Jalen Milroe Alabama football | FACE IT, he's ELITE

fam what's good it is Kyle Henderson aama football on YouTube coming to you on the bleacher report app could I get it roll time what's up first of all thank you bleacher report for allowing me to be here I really appreciate the opportunity to talk Alabama Crimson Tide football with you guys and thank you so much for being here let me know where you're watching from inside the comment box I added a poll inside the chat box and it's basically asking you do you think that Kaden Proctor will play tonight play Saturday that is against South Florida now um I listed a couple options yes no and unsure I'm going to have some graphics that I will have to display inside the chat I appreciate you guys being here thank you very much for being a member of Bleacher Report and following me right here on Bano football on YouTube an easy way to access me is simply go to B football on YouTube YouTube or right here on Bleacher Report every single Wednesday afternoon I appreciate you guys being here thank you so much for being a part of the show on uh B football on YouTube via Bleacher Report all right so on the show today what I'm talking about the health status of kayen Proctor how good is jayen milro look it's a trending topic whether you want to face it or not okay we're also going to talk about Ryan Hollywood Williams and just how good the talented freshman is at the University of Alabama only 17 years old right uh we're going to talk about the defense names to know going into this next game and some stat stars from week one talk about some players to watch against South Florida and then also touch on Sabin field now at Bryant Denny Stadium you know it's amazing to me coach sabbin a living legend literally he has this a bronze statue outside of the stadium and already nam in the field after him I personally like it I'll jump to it you know at the back end of the show and by the way if you're watching on YouTube at the tail end of the show I got Freddy roach's interview from today has a lot to say about his defensive lineman including Tim keeman Tim Keenan James Smith that defense posted a goose egg against Western Kentucky all right so um let's talk about the status of kton Proctor and theoretically what could happen if he can't play against South Florida now I think when you look to a player like Kaden Proctor it's interesting I mean this was the guy who transferred from Alabama to Iowa where he's from transferred back was working with the number twos had to earn a spot back and now he gets injured before the first game even happens during warm-ups so here's what the offensive line theoretically could look like if K Proctor can't go this coming Saturday okay so you got Elijah pritchet would be subbed in you also have Tyler Booker that left guard position now the icons on the screen if you're new to this they work like this the C represents that he's a captain and the star represents that he's an All-American now the icon underneath Parker bford is a transfer he's a transfer in and he's also a All-American you also have Jaden the Hulk Roberts and you have wilcom for me now under that you could see the snaps that they had in this last game against Western Kentucky this could theoretically be the option you have Elijah pritchet step in Nick who's the offensive coordinator at the University of Alabama had a lot of positive things to say about him welcome forb can work at right tackle or even left tackle but people are starting to talk about this possibility as well and that would be to move Alabama's All-American guard Tyler Booker out to the left tackle position and put Gino vanderark who's a transfer from Michigan State at the left guard position look this was a fantastic ad getting Gino vanderark from the transfer portal as as well as Parker bford one thing that coach kayin neor really did well was utilize a transfer portal I mean A+ across the board getting Kaden Proctor back I mean say what you want he's a transfer Parker bford an immediate fix and getting Gino vanderark right a player that has experience playing Center and guard at Michigan State I mean the biggest transfer he clearly got was Graham Nicholson right getting the Lou groa Award winner from University of Miami of Ohio even though they feel that uh he was tampered with right so I'm I don't know I mean so far the status is that you know coach kayin debor and actually he gave an update today this is uh from coach kayin deor I'm gonna play this right now and he and he said um we'll have to kind of see towards the end of the week if it was up to Kon Proctor he'd probably be out there but we've got to be smart and that means these days earlier in the week we got to be smart and careful and that's cayin debor during the SEC teleconference I mean really there's no rush to play Kon Proctor in this game now I'll say this South Florida is a lot better than Western Kentucky here's an interesting graphic right here so this photo was taken from the University of Alabama today and as you can see there is Gino vanderark number 56 and to the left of him closest to us is Tyler book Tyler Booker working at that left tackle position it's