Angelina Jolie and Brad Pit two of Hollywood's most iconic figures are both set to attend the 2024 Venice Film Festival but there is no way their paths will cross during the event according to Festival organizers despite their ongoing and highly publicized Feud over their French winery Chateau miraval and the finalization of their divorce the festival has taken meticulous steps to ensure they avoid each other Jolie's film Maria and pits film wolves are both premiering at the prestigious Italian Festival however the festival artistic director Alberto Barbara assured Vanity Fair that the scheduling has been carefully arranged to prevent any interaction between the two stars Jolie is set to appear on the opening day Thursday August 29th and will depart for the Telly ride Film Festival immediately after along with Maria director Pablo Lorraine pit on the other hand will not arrive in Venice until Saturday ensuring the former couple will not cross paths Jolie 49 was seen arriving in Venice on Thursday with her Maria co-star Pier Franchesco aino looking elegant in a simple black dress later she was photographed in a flowing Brown gown her hair styled down exuding her signature Grace and Poise meanwhile Pit's arrival on Saturday is expected to be a lower key Affair given the careful planning to keep the two actors apart the decision to keep Jolie and pit separate at the festival is not surprising given the ongoing legal battles between them their bitter dispute over chatau miraval has been making headlines since 2022 when pit sued Jolie alleging that her sale of her 50% stake in the winery to tenute delondo a subsidiary of the stoy group breached a contractual agreement the former couple purchased a controlling interest in the winery in 2008 and spent significant time there during their relationship The Vineyard which holds sentimental value as the site of their 2014 wedding has now become a contentious point in their divorce proceedings Jolie's company Nal has accused pit of orchestrating a vindictive campaign to loot the profitable Winery since she filed for divorce in 2016 according to court documents obtained by Fox News digital nille claims pit has hijacked chatau miraval and squandered the company's assets on unnecessary renovation projects including a $1 million expenditure on swimming pool Renovations adding to the legal entanglement Jolie recently demanded that pit hand over third-party Communications related to a 2016 incident on a private plane where the couple allegedly had a physical altercation Jolie filed for divorce shortly after this incident her lawyer Paul Murphy accused pit of controlling all the properties the couple shared as well as the business while still seeking more through legal action pit is reportedly suing Jolie for $67 million plus punitive damages a move Jolie's legal team describes as an attempt to punish and control her in response a source close to pit told Fox News digital that the lawsuit over the winery is a straightforward business dispute and criticize Jolie side for introducing personal elements into the case the source argued that these personal ATT attacks have only served to expose the weaknesses in their case and have unnecessarily complicated and prolonged the proceedings as the legal battles rage on it's clear that the 2024 Venice Film Festival will not be the setting for any reconciliation between Jolie and pit the festival's careful scheduling will ensure that the former couple remains as far apart as possible both physically and emotionally as they continue to navigate their complicated post- divorce relationship
