okay it's a Friday we're eight days away from the season let's talk about Kansas the one fatal flaw for the Kansas j-hawks it Kansas is jayen Daniels injury history this guy has been hurt just about every single season that he has played in college football yeah for the Kansas j-hawks and every year it's imagine if he stays healthy imagine right he's got the build of a great quarterback at this point he's got enough experience to be a really talented quarterback not just in this conference but in the country if Jaylen Daniels goes down Eric yeah yeah the jhawk ship is sinking yeah he is a massive hinge for their success and if his back is hurting even if he's not like fully injured but he's just relatively limited they're not going to get anywhere close to their ceiling and this is a team that I believe is is in the handful that could win the Big 12 yeah but only with him there there is no winning the Big 12 there probably is no AP Top 25 without Jaylen Daniels yeah so that would be a massive massive fatal flaw that demoralizes crushes kills derails crumbles pulverizes the Kansas jhawk yeah I mean he is the one with the keys and he's got to drive it right if he goes down misses any amount of time and what's going to be a very very competitive Big 12 you have no idea just how immediate the impact could be on Kansas long term for their season um and look they've got talent at running back they've got talent in the secondary Baylor they've got some some really solid players some of the best at their position in the country but without Jaylen Daniels this Kansas team is like you said not going to sniff an AP Top 25 not GNA sniff a big 12 championship and certainly not gonna sniff a college football playoff yeah I and I think a lot of these teams like you could be lazy and just say hey best player gets injured yeah you know yeah but with him specifically that is the storyline so I think had a leg injury currently like yeah has it been cuz I think it's been it's it was back last year and it was shoulder the year before maybe Head Shoulders Knees and Toes I hope we're not going down that would be bad that would be tough let's see what do you got I'm I'm I'm looking three days ago no looks like he's ready to start the season opener well yeah I know he's not injured although you said he he he's talking about no say has he ever had a a lower body injury like a serious one that's cut them out because I believe it's all been Upp body which it's interesting for a bigger quarterback yeah you would rather have well he throws his body around so it kind of makes sense yeah he does I I'll I'll look for it let give give us the next one I don't think he has that was more of a me just saying he hasn't okay we're gonna trust Big Daddy deef he has not Baylor injury Baylor and this guy is one of my most fun players to play with in NCAA college football um but there's a chance that this might come true um so for Baylor their fatal flaw is taquin Finn isn't ready for Big 12 Football the lights are too bright for the guy uh coming from Toledo I know I know Shane I like the Quan Finn yeah but I like the Quan fin the lights are the lights some many argue the lights are brighter at the glass bowl in Toledo stop it stop it nobody's arguing you know there's a real rocket in the stadium is there really yeah and it's pointed at Bowling Green which is the Rival that's actually Elite that's actually really Elite but look if dquan Finn who has been named the starting quarterback for the Baylor Bears isn't ready it could lead to what we were talking about yesterday and that is Dave Aranda the head coach of Baylor getting fired before conference play even begins um if that's the scenario then Baylor has the potential to be the worst team in this conference yeah and that's the thing is these aren't things that were necessarily going out there just kind of like yesterday we're not going out there and saying this is going to happen like you are not predicting that dcoin Finn will not be ready for the bwan Finn is so ready right but I love this guy I and even if he is ready B Baylor's not GNA be great right he's they're gonna be better if dquan Finn is ready they're not be great they'd be amazing best running back in the Big 12 um but dcoin Finn not being ready for Big 12 Football not being the player that he was before that would be a absolute massive blow for Baylor I mean there's not really anything else to say besides they would they would be a three or less win team if dcoin Finn stinks it up yeah you know that the the the their their head of the snake and they're they're a two-headed snake they're other head of the snake and Toledo are both in the Big 12 now who's the other one penny Boon at us UCF like two billion yards last year Penny TCU Penny Boon yep he had I think he had, 1400 yards at Toledo last year and UCF already has what's his name uh they have a really good running back already there's too many running backs had, 1400 yards and 194 carries 15 touch he had multiple games where he had like 180 Rush seven yards a tote he was disgusting he is disgusting what's ucf's running back I don't knowbody he's good do you want to get into TCU sure RJ Harvey yes yes he finished game with like seven straight 100 yard rushing performances yeah they're they're they're going to be good they're going to be they're going to be be pretty good A World I hate to live in is one where UCF succeeds why because [ __ ] them why sure TCU TCU their fatal flaw would be if Josh Hoover does not progress Josh Hoover is the son of a president for sure let's let's just get that very very clear uh Josh Hoover is supporting this this is fact this is fact okay um can you imagine if the son of a president was playing college football at TCU that'd be crazy uh but Josh hoer was a starting quarterback for the horn frogs last season completed 62% of his passes um threw for 2200 yards 15 touchdowns nine interceptions wasn't a very good quarterback they're relying on him to be the starting quarterback again this season if he doesn't progress then TCU is going to have another down year and if TCU has another down year then people start to question Tony Dykes as the head football coach for the horn frogs and we're talking about entire yeah absolutely because you look at the one anomaly season that they had where it was what 13-2 going to the National Championship got embarrassed by Georgia and then last year they had a down year this year would be a down year then for sure you go into next season being like was it a fluke yeah I mean you have to at least improve right because like I mentioned before when we were going into last season at this point right now it was like oh TCU and then you know Colorado beats TCU and it's like whoa Colorado whoa yeah and then TCU shows their true colors are you talking you were talking like Colorado's like a horse that you just like he just ran into uh