interesting to see and that would mean it was this scenario right here that Tyler Booker is at left tackle Gino vanderark at the guard position maybe it doesn't matter because Alabama is clearly a buz saww right now right you've seen what they did in week one and I get it it's against Western Kentucky still to be able to pitch a shut out in this day and age is impressive Rive on the defensive standpoint in the offense I mean in light work jayen milro was amazing which leads me to my Segway point which is about Jaylen Milo and how good is he and if you follow my channel I always attack the haters against Jaylen Milo I'm on the fan wagon I'm I'm on the train the jayen mill train I have been I believe in the kid I think he's the most dangerous player in all college football and what we saw from him last week his ability to even run for 40 yards I love it he took over the game in the SEC Championship game I I think that he's been done wrong by the previous offensive coordinators and look he gets better every single time that he steps on the field I brought up his uh passing tree and I like to do this this is courtesy of Pro Football Focus Jaylen milro his numbers passing wise between the numbers into the outside right with 20 yards over it's it's mind I mean the guy has the best deep ball he's able to find Ryan Williams we're going to talk about him next but I mean look to the outside right one of one 84 yards an NFL passer rating of 158.3 between the numbers 55 yards and that was another that was post route to Ryan Williams people want to see the short intermediate right well on the screen I mean it was light work for him we only threw nine passes in that game I think in this new era of college football this new where we're at you're going to see less possessions by each team I mean you only threw nine but but Alabama also got Tai Simpson in and Dylan Lan as well he was one one to the left for 22 yards which is also a touchdown right to Kendrick law one of two across the middle for eight yards and one of one of 10 yards to the outside right I I think that was to Emanuel Henderson if I'm not mistaken and then one of two for four yards um under 10 yards I mean I think with this system and coach kayin debor and Nick Sheridan I I mean it it's going to be really amazing and it's going to be really hard for teams to stop Alabama's offense look I I've said it looking at Alabama schedule clearly Georgia in the way that they looked against Clemson they look good but if you're going to beat Alabama in my opinion you're going to have to outscore them it's I mean who can outscore Alabama when I'm thinking right now I maybe Texas I mean if you want to say Oregon my goodness Oregon they should be penalized for keeping it close with Idaho that's just my opinion Georgia looked good they got a talented quarterback Ohio State I guess but can they win the big game in crunch time oh miss clearly Jackson Dart returns Lane kein you got to have respect for him now as talented as Jaylen milro is there's a lot of talented college football quarterbacks actually I love the play of LSU and USC each of the quarterbacks I thought was fantastic if you watched my shows before I I love that game it was it was down to the wire USC scored a touchdown in the final seconds to win that game made it larger than it was but I don't see a lot of High Caliber running backs on the same team like Alabama has and I think going forward they're going to compliment jayen mro even more so and when Alabama does have to sustain drives that is exactly what's going to happen Justice h the guy ran what four times for 105 yards it's an average of 25 per carry just uh Jan Miller barely had opportunities and and you saw him bust off what a 39 yard touchdown run as well that's a dangerous Duo sure Alabama has tons of weapons we're going to talk about one of them next which is Ryan Williams but I think the world is forgetting about how talented Alabama's running back room is that's a quality tandem we saw Richard young get opportunities we saw Daniel Hill get opportuni we saw Kevin Riley get opportunities but if Alabama really needs to run behind the tackles behind the guards move the sticks play an attact game Justice Haynes Jan Miller those guys are exceptional and there's a reason that royell Williams went to Florida State we love royell Williams it was time for him to move on because these running backs are going to feast and if you don't think that Alabama running backs are going to eat in coach kin deor system you haven't been watching coach kin deor at a thousand yards running back last year did a really good job I personally think that jayen Miro is going to win the Heisman Trophy I think he leads this team to a national championship that's not fan talk I mean look look what Vegas just did I mean before the season they were like plus 1400 now they're like plus what 600 even Vegas is buying it I mean you're seeing it right now jump on the train while they're still room jayen milro is that good I promise you all right let's talk about a freshman that is absolutely turning heads and that is Ryan Williams you've seen it before um I mean where you saw during the game the guy catches two his