Atlanta Falcons Fan Reaction to Falcons 1st depth chart release vs Dolphins

always well we're getting closer to the first preseason game and the depth chart has been released for the Atlanta Falcons and I'm going take a quick scan of it and give y my thoughts on it uh it's the very first depth chart and this nothing uh really to Gras tight because it's probably going to change each and every preseason game which is three games uh and the regular season will be here in exactly one month so um we got time to work this thing out man and get this right team on the field uh add the right depth and the nice and nice pieces to this defense and offense but without further Ado man let's get this thing rolling uh let's get to this Offense depth chart right quick man because uh I know y'all waiting on it but uh let's look at the offense first and wide receiver one as we like to call it you have Drake London who was no surprise Chris BL players behind him Austin Mack and James Washington uh former veteran for the Pittsburgh Steels Steelers Saints and Cowboys uh rounds out uh the wide receiver one backups uh let's look at tight end position and if you notice on this depth chart there two tight ends and there could be two tight end sets and there could also be a lot of three wide receiver sets so KY pitch John Fitzpatrick who's a blocking tight end and Jordan Thomas left tackle is Jake Matthews well let's get like this offensive line is exactly the same uh from left to right Jake Matthews Matthew Bergeron who had a great Rickie year last year Drew Dalman man he pushed Matt Hennessy out the door and um he was one of the best rated centers last year so he has Ron newel as a backup who's a veteran also who played well in backup role last year actually started a game or two uh Chris lyston the All Pro to meet the best offensive lineman in the league Kyle Hinton John lagu uh if y'all remember um Mike Vel son he retired uh last week so he's no longer with the team Caleb McGary storm Norton who could battle for that right tackle position Andrew stuber who's a veteran that who they signed this all season and Zach Bailey got his signed a couple of weeks ago so the offensive line is solid man Barry Wesley Julian Davenport who they just signed Jared Jones Smith who was an XFL star a UFL I'm sorry it's UFL now but he was a stud in the UFL so they have a lot of solid backup Jordan Gwyn who was going to play center uh they move him to guard behind burun as his backup so the offensive line pretty much looks the same except for the signings the veteran signings and if you notice they're putting a lot of veterans on this team which is a good thing man because a good mix of um veterans and young guys uh the WRs young guys can learn from the vets and uh I think it makes the team stronger at the other wide receiver position is Darnell Mooney who they sign to a pretty nice deal uh Speedster who's it going to be probably be the number two rondale Moore who's SL slipping and sliding up and down the jum chart as I've been looking at it for the last week he's now the backup to Dell Mooney Casey Washington a rookie six round pick out of Illinois um who I think has a great chance of making this team and if y'all caught me on one time for the fan uh I mentioned Rond Del Moore even before I seen any kind of depth chart uh even before I heard the rumors of about him um struggling in the camp it's just he's 57 about 180 he's a special teams guy to me um but you Kurt cousin could make him better uh than what being perceived to him because we all know what uh Taylor Gabriel did Falcons in 2016 Ronda Mor had that same type of effect he's a four three guy so he's pretty fast uh he's a run out to the catch guy which you probably have to use him but if he gets behind the defense he could be a deep thre as well so Rond Del MO is one of those guys you just have to watch can he climb back up the depth chart we'll see but uh Josh Ali who's been here the last two seasons OJ hair Ray McLoud who's um who put on the show at the beans uh in the open practice man I think Ray McLoud coming over from the 49ers uh could be a sneaky good signing and I think he could push somebody out doing that one person could be cader hardge who's a special teams uh Captain as well who play special team very well we've seen him play some quarterback on trick play don't know what the H arur Smith did that he did uh Dylan Drummond Jesse Matthews uh are the Roundup for the wide receiver so the wide receiver position is one to watch and there's a lot of depth and I think they're going to keep about six receivers or five and maybe keep one or two on the practice squad which I think Josh ali uh could be another candidate for but uh let's get to the running backs the interesting part man this is where uh the rubber meets the road we know about bejon we know about Tyler and they've been splitting reps uh which is a good thing because both of these guys thunder and lightning whatever you want to call it uh Fred and bney Flintstone whatever you want to call them uh they're this top two running backs no surprise there it gets tricky after that because Avery Williams who's coming back from an ACL injury uh is one of the key special Team guys and one of the new things they're trying out in the NFL is a new kickoff rle it could help guys like Avery Williams who one of the best re return men a couple of years ago uh in the NFL so now he comes back out the ACL injury can they make space for him as a special teams player that's yet to be seen But Jason mlen who came from Alabama who looked pretty good at the open practice as well uh he runs with a good little bit of power for his size then you have Carlos Washington Jr who was shaking guys out of their draws the open practice so that third running back position is going to be key for the Falcons because uh Charlie and bejun could get tired with no injuries kick in so that third running back position is going to be key and sometime the that third running back can come in as a third down back uh and make a difference so um that running back position is going to be key for the Falcons uh going forward quarterback position no surprise here uh Kurt cousin is starter man $180 million all need to be said uh he's not going to play in the preseason as Rahe Morris has stated and I don't blame him because those ailles can pop at any moment like a number two pence Michael pen is at the backup so he maybe see a majority of the snaps uh in preseason Taylor hanii uh he could play a lot of second half uh football and then Nathan Ro is going to battle Taylor Hani for that third quarterback position I think the F going to going to keep two quarterbacks because uh they did it last year with atin Smith but like I said different coach different philosophy they could keep three quarterbacks who knows could Nathan Ro beat out Taylor Hani could uh Taylor Hani be traded by the falc it's very possible uh because naate the rock he's he has the ability CFL a quarterback who played in 10 games a couple of years ago uh 3,300 yards 25 touchdowns