calories enjoy [Music] everything the kickers got the ball set up and we're ready to get this thing started he kicks it off and he got all of that one he's to the 20 he's taken down at the 26 yd line Clemson's offensive staff they really build things around this guy and they know that they can be confident in what he can do all game long yeah I think they they trust in all of his abilities and the big thing also is he avoids those M silly mental mistakes he he does not line up in the wrong position he's not going to turn the wrong way more importantly he's not going to miss out on a blitz on pass protection so he's he's really just a total package very consistent very reliable running back that this team utilizes this is a great pitch and catch combination and they hook up here for a big time [Applause] game so now it's first and go goal after the big pass [Applause] play touchdown [Applause] Clemson boy he looked determined running the football nobody was going to keep him out of the end zone [Applause] and he TS on the extra point a quick two-play 75 yd drive and a touchdown a result well Brad right now this offense is hot and they also took advantage of some mistakes there by the defense Clemson the kick he really got a hold of that [Applause] kick he makes it to the 15 yd line you got to know where you are on the field there was no reason to run that one out just catch it and take a knee it's the only way to guarantee that your offense will start on the 20 so let's see what the offense can do as they come out onto the field fires incom complete knocked away looked like both sides tried to get away with some shoving while the ball was in the air here's the call looked like the receiver got a little bit too aggressive there the defender held his ground they threw the flag so it's first down and an eternity here he goes nice gain as he works the right [Applause] side 11 down little handoff he's pushed out of bounds right around the 18 yd line from their own 18 yd line third down fires it quickly intercepted Out of Bounds at about the 41 really nice cover skill shown here this time that's exactly what you want to see from your young [Applause] Corners Clemson is up by a [Applause] touchdown nice run there six yds there on the option keeper that make they're about four yds away here on second [Music] [Applause] down he's into the open field makes it to the 27 they go with the option and pick up the first down yeah and that was a situation where the quarterback knew he could pick up the first down if he kept it himself that's a good decision [Applause] he's under some heat he fires this one quick strike to the receiver [Applause] touchdown and he converts the extra point so a short three playay 41 yd drive and they get it in for seven the score now 14 nothing Swanson has the ball set and he looks ready to kick this one deep he just drills this one and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback the Tigers really took care of business on defense that first time out kby one of the great traditions in college football is is this defense and the way they play with such passion and enthusiasm in this environment we're seeing that again today they need to show a little gidy up now because if they don't start eating into this deficit they could easily fall out of the game tackle made around the 41 yd line the reason why it's so crucial to be able to run effectively like this is it keeps the defense guessing they have no idea whether you're passing or running even if you need me medium to long range yards from their own 41 yd line first down he's on the run and he's tackled at the 48 you talk about a dual threat guy this guy can hurt you in the air or on the ground he's at the 40 that's a great tackle at the 37 yd line and that's their third first down of the drive the defense needs to figure out a way to stop them or else they're going to have no problem putting points on the board first and 10 ball on the 37 they bring him down in the back field there was a little bit of Running Room but once the defense had sized up the play it closed in a hurry straight run and he's brought down in the back field the defense just met the blocker head on and drove them back straight into the runner third down and they need to get it to the 27 he's under pressure and they got him this quarterback has to do a better job of avoiding the rush cuz sacks can be real Drive killers after the sack it's now fourth and long brown is back deep to return he gets it away and this is a really nice punt this punt bounces into the end zone and this will be a Touchback the tigers are looking like they're Unstoppable right now they've just exploded in this game I don't know if the defense can adjust or not well they have big play ability all over the field and this defense has got to make some adjustments to do a better job of trying to slow them down I would recommend trying to put some more pressure on this quarterback by loading the line of scrimmage and he's tackled right away so it's second down and about two yards to [Applause] go complete he's got room knocked out of Bounds at the 35 yd line [Music] [Music] makes it out to about the 46 first down 10 to go ball on the 46 yd line on the ground with the tailb tackled for a loss Los of