first catch ever is a 84 yard touchdown like is this real life and then his second one is a 55 Yard score where he makes a play he shifts he he splits a safety and gets off the two guys crashed into each other the guy's like a video game he's like NCA football now his nickname is Hollywood by the way he has a new podcast go check it out it's called the new wave it's Ryan Williams and Jaylen mbaku and I saw a little excerpt um I haven't had time to watch the full thing but I saw excerp of Ryan Williams he said he's going out to his car and just like the the swarming of the fans y this guy is a real life celebrity at 17 years old I saw a graphic it said that he's the youngest player in SEC history to score a touchdown think about that he's SC he scored not one touchdown but two 17 years old and going in I mean and think about this usually now in this day and age freshman get here in the springtime he didn't get here in the springtime he came in June he just got here from my understanding he was slicing up the Alabama defense which is a really good defense as soon as he got here first scrimmage it was a 80 yard score from Jaylen milro if you watched the practice highlights that the University of Alabama sent out you see Jaylen mirro bombing it out to Ryan Williams clearly these guys have an early continuity it's a I mean it it might be too early to call it a top tandem but I mean look at look at this I was uh looking over the Pro Football Focus grades I love analytics if you scroll all the way down these are all the top graded wide receivers from this past weekend McMillan from uh Arizona scored four touchdowns had 304 yards of receiving of 10 receptions he was targeted 15 times but if you go all the way to the bottom there's Ryan Williams top 19 this these are the the top 20 wide receivers in the country the guy's 17 years old and he just caught the ball twice for 139 yards and two touchdowns his Pro Football Focus grade 87.4 I don't know what he did wrong I I mean I don't you know sometimes the grades you're like well what happen but but then again you know they graded over 19 plays that was the play that's the snap count for Brian Williams just 19 what's going to happen when he has 100 snap counts in I saw this as well someone said that Isaiah bond does anybody know how many uh touchdowns Isaiah Bond caught he caught four uh four touchdowns during his time Alabama of course the the fourth and 31 Ryan Williams already caught two I was also thinking about this out of all the guys that transferred out are you missing anybody seriously I don't think anybody is missing anybody that transferred out I mean people were upset about you know uh Caleb DS leaving well you get a safety in and Keon Sab has two interceptions in the first quarter you forget about him Isaiah Bond he transferred out Ryan Williams comes in as a freshman 17 years old catches two touchdowns okay what about uh I'm going to be sad about will rker the alltime leading SC well Graham Nicholson the Lou Gro award who actually beat will rer out comes in and he's seven to seven on Pats right okay Roy Dell Williams left well look what happened with these running backs against Western Kentucky I mean was there a transfer that Alabama is really missing right now Amari nblack he's a tight end did he even play at Texas I don't I don't I don't know if he played or not I think he might be like on their two deep I mean Earl little I mean can you imagine the transfers that went to Florida State I've been harping on Florida State for a long time uh but that's the truth Ferguson right Earl little Alabama didn't miss any of those transfers and the transfers that came over here they're getting plenty of playing time I love it and that's something that now we're going to talk about the defense and kind of names to know and one of the things about this system that I quickly learned and I get it it's Western Kentucky but coach kayin theor played a ton of people I think there was 19 freshman that played against Western Kentucky and I was thinking about it is be is it because there's opportunities for these guys to play or is it because he wants to make them feel a part of the team get some PT so these guys don't you know get slid into the DMS at the end of the season be like hey you didn't play at Alabama come over here and you know play for us in the transfer portal you know that happens mean I have been a Kaden Proctor but now if these players are being included on big plays de games and of course it'll change by you know the tightness of each game but right now Alabama's a buzz saww I'd love to see it all right here are some uh players to watch when we're looking at uh the defense okay so this is the defense and these are some players to watch look I had the the only player that I left out was Malachi Moore and I didn't do it on purpose it's just like I could only fit the guys in the graphics so Malachai Moore you're on this list as well bro I mean I I'll you know add him somehow someway but I think it kind of goes without saying that he's added to the graphic right like I mean he's a captain he played in the most snaps during the game against Western Kentucky Malachi man if you somehow