IT'S BEEN NEARLY 24 HOURS SINCE THE FBI AGENTS RAIDED THE HOMES. AND ONE OF THOSE HOMES I'M STANDING IN FRONT OF IS THE FIRST DEPUTY MAYOR SHEENA, RIGHT HERE IN HAMILTON HEIGHTS. NOW, IF YOU KNOW SHEENA, SHE IS THE DEPUTY MAYOR. AND SHE ALSO LIVES WITH THE SCHOOLS CHANCELLOR, DAVID BANKS. SO THE FBI AGENTS SEIZING ELECTRONIC DEVICES FROM THE HOME. AND THAT'S NOT ALL. AGENTS ALSO RAIDED THE HOME OF DEPUTY MAYOR PHILIP BANKS, WHO IS THE BROTHER OF THE SCHOOL'S CHANCELLOR AND A THIRD BANKS BROTHER, INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT TERRANCE BANKS. THE FBI ALSO SERVED SUBPOENAS ON MAYORAL ADVISER AND EX-COP TIMOTHY PEARSON, IN ADDITION TO THE CURRENT POLICE COMMISSIONER, EDWARD CABAN, AND SIX OTHER CURRENT MEMBERS OF THE NYPD. SOURCES SAY THIS CASE APPEARS UNRELATED TO A FUND-RAISING INQUIRY INVOLVING THE MAYOR'S 2021 CAMPAIGN, AND WHETHER IT RECEIVED ILLEGAL CONTRIBUTIONS FROM A FOREIGN GOVERNMENT. MAYOR ADAMS IS REACTING. >> I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT I MUST DO IS TO SEND THE RIGHT MESSAGE TO MY TEAM AND ALL THE EMPLOYEES IN THE CITY.
