Sancho Wants Chelsea! | Man United News

Intro coming up on the news today then the latest on the Jaden Sancho Saga could there be a Twist in the tail there is he going to UV on a full deal is it alone with a permanent option is it alone with an obligation to buy or is he Holding Out for Chelsea we'll get into all of that also the latest on Ivan Tony another player that United have been linked with could he be holding out for Chelsea as well and a little bit of an update on the injury status of Terell massia finally seems like there could be some good news there let's get into the news hello and welcome to stford padic my name is Joe we're here outside Old Trafford and you know what it's cloudy but that side is blue skies and that side is cloud and the wind's going that way so I think we're in for a good day personally it's also the 29th of August which means one thing it is deadline day Eve which means there's going to be some big big news today and we'll start with Sancho some big news and that is coming through the night from Jan Luca deasio Italian football expert now he's one of these who sometimes you he says something it's absolute garbage and other times he's very reliable and I think typically if it's Italian teams being talked about Diario is at his most reliable and he has spoken through the night and I want to preface this by referencing last night's RMC sport article and RMC sport are a French publication that are genuinely quite reliable I think they're considered sort of tier two in terms of reliability just behind the likes of David onstein Lori Whitwell and Simon Stone now they said that Manchester United had agreed a deal with Juventus for a deal with Jaden Sancho that would be a loan with an obligation to buy that was what they said last night then there's been reports since then like I said from Jan LCA Demario that the first bid has come in from Juventus and that it is a loan with an option to buy now it's one of those ones where it to me it's not a particularly exciting loan because we still have to pay a good portion of his wages and only an option to buy that is radically different to a loan with an obligation to buy the RMC sport had been reporting unfortunately I tend to agree or tend to favor the reliability of Jan LCA dearia when it comes to Italian clubs but it's an odd one for RMC to go so big on that and then get it completely wrong because the difference between a loan with an option and a loan with an obligation one of them being accepted and agreed and the other one just being sort of put out there as a bid they they're two completely different things um and for me I don't think a loan with an option to buy is particularly exciting for United now the one thing that potentially does make it exciting is you get Jaden Sancho out of the dressing room for one and for two you get him you give him chance basically to reignite his career he could go to Juventus and get let's be genuine here let's say 11 goals eight assists this season and for that money you can probably get or for that you can probably get good money for jadden Sancho you can probably get 3540 million for him either from Juventus or another club next season it probably makes him easier to sell and he's got three years left on his deal or he has two years with an optional third year the only problem with that is if he goes to Juventus and gets four goals two assists and barely plays then you're lucky to sell him next year for 20 million I feel like he's almost in that sort of gray area now where people aren't sure whether it's Sancho's fault or ten ha's fault other clubs will be looking at him going we can still get the best out of him if he goes to uve for a full year and does Naf all we're getting na next season I personally think United need to hold out for a full deal either whether that be an obligation or an outright purchase right now now there's another story here as well that talks about jayen Sancho wanting to hold out for Chelsea and this was from the guardian last night obviously we already know Ste into United Sancho to Chelsea is being discussed with Manchester United and Chelsea at the moment those two deals maybe are independent of each other but it does feel like a you know a strange coincidence that United haven't been linked with Rahm steing all window and as soon as Sancho want Chelsea we're linked with a Winger from them who they want to get rid of I find it hard to believe that those two deals aren't linked somewhat but this was from Jacob Steinberg last night now we'll come back to his name in just a minute but he said that Jaden Sancho hasn't agreed anything with Juventus and he's actually Holding Out for his preferred move which would be to Chelsea now Jacob Steinberg if I mean you know people can make mistakes and people can get things wrong but in terms of reliability he went big on the fact that Eric tenh was going to be sacked regardless of that FA Cup result I don't know if you remember that he said before the game it doesn't matter what happens in this game ten hog will be sacked and who's the manager of Manchester United it's Eric tenh so there is form obviously for Jacob Steinberg to not necessarily always have his ducks in a row before pushing an article however he works for the guardian the guardian are usually quite reliable but to me I think he you kind of have to take that with a pinch of salt and you know is he Holding Out for a move to Chelsea what does that really mean does that mean he's refusing to go to UV or does it mean if both offers are equal then he'd prefer to go to Chelsea it's hard to know exactly what that means but the wording suggests that certainly no deal with Juventus has done despite those RMC sport reports last night so it's all a bit up in the air at the minute you got reliable journalists saying one thing other reliable journalists saying the complete opposite thing it seems as though no one really knows what's going on with this deal but it does seem like that initial report that a deal had been agreed for an obligation to buy seems wide of the mark fortunately cuz it's one that I put a lot of faith