see this I love you bro but uh your brothers I'm just hyping up these guys so here's a look at the Alabama defense and just some guys that really stood out to me based off snap counts stats what I saw during the actual game we'll go left to right Tim Keenan man Freddy roach had a lot of things to say about him today Freddy roach is now the assistant head football coach at the University of Alabama works with the defensive line part of the Nick saan ecosystem played here is built by the University of Alabama he loves Tim Keenan and I do too if you've seen Tim Keenan he's 320 PBS and every single time I get to talk about him I hype him up because I have a lot of respect about his body transformation James Smith might be him and Quay Russo might be the hottest names right now on the defensive side along with Keon sap James Smith had three tackles 26 snaps two pass breakups one quarterback hurry the guy is absolutely fantastic LT Overton my goodness what a transfer Edition this guy plays at a very high level he's trending upward as well and James Smith look at those guys and so what you have in this particular defense is you have two defensive tackles and what they're calling the Bandit position is a guy who's under 300 lb that can get to the quarterback and then you have a wolf position right here in Quay Russo is a guy coming off the edge think about this Quay is 250 lbs he had four total tackles everybody was talking about him you talk about trending topics he's one of them okay then you got these two guys right next to each other the 425 you got the two inside linebackers Deontay Lawson and jiar Campbell look at the snaps they had over combined 80 snaps and they had together 18 tackles man like those are first round guys right there and then in the secondary DeMont Jackson played in 40 snaps they didn't even Target him they didn't go to him one time and I get it TJ Finley was under a lot of stress and um you know he he's not it as a quarterback he's just not they're going to have to Western ky's got to go with the other quarterback in my opinion um but 40 snaps he did a really good job only one tackle and then Keon Sab comes in 42 snaps has two interceptions in the first quarter so th that's kind of the defensive snapshot you'd love to see it man that defense is absolutely ferocious and the thing I like about Coach Kane wack is the fact that he's not satisfied during his Monday press conference going into this next game against South Florida he was like you know we only had one quarterback sack we could have scored on defense um you know we missed on some opportunities I love that he could have been like yeah we're right where we need to be no they're not it's the first game of the season you got to continue to play at that high level and maintain that consistency throughout a gauntlet of a season 16 17 games because that's what it's going to take this year to win a National Title think about that 17 games a college team could play What's the record now like 15 was it Clemson that went 15 and0 and it's two more games on that quality games and you know the schedule is very challenging the back end of Alabama schedule is ultra challenging the front end I mean shoot you saw Vanderbilt beat Virginia Tech South Carolina I think they'll be a little bit better than people anticipate I really do Georgia even this team coming up South South Florida Alex Gish I know the the line is 31 and a half but still you got it you got it one game at a time this a this is a challenging schedule all right players to watch verse South Florida I appreciate you guys being here if you're watching on Bleacher Report or you're watching later on on B football on YouTube either way I appreciate you guys and Bleacher Report I love you I don't know if you guys even see these but I love you so much thank you for allowing me to be here and talk Alabama football I love to do it all right here are some players um to watch for this upcoming game how could I not add Ryan Williams right like I want to see what he does in game two I want to see what he does when he gets his 20 need a snap you imagine the expectations for this dude were so high and he has two catches for two touchdowns if he catches a pass and it's like 10 yards are we going to be upset we're spoiled so spoiled Jaylen milro playing out of this world only 34 snaps 7 to9 200 yards three touchdowns 10 attempts rushing for 79 yards are you not entertained right definitely watching him again what can you do guess what South Florida and Alex a you didn't face Jaylen milro last year you faced Tyler Buckner and you faced Ty Simpson Tai had to come in and save the day in that game I was like just put milro in let's get out of here 17 to3 but last year was last year this year is this year and the game is in Bryant Denny Stadium at safield which are we're going to talk about next Kyle Henderson Batman football on YouTube coming to you on Bleacher Report I appreciate you guys being here every single Wednesday during the month of September I'll be here at 5:00 pm talking Alabama football with you all right we're watching Elijah pritet I don't know if he's going to get the start at left tackle it could be Tyler