WEEK ONE AFTERMATH: Bills & Chiefs Win, Jets & Bengals Lose, and Jason Kelce Is Strugglin' on MNF

week one is over the bills won wasn't always pretty but the bills won oh at that time it didn't make the fireworks go off that's probably for the best let's talk about the aftermath of all the games we'll start with the Chiefs game since that was the first game Chiefs look scary good like really good I hate you all you know perfect but especially with Hollywood Brown coming back I this this definitely does not look good for the other people people in AFC West including the Raiders who are a deeply unserious [Music] team they lost to the Chargers the other Harbaugh Le team we're going to have a Harbaugh versus Harbaugh off later in the season between the Chargers and the Ravens the Ravens I don't get the Ravens I don't get Lamar I don't get it and I know everybody's going to say that I'm just biased because he beat Josh at the MVP award but like I just don't get it like yeah he can run so can [Music] Josh but that's neither here nor there we'll talk about the MVP when it comes to that later in the season let's see how players do throughout the season cuz Josh Allen looked very good except for that first fumble I was very nervous after the the first Bumble I was like oh my God are we doing season opener to Electric Baloo with turnovers and then we didn't so it was good Josh had two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns which I believe makes him tied for Dan Marino as the person who's done that the most times so if he does it again this season he beats Dan Marino at something which is always an impressive stat hated Dan Murray now but damn he was good I saw a lot of people who play fantasy football who were pretty peeved about the fact the dton concade only had one catch I think that was the most glaring example of how this bills offense is going to go this year so if you're playing fantasy I I wouldn't bet on big points from any one skill player on the bills CU they're going to spread this around khil Shakir I believe had the most catches on the oh no Keon might have Keon had the most yards I know Keon looked great Keon looked like he'd just been playing for years he didn't look like he had to be a superstar but he had that one really great contested catch which is what we got him for the Chiefs got worthy to be a little Speedster we got Keon Coleman for contested catches and he showed us we he could do that good job everybody except for the Cardinals who have Marvin Harrison and have no idea what to do with him clearly you know the bills were targeting Marvin Harrison so for whatever I said about the safeties and the corners looking disorganized during the game looking back at it the corners were doing a pretty good job job given that Marvin Harrison got one shitty little catch so maybe it was the r Douglas game and we just didn't see it he didn't do anything showy the way that Greg rouso did Greg rouso had an amazing game totally lived up to what he was doing in the preseason I'm super excited about that I think six solo tackles three sacks two sacks at least Von Miller had a sack his first sack since he came back from his injuries pretty happy about that wasn't the showest sack but it was serviceable did what it needed to do at the right point in the game basically I can't complain about the Bill's game because anytime James Cook comes off at the end of the game with a big smile on his face something has gone very right let's go Buffalo the bills really turned it on in the second half defensively compared to the first half they look like in the first half defensively and I'm not going to say I'm not still nervous I'm definitely still nervous especially with Taran Johnson out and he may be out for the foreseeable future I don't like that they're not giving us a lot of specifics on that that feels an awful lot like Matt Milano last year just like we don't forearm leg what we don't know what it could be like yes you do tell us please speaking of tell us please A lot of people are real mad about Christian mcaffrey last night in the ners game he was listed as questionable on the injury report so anybody who was going into this game betting on the ners sure that mcaffrey was going to play that was silly of you but the guy who replaced him last night Mason who had had an amazing game this undrafted free agent from a couple years ago just blew the Jets Out defense out of the water it was incredible to watch especially somebody who hates the Jets but then after the game Mason was asked by the sideline reporter when he found out he was going to start and he gave this very sort of vague like I don't know maybe Friday sort of answer people are livid that he supposedly knew that he was going to start on Friday Kyle Shanahan clarified after the game that they told him on Friday that it was very possible that he would start and that he needed to be prepared to potentially start Mason's in his interview after the game crying because he feels like he up on the biggest night of his life I feel terrible for the guy I don't know Shanahan's explanation sounds pretty plausible to me but I'm the sort of naive dope who gives people the benefit of the doubt all the time and I don't bet so I don't care but also you guys won anyway if you bet it on the ners so just stop making this poor kid feel bad like I feel so bad for him so congratulations Jordan Mason you got to work on your post game skills but otherwise nice showing you should be really proud of yourself that was pretty amazing other great showing from Monday Night Football was Jason Kelce I love Jason Kelce this man did show up with a shirt on but it was a shirt that didn't fit him and he used the word tits on his Premiere Performance on Monday Night Football to describe what was going on with his ill-fitting shirt fits my belly now I've lost a little bit of away but my tits are still struggling I love him please put him on all the sports casts all the time good form right the thg slippers that's my night of the Apollo dance right there he did a great job other than just saying tits which I just enjoyed but he great great commentary it it's always fun to have an offensive lineman there I noticed that on the Bills game the other night too I complained about getting ort of like fifth string