Pittman Brings Razorbacks Bowling? (Arkansas Football 2024 Predictions)

hey everyone and welcome back to rank and file Sports and today we're going to be hopping right back into our Series where we are predicting every single power four teams record by the start of the college football season today it's the Arkansas Razer backs Arkansas has a very very difficult schedule in the SEC this season and it's going to be really tough for them to find six wins in order to make a bowl game uh overall the Rost is decent but by SEC standards they are going to struggle and they're going to have to pull off a few upsets in order to make a bowl game we believe there are a few key games on Arkansas's schedule that are going to determine whether or not they make a bowl game now the first one is that matchup at Oklahoma State the Cowboys are going to be one of the better teams in the Big 12 Conference this season so this will be a very tough road game for Arkansas to win but if they can do it there's a very good chance that they start off the season 3 and0 because Arkansas Pine Bluff is a pretty easy start to the season and UAB also at home isn't a very difficult matchup so heading into SEC Play 3 and0 would be massive for Arkansas the road trip to Auburn is one more of those possible wins Auburn is going to be favored almost certainly at home um so this will be a difficult game but it is going to be classified as a potentially winnable game for Arkansas now the next two with a road trip to Texas A&M and a home game against Tennessee are very difficult games uh we don't really see the Razer Backs winning either of those and following the bye a three-game stretch with LSU Mississippi State and all miss out of this out of these three Mississippi state is really the only one that we would consider winnable it would be a pretty massive upset for Arkansas to beat either LSU or all Miss after their second bye same thing goes here Texas Louisiana Tech and Missouri we really only see Louisiana Tech as being a winnable game with Texas and Missouri just being too talented for Arkansas to beat so there is a total of six possibly winnable games on the schedule but Arkansas is going to have to win every single one of them in order to make a bow game they have a total of seven home games and five away games and with six of their opponents being ranked in the rank and file top 25 Arkansas has a schedule difficulty of eight out of 10 the lone guaranteed win for the Hogs this season is Arkansas Pine Bluff we expect Arkansas to struggle in the SEC this year but that shouldn't carry over to a non-conference game against an FCS opponent so we have the Razer Backs winning this one pretty easily as far as likely wins go we have UAB and Louisiana Tech uh both of these teams are above average mid- major programs but um they shouldn't compete with an SEC School even a school like Aransas which we expect to be one of the uh lower tier teams in the SEC this year um so we think that Arkansas won't have too much of a too much difficulty handling these opponents we have one up for Arkansas this year and that's Mississippi State both of these teams are very evenly matched uh they are both uh lower tier SEC teams for this season um Arkansas lost their quarterback KJ Jefferson to UCF this year so offensively they're going to be taking uh step back for sure uh Mississippi state's in complete rebuilding mode so we think that this game is going to be a battle of two teams that are in the process of trying to regain uh past success so AKA rebuilding um we think that when two teams are rebuilding especially in the SEC uh with the uh Talent level that they have Mississippi State and Arkansas two teams that are fairly even in terms of talent um so we would be you know hard pressed to confidently choose a winner here looking at the likely losses for Arkansas this year as you can see there are several of them we start off with Oklahoma State this is an Oklahoma State team that we expect to compete for for the Big 12 Championship they'll be in the mix for it all year Arkansas will not be able to say the same thing in the SEC so we would be pretty surprised if the pokes uh managed to lose this game to the Razer backs uh in a battle of a big 12 and SEC opponents um as far as Auburn goes this is an Auburn team that routinely underperforms in the SEC they are a talented Bunch um coach H freze has had success elsewhere but he has yet to find that same success at Auburn the jury still out on that but uh even with that all being said this is still an Auburn team that we feel has a pretty big advantage and talent against Arkansas and you know as coach Sam Pitman U is on the hot seat um if this one goes really bad really badly it could be the nail in the coffin for his job Auburn isn't expected to be that great in the SEC and if they're able to run away with a big win that could be the last draw for Pitman um as far as A&M goes this is an A&M team that also like Auburn has routinely underperformed recently but they are still one of the most talented teams in the country um they're bringing in a new coach who knows if he's the right guy um he could be um he couldn't be uh who knows uh one he you know in this uh business in college football you either are good or you're not uh Elco has had success at Duke um and he could very well have that same success at a& but it's uh uncertain at this point whether or not he will um but even with that said the games in Dallas A&M has a huge fan base they're gonna have more than half the uh crowd in Arlington and uh we think that that's going to be a big Advantage for them so it' be a surprise to us if the Hogs were able to pull it off as far as Tennessee LSU and Missouri go all three teams have very potent offenses all three teams have talent quarterbacks um all three teams have defenses that are going to be at least okay Missouri's will be pretty good tennesses will be decent LSUS will be much improved from last year uh Arkansas's offense won't be able to score enough points to keep up with any of these three teams finally we have two guaranteed losses for Arkansas uh based on the direction of this video you guys can probably uh predict uh what two teams they are they're Miss and Texas uh we think ol Miss and Texas are National Championship contenders obviously Arkansas is pretty far away from that status right now uh old Miss's offense may be the best in college football this season we will see uh but they have enough pieces on offense to make that happen defensively they're going to be good enough to be able to uh outscore opponents comfortably um so we don't expect Arkansas to be able to you know really win this game at all unfortunately for Arkansas fans and as far as Texas goes this is a Texas team that we think on paper is the third best team in the country quarterback Quinn yers is a Heisman hopeful they have some weapons on offense like Isaiah Bond and CJ Baxter as running back Isaiah bond is a transfer receiver from Alabama who's going to make a big impact for the L horns this season so we would be uh surprised with all of Texas's Talent if Arkansas is able to um keep the game close for you know very long uh think these two games are going to be pretty tough for uh for the Razer backs moving on to the schedule recap as you can see we do have Oklahoma State winning that game at home uh they're just a little bit too talented of a team in our minds for Arkansas to be able to pull off that upset they'll have a chance uh but we do like the Cowboys to win that one so the Razer backs start the season two- one before dropping their first four games in SEC play however we have them winning as slight underdogs at Mississippi State to get their first SEC win but unfortunately for them with their schedule that will be all for the SEC and they'll pick up one more win with Louisiana Tech on November 23rd which puts their record at 4 and8 with a projected record of 4.4 and 7.6 so it's favor in a potential fifth win somewhere on the schedule now that could be the road trip to Auburn or Oklahoma State most of these other games would be pretty massive upsets if they were to pull any of those off FBI also likes them under 500 at 5.5 and 6.5 with a 2.6% chance to make the college football playoffs and less than a .1% chance to win the national championship so anyways thank you guys