Booker and it you know maybe he goes and maybe it's goo Vander Market guard I have no idea but I'm watching to see if he can rise up because now is a time to earn that spot and show your team that you are capable accountable look everybody knows what this guy's been through in the off season everybody he's been in the headlines for for a lot of negative reasons we don't have to bring it up here but this is a an opportunity to show growth right to show hey look I'm about the team I can lock in I can perform at a high level because my name has been called and I'm ready to you know just dial in this is a great opportunity for him I I'm eager to see how he rises up if he does get that starting spot pulling for him James Smith man watching him can he continue play at this level if he does I mean he's going to be a wrecking ball in the SEC skyt is the limit for him he I mean his this guy is on a rocket ship and and so is the next guy next to him trending topic Quay Russo those two guys didn't get a lot of notoriety during fall Camp well now here you go can you continue that who's gonna who's going to be the next player to get the to the quarterback Q Rob right now has the only sack on the team Keon sa we're watching you again 42 snaps two picks Pro Football Focus grade 83.9 I think it might be a little bit adjusted so it might be higher than that going into this next game against South Florida who are you watching when you watch this let me know inside the comment box who you're watching this week did I miss somebody I could have added the running backs it's just like every single time I talk about Justice I feel like got to talk about Jam right I really do it's like just you know putting down peanut butter you just can't put that down you got to put the jelly too that's what makes the tandem all right um I appreciate you guys watching if you guys are on YouTube watching uh I got Freddy Roach coming up next along with player highlights uh practice footage um coming up right after this you got some good footage of the defensive line along with interview by Freddy roach talking about the mentality of this team you'll mess around you know you some of like this coaching staff is nice not in a bad way they're just nice like Freddy roach you like he's he's about business I like it all right um so Sabin field there's going to be a dedication ceremony literally it's like a a City Event it's taking place this coming Saturday is there anyone else in this world that has a statue and the Field named after him and they haven't you know like passed on that's what I love about Alabama football here is they're giving roses to someone why they're still here too many times in life do we wait right to say thank you to honor somebody they're doing it right fresh off the retirement by the way coach San looks amazing on college game day he's good at everything he does the only gripe that I have right now is I feel like Miss Terry needs like a little plaque or a little statue something like like that I'm sure they'll make it happen and she's been you know a pivotal part of this whole operation but when I started looking at the numbers and by the way this will take place at the halftime ceremony of the game against South Florida I think the million-dollar ban will play coach sa will be here you know they'll he'll take an airplane I guess from an arbor after game day they'll you know send him on the rocket ship he'll park in Tuscaloosa and they'll you know get him onto the field at halftime right cuz he's got to be there for game day Texas and Michigan who you taking in that game I think I'm taking Texas right a six and a half Point favor at the big house though H look at this seven time national champ sa been field at Brian Denny Stadium that's what's it's officially going to be called 17 years at Bama 28 years coaching six titles at Bama a winning percentage of 806 111 at C titles 21 in two vers top 10 teams 66 all-americans 49 first round draft picks by the way did you see Patrick ceran got absolutely paid what was that like $76 million in guaranteed cash 656 degrees earned 103 master's degrees 13 million dollar distributed throughout the local community here in Tuscaloosa and 21 homes built through habitat of humanity like what's you're going to be your legacy I think those last four five factors say so much I mean the great thing about Coach Sabin is he sat down with those guys and he talked to them about their draft crade come back elevate your stock always talked about the NFL meaning not for long get your college degree get your master's degree always gave back to the community I was talking about this on my early show in the morning by the way if you're W if you're new to my stuff um I'm live every single morning at 9:00 a.m. Central Time Miss Terry spoke about giving and why it's important for her and her family to give back um I love that mentality I I I'm really grateful for what they've done for Tuscaloosa you know I don't live far from a park that they built um it's a playground that Miss Terry built here in Tuscaloosa for disabled children and and it's packed there's all always children there right so things like that stand out along with