so and I know the game in the NFL and CFL little different but at the same time you got to think about it football is football so at any level no matter if you putting up stats in one league and then another League you may not put up strong stats football is football if he can read defenses if he can uh make timely throws he can adjust so uh Nathan Ro could he beat out t h possibly and they may be find trying to find a cheaper option at that third quarterback because I think trading or cut and hin could say them about uh1 and a half $2 million don't sound like much but when you trying to put money back on the books every dime count Defense let's get to the defense man let's get to the defense no surprise here gr Jared at one defensive line defensive end or whatever you want to call it uh David onada Zack Harrison or your three starters in this three four defense uh kavi Street who played very well who I think will beat out taquan Graham and make this squad ruk the second round pick athletic super freak at defensive tackle and him learning behind David onada and great Jerry is only going to make him better um Brandon Doris who they drafted out of Oregon who I think could be a key contributor Eddie Goldman uh has been here for a couple of Seasons he's retired each of those Seasons but he's been playing like the Eddie Goen to O 63335 pound man a guy that can eat up space and he's goingon to help onion M Jerry and Zack Harrison uh get to the quarterback depending on how much time uh they give him how many snaps they give him uh Zion log from Georgia man he's another guy that's amongst the 6 fo5 uh 300 pounds uh very uh strong lower body uh he needs to work on his technique as far as hand usage uh but a guy his size man they worked him out for a while uh before the draft and I saw it on the news actually uh but I knew he was a Target but they got him in the seventh round and we'll see what he learns Behind These veterans which could be key as well uh Prince and milley uh Tommy togai and LEL London who played for the Falcons last year uh played pretty good as a backup very solid as a backup uh he could be on roster bubble but we'll see how it plays out let's get to the me the potatoes the linebackers the two outside linebackers are Lorenzo Carter who I think is on the bubble um he's a very good run stopper but when it comes to get out to the quarterback uh he gets shut down a little bit too much for my liking uh but if they kept him I would not be surprised because he's a locker room pres that they need uh you look at the other outside linebacker position those surprises AR the E gets the other starting spot um Troy Anderson and Kayon Kayton Ellis are inside linebackers but you can see Nate lamman f in the middle linebacker uh and Kayton Ellis move to the outside especially like I said this is while Lorenzo Carter is on the bubble because you could see Kayton Ellis playing more outside this year they signed James Smith William former Washington Commander outside linebacker Bradley and they one of my favorite draft picks from a couple of years ago and D'Angelo Malone who hadn't really got the shot uh to play outside and couple those games like the games we lost against the Vikings and the Cardinals D'Angelo Malone would have been key because he's the faster uh of the outside linebackers I think he runs a four 44 if I'm not mistaken pretty fast uh but behind Arnold e there's more uh competition in Bron T the guy we got out of Washington who Jim Jimmy Lakes Protege knows the uh defense already so uh I could see him possibly starting Lorenzo Carter spot as well Deone Harris who the Falcons had last year mainly on the practice court he did make the 60 the 53 man roster playing a couple of games last year um so and the LA last guy I can't pronounce his name so I'm not going to even try y'all see it on the screen maybe y'all know it if y'all know it uh break it down in the comment box let's get to the quarterbacks man some more interesting um interesting circumstances at the quarterback the cornerback position AJ Terrell no surprise uh Nickelback D offord not really a surprise Mike Hughes um it's going to be the starter uh right now uh and is not a surprise to me to so much as to far as who is the assistant head coach and Jerry gray who coached Hughes when he was drafted in the first round so it's not a surprise he knows the system as well and he's a veteran and like I said they're trying to miss get the perfect mix of Youth and Veterans on this team and look like they're doing a good job of it and behind AJ Terr is Kevin King uh who's been out of the league I think four years is trying to make a comeback and uh he actually tried it last year but to his a killes uh so he could not play last year but he's going to give it another run Anthony Johnson I did a video on him former PKA cornerback y'all can go check that out nron Brooks um let's look at uh Mike Hughes Clark Phillips I third who I think uh could take over that star position by the time the season starts or uh somewhere through the season uh he could take over he missed the first five games last year uh but still played well once he hit the field Harrison Han the veteran and uh trayal um who has an outside shot of making the team uh let's look at Nickelback D offord um shout out to him big supporter of the sports machine um he's going to take over the Nickelback spot and Antonio Hamilton who's played very well for the Arizona cers the last two years uh is going to uh back him up at the nickel position and Jaden price a name I keep hearing a lot in training camp who's doing very well a former North Dakota bison um he's playing very well uh so far in Camp he could be a sleeper to make this roster or if he doesn't make the roster I think he'll definitely be on the practice sad but if somebody gets that kid they may be getting a steal so that's your defense man that's your defense uh finally the Special Teams Special Teams we know the kick of young Wu Bradley pinion line specialist leam McCulla um the holder is Bradley pinion as well punt returner Ray McLoud who's a special team stud Mike Hugh we see him return kicks the last couple of years uh kick returner Avery Williams is there right now and Rond Del Moore and with the new kickoff rules these two smaller guys could be very dangerous with the new kickoff rues but like I said Ronda Mo could be on the bubble or if he makes the team it'll definitely be as a special teamer but Ray r m cloud is another guy I think will make the roster and him if he makes the roster as and get snaps as a receiver this could say Rond Del Moore but Rond Del Moore is a gadget guy Ray M Ray Ray McLoud is a gadget guy so uh both of those guys man in this offense um they could be sleepers or it's boom a bust but that is your dep chart for the Atlanta Falcons man and what a dep chart it is man like I said we have a long way to go before week one have another month before week one so we are nowhere near nowhere near completing this uh depth chart but y'all tell me what y'all think man what do y'all think about
