Atlanta Falcons Fan REACTION to initial 53-Man Roster + Ex-Falcon Desmond Ridder CUT

initial 53 man roster um really no big surprises but um I feel like there are three players that they should have thought about uh putting on the 53 but again um if they make it through waivers they will come back on the practice squad you get 16 uh players on the practice squad so it's not over yet and trust me sometime it's a blessing in disguise because they can make their way from the practice squad up to the 53 man roster during the season if they need help uh in certain positions and I think you'll see a good little bit of that but Tor M to put out the initial 53 uh let's take a look at it right quick and give quick thoughts that we scroll through after we get through with that y'all know I got to talk on my boy Dez M I got to do it hate to say it but I gotta do it but initial 53 man roster for the Atlanta Falcons um really no big surprises man uh like she said um talks about the Cap Health and that's uh a blessing in disguise Falcons have exactly 7.6 million um left in cap space and they could make a move uh surprise Cuts as she says include Kevin King Chris Blair uh two more players that I think are also um nron Brooks who had a very strong preseason uh I was kind of surprised that he didn't make it um but again he could come back to the practice squad uh but I think solidifying the Falcons team were the last two pickups and Matthew judon and Justin Simmons I think that pretty much wrapped up what they wanted to do with their roster so I think going into that last game they pretty much had an idea of who they were gonna keep and it's really no surprise but um let's look at it right quick man uh quarterback no surprise Kurt cousin Michael penis Taylor hanck he's borderline but I guess they want a veteran in that third spot in case they're they aren't ready to go with Michael penck just yet uh but haniki is the third quarterback for now so we'll see how that plays out at the season goes running backs uh little of surprise for caros Washington but again uh he had a pretty good preseason but Avery Willams the Special Teams captain from a couple of years ago I think he's going to be one of those guys that uh helps this team with field position so Jason McCullen he had a pretty solid game against Baltimore and I think that's solidify him for that fourth running back spot wide receiver there only keeping five I thought they were going to keep six this may be why Chris Blair was let go uh but I think he comes back to the practice squad was actually on the practice squad last year and he's done a lot of work put in a lot of work to get better than this show in the preseason if he does not make it back to the team whoever picks him up getting a hell of a receiver but you have Drake London Darnell Mooney Ray Ray McLoud CAD hardge who's a special teams uh guy who uh it sales at special teams and also a gadget guy who you can see at quarterback running back or anywhere on the field lined up he made number four wide receiver and Casey Washington who I've been raving about uh all off season he made the number five spot because um I think he has uh he's going to be special in this league and if he turns out to be a legit possession receiver I think it fits him well because deep game is not his game short intermediate routes are his game big physical receiver good release well not good release but he's going to have to work on his release at the line uh if he wants to be great but I think uh Casey Watcher can grow into that role and be on this team for the years to come tight end keep three surprise um Fitz Patrick did not make it Ross delli uh took his spot Charlie Warner who they picked up from the 49ers in the off season is number two and we all know KY pittz is the number one and as I've been telling y'all KY pittz is the key to opening this team up and uh making it explosive because if he controls the middle of the field they can control the rest of the field uh with the Run game the Deep pass and intermediate routes if they want to uh so he is going to be key to opening up this offense and I think this is going to be a career year for him uh he had a thousand yards his rookie season but only one touchdown four touchdowns coming into this year I think he gets to about seven to eight uh with Kurt cousin who is not scared to put it in the end zone offens down this is the key part to this team they have a lot they have a total of 18 players in the trenches nine on the offensive line nine on the defensive line uh Matthew Berger Run Matthews berer run Dalman and lnst mcgar your starters Ryan nuil who's a swing guy Center and guard Cy Hinton is a guard storm Norton is a swing tackle and Javon Gwyn is a center guard type player so they pretty much have the same uh offensive line they had last year uh so that's a plus and Dwayne leford is gonna do a hell of a job with that offensive line like he always does uh defensive line nine players BR Jared David onada take on Graham was a surprise to me Zack Harrison Eddie Goldman kavia Street who had a solid year last year after Detroit from the Philadelphia Eagles ruk is on the Brandon Doris James Smith Williams uh so Bradley and was one of the first Cuts uh he actually got one of the only sacks uh during the preseason and it was tough and I think he'll get picked up somewhere or he could come back here uh as a practic squad player one of 16 but James Smith even the veteran they picked up uh from Washington Zack Harrison going to his second year had a strong preseason uh Eddie Gman who retired 15 times before coming back this year um he finally makes the squad and I think they need that big body in the middle so uh Eddie Goldman 63335 uh that space eer that they need uh I think it was the right move let's keep it going man outside linebacker surprise surprise D'Angelo Malone still on the team Matthew Judah Lorenzo Carter onor El KY inside linebackers kayen Ellis Troy Anderson Nate lamman JD bertron who had a Stell uh preseason and they call him Captain America for a reason go this dude was flying all over the field Kayton Ellis and Troy Anderson you can see them line up sometime outside uh to get out to the quarterback because both of them have size and speed and um this is why uh they only kept for outside linebackers because uh they're going to use some of the inside guys to rush the pass as well corner back they cut it down by one they only carrying five AJ Terrell who just signed a huge extension Mike Hughes got just got named the number two Corner D Alford Clark Phillips and Antonio Hamilton Senor nron Brooks did not make it I was kind of disappointed and as I stated earlier uh Kevin Kean did not make the final 53 either both of those guys can end up on the practice squad they're only going to keep for safety and I'm not surprised uh we called this one on the show um Jesse bit Simmons Richie Grant and michah ABY uh will be your safeties specialist same since last year uh Bradley pinion young wayu Liam McCullum are your special teams guys so that is your 53 man roster now let's get to Mr Desmond now Desmond r two years with the Falcons man uh he underachieved uh and it's true I'mma blame some of on Arthur Smith for not getting him the proper help at quarterback as far as position coaches as far as guys on his staff that can help him grow as a quarterback Marcus Mariota ran off on the team uh so that was part of the problem he just didn't have a steady influence on this team but he's been cut by the Arizona Cardinals if you remember they traded Desmond Ritter for Rond Del Moore and Rond Del Moore is out uh with a season in injury as well non- contct injury in a joint practice with the dolphins uh but I still think the Fons win the trade because uh due to an unfortunate circumstance of Ronda MOA with the knee injury Desmond really just didn't play good and he just get good uh so I'm man enough to say this I was wrong to a certain point um I dodged Steve Smith out for D and Desmond brother uh Steve Smith let me know in the comments under my YouTube and uh shout out to Steve Smith um he was right who threw that ball damn Dez Mara all the time uh so Dez Mara gets cut by the Cardinal very disappointing uh two seasons in Atlanta uh 17 games uh 3544 yards 14 touchdowns 12 interceptions also ran for 193 yards last year and five more touchdowns so he used he used what he had he just hasn't grown into being an NFL quarterback so I could actually see him in the UFL or the CFL to try to get back to the NFL or who knows he may end up in Pittsburgh atin Smith on the time but he's cut by the Arizona Cardinals uh Clayton ton is the backup in Arizona so we'll see what happens with Des Mar he could come back to the practice squad uh but I doubt it because I think um he just needs um he just needs to step away get himself together or train a little harder uh get in the film room a little bit more to read NFL defenses because um it's just not working get Ander a call I think he could help you but those are my thoughts on those two topics man falcony isue 53 and Des really getting cut tell me what y'all think man drop those
