Saratoga Exacta Picks & Plays | Travers Stakes 2024

[Music] welcome back to the racing dudes YouTube channel it is finally Travers weekend and what a race we have we have seven Colts and one Philly going a mile and a fourth around the dirt track at Saratoga this August 24th I'm here today to talk to you guys about my Exacta TI for this race so let's dive in the number one is the Philly torpedo Anna she has been unbeaten in her last four starts and has only lost one time in her seven career starts and that was last November in the Golden Rod she has been producing consistent Upper 90 buyers in all of her starts Kenny mCP could have put her in Alabama last week she could have won very easily but he wanted to put her to the test and put her against the best the best three-year-old boys in her division um so she's very talented I love her effort I'm not going to lie though I am a little bit nervous about her never going this distance before an extra eighth of a mile could make a difference she's also going to have an hot Pace um so she's not going to be alone like she's kind of used to the number two is sier Leon who can't seem to win a race these last few out he's been met with a door knock and fierceness so he has been up against the best of the best I think that he's going to like that this is a little bit longer of a race he's also going to like if there is a fast pace to close into in the derby in the Belmont there were some excuses there were some stumbled starts there were some bumps in the stretch I think that he's going to get a better setup this race because there is some speed in here the number three is unmatched wisdom this is the second horse for Chad Brown in here very lightly raced um he's only raced three times so we don't know a whole lot about him but the last one was an ungraded Stakes he definitely has a lot of early speed he's trying to get to the front right out of the gate along with door knock and torpedo ano um his workouts are very strong he could be someone that upsets the field the number four is Corporate power he won the Ser Barton then went up against unmatched wisdom last time out and got second place he likes to sit behind the speed and has a little bit of a late kick so that could work out for him because like I said I think this pace is going to be hot castalano has also won this race seven times so this horse could also be sneaky at a price the number five is batten down he won the Ohio Derby then hit the board last time out in the gym Dandy he finished third behind Sierra Leon and fierceness he also has early speed I just don't think that he is quite quick enough to make an impact on this race the number six is honor Marie um this is another closer in here had a bad trip in the Kentucky Derby got bumped around a lot lot in the big Belmont he still held on for fourth right behind Sierra Leon he is one of the most consistent horses in here like you guys know what you're G to get with honor Marie each time he races he's gonna try hard I'm just not sure if he is good enough the number seven is door knock he is your Bellmont and hasal winner beating mind frame each time out he is on top of his game right now his workouts are bullets a lot of people didn't even know if he was going to run in the h school because Danny Garin didn't like his post position which didn't affect him at all this time he draws an outside post which I'm sure the trainer likes better he's going to try to get to the front and just battle every single horse that tries to pass him I doubted him last race I don't know why I think I thought that his previous race was a fluke but he has proven that he is the best three-year-old male out there right now the number eight is fierceness um this is the horse I least trust in this field I mean you never what you're going to get with him he's definitely one of the quickest in here um when he's on top of his game he's very very hard to beat he won the jimm Dandy last month with a 103 buyer but if you look at his resume it's a Monster Race then it's terrible another Monster Race then it's terrible so if he stays in this pattern he shouldn't do well this time out um Todd Pletcher even said after the last race they were probably give him some time off because he does better with time off but you know rapo put them right in here so I just am going to toss fierceness to be honest with you guys so this race is very hard guys there's Pace there's closers there's so many different scenarios that could play out because we just don't know how torpedo Anna is going to do against the boys um so with all of that said um my top pick that I'm going to focus my exactus around is CR Leon um I know I questioned this pick for so long I slept on it last night but I think that the pace is going to be so fast and I think this is going to set up for a closer like I said I also have questions on distance with torpedo Anna but if she wins I won't be mad I love her girl power so my first big Exacta is going to be a $10 Exacta box with two7 I'm G to put door knock in there as well because I think he's good there's a chance he can still win this race this Exacta may not pay Stacks but I think this is what's most likely going to happen I'm also going to play a longer shot xacta which is a $5 xacta box with three horses and that is two4 and six um corporate power can rate I think he's going to be a little bit dangerous in here honor Marie is very consistent we know what we're going to get with him so let's try and make some money with these closers um so thanks for tuning in to the racing dude's YouTube numbers say $50 to win let's say some people would say are you kidding me like why am I only going to bet 50 I should bet more and then some people will say well that's way too much I can't bet $50 so scrap it percentage of your bank roll so if you have a $100 bank roll well bet10 to $15 on torpedo Ana that's that's what we're saying if you got a $1,000 bank roll bet $100 to $150 on torpedo Ana that's what that means we also added all these plays up here cuz we were getting a few people saying look hey you're playing a win on some of these but I like I just like to play trifectas so we're going to make sure to list all the trifectas the exactas everything you're betting a lot of favorites I want long shots we added a long shot play the pick fours and fives will be listed once again and
