so I only have four points on this game and um the Bears don't need to beat them by more than five they only need to beat them by five to cover this spread Kevin so uh I'm not I'm not so I'm not saying the Bears offense can't do it I'm more inclined to believe like Stan that the Bears defense will do it so I've got four points on Chicago I like that one I like that four points on Chicago boss I'm taking a dozen on Chicago I'm going all in baby wow big wow got Chicago's defense on my fantasy team in this league and I'm going going big on this you know this one too so it's like week one I like that let's go boys yeah I'm so the the Ballers on today's episode we talking about about like what are some of the things that they're really really excited for and they pretty much just said the entire Bears team this looks like a completely new team and they may legit have enough to make it all the way through the playoffs into a championship with all the excitement that's been generated I'm excited for that as well which is why I'm going to be going 14 points on Chicago I I really want to see I I love the way all the preseason games look I know they're pre pre season games but it's just exciting to see action I'm excited to see some action happening not to mention my father-in-law and several of my students are Titans fans and if you're watching this going down you're probably not watching this but you're going down down that's what you're going to Titans aren't gonna make it very far all right roll that back a second Titans have fans yes they do have fans people from Tennessee didn't realize anyone give a [ __ ] they even have a stadium I drive pass it every time I go to Florida I always F like a tourist town you know it's like there there is a surprising number of Titans fans in Cleveland um because fans were really pissed when the Browns left for Baltimore um not they didn't leave but the owner moved them to Baltimore and the fans were really really pissed that they didn't want to come back and be Browns fans so they picked another team that moved that was just like well you had move as well so there is actually a decent number of Titans fans within the Cleveland area that sympathize with the the whole move thing um more than I would normally you know think of with that yeah that's a very uh way that's a it's a thing there um let's head up back up to the top for Quick Picks going down supposedly remains to be seen been practicing you live the closest to Cincinnati why don't you know well I heard today on the Ballers that he was not playing and so it's a it's right he's not practicing as of right now and the Zack Taylor was very much like we're taking it day by day and the Ballers were an inch away from the panic button so I've they something I think's New England's so [ __ ] bad it doesn't matter whether he plays or not that's there that was the one guy's argument like he'll suit up he'll probably play and the other guy's like no it's an injur you don't play your star player that injured and it was a it was a little bit of a fight yeah I mean but I'm I'm going to go with the Bengals myself um so in our league here in the neighborhood League Katie really likes um Joe burrow she has a hoodie with him on there and everything and I sniped that quarterback from her so I was like every time you wear that hoodie you're cheering my team so I'll put a I'll put a three spot on the Bengals for them and there groy I have one on the bolds solid Uno for that and skins it feels dirty but I'm taking the Patriots with three oh the contrarian comes out it's the three o'clock 3:25 game okay no oh yeah in the afternoon 4 it's an afternoon game that probably most people will see and they're in the same time zone I think maybe one time zone away yeah no Dallas is probably one behind no so it's eastern yeah yeah Dallas is Central so have to they have to they're losing an hour yeah oh yeah the only the only benefit that uh Cleveland has is that the favorites in the afternoon games are 39 out of 69 or 56 a half% and really doesn't offset the other two no that does not um all right I've got the last game here uh Detroit hosting the Rams uh and I don't have anything more than a point left so I'm going to toss it uh uh Detroit's way for a point Ro I got eight points on Detroit Eight on Detroit skins I think this G be a shootout but I think it's going to
