Intro yes people what's going on welcome to strip for paddock we are back for the premier league match previews can you believe it jay football is back we've missed it on me bro yeah not only has it come home it's back yes yes uh and it is back and it's great that it's back but i'm a little bit worried about getting to all that why are you worried why are you starting off with negativity jay right listen i know pre-season was amazing yeah to a certain degree and i know we all love erickson and malaysia and the mightiness but i thought we'd have some bigger names now man you know what i mean come on where's the young you're a yeah you're why we get bad names here i'm telling you anyway we're here to preview manchester united against brighton we're also sponsored proudly by bet mate ten harg yeah and the changes he's made and the tactics and all these kind of things and the way that's developing but we need to back him properly we do i mean i don't want to be negative you know me i'm arguably the most positive person on this channel if we're being honest um it's not a very high balance to be frank [Music] martial but Transfer Talk i'm not going to kid myself and pretend that three months ago i was sat here going we need to get taiwan malaysia we need to get los angeles we need to get christianity soon i like all those signings the good signings but for the opening day i expected us to be a little bit stronger squad wise than we are especially when you throw in the fact that there's a disgruntled cristiano ronaldo there and we've lost a host of players several of which would have been in and around the first team were the you know were they still in the squad so it is a little bit worrying i'm with you on the 10-hour front i think he's a fantastic manager i'm looking forward to what you can do i just wish we'd have backed him a little bit more so far i mean by the time this goes out or you're watching it hopefully we'll have a big shiny midfielder called frankie young joining us but at this moment in time i feel a little bit underwhelmed yeah i'm a little bit underwhelmed with the transfers and we definitely need to do more there we're talking about ten hog what do you think he's done that's been positive for united this this summer why do you feel better about things under 10 higher than you did previously well he's bald yeah yeah massive you know massive plus point um i like the fact that you can see what we're doing going forward you know we've always had this sort of criticism of manchester united that going forward it's a bit like you relying on individual moments of brilliance or it's no tactics just vibes or whatever you know you was there for all the preseason games you can see the inner play between likes of sancho bruno your boy andy martial you can see what's going on there uh rashford of course as well so that's a positive i like the fact that he has a good mix he seems to have a good mix of being quite stern and being able to have a laugh with certain players as well and also bringing through these youngsters you know we've seen i know it's only pre-season but from what we've gathered so far is he's prepared to give youngsters a chance and they've sean i think the the big positive or one of the big positives pre-season has been the likes of charlie savage's boys in an iqbal coming into the team and i'm not just doing okay but dude yeah yeah good point so i like all those facts about him and i think that he is a great manager i'm glad we got him he's the one i wanted i just feel like you know you want to see him supported in the right way by this club yeah he definitely needs to be backed by the board um with transfers i kind of get the midfielder one now personally you'd hope we had alternatives backed up but if the manager's saying he only wants frankie dion then i kind of get it but we do need an attacker um even if ronaldo stays and if for now goals we definitely need a striker so we do need to attend to other areas as well possibly right back to are we gonna make four signings between now and the end of the window probably not no you know i mean so the board needs to back the manager properly you kind of get the feeling that we would come up short again this summer um but in terms of him like you say the football has been exciting to watch you mentioned all the attacking players and sancho marshall rashford and bruno just behind them adding erickson to that i think is really good and we've already seen the quality that he brings and i think get getting the fallbacks involved around malaysia looks exciting i was kind of thinking shaw's going to start his season number one you're right kind of thing you know what i'm going to say that bit up a lot of people wrong as well i think he's looked good um we spoke to him in pre-season he said that he wants to make that spite his own and so far he is yeah so the way he's got our fallbacks playing is more up there with the way you know when you look at liverpool you look at c you look at the way these teams play their fallbacks are a big part of it and we're kind of we're starting to do those things as well but it's very different to the way those teams play too but some of the integer change has been great to watch one of the goals we've scored have been great to see one player i want to talk about quickly is is jaden sancho because we know in the past what the likes of martial what the likes of rashford what likes of bruno are capable of at manchester united they didn't have a good season last season but we know that they have scored 20 plus goals they can do that with