Well as your official television station of the Washington Commanders. It is our job to bring you the latest burgundy and gold news and of course exclusive interviews with players and coaches. Yeah, the last day of training camp for the Commanders is on August 22nd. Still a ways away and there will likely will not be a lot of movement until the final roster roster cut down. But they did make a rare move yesterday. Our chick Hernandez has more from Ashburn while the players had the day off. Wednesday, the coaching staff front office did not in their challenge to create more competition. They released two players and signed two more guys know the kicker, right. We do know you're one of the kickers. Ronnie Patterson, a four year vet last with Detroit cut by Jacksonville on Tuesday, signed by Washington yesterday to give Rummy's ahmed. Some competition fans will never know what is that like when an agent or, you know, you get a phone call and go, hey, uh, Washington wants to see you. What is that like? Uh, first of all, it's a good feeling. I'm really excited to be here. This is awesome. Uh everyone here has been super great to me too although I mean, I just came in late last night. Um but yeah, I mean, a lot of guys around the league move around during training camp in the off season. It can be stressful, especially on family stuff too. So try to hang out with your family when you can. But as soon as you get back to work, you know, it's business, we're professionals out here. And uh like I said, I got one job to make kicks at the end of the day. It's, it is a position that you're able to measure, you know, the number one thing, you know, did it go through and so that's a number one top of the pile, but then you get into speeds and you know, that type. So the competition will take a while into that space. But um by and large you're looking for just consistency man, like over and over. Same kick, same way, same style where the 35 yarder and the, you know, 55 yarder, the approach is the same, the mindset is the same to go, go get it. And um that's what I'm looking for. Commanders also inked wide up Byron Pringle on Wednesday. He was on the team last year, caught 14 passes, but it wasn't on the roster till yesterday. He'll also be valuable in the kick return game with the new rules. It's a whole different ball game with this kickoff now. Yes, sir. It is. It's definitely a different, uh, different ball set. I mean, ball skill, but I'm ready. You know, it's still the same to me at the end of the day, you still got to be able to run. They're gonna get you. Pringle. Also said of Jaden Daniels, let me get the quote right. Nice touch and poise, confidence and swagger. He had it in college. I look forward to playing with him in the pros in the kicking competition.
