content for you guys all right let's to remind you guys of the roster cut SL moves that have taken place before Monday which is today Keith Randol got cut uh Tommy Sweeney was a vet who got released so he's not subject to waiver so maybe he's someone who returns down the road or comes back to the practice squad so we will see Douglas Coleman the cornerback who had the neck injury scare in the preseason finale if he's not claimed he's going to revert to IR Simba Webster Ian wheeler have already been placed on IR with season ending injuries so uh that is where where things sit uh coming into today and now let's get to the moves that have taken place in the last hour or so jyree Carter right as I pushed out my 53 man roster projection uh Aaron Wilson reported he was cut I was like okay I'm not going to be 53 for 53 uh I was a little surprised by the timing of this one with J Tyreek Carter uh I knew he was on the bubble I knew guys like Bill Murray uh and Doug Kramer and Matt PRI had good camps and you know a couple of guys could squeeze Carter out but I've always liked what I've seen out of him the former seventh round pick but clearly the Bears feel better about some of their other guys and that's a testament to what they've been able to do uh in adding quality depth to this offensive line so uh he hits the road I think he's a candidate to get claimed by another team if not I would certainly expect him back on the practice squad were you surprised that jye Carter was cut type why for yes type in for no I'm not shocked he got cut I am surprised he was a part of this early batch right like in their eyes uh they didn't even view him on the bubble so uh why for yes and for no what say you let me know in the comments below Drome Carvin another offensive lineman was cut as well I thought he did some pretty decent things early on in Camp he started the Hall of Fame game at Center and I thought showed out well but as Camp went on it was pretty clear that Doug Kramer was the better option among the young centers him and Carvin kind of competing behind Coleman Shelton and Ryan Bates uh so car Carvin hits the road as well and now with him and Carter out you look at kind of your interior depth Bill Murray Doug Kramer Matt prior I don't expect Theo benedet to make this team but as of now he's still there uh I think it's good news for Bill Murray and Doug Kramer uh with Tyreek Carter and Jerome Carvin getting cut kind of confirms that Kramer had passed Carvin at the center spot and uh that Bill Murray had outperformed uh jyi Carter in the Bears eyes so both those guys I think decent position to make the 53 man roster talk about both these linebackers at the same time here Javin white who signed late in the summer Paul MOA as well no real surprises here I didn't view either of these guys on the Bears roster bubble so now Chicago down to seven linebackers obviously you got your three starters they're going to be here um aan agag Bigga he's obviously I think pretty safe special teamer as your fourth backer and then I think to me Micah basker and Noah Su I bet they'll only keep one of those guys I projected Baskerville wouldn't shock me if they kept Su as a fifth round draft PI from last year I doubt Carl Jones Jr makes the team but uh I know Brad bigs has reported that the Bears like him so can't completely dismiss that possibility caught in the first wave of cuts here and again Testament to the depth built on this roster you look at where things sit now at safety quindell Johnson was the guy they claimed off waivers last year and was on the roster all year now he doesn't crack your top six safeties byard and brisker is your starters Jonathan Owens is probably your three and then Elijah Hicks tarius Moore and uh Adrien Colbert competing for one or two spots here I think Hicks makes it as your fourth and I projected Adrien Colbert to make it as the fifth safety I've always liked what I've seen out of him but uh tarvarius Moore could certainly make it as well probably comes down to special teams value among those two guys but again quindell Johnson a guy who was on this team last year got real snaps at times with Eddie Jackson hurt this year doesn't make it out of the first kind of wave of roster Cuts so uh they've added some quality depth to some different positions here couple of defensive tackles here Michael DW for Jaylen Hutchings DW for a guy who they signed kind of in the middle of the offseason I want to say in like May after the draft had some experience had been on some NFL rosters before didn't really show much in camper in the preseason I don't remember calling his name a single time uh Jaylen hutching is a guy who has some Talent out of Texas Tech was injured throughout the draft process and uh up until about two weeks ago they signed him toward the end of Camp he gets Cut Loose as well I wonder if he could be a practice squad type of candidate someone to develop uh but that kind of leaves you with these guys on your defensive line and on the interior Dexter Billings Pickins who's nicked up right now we'll see what his status is soon they traded for Chris Williams Byron cower still in the mix Deshawn mallerie I don't think mallerie makes this team uh Cowart firmly on the bubble there but I think Dexter Billings Pickins and Williams are all safe to make the 53 man roster then a couple of receivers some pretty obvious ones Peter LeBlanc who was on and off the 90 man roster throughout camping in the preseason John Jackson Caleb Williams former college teammate at USC played his last year at Nevada last year didn't show much of anything uh in throughout camp and the preseason maybe they keep him on the practice squad because I don't think he'll get claimed uh him and Caleb were tight maybe throw him a bone 16 player practice squad these days she got a lot of room uh but uh he doesn't look like an NFL player to me if I'm being completely honest all right predict a surprise Bears cut who's someone that you think will get cut that could be a surprise to people I think jyree Carter was a minor surprise um so if there's someone that's a bigger surprise than him let us know who that player is now currently the Bears are down to 78 players which means they still have to make 25 cuts a lot of time between now and tomorrow at 4:00 eastern time but uh it'll happen quick it'll happen quick uh teams got about 24 23 hours here uh to make their Cuts uh you got to get down to 53 by 4 Eastern on Tuesday uh waiver claims due the following day at 12: Eastern and then uh practice squad signings will start to occur Wednesday at 12:01 and next 24 hours are going to be hectic uh the Bears got a lot of decisions to make I'll be curious to see how much we see of it on Hard Knocks tomorrow night that will be fascinating as well and speaking of tomorrow we're going to go live at 4 eastern time tomorrow which means I'm not sure if we'll do a hard knocks late night show since we're going live in the afternoon we'll kind of leave that TBD probably not uh to be honest butth we'll certainly be monitoring and tweeting about it but we'll be live
