Springtime Surprise Merch Preview and runDisney Running Etiquette With Peg Leg Pete?

hello there running ears it's Manny and we are about to begin the season I mean tomorrow we have registration for the springtime surprise it used to be Star Wars that's why I'm wearing this shirt and then after that a week from this weekend we start the series with the Disneyland Halloween so very exciting news coming up we got registration coming tomorrow and then I am going to do a video on running etiquette yes running etiquette but before we do guys just as before please Subs subscribe to the channel keep it growing remember this is your channel more importantly keep asking questions keep suggesting stuff uh please comment down below anything that you want to say I will always answer if I don't give me some time sometimes I miss a question here and there and I apologize for that but I will always try to get around to answering every single one of your questions whether I I write it down there or I make a video about it so first things first tomorrow we have registration for Springtime surprise which used to be Star Wars and a lot of people are still going like when is Star Wars coming back well again uh we can get into that topic but we're not going to so what they did drop is we were able to see because clubber and Disney is registering as we speak right now they have until tonight to do so so we got to see some of the merchandise that is coming out some of the pre-sale merchandise that you will be able to buy tomorrow now before I show you that merchandise again my thought process is skip it for now especially if you're trying to register for the 5K and the 10K uh get there register go back in the next few days and then that's when you can buy your merchandise but let's take a look at the merchandise so we first start off with a bundle that has a coracle the ornament the sticker and probably a pin this is for the weekend that also have a weekend backpack or loungefly I'm not sure they usually have Lounge flies but this is it uh so now they got the weekend uh sweater or the sweatshirt uh this is actually pretty cool I like this one then the weekend shirt this one looks pretty cool also I just don't know what the um what the material is then we got it looks like a female shirt um and this is a weekend shirt also now we're going to get to the spirit jersey the spirit jersey for the weekend this actually looks pretty cool uh then we actually have a passholder bundle here uh looks like it's a Big Hero 6 uh uh one so then we also have I'm not sure what this is this might just be a pin cuz we're coming up on the pin bundles so we're going to start off with uh the first challenge pin bundle and so you see these the the one that has a question mark is the metal one that hasn't been released yet and then we got the 10er so with um Miss elasy girl and then we got Hercules my favorite I love Hercules at 10K so this is going to be the the pin bundle then we got some shirts running again tomorrow and it's a Big Hero 6 this one's actually pretty cool then we also have uh don't forget to stretch this one's actually pretty cool with The Incredibles and credy girl and uh we got a Zero to Hero this is going to be a cool one like I said I might probably get a few Hercules shirts and then we got Groot Groot is going to be uh out there also so this is it now guys what do you think I am in love with Hercules merchandise I'm probably going to get a shirt a pin something to that effect I love love love Hercules I think he's over do and uh he should have been in these races before and now he's there so I love that one that's my favorite but which one is your favorite now before we move on to running etiquette which I know this is overdue I need to get this video out um I think that the 5K and the 10K are going to sell out pretty fast tomorrow I do think the challenge is going to last a little bit longer and I do think the 10 Mile might last a few weeks uh and yes you heard that correctly might last a few weeks again I may be wrong but that's been historically what's been going on there's a number of reasons uh that that happens but there's also the Afterparty La this past year so it was earlier this year the Afterparty stayed open until the day of the party so I still would if you really want to do it there's not going to be any discounts or anything like that so if you really badly want to do it get it as soon as possible I'm probably going to do the Afterparty again I enjoyed myself last year and I'm going to go there again this year so now let's get to running etiquette now this is something that Disney does a little video on they talk a lot with or not a lot but they do cover it when we're doing the runs they talk about you know what's proper running etiquette so forth and so on but like I do for my registration videos this one's a lot more entailed so let's get started so first off the one thing that I'm going to have to say is read all the information we're going to go over the next video that's coming out we're going to be going over the whole digital event guide which is going to have answers to a lot of questions somebody said this uh on social media and I I agree with this about 90% of your questions are going to be answered if you read the digital event guide and this includes running etiquette what can you wear what you can't wear what you should do so forth and so on what time should should you be there all that stuff and again we're going to go over it in the next video this this video will be coming out in the next few days so um read the event guide it's going to be something that is it's going to be your Bible for this uh these races now these are a little bit more guidelines than they are etiquette but it it contributes to the etiquette start in your Corral or go backwards do not try to skip forward that is not proper etiquette I