sancho we're still waiting to see what he can do in a red shirt i felt last season now it's not his fault because the whole team wasn't great but i feel even in preseason now we've already seen that player that was at dortmund we've seen that player running at defenders scoring goals linking up with his teammates he's a player that i'm really excited about this season because i feel like we haven't remotely seen the best of jane in sunshine yet yeah and that's even with him i'd argue he was in our top three best players last season and even then we didn't get to see the best of him i was gutted to see him out at the weekend against atletico madrid because it would have been interesting to see him added into the mix and it showed you how much in depth we lack when he isn't there marshall we don't really have anybody um but yeah sancho's looking really exciting he's building a relationship with the low some of the tricks and flicks and skills he's been pulling out he was i think he was our joint top goal scorer in pre-season um i'm yeah i'm excited to see what he does because because the manager works well with those kind of players as well he does and he seems perfect for you i like the fight with tanag as well not to go backwards but he sort of set his stall out with a lot of things like with the goalkeeper situation that he is my goalkeeper dean ellison moves on and it's like at the front three you had marshall there rashford on the left sancho on the right which i think is the the right way to do it you know i know that maybe ronaldo comes in at some point but that made sense to me where we've had this stuff in the past where you've had rashford on the right you've had a langer on the left you've had all this sort of interchange you know mixing up i don't think it's benefited united but seeing sunshine shining on that right hand side answers a big question for manchester united so yeah i'm with you i think he probably was one of our better players last season but he's still got we know there's a levels to go there because i think the problem with sancho was he never quite got going consistently i don't think i'm worried about sancho no no he's he's i'm well done he's gonna do really yeah i am too i just feel like he's that player that has yet to have a full good season for manchester united and i think this season will be that one therefore um with all that in mind then let's get Predictions into the predicted elevens we'll start with your prediction eleven this is who you think eric senhag will pick for the game against brian talk us through it from why you've gone with this team so i've gone with the herring goal um terrell malasia i think he's gone ahead of luke shaw and pecking order whether that's an offshore was earl or injured at the weekend but i think malaysia will be starting the season as our main left back or our first choice lisandro i was really impressed with him against um rail valarcano the other day um i think maguire will start as first choice and then we'll see from there how things develop it was good to see varane back playing 90 minutes i would rather see varane and martinez play but i think we'll see mcguire play okay and he'll keep the armband for the start of the season they'll go the lower right back then i've gone with fred erickson bruno i think that's our best midfield three i know everything's just in so maybe he can't play 90 minutes but i'd like to see this midfield free especially against brighton you don't need to go as defensive minded and i think fred will offer you that that support sitting eriksen will be able to go and come back bruno can also switch with him so i'd like to see that midfield free and hopefully there's no problems with martial or sancho martial took a knock sancho wasn't involved because of illness but if they're fit they play rashford marshall sancho even if ronaldo's in the squad is not starting for me that's the big talking point let's not pretend it isn't christian adolf you've gone with him not starting is that tactical fitness all of the above you feel because he wants out all that shall's form all of you fair enough tactically he's not had any time with with the manager yeah fitness wise he hasn't got the fitness he's only played 45 minutes um martial's in form he's had that preseason look cristiano ronaldo's obviously one of the greatest goal scorers ever if not the greatest but he's not fit match fit he wants to leave you look at that interaction here and tennessee at the weekend i don't think that was particularly great so yeah i wouldn't i wouldn't put right now it's weird that it because i don't like looking into things too much you know like these little clips because you can clip of anyone you can clip up me and you talk it looks like we're having a robot having a laugh you don't mean you don't get it you know i know and the feeling is well actually it's not mutual i really like it that's why it hurts when you say these things to me because i know it's true but you can't get uh garnish too much from like an eight-second clip or whatever or but it doesn't look great and you do think you know that it's going up where ghana had the ball pass it to renardo and he just kept passing it back to garner and he was like you'd imagine playing on the ten hog that ball once that goes into your feet that's then supposed to go somewhere else and the fact that he's just passing it back you're killing the game and you you're definitely not doing what the manager wants of you no so was that almost like a petulant thing like oh and also the thing that annoyed me a bit about