Intro what's going on oh my God my beautiful wife is with me wow so yeah what are we doing is this a special occasion yes what does that mean like it's not going to be it no it's not a regular no this is not a regular special occasion I guess you're right yeah but that's the only part that's special about what are we going to do today uh since she's here I think I I I have a couple of things that I picked out that maybe would suit her better you know would be better with her that she would like so what we're going to do is a song by uh Keith Urban it's not Keith Urban it's Toby Keith I get them mixed up because they use the same name Keith Courtesy of the Red White and Blue hell yeah brother okay sorry not Keith Urban Toby Keith I should have known I've actually been on the stage with Toby Keith for what for a golf event yeah a golf event okay it was him you know that get her done comedian what's his name yeah the puppet guy is that oh Larry the Cable Guy Larry the Cable Guy was Earl no Larry the Cable Guy and who else was at that gig uh um there was a lot of people at that gig Clintwood was at the gig hoodie and the Blowfish what's that guy's name oh yeah I don't know didn't he just get arrested that was a few months ago but yeah last year or something yes no I thought that was um I thought that was recently I thought that was like like a couple weeks ago Darius Rucker Darius Rucker was there the drummer for uh no doubt was there yeah Alfonso Rivero was there this guy oh really the yeah fresh friends from B yeah he was there he I have a photo with him uh on stage oh I don't have a photo with Larry the Cable Guy and uh Toby Keith unfortunately but uh yeah they came up and did a song with us so anyways Courtesy of the Red White and Blue I've never heard this song I don't know this I'm not really familiar with Toby Keith's music at all I don't know if I know the song or not I don't know names I don't really I'm not really familiar with this uh with his music he's a country artist right yeah he's got a song called Beer for My Horses no it says beer for my a film inspired by his song of the same name oh yeah should have been a cowboy wow 1993 wow he's been doing for a while yes he did yeah he died kind of recently yeah this year so we're going to check this out what's going on with this March 24th 2001 Keith's father was killed in a car accident at that event and the September 11th attacks in 2001 prompted Keith to write the song Courtesy of the Red White and Blue a song about his father's patriotism and faith in the United States originally intended only for live shows according to Keith following a performance for military leadership commandment of the Marine Corps James L Jones told Keith it was his duty as an American citizen to record the song damn as the lead single from the album Unleashed 2002 cury the red white and blue peaked at number one on the July 2002 Billboard Hot Country charts wow it says that there was a feud with the Dixie Chicks because the Dixie Chick said that this song made country music sound ignorant you think it was this song they think it was this song they don't go by The Dixie Chicks anymore yes that's interesting that that it would that they think it was this song that made country music sound ignorant of all songs it it took until 2002 for for country of sound ignorant I don't know their music now the chicks music now is like it's like club music now yeah it's like techno or something yeah it it's stupid anyways over comments they made about president uh George W bush bush on stage during a concert in London lead singer of The Dixie Chicks public publicly stated that key song was ignorant and it makes country music sound ignorant responded by displaying a backdrop at his concerts showing a doctored photo of mains Natalie Ms with Iraqi di Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein geez M wore a t-shirt with the letters f u TK acronym stood for friends United in truth and kindness Vince Gill took it to be a shot at Keith Fu Toby Keith jeee all right so this is going to be divisive huh of course it is it's cury of the Red White and Blue all right let's just get to it all right it's actually pretty ignorant at all actually I think it's a well-written song actually I kind I mean you know it is what it is but a lot of people just don't like patriotism well that too yeah well well I mean it's even more disgusting I mean I can get that now cuz there's I would say more of that like non- patriotism like that side of it now but in 2002 after 911 that's the Shocker for me that's where I'm like yeah really cuz like I remember that and that's that was like a big deal that was like one of our last to me one of our last real un moments so to be on the other side of that yeah is like I've definitely heard this song many times before really yeah wow they play this like if you go to a fireworks show the song's playing like for for for Independence Day okay I don't when you like when do I well I every year growing up we always went to the one that our city put on right baseball stadium and they had a playlist that they played during the show it was for like I don't know 20 minutes or something like that and this was one of the songs I never I didn't know the name of it or whatever I didn't know who saying it but this is definitely one of the songs that they'd play yeah so at this point I was in college and I wasn't going to any more Fourth of July yeah things like things like those type of things that I did when I was younger yeah right when I was a kid you know going to fireworks at like Six Flags or any of those kinds of things you know whatever so yeah I wasn't familiar with the song but to me it's just a well-written it you know it's in the style but it's not like even though there's not a lot of parts to it kind of how the structure is going it's just it's just very it's not unlike other country music where it's just very lyrics forward lyrics are Ultra important and that's how they dictated the form that's all I don't see it as ignorant at all actually I kind of don't I'm kind of like what in here is like there's way more ignorant music nowadays like intensely more and and in the years after 2002 way more ignorant music I definitely could see how some people would be triggered by the song No Doubt yes I'm not saying that they're correct I'm just saying that I can definitely see people being triggered by this song yeah espe you know they're like oh they'll be sorry that they mess with the USA you know like I like it and I'm like I like the song I like the song I like I even like the meaning to the song and stuff but I definitely see how people would not like the song so yeah yeah there it is okay all right God Bless the USA little bit of controversy what is that for uh yeah mhm it's not it's not the fourth yet no but this would be a good video to release on the 4th it would be wow could I suppose just release it on the fourth okay all right or don't maybe I will I don't know we'll see all right cool USA all right u s u last year for the Fourth of July I don't think I released a video I did that live stream of the eagle yeah I did a 24hour live stream it wasn't 24 hours it was like 12 hours I think I did like midnight the first thing in the morning until the yeah I did for a long time all day yeah live stream so anyways I don't think I'm going to do that again so it may be this video it's just gonna be a live stream of me going USA yeah there you GOA that would be a really short Loop that might get weird
