Remarkable Paper Pro Color - Everything you need to know

hey everyone it's Michael here from goody beer.com remarkable has just announced a brand new product and it's not known as the remarkable 3 it is known as the remarkable paper Pro and what's the big selling points behind this is that it's actually using an 11.8 in screen so it's significantly larger than any of the previous generations it's using a new color canvas 3.0 technology it has a frontlet display so you can finally use this device at night low light conditions and it's pretty well a a product that you could use day night morning and anywhere in between it's just a front light it doesn't have any warm lighting or color temperature systems but the best sing feature behind this it is using e in gallery 3 so this is color eaper you can freehand draw look at color PDF files see cover art in ebooks and have a wide color palette in order to make highlights to draw to flex your inner creative muscles so let's look into it and see what this device is all about because it's very interesting so um it's 11.8 in it's using canvas color 3.0 uh the Ian gallery 3 is um so both the black and white resolution and the color resolution are one and the same so you have 2160 so 2,160 pixels by 1620 at 229 PPI other paper tablets put a filter on a black and white display to produce colors on a remarkable Pro colored eing particles inside the display move around to render what users write and read the natural colors evoke the feeling of printed newspage paper um so remarkable is the second company used use in gallery 3 in a commercial product however remarkable is the largest and most potential to go truly mainstream so how did they make the jump from black and white displays to color uh they actually told me uh in an email in the gallery 3 platform Ian gave us the right ingredients for making a unique color display using the display paper Technologies as a foundation our teams have redesigned every part of remarkable signature paperlike Reading Writing experience from the marker tip to the textured display surface to how the remarkable OS our custom operating system behaves the result is the canvas color display a custom displ display stack that delivers an even better writing experience that remarkable too out of the box gallery 3 Pro promises an update time of 30 milliseconds on a remarkable 2 it's 21 milliseconds however on the remarkable paper Pro it's as low as 12 milliseconds so remarkable pretty well took gallery 3 which is 30 milliseconds for page turns uh for drawing for for state the state on the display to change from one to the other so they managed to do that to 12 milliseconds and even big me hasn't been able to do that the only other company that had a gallery 3 device so this is actually getting a nice little performance boosts in terms of hardware specs it's running a quad core uh 1.8 GHz processor 2 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of internal storage uh Wi-Fi uh USBC and um a giant uh 500 5,250 um milliamp battery so the overall experience in terms of Form and Function the UI is very similar to previous generations are remarkable so they're not really uh changing very much there's just a new slider bar to control the friendly display uh in the settings menu and um in the writing uh area you actually have uh numerous ous colors now so there's nine colors in total black gray white blue red green San magenta and yellow uh the colors are just not Standalone either but you can blend these colors to create new ones or get artistic and use blending dithering shading the device could display uh can efficiently support 20,000 different colors so you can take these colors and mix them together with like a color palette I don't know if they have a color wheel or anything like that we'll have to wait to our comprehensive review um there's two styluses for this there's similar to previous generations remarkable you have the basic one and the premium stylus premium stylus basically has um tilt recognition an eraser button a textured black finish um so yeah it's in the US you're looking at about 579 for just the you know the device and the marker if you want the marker plus it's about $6.29 and then there's various cases like available and things like that um in Canada it's like $1,000 basically for just the the stock kit and these are shipping out in roughly like a couple weeks uh but we'll be getting our review sample within days so you can expect an unbox video to really uh you know to to show you guys what this is all about out of the box and then a full-on review video a comparison video between the remarkable paper Pro and the remarkable 2 which incidentally remarkable is continuing to sell the remarkable 2 so they're not discontinuing it but they are selling it uh but I don't know if they're going to be offering any type of discounts or anything like that but large screen uh color e Inc and not just using Kido 3 which looks washed out on a lot e readers but they're using gallery 3 which is the best of the best in terms of color accuracy resolution overall experience it's looking like that this is going to be a huge winner like already newspapers magazines Tech blogs mainstream news outlets are all reporting on this because it's it's huge news and this is the first remarkable product in really three or four years so you know this is going to be the Flagship product you know going until 2028 2029 so you know you're going to be hearing a lot about this and I want to hear what you guys think large almost a 12in screen color a front light so these are features that a lot of people have been begging for for years from a remarkable and they told me that they've listened to like their customers you know they they really wanted to do everything that