announcers on that Bills game that made me not feel like the league is filled with confidence about how that game was going to go whether it was going to be even vaguely interesting but there was a lot of really great commentary from the offensive lineman whose name I'm blanking on who was one of the guys in the booth especially because there were a lot of false starts there was that nasty face mask that osir Torrance pulled that got that touchdown called back and on the khil Shakir touchdown Dion Dawkins threw a block that was just Monumental and so hearing the game being called by a guy who knew exactly what it took to make that block was pretty cool Brandon iuk should not be very proud of himself he had kind of a crummy game for somebody who just made a tool of himself in the offseason and ended up getting a big bag and then dropped a really easy pass I say really easy like I could do any of this none of them are easy all of this is hard but at least they signed him and he came back as opposed to the Jets with h reik who I think had to pay 80,000 or something like that for missing yesterday's game something insane he's just not they they haven't gotten him to play at all with the team since they traded for him that's insane to me the Jets did not look good I have been saying the Jets would not be good I don't usually know what I'm talking about all that much but I just didn't understand it I didn't understand this idea that Aaron Rogers would come back as a [Music] superstar he looked fine but he did like he wasn't doing anything showy and his teammates were not showing up for him either he got pulled at the end for Tyrod Taylor because they didn't want him to get injured again and then Tyrod got a touchdown admittedly the Niners were not bringing a lot of heat to Tyrod Taylor at the end of that game but still I'm always happy to see Tyrod do well he might be the best backup quarterback in the entire NFL if I was the Packers I might be trying to be in some conversations with the Jets for Tyrod Taylor right about now because o losing love after signing that huge contract in the first game that has to hurt I watched part of that game I was kind of bored apparently it only got interesting in the last play when Jordan love got hurt other Sunday games Panthers looked like it's a day that ends in why Giants looked like against Vikings who I assumed were going to look like don't play Too Well Vikings we have your second round pick I hope this was a one-off patriots beating the Bengals no one saw that coming good job Gerard Mayo like that's cool for your first game but I don't need to be worrying about the Patriots I just stopped worrying about the Jets now I have to worry about the Patriots too no no no no no this that's a fluke Steelers beat the Falcons Kirk Cousins did not look great I don't why are we signing these 40-year-old guys with Achilles tears and then being like why aren't they playing awesome they're old and they broke their most important foot part Texans Colt sound like a good game that I would not have enjoyed watching the end of congratulations Stefan digs you can catch short passes can't catch long ones anymore apparently we'll see we'll see when the honeymoon wears off for that I don't have a lot of faith that he's going to make you any happier than he made us he'll win you some games apparently but at what point does it stop being worth it when there are other people who can win you games like Kil Shakir I learned this morning that khil Shakir is a big potty mouth they had him miked up for the game I would not have guessed that I I kind of had him pegged as a goodie two shoes he's very Christian he has golden retriever puppy and cute blonde wife like I just thought he was all wholesome that kid swears like a is nice he's a wide receiver I don't know why of course of course I'm so like I said I'm very naive Titans Bears ooh well Lis ooh will Lis Caleb Williams did not have a good game but oo will Levis and roma D got hurt so we had kale they won Bears won I was very much all about this Bears glow up for the season I had high hopes for them but Caleb Williams did not show out and now his star rookie receiver is hurt so good luck to the Bears Lions are going to run away with that division they ran away with the game the other night at the end like literally ran it away that Jared go Matthew Stafford rivalry is fun I wish I watched that game that game sounded delightful like just really solid on everybody's part that's what football should look like is that game just hard fought Jaguars dolphins really Jags you couldn't helped us out a little bit here I hate you guys I hate you guys almost as much as the Dolphins but not as much as the Dolphins I hate the Dolphins I'm pretty sure both both of the Dolphins running backs got hurt though so we'll see what that results in on our Thursday night game this week Josh hurt his hand and so everybody was like oh my God it's a short week will he be able to play on Thursday he is cleared to play on Thursday with his janky left hand so that's good news we'll be all right Broncos Seahawks don't care I heard B knck had a shitty game I hate Shawn pton Cowboys Browns uh I was just seeing tweets come in as this game was going on I was not actually watching uh have fun with DeShawn Watson's contract Cleveland that's uh that maybe wasn't uh your finest administrative choice of all time Commander bucks Baker Mayfield man like this guy's going to prove some people wrong last year he did great I think he's sneaking back up again and he's going to be a lot better than people expect him to be I don't think he's going to be the best quarterback in the league by any means but he's solid and I don't think people give him enough credit he he made it into the Pro Bowl last year but that was just because like everybody else wanted to go golfing so I guess that's all the games I will be doing a reaction video to the Bills game on Thursday Chiefs play the Bengals on Sunday I should be able to react to that one too I'm curious to see how the Bengals do against the Chiefs considering how they did against the Patriots maybe it was a fluke but I'm curious to see who the Chiefs Rivals are going to be if the AFC continues the way it did this week it was a little perplexing I'll see you guys on Friday go bills yes