the national championships I hope you guys have enjoyed the show thank you so much I mean this is we're warming it up this is my first time on Bleacher Report this year I had a really fun time on Bleacher Report last year uh download the app if you're watching on YouTube remember every single Wednesday live at 5:00 a.m. Central Time 5:00 P p.m central time you can come on and talk Alabama football with me I appreciate you guys thank you so much for giving me the platform Bleacher Report if you're back there if you hear me and we'll keep you posted on the health status of Kaden Proctor I I don't think he's going to play no disrespect to South Florida because I I think this is a much better team than Western Kentucky I really do but I think Alabama will handle them either way and you have to have Kaden Proctor healthy whether for Camp Randall or think about it this way today's the 4th you have 24 days before the game against against Georgia so you can get him healthy make sure he's 100% healthy for that big win against Georgia there's a lot on the line on that game there really is I get it it's a early game you can drop you know a game but it's the SEC and there's no more East and West it's about one verse two so they need Kaden Proctor healthy a million per. I appreciate you guys watching I appreciate you guys following Bleacher Report and I appreciate you guys allowing me to talk Alabama football with you be sure and get inside the comment box show your presentation right on Bleacher Report Back to bambo Football on YouTube coming up next you got Freddy roach it's a 10-minute interview he's talking about his defensive line he's talking about his defense this is a guy that's part of Coach sabin's ecosystem him and Robert Gillespie being retained along with uh David Belo Jeff Allen those are Monumental pieces uh that were retained by coach Kaylin dbor these guys are Excell this is a really really good interview uh you got coach Freddy roach he's part of Alabama uh we start with Coach Freddy roach right here it's about 10 minutes get comfortable we did some good things I think what you've seen is the things that guys have worked on throughout the week and throughout Camp all right to put him in position to have some success um obviously there's a lot to to get better at and from week one one if week two that's what you kind of you you expect to happen but you know they did they did good stuff and we got to build on it talked on Monday about guys you had to trust them to be over a certain line to to play a lot of reps on Saturday what did James Smith show throughout camp that y were able to trust yeah I think James has grown up a lot um I think James has taking his game to another level he's worked hard and he's getting what he deserves um you know he come he came in every day throughout camp and he's continued to improve and you know that's good we're we're trying to build depth in that room so several guys can go out and perform but he's done a tremendous job what is the number of defensive line that's the perfect scenario to rotate in that uh you know I'd like to get everybody ready to pay and I think we're as good as our weakest link and those guys have worked hard they done what we asked to do we just got to continue to improve we can't um kind of settle and and be like that and you know the younger guys that's come in they're pushing older guys and older guys are trying to do things to a certain standard so you know we'll we'll take and play as many as we can that's ready to play guys uh a few batted uh passes on the D line uh was there an extra emphasis put on that this year it's not we have actually done that several years now um but you got to understand sometimes when you're rush in three you're not going to always get home and you know we we try to affect the quarterback you know a lot of people talk about sacks and things like that you know if there's a guy open running down the seam or on a wheel route and we bat the ball down that's you know that that takes the air out of him so that's just something else that we work on we've always worked on and we were fortuned to get our hands on some yeah and James Smith I had two of them he did how have you seen his development he's done a great job James has growing up James is working hard and the older guys are bringing him along and look forward to seeing him play for years to come I'm sorry I was going to say South Florida obviously St last year after that game I mean are guys using his motivation kind of how that went or how's that inspiring I think it's the next opportunity we have to continue to grow um they're a good football team they showed us that last year they've done a tremendous job the staff's done a tremendous job but we've got to go out and make it about us you know we've got to do what we're supposed to do to give us the opportunity to be successful there seems to be a conversation around relationships when we talk to players deep relationships that this team has been able to create not just with their teammates but the coaches has that been a point of emphasis throughout this off um I I think that's part of coaching that's kind of the unwritten rule you know