what's the buffalo's name Ralphie not Ralphie no the actual oh is the Ralphie the ACT yeah chips the other one Ralphie yeah he just ran into Ralphie whoa whoa buddy whoa yeah if if Hoover doesn't improve I mean that's the thing with this whole t team is that until I actually watch them play football and actually like I can't predict anything I can't because I was I was confident last season that they were going to be good I was genuinely yeah I was I didn't think they were gonna be great I didn't think they were gonna be like Championship level team like make it as far as they did the year before but I didn't think they were going to nearly be as bad as they were before you got fooled yeah I did get fooled and I just hope not to be fooled again so Josh Hoover if you can step up he looks like a nice guy if you look at his picture he just looks like a nice guy but I don't know if I want does he yeah I think he does that guy looks like he plays way too much beer pong at fraternity parties Arizona State at TCU yeah I guess it can go either way and I mean son of a president like sure come on now yeah sure how nice can he be right that's true all you want to get to Arizona State next Arizona State's fatal flaw is some more lights being too bright the more the yeah the lights are just too bright for Sam lit and he crumbles under the pressure and then you have to see Jeff Sims that would be Mike Luke's dream uh but that is the Fatal flaw for Arizona State I I was between Sam levit and the lights being too bright for him being a red shirt freshman quarterback or also the offensive tackles are worse than you think they are um I think either one of those scenarios results in Arizona State having a very very uncomfy season um if Sam levit can't handle the pressure of being the starting quarterback in this conference um then that is certainly going to be a recipe for disaster for Arizona State U because then you go into next season being like okay well we have to add another quarterback from the portal is our true freshman quarterback going to have to be the starter like it could lead to just a a Litany of problems for ASU that would suck you think that would that if that would that would really really really suck what do you what are you shaking your head over there at Mr de a comment which comment David Floyd's or sweet prince Kenny sweet prince Kenny's that and they had a total I mean 32 rushing touchdowns last year yeah how many takeaways they have as a team not that many they should not have won football games to Tre I I don't know how many to there are teams in college football that go six and six and have 2,000 yard rushers two I mean they didn't even have one they had 16 takeaways yeah that's pretty standard yeah that's a lot of rushing touchdowns yeah there's a lot of rushing touch2 rushing touchdowns they play Mac football fall in the Big 12 they do they so the Fatal flaw is that their rushing attack regresses that if that happens West Virginia is not winning very many games you know who they have week one by the way yeah Penn State yeah yeah I predicted yesterday in our bold prediction that they beat Penn State is bold prediction is the game in the appalaches it is okay that's fun yeah as as out now as f as Donald says FAL people yeah you have to yell them already commenting yeah oh goodness agree with me on that if if their rushing attack regresses it's cause for Doom and Gloom MERS when your offense doesn't have a lot going for it except for some rushing and then you lose that and your margin was already so nine touchdowns last season if he goes back to rushing for only 600 yards Texas Tech is doomed Texas Tech Will Not only not make the college they will not only not make the big 12 championship game they won't go bowling if Taj Brooks isn't as good as he was last season you're just you're just breaking the microphone now what happened just fell off I'll fix it just like Taj Brooks is gonna in4 Taj Brooks falls off if Taj Brooks falls off like the edge of this microphone uh then yeah they're they're screwed Taj Brooks is like the least likely candidate to fall off in my opinion which is that's going to be a problem this kid only really played in one game last season I know it was a bowl game and he performed better than anybody thought completed 65% of his passes three touchdowns 31 passing yards uh but that was really all he did last year right like you you go back to what this kid did and just kind of eh it's all right it's okay didn't do a whole lot um didn't blow my SK up at least as it relates to what he accomplished last season I don't think he's going to take the step uh forward and Kansas State's not going to be very good yeah you know if Avery Bradley doesn't develop an offensive game and is you know he's still good on defense but if he's a liability out there on offense and they can just leave him open Talk the opposing team can play four on five you know it's GNA be really hard for the Celtics um no listen if there's a lot of teams that are hinging on their quarterbacks to take a step right or hinging on Young qubs I know sometimes people can think like oh you're kind of getting repetitive we've talked a lot about quarterbacks here but welcome to college football welcome to football right and especially there's a lot of quarterbacks with question marks it's either like quarterbacks that are in their 15th season playing college football or some that are so new that it's like oh man what are you really going to be whether it's actually their first year like a Sam levit or it's somebody who you've seen on the field and now you're projecting forward right but out of all the young quarterbacks that have high expectations whether you talk about a fafo or you talk about a Roco Beck I feel like he is the one that has the most question marks we're talking Avery or Roo Avery yeah I was going to say don't question no I please you expect me to secondary defense that's a that's a transition right there uh we seriously need to turn this microphone off um but even though they have returning players they're going to need those players to be better right so if you have the 111th uh ranked defense and pass efficiency even though everybody is back that doesn't really matter because they W great you sucked last year and everybody comes back guess what you're still gonna suck exactly so their fatal flaws if they do not improve in that area they could have one of the most electric offenses in the world they could have olly Gordon running a muck maybe winning a Heisman but that doesn't matter Oly Gordon's running a muck what's what's wrong with that nothing I don't know shot me a look he give me a look he shot me a look um I think their uh but yeah if their roster does indeed suck as much as everybody think it it will then this is going to be a really rough second year what if their roster actually does suck as as much as everyone
