Caitlin Clark Dominates With A Triple Double In Fever's Win! | Sparks Vs. Fever Highlights

Diana terasi once said reality is coming if you never heard the full quote I got you reality is coming there's levels to this thing she told Scott vanel on Sports Center when she got asked about rookies including Caitlyn Clark jumping to the pros and that's just life we all went through it you look superhuman playing against some 18year olds but you're going to come play with some grown women that have been playing professional basketball for a long time to that I say reality of what when is the reality coming Caitlyn Clark triple double second one of the Season Victorious over the LA Sparks it's over at this point man we're here top five player in the league first team all W MVP candidate it's all happening year one year one I promised if Aaliyah Boston on Twitter I said hey I saw her having a good game I said if she goes over the 20o Mark or she hits the 20o Mark I got to hit the bow bow B BW so here we are Paw Paw Paw Paw Paw um big win for the Indiana Fever tonight um this was the type of game where there wasn't some huge blowout there was not some huge um you know narrative for the game in particular like it wasn't like this phenomenal game even this was what I think a lot of wins uh you know for good teams can be this is a businesslike win you take care of business probably about two and a half quarters through the game it felt like the fever were due for a let down they've been riding High lately uh so much you know Success With You Know clinching you know the the playoff spot you know for the first time since the Obama Administration Caitlin Clark winning various Awards player of the Week player of the month rookie of the month player of the month Christy sides coach of the month and here come the Sparks you look at their record not that great but they tend to play the fever very well as evidenced by tonight the first game of you know a six-game home stand could you you could easily be in for a let down so I'm proud of the fever for rising to the occasion as the game went on and just showing the you know separation uh you know between their level and the Sparks early in this season they probably l lose that game at home uh and they run into some you know trouble down the stretch but everybody remain calm Lexi hustle that's who I'm going to you I'm going to nickname her that Lexi hustle with a huge offensive rebound towards the end um love you know the way this team is is approaching you know this game uh you know Caitlin car with that triple double that is like you look at league history it's not too many of those walking around especially for a rookie so let's pull up the box score got it right here we're going to take a look at it so uh Aaliyah Boston 24 and 14 and 33 minutes uh this was you know the Aaliyah Boston uh game that I had kind of been asking for uh you know trying to get her and Kelsey Mitchell contributing concurrently I saw Boston really in her Zone tonight uh she she you know took it to uh the interior defense of the Sparks uh whether it was you know right around the basket she was great in the roll game and she just made a lot of great decisions four assist for her which for a big that's awesome that just shows that this ball you know it goes around and you give it up you'll get it back but as you give it up you're going to get rewarded because your teammates are going to come through for you um as I mentioned Lexi hle Lexi hustle uh only four points but you know she is someone that makes winning plays and you know you can't you know be more proud of her for that on that end uh that team you know really uh showed her a lot of love uh towards the end Nelissa Smith 13 points four assists as I mentioned she is the ex Factor when Nelissa Smith goes this team you know like they can beat anybody uh if Nelissa you know is a little weak you know it it puts you know the pressure on the big three uh to produce a little bit more but uh she is you know someone that I think is going to be very important as you know we approach playoff season Kelsey Mitchell a modest 18 points uh ending her streak uh of those 20po games but uh what a streak it was and thinking you know what what Kelsey Mitchell has uh been doing this has been such a great week for her I just recently learned um that she's been playing this season with a heavy heart as her father passed away and she's I don't I don't know if she's dedicated um the rest of the season to him but that definitely hits home with me on a personal level I lost my father about a year ago around this time actually and um knowing you know how you can tap into something extra that's you know maybe what what Kelsey Mitchell has been tapping into and um you know with 18 tonight solid team win you know she she played a role and um you know she's going to be very important down the stretch but Caitlyn Clark uh 40 minutes tonight 24 points 10 rebounds 10 assists uh the conversation is going to start heating up man um I if they are able to uh you know dominate this home stretch which you know which features games against the links U which features backto back I believe with the aces which I think those are going to be two of the most watched games this season as Asia Wilson is you know carrying her Brilliance in there uh against Caitlin Clark who's surging right now so like that is I think uh not only like a big game for this season but I think this is going to set the tone for the next couple years between these these two teams um they could potentially end up Rivals uh there's there are a lot of similarities between those squads uh just how they were built in a draft transformational generational players that uh both teams are led by I thought the Sparks competed very hard uh this game I want to jump over to them uh real quick but um Ria Jackson kind of a quiet night uh on her end de'arra kah hambi plays hard every night the commentators are just gushing about you know the way she approaches the game leadership her teammates um she had 16 s and five Odyssey Sims had a big steal which I thought was going to turn the game around uh at the end where she ripped Caitlyn Clark 20 points for her six assists uh and you know besides that they had Kean nurse Step Up Off the Bench who you know kind of had it going in the first half but at the end of the day this team is missing um their their star rookie Cameron Brink Ria Jackson as I mentioned kind of an off game double double for Zur Stevens and I just want to jump back over uh to our trending so let's take a look uh Travis D Hughes for perspective Caitlyn Clark is having a better rookie season than LeBron James had similar points per game higher field goal percentage higher threo more rebounds reg gain more assists more blocks two triple doubles Lebron has none made the playoffs Cavs did not I think that is very interesting to note uh bar stool Indie Caitlin Clark has made 1003s and 34 games fastest in WNBA history that's that's really uh impressive uh Jamal Christopher I'm not going to jump off the porch and say Caitlyn Clark is getting a this year what I'll say is good luck beating her in the series this fever back court is different yeah um Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlyn Clark who wants to face them you you you tell me the team that is raising their hand like I want to take the challenge I think you try to St as far as possible from this team they're 18 and 16 um and 17 and8 in their last 25 um I think this has been the third best team in the league ever since you know their one and8 start I believe Caitlyn Clark did an interview here did you know you were one rebound away from your second triple double of course I knew but honestly like we were just trying to get stops I thought our defense got a lot better there at the end of the game um but we need to find a way to be consistent there for fourth quart four quarters so I'm proud of our group we found a way to get it done um but somebody had to get the rebound so a was joking we always joke about stealing each other's rebounds so was funny did you know you were one rebound away from your second of course all greats know their stats they know where they're at they know where they are you know statistically what it is um I I think that um this is a really big deal uh you know triple doubles are so rare in this league and you know I think the most impressive thing about a lot of these stats uh these eye popping numbers that Kelsey Mitchell has been putting up that Kaylin Clark's been putting up you know these are 40 minute games these are not 48 minute games so um imagine if they were so they'd be even you know even more uh you know the stats would be more pronounced the Indiana Fever got the win very happy about that 93 to 86 what