that brings up second and [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 13 and they make the stop at about the 45 that BR up third down and they need to get it inside the [Music] [Applause] 44 he's taken down at the 29 yd line this guy is so versatile you can use him at the line as an extra blocker or send him down field like another wide receiver either way he's a great resource on every down from the 29 yd line first [Music] [Applause] down and this play is number eight on the drive [Applause] he's tackled at the 21 yd line he reels off 10 yds and the counter and once again they'll come to the line try to convert on third [Music] down caught open field tackle around the 11 yd line here's play number 10 on the [Music] drive he's out of Bounds at about the three yd line Second down and they're going to need about three yards to pick up the first down oh yeah I'm coming yeah I'm coming they'll bring him down right around the 2yd line call it a gain of one yard third down here's the 12th play of the drive two two they'll spread the field with five [Applause] wide throws and it's incomplete and it's the offense that takes the field on fourth [Applause] down touchdown [Applause] Tigers I think the option down by the goal line is a great call it puts so much pressure on the defense and allows the quarter back to have the decision to run it or pitch it and this time it worked to Perfection he makes the pat it was a 13 play 80 yd drive and they put up seven points Brad I thought the offense did a really nice job of mixing up the play calling on that drive I thought the defense was on its heels most of the drive because of the versatility of the offense so the score now 21 nothing Clon lines up for the kickoff and he got all of this one great kick he's to the 20 tackle at the [Applause] 29 Clemson's got a great defensive game plan and it's working right now well even from up here Brad you can see their defensive speed and they're just playing with kind of an aggressive attitude they're going to have to maintain that to slow down this offense their last Drive resulted in a punt so let's see if they can put together something a little more promising here they've been beaten soundly on both sides of the ball and we haven't even gotten to the second quarter just throws this one away even though they didn't sack him the pressure was still enough to force a bad pass if you can get in there and disrupt the pocket then the quarterback is going to have a tougher time getting the ball to his Playmakers scrambling around and he can't get away from the pressure [Applause] so that sack leaves them a little ways to go here it's third down and 13 fires it out and now he's got room to run good tackle he was the last line of defense that just shows you what an asset he is in this offense when he's not doing damage as a runner he's making the defense suffer in the passing game from the 44 yd line it's first down he's scrambling and he's going to be sacked for a loss man these guys can be aggressive when you stand back there and take hits like that you're definitely are going to feel it the next [Applause] day second and 12 coming up here ball on the 46 yd line caught and he's hit immediately [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] he goes out of Bounds at the 36 yd line so it's fourth down and the offense is still on the field they're crowding the line runs outside for a nice gain y first down here's the eighth play of the [Applause] series throws out got his back again and he's taken down around the 25 yd line on the that'll make it second and four so it's second down now and they need about four yards to pick up the first now he's scrambling nice play to set up first and [Applause] goal that makes it first andal and this is the T play of the [Applause] drive we reached the end of the first quarter and so far it's been pretty one-sided 21 to nothing Tigers welcome back here we resume action now here in the second quarter he gets sacked on the [Applause] play here's the 11th play of the drive down 4 down Oklahoma Oklahoma he fights forward to about the 10 it's third down and they come up to the line about nine yds away from the end zone he's in trouble and he's going to come up with a [Applause] sack kicks up and the field goal is good everyone's all lined up and ready for the kickoff he kicks it off and he got all of that one this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback you know I've been so caught up in these offensive players the quarterback and the receivers and what's happening on the field I got to step back for a second to remind all of us with the job the offensive coordinator has done preparing his team and calling the right plays to give them such a chance to play well it was a pretty one-sided first quarter but I wouldn't be surprised if things changed in a big way before [Applause] halftime looking for the corner here's a running play and down he goes right around the 34 it's second down now and they're just a few feet away from that first down [Applause] [Music] [Applause] marker pitch and he's got the corner he's at Midfield brought down at the 33 yd [Applause] [Music] [Applause] line first and 10 following that big run [Music] fires out to his receiver he's hit and taken [Music] [Applause] [Music] down and they'll bring him down behind the line and the tail back goes nowhere on the option it's third down and this offense is about three feet away from that first down marker [Music] two makes the catch and look out tackle made around the 10 yd line [Music] [Music] gets to about the8 yd line the running back gets two on the carry this safety did just a great job of reacting to the run and getting in there to make the tackle second and eight coming up here ball on the eight run left side touchdown Clemson [Applause] great call by the offensive coordinator Big Time play taking that ball all the way in maybe the defense wasn't expecting a [Applause] run and he adds the extra [Applause] point Clemson kick this one off [Applause] he'll take it from the two at the 30 brought down by the kicker for Clemson they're really getting after the quarterback tonight this defense has been bringing the Blitz and is having success getting to him they also have that one takeaway this offense hasn't had any trouble moving the ball on the ground no they haven't so maybe they should just focus a bit more on the running game to mix it up and keep the defense guessing this hasn't been the most cating game between these two familiar opponents but even so they'll still go full force it's clear which team decided to show up in the first quarter that may change now but it also might be too late to dig out of this big hole fires out quickly to the tail back and he's tackled at the 48 yd line 11 first from their own 48 yd line first [Applause] down and he throws right away and he's hit immediately [Applause] so let's see how the defense responds now it's first down and [Applause] 10 got a man open bad [Applause] pass 47 47 4 looks to him again complete and he's immediately [Applause] [Music] tackled it first and it's first down and they'll be looking for six points here let's see if they try to pound it in here both teams have their goal line sets on the field and they make the stop at the two y that brings it second and goal 47 47 set BL 14 BL 14 touchdown South [Music] Carolina this kid is a really reliable weapon you definitely want the football in his hands near the end zone and he showed you why right there and he hits the pat [Music] and it looks like they're ready for the [Music] kickoff he's to the 20 he makes it out to maybe the 23 yd [Applause] line pretty good looking touchdown Drive the last time these guys were out there [Music] we go makes it out to about the 33 it's second down and they're about the length of the football from the first down [Applause] marker playaction throws it deep got a man watch out here he's taken down at the [Applause] 17 it's first down and 10 now after picking up some great yardage through the air [Applause] nice run there the tail back picks up six there on the [Applause] misdirection quick throw almost intercepted well you want to do everything you can to keep the ball out of the hands of these receivers so that was a really good effort they need about three yard yards to get the first down here on third [Applause] down big play there and now they're looking at first and [Applause] [Music] [Applause] goal touchdown tigers [Applause] and he TS on the extra point [Applause] Swanson get set to kick this one away nice kick plenty of distance and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback Brad this is my kind of game I love seeing this kind of production in the way these quarterbacks are playing both teams are challenging both of these defenses the offense ready for the first play of this drive they move the ball extremely well on their last possession on their way to the end zone this quarterback right now is in a rhythm and a lot of that has to do with his preparation you can see right now with the reads that he's being able to make getting the football out of his hands that he's feeling very very confident his ability to throw the football against this defense first down 10 yds to go ball on the 39 he's going to try and scramble he's at Midfield inside the 30 to the 20 and they finally knock him out at the [Applause] 16 first down and 10 to go after the big gain on the Run set Oklahoma fires out to his wide out they'll bring him down around the8 yd line not a bad little play there yeah it's a nice job by the quarterback reading the coverage and delivering a very catchable ball and allowing his receiver to come up with a nice gain blue blue he throws right it's third down and they're about two yds shy of the [Music] [Applause] [Music] sticks Quick Pass man open and he dropped it watch out for a pass play when you're in a goal on D tackle at the 5 yd [Applause] line first down and they'll bring it up first and goal inside the five he's tackled around the three yd [Music] line and this is the eighth play of the drive defense and their short yardage pass packing and he's taken down around the one yd [Applause] line third and goal ball on the one touchdown [Applause] [Music] Gamecock no need to pitch it as the quarterback's able to run it in I'll tell you what when you're a quarterback and the goal line is right there it's pretty hard to pitch the ball when you think you can get in that's a smart decision to keep it for the score and he converts the extra [Music] point