that again you know we might be wrong but it didn't look great was not so much what the mana said also but you've got a young ish player who's not played many times manchester united at all and you just keep giving him the ball back you know what i mean like you got guard actual playing like if if there's a player that's like just not pulling his way or seemingly acting like he's above everything else or and you know what ronaldo is well within his rights to be like that he's the greatest player ever but if you're trying to build a team with young players it doesn't set a great example if the manager accepts that from anyone no it doesn't and i think this is another headache that eric has got to deal with hopefully it can get resolved we'll have to wait absolutely well so far just quickly two questions do you want ronaldo to stage you think you will i think he'll stay although i'm still 50 50. i think if there's an offer there like atletico madrid make room for him yeah you're hearing about napoli possibly wanting him if one of these teams raises the funds then i think he's gone yeah do i want him to stay i love cristiano ronaldo and i'd love nothing more than see him score goals for my united and continue to be able to watch him do that but i kind of feel like it's probably the time is right yeah to just go right clean break for 10 hog at the start of this we don't have to deal with that in january or anything yeah it does it doesn't every time you don't pick him it's going to be a oh every single second the press conference is just going to be full of it we saw it out first time unless you get us in yeah we'll just ask about zidane well every week not even joking so uh we just beat brian fournier but why didn't anybody play yeah call yourself a manager put have been five nil or seven nil hey get a good aesthetic hey eric not happy at all right let's move on then to brian because oh no way we're your team oh yeah we're not doing my team i care about your tv yeah well you know mad scenes load united players who cast and i'll go on there bring up my team it's very similar to yours to be honest with you i think the only difference i've got is i've gone with varane and i've gone with mctominay instead of eric soon those are the two differences and i'll explain i think that um mcguire is in a bit of trouble this season no i agree this season yeah i think in the first game right okay fair enough i think vram was captain against uh rayo how'd [Music] yes um so he's captain there i think when he's fully fit he starts manchester united martinez for me hasn't been brought in as a 56 million pound substitute even malaysia me you and joe were talking about it and i'm glad to see you finally woke up and realized that he's been brought in to play on that left back spot not to warm the bench eric soon listen i would love to see fred bruno and ellison because i think that's fully you know let's let's have a right laugh in that midfield but i feel you do need a bit of a water carrier in there so i've gone with mctominay over eric soon but that's what i think the manager's gonna go for if it's up to me i probably would stick bruno and everything in there because i think they're great um and in terms of ronaldo you've already addressed it i agree with everything you said i think there's a bit of an issue there but the short long of it is marshall's had a big preseason score lots of goals scoring that's two minimum weekend right okay ronaldo has played 45 minutes and even some of that was a bit our fight if we're being brutally honest so that's why i've gone with the team i've gone with get involved in the comments and let us know you're predicted 11 whether you agree with mike and myself neither of us let us know who you think will be starting from manchester united and even let us know who should be starting for manchester united as well so moving on Key Player to brian now we've got a key player for brian this is joel veltman now this is a guy joel feltman don't you know fella joel yeah you know agile um played for um he's not better than cheek sport joel i'll tell you that no come on who is though um but he played for ayax under 10 hag now we've got stats here that are powered by opsa and some of these stats show you that he's very good at interceptions he's very good at tackling i mean he can break up the play he's a player that you know if brian are gonna cope without the likes of zoomer and one or two of us then he's the man for the job um are you saying we should sign him jay i'm not i wasn't i wasn't on a basuma boss to be honest with y'all you know what everyone was saying we should get used to suma i didn't feel i wouldn't mind that he wouldn't really i think ten hog doesn't really play one six though does he no you guys play like kind of two in there or sometimes he plays one and two eights but yeah he likes to have an all-rounder rather than just uh yeah that's what i mean i don't i don't think i didn't feel that pursuer was um was the place good recruitment there though all the time they they churn out these they do don't know they get some good players and they they move them on and still recover who's the lad they sold to um newcastle's it dunk not dunk what's his name burn dan burn he moved on decent defender didn't suffer from that they've moved on basuma expects him to recover from that um who's that there's a lot of link with chelsea corella um but i think they're a type of club and green party they play nice football they move these players on and he seems to do okay without it took a bit of a punt didn't when he got rid
