Chicago Bears 53 Man Roster Is OFFICIALLY Set! Who Got Cut And Who Didn't?

all right the moment we've all been waiting for the Chicago Bears 53 man roster is officially set so let's talk about it people what is going on y fos for back at it with another video talking NFL here to talk about the Chicago Bears and here to talk about the official 53 man roster it literally just got released so I'm going to give you guys the latest uh roster that the Chicago Bears put out the initial 53 man roster and give you guys my reaction to that so if you guys are new to the channel wel welcome make sure you hit that big subscribe button down below people make sure you are following me on all my social media platforms guys hit the Bell icon to you're notified every time I drop a new video all right so let's get into this all right so first let's go through the initial 53 man roster and I'll give you guys my reaction as I go through it and then we'll talk about the notable cuts a little bit more in detail at the end as well all right so we'll start with the quarterback position here we got two QBs making it Caleb Williams and Tyson bent no surprise there that's what I predicted and that is what ends up happening here so Brett ripping got cut and Austin Reed as well Austin Reed I hope the kid gets on the practice squad man great kid to have great character love seeing him his family on Hard Knocks like it's just a great story and he can play football he's a good quarterback but of course two is fine Tyson B is a great backup so hopefully Austin Reed makes the practice squad so no major reaction to the quarterback position running back we have four that we did end up keeping DeAndre Swift khil Herbert Roshan Johnson and and Travis Homer now it is notable that veis Jones Jr was not included as a running back even though that's where he's been playing and that is where I had predicted him to be in terms of the roster and so um he is not listed there so we have four running backs and no major takeaways here either all four of these guys I thought were pretty much locks the top three for sure with swift Herbert and Roshan Travis Homer is a great special teams player that's why they kept him around okay the fullback position Ki blasting game so with Cory blasting game the expectation is that the Chicago Bears will bring him back they did terminate his contract though but they're going to just do some roster shuffling if you will this is per Brad bigs and uh I I had it makeing the 53 man roster uh I know sh Shane waler our new offensive coordinator doesn't really use the fullback position but he's just such a great veteran to have around I thought they would find a use for him so looks like he'll be coming back not sure what that means in terms of who gets left out there because again you have to have 53 you can't have more so we'll wait on that wide receivers we have DJ Moore Keenan Allen romad dun Tyler Scott DeAndre Carter and veis Jones Jr okay so a couple notable things here I did not have DeAndre Carter making the 53 man roster that I had so a little surprise there but I guess they really want to make sure that they have some guys that can play both positions as a receiver and a returner so I don't mind that DeAndre Carter a veteran in this league Dante Pettis is a guy who is out um he is I believe going on IR uh so to me he he is a guy that got left out here and then Colin Johnson also got cut as well uh so those are the receivers tight end Cole KT Gerald Everett Mercedes Lewis those are the three tight ends I know a lot of Bears fans are upset about Brennan Bates the rookie tight end not making it and he's fantastic hopefully gets on the practice squad but I knew there was no way Mercedes Lewis was not make the roster here offensive line let's move over to the O So Braxton Jones Tevin Jenkins Coleman Shelton Ryan Bates Nate Davis Darnell Wright Karen amaji Matt PRI and Bill Murray and Doug Kramer so the last two are notable here I did not have them making the 53 Bill Murray and Doug Kramer do make it and we've got Larry borham who is on the outside looking in as far as the team but he did get placed on short-term IR I think he's going to be back so that means one of these guys will get cut and then Jay keran did not make the 53 he got cut as well so the two notable here notable offensive Ling here Bill Murray and Doug Kramer Bill Murray not a big surprise he's been playing pretty well I was surprised more by Doug Kramer okay defensive line this one was shocking to me I think we have what 10 guys so Demarcus Walker Montes sweat Andrew Billings Javon Dexter Zack Pickins Austin Booker Dominique Robinson Daryl Taylor Daniel Hardy and Chris Williams yeah that is one two three four five six seven eight nine 10 uh players on the dline I'm shocked by this I had eight guys making it okay I did not have Daniel Hardy making it not because I didn't think he deserved it just because I thought we needed a more depth at The Tackle Spot I did have Byron cart making it I did not have Demarcus Robinson making it and I feel like he hadn't deserved it but guess they're still waiting on that potential and then Chris Williams that was a late edition the late trade that happened so if I knew that trade had happened I would have definitely had him in so to me very surprised year that we kept that many defensive linemen I think what's going to happen here is they're going to find sort of the right combos of who to keep and who to stay and I don't know if Will are going to carry all these guys I I don't think we will um I think some of these guys will be left out Dominic Robinson hasn't done much to me I didn't think he would make it so that's the first guy I'm thinking of here and then maybe like when some of these guys come back from IR you know one of these defensive linemen will get waved so that is the DL spot linebackers we got T Edmonds TJ Edwards Jack sandboard no um surprises there with the starters and then amen oh and then Noah Su make the 53 okay Mich Baskerville is the odd man out I did have him making it and not Noah Su so flip that um and you know sad for Michael basell he did make some plays in the preseason but that's just how I goes I guess moving on to the secondary we got the quarterback position here so we have six guys Jaylen Johnson Kyler Gordon Tyreek Stevenson Terrell Smith Jaylen Jones Josh Blackwell so unfortunately no ready Stewart everybody's preseason favorite um Cinderella Story does not make it onto the 53 man roster I'm not sure why but again they kept more defensive ends that's why I they had to cut quarterbacks here so ready Stewart hopefully he's on the practice squat really played well in the preseason I thought he deserved it I don't agree with this but that is what the Bears did safety Kevin Byer Jaquan brisker Jonathan Owens Elijah Hicks that's exactly what I had and the Special Teams Caro Santos Patrick skills and Tory Taylor that's exactly what I had so I mentioned couple of guys on IR Larry boram is one Jacob Martin defensive end he's another guy these guys will designate to return talked about the CI blasting game situation as well and then um we talked about yeah so those guys so some of the notable Cuts here that were made um obviously you know the ready Stewart thing I I I'm so sad about that I can't believe they cut ready Stewart man I'm I'm bummed he really played well I thought he deserved it um and I'm shocked I'm I'm shocked that he did not make the roster happy for Daniel Hardy making it um I thought he played really well and he deserved it uh a couple other guys that did not make it Adrien Colbert um again brandan Bates Brett rien Austin Reed Ian wheeler um yeah so a lot of these guys that that didn't make it I I'm sad about but overall folks my big takeaway here from looking at the 53 is just how many defensive lineman were carrying and then you know kind of uh the focus on the trenches being there so out of the 53 just for fun I I went back and looked and see how many I got wrong so I did uh I did count that up so I have six players that I uh predicted incorrectly so 43 47 excuse me out of 53 guys I did I get right so the guys I was wrong about that I had making it that did make it Dante Pettis Michael Baskerville Jay keran Daniel Hardy uh excuse me D yeah Daniel Hardy I had not making it and he made it Brian CER ready Stewart so um yeah man like I'm I'm pretty happy with the predictions that I had but overall folks um that's the 53 again like I said my biggest takeway is how many defensive linemen they're carrying uh I can't believe it's 10 but overall I think it's pretty solid folks uh I'm excited and and I can't wait for the season to start here so let me know what your guys' thoughts are on the initial 53 man roster leave your comment
