Katherine and Justin I couldn't even look at when we were shooting because it was just so stupid yeah how' you do the scene where he's just by writing poetry and everything you're just looking up at him he's so stupid I'm Jon Ora I'm Katherine O'Hara and we are going to get up close with CM paon talking about Beetle Juice Beetle Juice I don't remember I remember did we no just wow that's hurt incredible how incredible is she I one of the funniest women ever so I think I was nervous but she's so nice so it's so weird to do it in front of you I know and I just keep saying you're cool but you are she is so nice and so smart that I just was so excited to be in a scene with her I feel the same but really Jenna is just very cool and such a great head on her shoulders and such a lovely you're you have such a nice healthy way about you and the way you talk about your family and the way you talk about work and how open you are and collaborative and I'm Lear I take notes from her no it's really it was a joyful experience wedding scene instantly yeah pretty good yeah and we had fun together yeah we were dragging you by the ankles what we do paddling behind she was doing handstands on the stairs for no reason it was so silly and it went on for days and like you you don't know what what it all means and it doesn't matter cuz you know cuz Tim is doing it with such conviction and you can just see he knows where he's going and what he wants to do he's letting you play Within that world you know and come up with your own ideas but you know he kept say don't worry little it's it's all little bits we W we're not going to see all of it I don't think you are no um he he just you just believe him and with good reason you know he earned our trust and we totally trusted him so you just go with it but that was crazy did you have a tough scene to do Soul Train was pretty shooting in the Soul Train it was hard no not it was hard I'm just think of other things that were super memorable and special I didn't want to forget that scene when it happened we are we are only little scene for the two of us right with the snakes yeah yeah that was sweet that was sweet that the snake scene was hard now mean the cemetery oh that it's ridiculous my king and I your humble queen I'm glad they they were going to use a we were going to be on location in a real sary in the middle of the night then they said we're doing it on stage go oh okay as you can imagine it was really lovely and you know like family that you actually want to see but you haven't seen for a while it was lovely really just fun and instantly we all instantly jumped back into character and had lots of laughs between takes and yeah and then meeting Jenna and Willam and Justin Justin is so funny he's so good in this movie you know and and I talked to so many people in the last few days who are shocked at how funny he is well he wrote he wrote tropic Thunder you know for one thing he's the evil DJ in Zoolander isn't he he said oh yeah okay but he says he doesn't get many comedy roles and think I think he will now yeah make his own he's a great writer I think my mom is pretty incredible because she's uh had six kids U started family when she was like 19 or something like that but had a full-time job uh made sure that all of her kids wanted to do or got to do what they wanted to do and made so many sacrifices for everybody um she's such a hard worker she's been an ER nurse her whole life she's seen tragic things and still like has such an incredible head on her shoulders and way of going about things I think uh I could only be a fraction of the if I could only be a fraction of the woman she is I I would be immensely happy so I feel like she kind of has been a good person to look after and learn from that's beautiful i' said my mother too my mother raised seven kids and was at home for years and then when my younger brother and I were the youngest uh got old enough she went into real estate which was like doggy dog business but she loved it cuz she loved going inside people's homes are you going to use that piano yeah um so and just so she she'd be very kind of shy and worried about what people thought but not on your behalf or our behalf you know just taught us to be strong and and uh I think the biggest thing maybe is she had such strong faith in God and and uh such a good solid faith and great sense of humor you know because it's such a great gift to be able to laugh at you know especially in hard times in life um so she really gave us faith and and good sense of ourselves and yeah lovely I had learn anything on this yeah I was going to say I can't I'm like really in fact I kind I kind of undid things I had already learned and I had to go relearn them at home I was like this movie is messing with me no it's funny in the in the moment unless yeah when do you do you really know when you're so much of it's by asmosis really yeah that you learn you learn by example I think people who really have something to teach don't do it as if they're teaching you you know you just they just are who they are and they work the way they are and and you hope that sorry through osmosis you'll pick up on some of it yeah no I was I don't know I was going to cut you off I'm please do because no it's really the same thing I mean you see someone like Michael completely transform you're time is obviously impeccable but you know I think a lot of it was maybe just the collective group not to speak on everybody's behalf but also it was it's a the set was so specific and so unique and the energy on set was so chaotic and funny and creative and everyone was trying things everyone was improvising that I feel like that's a great Learning lesson within itself about you know we're making movies and we're giving people a place to escape you know life and reality and just get lost in this world and as someone as people who work in cre creative Fields I think it's really important to have that exercise and and have that experience and you know take whatever personal bits right and as a director or a boss I think in any environment in any kind of business make make your people working under you feel wonderful and let them know that they have something to offer then if you're confident enough and you have to be you want to hear their ideas because you're get so much more out of people you know we all felt so welcomed our ideas were welcomed and it just make it makes you just want to do your best work Catherine Justin Catherine and Justin I playlist because she has this connection with this kid Jeremy um in Winter River and his room is decked out in movie posters and things like that so we came up with the list or of all these bands and Sonic Youth was on there Bikini Kill was on there the Pixies were on there J Johnson was on there um just a lot of people from the ' 80s and 90s who uh were a part of that sound and uh that was asid's thing we also I don't know if it ever made it into the movie but there used to be lines about that being what she also bonded with her dad over so those were on asterids I think mine would be I wouldn't have I wouldn't I wouldn't be able to decide what I like or don't like but I would want to be open to really new music from all over the world so I would have those you know play radio stations that have like University music from all over the world and then I'd feel really hip that I knew that German band I thought you were going to say like try to go as artistic as possible and it' be like chimpanzees in the rainforest there might be some of that yeah just I'm open to really new stuff and I want I want to be in touch with artists like-minded artists yeah I mean well Sabrina is just the coolest she's the coolest she's so sweet she's so unbelievably funny um so I mean that was just a random off-handed thing she was like hey are you going to be in LA on this day I want to see a music video for like a day if you're around if not let's just grab dinner another time and um it was my one day off in LA and I was like well yeah I want to hang out with Sabrina for a day and I'd known her since I was a kid you know we were on Disney Channel around the same time so it's just nice to see her again and it's so rare that you have an opportunity with a schedule like this and what we do you just don't have time for things you're traveling all over so the fact that I was able to that was kind of like just a personal thing just for me really just because it was fun we had so much fun I was and I'm so happy and excited for like if there's anyone more deserving I don't know that there is she's just been such an honest kind genuine person it's really exciting seeing everything that is happening for her and I just wanted to contribute to that lovely inspiring exciting scary some days just wanting to be as good as you can be and match everybody you know just be rise rise to everyone's level um yeah really a good a good uh hard work in the in the best way uh that's it so thanks for watching thank you