have actually read on social media where people say I jump the the the Corrals all the time and get up there as quickly as I can that is not proper etiquette no matter what happened whether you're fast or slower whatever it was you didn't get your proper Corral you're still this is not proper etiquette keep in mind one thing if you continue to do this this it's going to trickle down so all of a sudden they're going to start seeing that this is going to be happening so now they're going to get stricter and more strict and more strict and then people are going to go like why are they doing this and it is because people are breaking the rules so please do not break these rules proper etiquette stay in your Corral once it's time to go if you can get to your Corral or your wave towards the front go and try to get as as far ahead of people that as you can but don't just do it because again you got to remember if also if everybody does this everybody tries to jump I mean I'd be the only one in the back with the balloon ladies and the dead last starters we'd be by ourselves everybody would have been taken off and it's just not going to be something that's viable so the next one is the one that they talk about all the time it's kind of like traffic when it comes to Vehicles okay so if you move if you're going to be walking go to the right you're going to pass on the left okay so if you are walking walking slower you're slowing down then move to the right uh Power walkers light joggers move a little bit more to the left and of course Runners all the way to the left and that's way you have it's kind of like a a highway flow and it'll be the best flow is it going to be perfect at times probably not but at least it gives you the best chance so another one is having to do with the pictures and yes there should be some etiquette when taking pictures those of you who have been out on the courses or have seen my videos you will know uh those of you have not be prepared because what happens is people will block your uh videos or your pictures there will be picture Ops uh opportunities on the course and people will block them so my my uh advice to you is that if you see a photographer you're going to be taking some pictures and great take the pictures I always turn and I look to see where people are there I kind of signal to them I go in take a couple pictures and move out so that way I can actually uh get out and so they can get some pictures also now when it comes to character pictures all right the one thing that I suggest is 3 four maybe 5 Seconds at the most and leave so the thing is if you're already in line you're probably going to be in line there's going to be very few that you're going to run up to but keep in you're going to have enough time to think about the poses that you want to do do two three poses and move on if you want to take group pictures do them as quickly as possible and move on and the reason is is because every single person especially when it comes to the 10K and later is trying there are trying to avoid the balloon L and of course that means being being swept so they're trying to avoid that so the longer that you stay taking pictures the more that they're going to back uh be backed up so and sometimes they could be there for four or five minutes because people are backing up and I have witnessed this where people actually sit there and they actually uh start posing and then oh I got to do this and I got to do this and stuff 20 seconds later they're still taking pictures that is not acceptable again I would say four 5 Seconds at the most move on so when you're out on the course and is going to go over this but I will start it here is you don't want to run where there's more than two of you next to each other um if you're towards the back you got an open area and there's more chance there's more room then yes go ahead and do that especially your family you got little on so forth and so on that would be a great thing I I think that's be amazing that when you're running with your friends your family especially it's because of something that's going on with your lives you're trying to overcome something that's great that's fantastic but on the most part stay at the most two uh two across and then people behind you so it's more single file there used to be and I haven't seen them in a while there used to be the Dopey Runners and there was seven of them and they ran in single file they were perfect I I used to love watching them because they actually were great at etiquette and I think it's something that we could learn is that we stay in single file one of them would drop back get to the back and then they could stay in single file and it doesn't take that that much of an effort to do that and again you're not blocking because after a while you start doing that you start blocking traffic and the more across especially in the narrow way uh narrow Pathways you're going to really block and so all of a sudden it's going to it's just going to congest back to the back and then again you're going to slow down you're going to get closer to the balloon ladies you're going to get closer to that 16 minute mile it's not worth it so guys just remember two across at the max so this actually leads me to the Finish Line because there's going to be finished pictures and I'm going to go back to what I was talking about at the beginning I think it's fantastic when it's a family and so forth and so when they're coming across I do think especially when you're overcoming something and it's a family affair and stuff do you guys can you guys come across again 2 3 seconds 4 seconds get across underlock underlock arms try to get a couple pictures then go back to single file I do like that idea that people are running with their families and again some people are overcoming cancer U overcoming an injury so forth and so on it is great and