the kicker looks like he's ready to kick this one off and he got all of this one great kick this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback the Tigers obviously have built their offense around this guy and through two quarters everything's working Herby but you know you can't just rely on one guy and he's got to be careful a little bit in the third and fourth quarter too well you want to keep pushing I mean he's off to a great start his offense is obviously off to a great start it's a four quarter game and you know the opponent's going to try to get back into this game take some chances so if this running back is smart he'll continue to challenge himself his offensive line and the entire offense continue to try to put more points up on the board first [Music] down from their own 48 yd line it's first [Applause] down they'll drop him for a loss they lose three yards there not much going on there those kind of plays will not work against this defense you can be sure of that they'll line up with five wide [Applause] receivers he wants it all and it's caught he's all the way home [Applause] touchdown he takes the pat it was a quick three playay 75 yd drive and it results in a touchdown you know you always prepare your offense to think that we're going to have some success these guys got to be coming over the sidelines after touchdown after touchdown say man I I didn't expect it to be this season he sends this one deep Swanson is lined up to kick this one off he's to the 20 and down he goes at the 25 [Music] things are on the verge of getting out of hand before we even hit the half these next few drives are going to go a long way in determining what kind of game this will end up being easy he gets out to about the 25 yd line it's a good job by the defense to remain aggressive and minimize the yardage on that run second down 10 yds to go ball on their own [Music] 25 and he just gets rid of it dumps it complete to the halfback over the middle and down he goes at the 28 yd line about three yds that time on the screen this was just a little dump off pass to the halfback but it was very well defended keeping them from moving the ball very far down field oh excellent punt he makes it out to maybe the 39 yd line the tigers are just cruising through this first half Herby really a comfortable lead here yep but still a lot lot of football left to be played they got to remember it's a four quarter game and even though that first half went pretty well things can change in a hurry I was really impressed with their last series they came out with a focus on the passing game and the offense got the job done we'll see if they have the same strategy here and he tackles him hard at the [Applause] 32 Clemson looking to put this game away if they score here pressure coming going long oh he had a shot at the pick yeah the quarterback's breathing a huge sign of relief because he got away with throwing what should have been an interception from their own 32 yd line third down five [Music] wide he throws it Moore was the intended receiver on the play so the stop there on Third and long and that's going to bring up a pting situation great hold by the defense they were expecting the pass play and they defended it very well and he makes it out to about the 37 yd line it's still only the second quarter we've got a lot of football left but I got to say this one is teetering on the brink of a [Applause] blowout and they get the sack South Carolina is going to have to use their second time out of the half so the sack makes this a second and long gets it out to his receiver in a hurry brought down at the 44 yd line y now he's scrambling he gets sacked on the play we've still got a half of football remaining Clemson's running away with [Music] it we've played 30 minutes glad to have you with us on the EA Sports NCAA Football 14 halftime show presented by Nissan inov that excites David Pollock and I here in the studio to break down everything that just happened in your game South Carolina's first half was an abject disaster at least in terms of the scoreboard but perhaps there's a method to The Madness of playing this game I think this coach wanted to put his team in this situation so at least they would know what good looks like because it's not on their sideline no absolutely this is awful you don't you're not buying that no this is this is is absolutely terrible I mean it this is disrespectful I mean this is this is atrocious give me some other verbs to throw in there cuz there's there's nothing hideous heinous ugly I mean it was it was awful there's nothing to like about it you have you have zero chance you have zero shot I mean there's nothing you can do maybe you just look at the other side and you go oh that's what a good team looks like yeah we're far off from that looking forward to seeing this second half I think there's certainly a want for victory a want and a need for victory some teams need this Victory ree Davis want need got to go get it either way Brad and Kirk are there to deliver really a lopsided ball game as we're just about set to start the second half he kicks it off and he got all of that one and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback I hope they show some fight here and try to stay competitive