right quick very quick man athletic uh Mr Mike sand athletic um he dropped an article uh about Kurt cousin only been in Atlanta one season is a interesting read y'all should check it out um but if you look at the tweet tweet says much was made about Kurt C situation in Atlanta after the Falcon sign Kurt C and dropped the Michael penis Jr and that noise is D down anytime soon says mike sand the athletic uh quarterback teers believe but he get into the article man and it was an insert and they put it on Twitter as well uh it says I think Kurt cousin will not be the quarterback in Atlanta next year unless Atlanta wins multiple games in the playoffs the season is a failure for Kurt unfortunately based on the desire to see Michael pennick part of that is true and part of it is false my opinion straightforward y'all know how I do it um part of it is true um a lot of F want to see Michael pen they've been calling for him already one game in Miami and everybody just lost their mind he's the second coming but you look at Kurt cous man a veteran who's been around for a while signed $180 million deal a lot of money but in two years he'll get 90 of that and third year only 10 million is guaranteed so we talk about on $100 million uh and that's what he has guaranteed that's the first three years uh fourth here is really a plus one um it it's not stupid money because top quarterback money is 55 and when Patrick Mahomes get a new contract it's gonna be 60 million so he's only making 25 million this year think about that it's 25 million compared to 55 million that's 30 million um under the top guy with Trevor Lawrence guys jayen Herz guys like that getting 50 plus million um but as I look at it uh Michael pennix he's in the perfect position to succeed why rush it I mean he's in the perfect system that fits his play style a guy that gets the ball out quick uh throws the Deep Passad very well uh reads coverage very well and why would you want to rush that uh you let him keep developing in the film room you let him keep developing uh in training camp behind a veteran so he learns the game like he's supposed to uh you saw what Jordan love did last year out the s High Rogers for a couple of seasons start the season off slow which I expect Michael to start off slow once he gets to start uh but second half of the Season Jordan love one of the best quarterbacks in the league why would you want to rush that be patient see what Kurt cousin has to him at least two years this is why they made these move with Matthew judon and uh Justin Simmons because they have a short window when now that is the key and Kurt Cousins is going to be key to that bejan Robinson Kyle pittz all of these guys are going Darnell mun gu a just signed one of the top offensive lines in the league your front seven uh gets improvement with judon the back end gets improvement with Justin Simmons they already had Jesse Bates AJ Terrell just signed a mega deal so he's going to be back there as well so they have the pieces to win now and Kurt cousin as a veteran is a key to that even if Kurt cousin was here last year on the seven and 10 team Atlanta had last year I think Atlanta goes the other way probably be 10 and seven but since you didn't have a quarterback the defense was worn down by the end of the season and they just called it quits or down the stretch let's just call it for what it is so now that you have a signal caller that can make plays uh one that can uh who's contingent in the pocket he will help firsttime offensive coordinator Zack Robinson grow into his role as offensive coordinator by being his eyes on the field and and this is why Kurt cous move was such a great move you have a different coaching staff new regime uh first time guys and Jimmy Lake and Zack Robinson and you also have veterans on both sides of the football uh to help these guys ease into the road and transition to being the first time play callers because they have all the weapons that they need on offense and defense but can they translate only time will tell that you have a coaching Rahe Morris who's been on both sides of the coin U losing the Super Bowl with the foul and wi1 with the Rams so it just makes all the sense in the world to let the veteran do his thing for at least two seasons uh and those 65 million reasons for that second season is the main reason why I think he'll be here the only way that the Falcons pay uh they trade him and eat that cap space somebody offer them a first round pick for him that's the only way but I see Kurt Cousins being here past 2024 and I see Michel penis being ready when it's his time to take over and I think they should just leave it at that but Mike Sando you have truth to some of what you're saying uh yes Atlanta is ready to see Mike pennis but as an Atlanta Falcon fan I'm telling y'all Falcon fans be patient because his time is coming it's just right around the corner just trust me when I tell y'all that but do