it's fantastic and I completely understand wanting to take a picture but you got to remember remember this that there is many people behind you and they want to do the same thing so if everybody does that then it's going to be chaos uh the best thing to do is and I do think that it's a great idea if you guys do it really quick and then get back into a single file line another one that sounds basic and it's not talked about a lot but I thought about this and I thought this was a great one do not litter when you throw stuff you can hit people so a lot of people will drink and they throw it and when they throw it on the side they can hit a cast member if somebody's running next to them they can hit them uh if if they're eating the goo and they throw the packet it can hit somebody behind them so whenever you're running be very Mindful and careful of your surroundings all the time especially if you're going to throw something better be a trash can I always go and try to dump it in there uh again don't throw it at the cast members it's not their job to get dirty for you uh so you can just go and you put it in there with that said also I'm kind of going into cast members uh there's no more volunteers so they're all going to be employees they're going to be working there they're going to be paid and stuff it does not matter do not treat them like garbage Do not sit down uh do not get mad at them do not get upset tell them off so forth and so on um thank them what I always do is thank them for being out there they get up earlier than we do and they're out there earlier than we do I have volunteered before so I know what it takes and you get up there uh you get up very very early you get out there it's a lot of fun it is and I think that they have a lot of fun but there will be some people that get upset because something that happened on the course they have no control over it if you want to suggest something please do please do so in a very orderly fashion calm fashion but do not tell them off it doesn't it's not a good look for you uh to be out there telling them off in the middle of the race if it's something really really big make sure that you uh let run Disney know after the run please do if you can take pictures send it to them that's great that's fantastic but do not do not tell off the cast members and I should have said this earlier and I'm going to go over this when I go over the event guide make sure you arrive on time if you arrive late and they close the course or you have to start in a later Corral again to piggyback on what I was talking about the cast members do not blame them that is not their fault that your lift got there late that the hotel didn't give you a good wakeup call whatever it is it's not not their fault they're just doing their job they're enforcing the rules they let everybody uh let go and do whatever they want to again it's going to lead to chaos so they have to follow the rules if you're upset at that just try to control yourself calm yourself find me and I'll try to calm you down and then just go and have a fun run now I know I've missed a few things so I'm about to go for a jog and uh maybe I can go over a few things that while we're on the course I can actually talk about and with there is a rumor that there is a runner out there who does not like to follow the rules I believe his name is pegleg Pete so we're going to go out there we're going to show a couple of other things before we come back and uh let's see if we don't run into Peg Leg Pete because I heard he breaks all the rules so I wanted to show you guys how running etiquette is live fortunately we couldn't get anybody out here there is a rumor that there's a guy named Peg Lake Pete and he does a lot of bad things but anyway so the first one is if you run in front of anybody make sure that you signal correctly don't justop oh who whoa whoa whoa well that was a close one guys but uh we avoided that so next we're going to be running and what one of the things you want to avoid is when you have somebody running in front of you one of the things you never ever ever want to do is uh run back towards the person all right so if you do that oh hey no hey what okay so now the last one is this it's called what I call diagonal running so people will start running and they run diagonally back and forth they kind of block your way they don't know what they're doing they're kind of like oh is that you know what guys I think that is pegle Pete now here goes the pro at work he looks over both of his shoulders he raises his hand counts to three and then slows down he goes over to the left allowing people to run around it yeah so what do you know we ran into Peg Leg Pete so he taught us what not to do and so don't do what Peg Leg Pete was doing just follow the guidelines have fun enjoy yourself is it going to be perfect probably not there's going to be one or two hiccups in between but it's what you make of it so when you're out there have fun make sure that you follow the rules make sure that you have proper etiquette they're going to remind you uh the DJs the the MC's they're all going to remind you about that uh be courteous to your fellow Runners to your cast members because again we're all out there together and if we're all out there for ourselves it's not going to be a good time and you're going to be making it miserable for the people around you make sure that you try to get make sure that everybody has a great time Spectators as well we love Spectators we love the cheerleaders thank you guys for being out there but basically that is the etiquette so is there anything I missed anything that I missed that you thought maybe he should have talked about please comment down below but again we are about to go into the the Disneyland Halloween run and in a couple of days I'm going to drop a video where I'm going to go over the event guide I
