the ability to transform the world I  believe starts with understanding and   grabbing a hold of our newborn identity  as children of God recapturing a vision   of Victory which God promises to his  children and securing that Birthright   of Bravery that you were given when  you turn your heart wholly back to God America was founded by brave men willing to  make hard decisions to lead their families   and communities courageously and to stand  unapologetically for truth it excites me to   see men Gathering weekly Trail life groups across  the country to lead bravely to talk together with   their sons about things that matter and to  use Outdoor Adventure as a tool to engage with   their community and mold their culture in trail  life men across the country gather around camp   fires building one another up in the truth of  the Gospel Trail life dads seek to lead their   families and communities well challenging one  another to be The Godly dads or father figures   that a generation of boys can eagerly watch and  learn from Trail life is the kind of thing we   need available to every boy and dad in America I  can encourage you strongly enough to learn more by couple of years of being quiet you remember the  very first 100 days starting in January I believe   it was the 20th the first day the inauguration of  our president and his 100 day plan was going to   have uh lots of consequence I decided we needed  to have our own 100 day plan as the family of   Faith as we went through the pandemic and L so  many other crazy things and now here we are the   last 100 days up until the election and it's my  hope that you'll invite your friends and family   and we can pray together we can gather around the  campfire outside under the stars I'm in Tennessee   right now and wherever you are uh we we're bound  together by the spirit of God as Believers in the   Lord Jesus and I've got some special stuff that  I want to share with you I'm uh working through   the new book that I wrote called called Born to  Be Brave how to be a part of America's spiritual   Revival and I want to work through this with  you to really unpack the ideas in there that   have been transforming me and giving me hope and  giving me courage some of you may have seen me in   the news reading children's books and libraries  challenging the American Library Association we   even have a national day called see you at the  library now we're making a children's television   show which I'm hoping is going to be the new Mr  Rogers of Our Generation a and we've gotten lots   of push back we've had lots of protesters lots  that have caused other people to say to me in   airports and libraries and schools man thanks for  your courage thanks for standing up and you know   it it's interesting I guess I should be maybe  a little more apprehensive about what I'm doing   in light of the cultural opposition but I feel  Brave I feel full of courage and I think it's   it's part of the birth right that all of us have  as bornn again Believers and followers of Jesus   when we understand who we are and we understand  who we are and we regain a vision of Victory   and we hold on to the promises of God let me ask  you a question and I ask this at the back of the   book as sort of the the the main thesis that  I've been thinking about and that is what if   the current cultural setback is really a  Divine setup for a spiritual comeback led   by the family of Faith what if the things that  are horrifying you and me in our culture what   if the disintegration of marriage what if the  the flipping of morality on its head where our   children are being taught that boys can literally  become girls and girls can choose to be boys that   men can give birth what if the collapsing of the  economy and the unfaithfulness within our churches   is more than just people's bad choices what if  God is actually working behind the scenes to   orchestrate all things through our unfaithfulness  through our Disobedience to accomplish his purpose   of bringing us back to himself and the pain that  we feel is actually the very good thing that God   is using to wake us up and to remind us that when  we choose to sin we choose to suffer and the path   of obedience to God in his word is the path of  blessing I really believe that that's exactly   what we're experiencing now some of you may say  Kirk come on what are you talking about uh you   you you know what the book says things are going  to get darker things are going to get worse Maybe   you think that there's no way things could get  better in our current culture because we've   crossed the line we've just gone too far morally  it's so far down the toilet that there's no hope   of coming back out listen I I think that that's  just having small faith I think the only line   that matters is the one that Jesus crossed when  he passed from Death to life and he said all of   Authority in heaven and on Earth has been given  to me and then he told his followers now go into   all the world and disciple all the nations that  is teach them teach them the disciplines of my   commands to love one another to be grateful to be  thankful to put your faith in God to embrace by   faith the righteousness that comes by believing  the gospel maybe your view of the end times has   got got you in this negative pessimistic Doom  and Gloom slump about the future and you're just   hoping that it's all going to be over soon and it  gives you a reason to not try too hard to turn the   ship around again I think that's dishonoring to  God if we have that now I'm not trying to call you   out or call uh anyone out I'm saying all of this  as a reminder to you and to me that God says we're   more than conquerors through through him who loved  us that there's nothing that can separate us from   his love and that we will have trouble and and and  challenges in the world but Jesus says take heart   I've overcome the world and he lives within us and  we are the answer to Jesus's prayer I believe that   God would see that his kingdom comes and his will  is done on Earth as it is in heaven as he works   through his Mighty power in you and in me and  in our children in our children's children to   accomplish his good purposes and what does it take  it doesn't take staring at the at the news and   just getting uh overcome by a paralyzed outrage at  what you see the ability to transform the world I   believe starts with understanding and grabbing a  hold of our newborn God I have a friend who   understands exactly what we're talking about her  name is Riley Gaines she's a Collegiate swimmer   who's phenomenally talented in fact she rated  ranked third in the nation in the 200 meter free   style and she got to the Nationals and was  competing against some newcomer who was fifth   in the same category that they had never heard of  before turns out this person's name is Leah Thomas   and then they did some research and found out that  this is actually a biological male who used to be   called will Thomas who wasn't more than a mediocre  swimmer when he competed with the other biological   males in fact he rated 554 in the 200 freestyle  but when he started competing against the women   suddenly he was in the top five and when she  competed she tied him for fifth place very unusual   to touch the wall at the exact same time but it  was a a a an exact tie and behind the scenes the   official told Riley that they don't account for  ties and that they were going to give the trophy   to the man that won the race and she was sure that  some coach or some official would stand up for   all the women who had been training their whole  life and some of them had never made All-American   because this one had cut in line as as as a male  competing against the women but nobody did and she   knew at that moment she would have to stand up for  herself she wanted to go on to become a dentist   after her Collegiate swimming career but decided  that God had put her in this place at this time   for her to ex exercise her second born bravery as  a child of God and understand that God would be   with her and go before her and use her passion and  her energy to protect women and protect women's   sports and to stand up for what is right and help  people overcome their fears and speak out against   Injustice before all of this my friend Riley who  spoke with me at some of our children's wholesome   Story Hour readings was was relatively unknown as  a college swimmer she became more known because of   her hard work and her talent but now she's known  all over the country because of her courage that   inspires me I hope it inspires you too you and  I were born to be brave will you pray with me   dear God you say in your word that you have  not given us a spirit of fear but of power of   love and a sound mind God when I think of what  Riley did she pushed aside any fears that she may   have felt and she grabbed on to that that power in  her that was able to overcome her fears she acted   in love for her teammates and for those girls  who would come after her who would want to be   able to compete fairly and Lord she wasn't duped  by a a woke machine that got her to give up her   convictions and what she knew was right she had a  sound healthy mind and God that's what we need we   need your help so that we're not conformed to the  Twisted pattern of this world but transformed by   the renewing of our minds God would you help us  get rid of stinking can thinking and give us the   mind of Christ with true wisdom and knowledge  and understanding so that we can honor you in   all we do and we ask this in Jesus name amen  well hey I