if you're going to get blown out you at least want to go down [Applause] about the 43 yd line [Applause] [Music] pitches left and is met immediately the defense holds and the ball will change hands how they went with a toss play here but no one on that defensive side of the ball was fooled you got to give them credit for making a great play and here we go with the offense ready to get things going again Clemson looking to add to this big lead here he fights forward [Music] F Under Pressure he launches one for the End Zone it's going the other way you know you might look at this and wonder if this is just a meaningless interception but if you're the offensive coordinator and especially the quarterback I don't care how big the lead is you never want to throw the football to your opponent that's a mistake by the quarterback and they'll hear about it from his quarterback coach and his offensive coordinator from Their Own 20yd Line first down got it complete he's out of [Applause] bounds it first [Applause] complete brought down nothing [Applause] [Music] doing from their own 40 yd line it's second [Music] down he throws it in and out of his hands numbert on the that makes it 3 throws it deep almost intercepted Brown was the intended target on the play so that'll make it fourth down the offense really had nowhere to go on that one the play was very well defended and now the incompletion will Force the fourth down in a punt he really got a hold of that one he's got the corner Brown takes it the 15 tackle made at the 22 yd line and for Williams his receiving stats really stand out tonight well not only is he having a great game but he's also just seems to be having fun out there I think the entire offense for that matter the entire team seems to be responding to his infectious attitude I'm looking at the stat sheet going only five catches it speaks to his great route running and is after the catch abilities most fans expected this type of game from these guys and they haven't disappointed still plenty of football left and you know they're not done and the offense will take the field and they're certainly hoping to do better than they did in their last Drive which ended with a turnover so much in football is about how you respond to adversity moving forward after a turnover is a perfect example of that it's second down in there about two yds away from the sticks Clemson looking to to build on this commanding lead here on the ground and he won't get back to the line that's a Los of two y on the play [Applause] and he's leveled at the 33 from their own 33 yd line it's first down throws it to the outside makes the catch and gets out of [Applause] bounds first so they're going to try to determine if the receiver had possession and was inbounds or not they call it a catch but the booth signal down to the referee that they'd like to take another peek at this man as I see this play again it really looks like he made the correct call on the field after review the play the ruling on the field stands the ruling on the field will stand he caught it the only thing left to say about this play is that was an excellent catch it's first and 10 ball on their own [Applause] 46 tackle around the 47 yd line he's tackled right around the 4 44 yd [Applause] line from the 44 yd line first down Clemson is winning big nice run and he's brought down here's the eighth play of the series oh yeah [Applause] Andy carries the ball for a nice game first and 10 ball on the 33 yd [Music] line and he's taken down at the 36 yd line [Applause] and this is the 10th play of the [Applause] drive they'll keep it on the ground again he makes his way to about the [Applause] 28 and once again they'll come to the line try to convert on third down [Applause] down got him again a huge play and now they're in a great position to score we're at the 12th play of the drive Clemson with a big [Applause] advantage that's a great tackle at the three yd line from the three yd line it's second down defense and their short yardage [Music] packing they bring him down in the back field the quarterback decided to pitch it on the option but the back had nowhere to go just a perfect defensive scheme for stopping that they got to the option before it got to them here's play number 14 of this drive [Applause] [Music] quick throw incomplete bled his receiver fourth down they're going to go for the easy three here this is to add to an already impressive lead kicks up and it's through the [Applause] uprights and it looks like they're ready for the kickoff he really got a hold of that kick this one's going to be down in the end zone for a Touchback the Gamecocks are just falling apart in this quarter I mean are there any positives you can even use to motivate the team right now well as bad as it looks and feels right now they're still over a quarter of football to be played you just got to forget about the mistakes try to get a little bit of momentum created and get confidence back in this quarterback being able to make plays for it gets to about the 27 yd line from their own 27 yd line Second down quick out to his receiver and down he goes at the 37 the tack the 37 yd line first down [Applause] Quick Pass brought down at the 39 [Applause] [Applause] from their own 39 yd line Second