in cuz RMC sport are usually pretty good get your thoughts in on Jaden Sancho would you rather him go to Chelsea and we get Sterling would you rather he goes to juuve or a loan with an option to buy I think most of us would agree that uve loan with obligation to buy is the best case scenario here but maybe some of you want Sterling I don't think it's the worst idea in the world you know I'm coming around to the idea of Rahim Sterling which I can't believe I'm saying that but I feel like he could bring something to United we'll have to wait and see Toney Ivan ton is the next one and this is another player who supposedly prefers Chelsea he was linked with Manchester United in the evening standard and a couple of other journalists have sort of commented on it and said yeah United are going for him and this kind of makes sense but no one's really sort of put the neck on the line and said United are making a bid for Ivan Tony I don't know he wants man united I think this one might be a little bit of smoking mirrors I think this could be a little bit of game playing for Manchester United in the same way we're sort of playing Juventus and Chelsea off each other for Jayden Sancho I think this could be an extra layer of this going actually sorry uh raheim steering I know you wanted 250 Grand a week but we're going to give you 200 or we're signing Ivan Tony feel like United are a lot more political in this window we're playing the political the politics side of transfers a lot better we're putting pressure on people in different ways we're putting bids in for players that maybe we aren't quite so interested in to in order to get the deals done that we want we saw it was Scott mctominay he was linked with every Club Under the Sun we saw it with mazra he was linked with West Ham there was bids just so then they could get ju Baker off the book like it's all a bit more tricky now with United and you kind of have to look a layer or two deep whereas in the past we went can we have Harry McGuire please and they went yeah 8 million went yeah there you go like now it feels a bit more complex and to me obviously that's a good thing United needed to be a bit more sneaky and tricky in the transfer market and it feels like we're getting there the IV Tony links it's a little bit spurious if I'm honest we haven't seen a big boy journalist or a big girl journalist come out and say United want Ivan Tony and there is a genuine offer there and we've only got what somewhere in the region of 35 hours left of the transfer window it's going to have to happen soon United need to make this deal soon if it's going to happen I think for me the one that is likely is Raheem Sterling and Ivan Tony is potentially potentially a bit of a smoke screen for that uh deal a couple of Malacia other updates as well um Terrell Massi was filmed I don't know when he was filmed but it was released yesterday of him actually training he's wiggling in and out of some of those little spikes that he seees stuck in the ground on a training ground I mean In fairness he was going at a speed that I could do so I don't know what that means for his knee health or whether he's ready to return to action but the fact that he's back on grass boots on doing a little ball workor that to me is a good sign he's 25 years old he's been injured since he was 23 and that is actually a fact So the faster we can get to R massia back faster we can get Luke Shaw back as well the better seems like it's a step in the right direction for him hopefully you know is only let's say a month or so month or two away from coming back you don't know dear with with massia because there was footage of him being back on the pitch in December and then all of a sudden he's gone for you know nearly a year so we'll have to wait and see with him but hopefully things are moving in the right direction Carabao Cup and finally as well if you missed it last night Manchester United have been drawn against barnesley right here at Old Trafford in the carabal cup third round I think we can all agree it's a relatively favorable uh draw but then there's this bit of bit of controversy aren't there about the way the draw has been done this year so I don't if you saw the graphic we'll put it on the screen now and you can see there that the Europa League teams and the Champions League teams are basically not able to play each other in this round like in the Champions League when the English teams can't play each other in the group stages they've made it so that the two teams that are in Europe cannot play each other on the same in the same fixture so basically what it means is the smaller teams or the teams that are in round two have to play against a bigger team that's in Europe which basically massively favors the big teams massively favors the European teams and you know for some people like um I'm sure Bolton fans are happy that they get to get half the gate against Arsenal but for other teams who genuinely won't have a chance to win in this trophy you basically you know United and City could never play each other in this round United and Arsenal Chelsea and City could never play each other and to me that's a little bit unfair that I don't like that I don't think that we should be having seeding in the carabal cup third round this isn't the first round you know other teams have already played two rounds in this competition and United and the big other boys have been kept apart from each other I'm happy of course that United have getting Barnsley and hopefully we can get through to the next round but to me it's something a little bit fishy about keeping teams apart in what is a domestic trophy that's a little bit stupid to me and I'm not keen on that at all but United I've got Barnsley here at all Trafford in a few weeks time so make sure you stay tuned for that of course and make sure Outro you stay tuned to the channel any breaking news any transfers any updates on Rahim Sterling or any other deal that amounts and comes up in the next day and a half we will be here here for it so make sure you stay tuned to stret for Paddock hit the Subscribe button if you haven't
