fight couple days before the fight because I'm you know I still be in training camp with uh reg program reg just got a fight coming up too yeah yeah you got um him he's taking on Jack catero yeah man we got some heavy stuff coming up bro so uh I initially wanted to get you on obviously you know you've been uh posting a lot on your social media the The Works that you've been putting in uh with Mela mer and uh yeah I just wanted to get your thoughts on you know what you're bringing to the camp and uh what you think uh you know that's going to translate for her into the ring well man Michaela is a a a champion before I even got into this deal and I also get a chance to work with legendary coach Al mitell what a what a highlight to my career man but you know I'm here to put you know to get her in the best shape of her life and so far so good she been working her ass off bro she's a constant Pro she's locked in and we ready to go get that win man now um this fight obviously is uh another world title right on the line the WBO belt is on the line for her so uh she was coming off of a title shot in her last fight with Natasha Jonas where she felt she deserved the win did you watch that fight and what were your thoughts on it I saw that fight and Michaela should have w a fight but you know a lot L of times when you go into the lions den and someone else's backyard you know stuff may not go your way but hopefully they'll make that fight again and you know Micha can go and do her thing but hell of a fight bro hell of a fight on both sides but I I thought Michaela as there now with that with that in mind uh this fight now taking place in Madison Square Garden does that make it mela's backyard and is Sandy coming to the Lions then oh she's definitely coming to the Lions then and no matter where Michaela may fights bro she she's a dominant dominant fighter and when she put her foot down you know she stomp some of the competition bro mostly all the competition that's what we train for man we train for Domination you know in in the in the ring out of the ring all the way across the board bro she she is a dominant fighter and come September 27th the world going to see what michaa may brings to the table without a doubt do you think that uh this time off was good or is that considered a long layoff cuz she fought Jonas in January and it it's technically you know eight months uh out of the ring well there is there's really no time off because she's constant Pro she's always doing something she's never out of shape so no but any any anytime a fighter gets the chance to get away from the combat all the banging and stuff on the body it takes a toll but she's always act but far as uh com Combat Sports yeah they you know they deserve a break but it's not going to it hasn't affected her not at all uh I got questions for the people before I let you go TI Bellis in the DMV says what's five everyday workouts you recommend and I seen you man before you I seen you you back to working out every day yourself yeah I got I can't I I gotta be in shape man because sometime you you uh you give too much to the to the other to athletes and you forgive yourself and I got a 2-year-old grandson coming up man he he a monster so I got to be in shape of him shout out to my grandson Roman man but um yeah um The Daily stuff man running eating well um just sticking to the basics pull-ups situps lunges running everything outside of outside of that you know is I don't think helps with any you know weight training and all that stuff that's a little different ball game I believe in an old school way of training man running eating well sleeping well and just staying consistent so by old school way of training are you saying you you you choose more calisthetics over weight training because I see you doing weight training for yourself yeah well yes T the two different ball games and you know when I was when I was a a a long jumper all I all did was Run and Jump and you know and then I retired from feeli and got a new bodybuilding I live now because I'm I'm in my 50s man so as you get older you have to have that muscle to keep your body nice and strong but no there's there's I don't really recommend the weight training but there's certain ways to do the weight training for boxers and there that's where the signs come in I don't I'm not saying there's some parts of weight training that that I like and some of it I don't like as it pertains to boxing all right I got otoa says greeting coach what's your favorite M music artist and give me one movie I should watch my favorite movie Friday Night Lights and myv footall movie Friday Night Lights it was a football movie or no yeah football movie because I I trained in that Stadium okay yeah I watched I feel like the music I came up on is what I miss and what I continue to still listen to even now in 2024 it's hard to get with some of these uh new artists so I I understand how you feel for sure bro any time you can pop in a Biggie Smalls and a Tupac and and you know and still be oh no that's uh we in the same era then if you still listening to that that's that you know that's exactly like I'm AR reges porre who started boxing in their teams and to be and to and to take their career this high is not you know it's not it's not done so they've been world champions and two-time world champions soon to be two-time World Champion and three-time World Champion for region tget guys and women and guys like that who defy the odds and then become Champions people that that have more more more work than Talent they all come together now we got a champion um next one is from pristine Sports networks in Virginia as aside from Regis who do you think is the best fighter at 140 pounds um good question I still like I still like um I like sub matis um I like uh Kenny Sims it's a bunch of it man 140 pound is I can I don't know if I can separate that group bro at any time any fight anyone of those guys could do something now if you if you if you talking about a tank a tank Davis coming up to 140 and now we talk about more and more competition so I I really don't have a I really I can't