down he goes out of Bounds at the 43 yd [Applause] line here's the pass broken up 1 Brown back deep to return he gets it away and this is a really nice punt he's taken down at the [Music] 13 and what a game it's been for this quarterback Kirk well I think the great thing that he's been able to do is spread the football around it's not just been one receiver and when you can find more receivers it makes it much easier to move the ball down the field and to be sticking it to a rival is even more special last Drive resulted in a field goal and the offense will come back out looking to do one better Clemson up by a big [Applause] margin they'll knock him down for a loss he had nowhere to go on that option play boy you're right he's lucky held on to the football there from their own 10 yd line Second [Applause] down runs outside for a nice game [Applause] [Music] quick strike to the back no good that's three down and one to go the tigers with a huge lead [Music] not sure there's any hope for a comeback here in the fourth quarter but Kirk and I are preing Swanson to punt it's away and it's a booming [Applause] punt he makes it out to maybe the 49 yd line early in the fourth quarter here and obviously we've got a blowout one team trying to play for pride and the other one just trying to get out of here he's on the Run slides down to the [Music] ground they need about three yards to get the first here on second down fires across the middle tackle made at the 26 seven yd line 2 [Applause] yd makes a catch and he's got nowhere to [Applause] go makes it second and it's second down eight to go ball on the 25 yd line BL 14 BL 14 he's scrambling he's wrapped up for the sack I mean this is almost getting ridiculous that is sack number eight this guy's going to have to spend a half an hour in the ice tub after this game it's just been shot after shot all day long where's the offensive line third down now and they need to get it to the 17 moves up and the defense has got him [Applause] kicks away they head to the sideline with nothing to show for that drive so the score is still Clemson 45 South Carolina [Applause] 17 both teams are playing out the stretch here you want to get experience for guys who normally don't get in the game and try to avoid injuries Clemson with a commanding lead he has some room he gets out to about the 38 yd line the back hits three on the [Music] carry from their own 38 yd line it's second down [Applause] [Music] just throws this one away great job by the defense at getting after that quarterback and right now I think they've got him with some Happy Feet he appears to be a bit rattled in the shotgun and five wide outs Rose had a man wide open and he missed him make fourth and six Swanson awaits the snap tackle at the 26 yd line I don't expect any once in a-lifetime rallies here but that being said we could still see some exciting plays steps Out of Bounds this one off and it's a beauty and he mued it well that's exactly what happens when you take your eyes off the ball concentration for Return Man is of the utmost importance both teams are playing out the stretch here you want to get experience for guys who normally don't get in the game and try to avoid injuries Clemson comes to the line they got a big advantage in this one and a nice catch there before he stepped out of bounds that's great execution quarterback made a nice throw and the receiver was able to go up and make the play first and 10 ball in the [Applause] 33 fires out to his receiver they'll bring him down at the 31 yd line [Music] [Applause] now it's first and 10 with the defense trying to regroup after giving up the big [Applause] [Music] [Applause] pass play action has time room around the corner he's pushed Out of Bounds at about the 23 yd line [Applause] [Music] and he's tackled right around the 22 yd [Applause] line that'll make it third it's third down and this offense is about three feet away from that first down [Applause] marker again he'll get the call that's another first down Brad and right now you can just really feel and sense the Rhythm that this offense is in their ability to pick up first downs just pushing this defense further and further down back deep into their own [Applause] territory and they make the stop at the 11 so it's second down and about two yards to go Clemson comes to the line holding that commanding lead he's taken down at the 15 where in the world was he going on that run well that's a good question I thought for a while he got his directions messed up and this is the eighth play of the drive [Applause] let's go he throws and this one Falls incomplete it's Fourth Down they'll line it up for the field goal this will just add insult to injury it's up and the field goal is good [Applause] the kicker looks like he's ready to kick this one off he kicks it off and he got all of that [Applause] one and it goes into the scoring Drive the last time out for this offense and they'll huddle up for this drive they just seem like they've been in the end zone time and time again there's not much negative you can say about this performance and he's tackled after positive yardage second down and they're going to need about three yards to pick up the first down we have less than a minute to go [Applause] gets to about the
