Welcome back. Camp commanders ended for fans today and now the countdown is on for the first preseason game airing right here on the USA nine. Today. Coach Quinn confirmed that Jaden Daniels will be the starting quarterback against the Jets on the Alba is live from Commanders Park and you got a chance to talk with the other rookie QB and these guys really are focused on making one another better. What you said it perfectly Larry because again, Jen Daniels is only one of the rookie quarterbacks this year and as this team is really building and starting to come together, kind of figure out what they're going to look like as we move forward into the regular season. I mean, you got to look at all the players on the field and Sam Hartman is really one of them, not only is he stand out again, uh, he is third string is what they're looking at him for, for quarterback here, but look, he is a fan favorite people just love the guy and I had a chance to catch up with him as he was leaving the field today and he really talked to me about the upcoming game, the preseason game against the Jets. And here's what he's thinking about, you know, it's all new for a lot of us rookies and um just excited for kind of any opportunity, you know, coach wants to compete in anything we do. So, you know, competing for me might be watching and learning and might be getting out there and playing. Now after the draft, Hartman was signed as a priority free agent and he's competing again to be the commander's third string quarterback. We've seen Coach Quinn praising his performance during training camp on the field. I did ask him about his relationship with Jaden Daniels and he really says the two are leaning on each other and he thinks of them as brothers. It's lonely at the top, they say, and, you know, obviously we're as a team trying to get to the top. And so, you know, you're looking at the guy who's hopefully going to lead us to that place and, you know, just being there for each other and relieving some of the pressure, you need something to go get it or this, that and the other. So it's just a constant kind of push and pull. And obviously, you know, he's got a lot of, a lot of weight on his shoulders and so just trying to help him as much as I can. So it was good to hear from him. I mean, that was his first interview with reporters since he came to the team. So we finally got some face time with Sam Hartman. Good to see where his mind is that where his focus is also. Good to see how he's relating with the other quarterbacks like Jen Daniels again, who will be starting for the preseason game against the Jets. I did want to mention to, you know, the other rookies are really stand out as well. They're really working to solidify their spot on the team as we get ready for the upcoming season. But Larry, I wanted to pivot just slightly because one of the other major highlights I'm going to tell you about coming up is Miss Melba. You are going to love her. She turned 100 years young and we spoke to her today for her 1/100 birthday and she tells you why she is a Commander Super fan. All right, send it back to you. You know, if she can do it, we can do it. But Simone to your point about the quarterbacks, the way that they're supporting each other, I think really just adds additional evidence to just how different this team is and what the season in the future will look like for us as we move ahead.