when you coach players and demand them to do things a certain way you had to have a relationship with them uh and that's what I've always tried to do and you know it's not and I tell guys all the time this is not a foure relationship this is a lifetime commitment for me it's got to be a lifetime commitment for them and um you know they they've got to respect you and they got to appreciate you and you got to show them you have the back in all circumstances and I I think that's part of coaching hey having a Monumental figure like Nick s being honored this weekend at uh at the stadium with the stadium name came and uh you've uh previously been under him uh I know you spent some time would have been around him a little bit um can you just speak on that what that uh means you from a caching standpoint just as a former player just as somebody that's uh worn those Alabama colors and stuff like that yeah coach sa gave me my first opportunity I'm always grateful for that uh and I've learned a lot from him I kind of started with him uh went away came back went away again and came back so he's always treated me like his own I didn't have the opportunity to play for him but very very grateful for him and he he deserves everything that's going to happen Saturday uh tremendous tremendous coach even a better man and I'm glad to have an opport have been a part of that the zero on the scoreboard of course yeah but uh there were some long drives in there and you go back and look at that were there any uh yeah there was some missed opportunities we got to get off the field on third down um we got to have we got to make it a point to affect the quarterback maybe bat some balls down to help the guys out in the back end um but that's part of growing up U some opportunities that we got to do uh but it was tremendous that we held them and they missed the field goal uh so and I think the effort by Tim Keenan on the fourth down I think it was was really really good so you know just building on that and you know what could we have done to prevent that from happening which is you know that's that's part of football um but you know it's hard to hold anybody to zero whether you're playing a PlayStation game or in the backyard like that that's tough to do so hats off to our guys but you know again we got to prepare this week we got a good team coming in and we got to go see what we can do and also what challenges does a a d great quarterback like you us Vin Brown uh present to your position group and just the Alabama defense overall him just you know just being able to be mobile I know last week's quarterback teamj family was also mobile but just him having a little bit more rounding and stuff like that what challenges that yeah he's a tremendous athlete um obviously he throws the ball really well and he can run the ball really well um he creates plays when things broken down he's got the ability to to um create something and you know it's a challenge for all of us everyone on defense not just my group so again we got to do our job be where we're supposed to be and um you know play as 11 we we can't be individual contractors and that's part of it when you're playing a guy like him all it takes a team to slow him down talked about earlier what is his role in your a leader he's a tremendous guy I mean comes in every day works his butt off and you know had a great season last year he started off the right foot now uh helps the young guys out too I think that's the big part kind of letting them understand what the standard is what is accepted what's not um you know I take 10 of them uh the kids unbelievable and again you know he just it's day in and day out he's consistent in what he does you know you're going to get when you walk in the building and you you're appreciate that as a coach as one of the only coaches on the staff you and and Coach Gillespie that saw USF last year is there anything you've been emphasizing have you no I just think you always got to respect your opponent regardless of who it is um and and that's they're a good ball Club you know they may not be in our conference but they have scholarship players just like we do and they want to go out and win as well so we we've got to do our job and do a good job of it and you know come out ready to play you mentioned that takes a team did you see some of that or a lot of that uh the team work was good yeah I I think we're building you know everything is a process and we're trying to take one step at a time and the guys have done a good job of that and you know it's it's week in and week out this is college football so everyone's got really good players so we're we're trying to jail continue to jail and be better and just grow as a team what's your philosophy been with the rotations on the defensive line and how' you feel about how that went down um you know we're trying to get everybody ready to play I mean I don't think you say he's going to play I mean everybody in that room needs to be able to come play really good football for us I tell those guys the twos need to be like the ones and the threes need to be like the twos and you know if we can improve daily on every guy that's in that room we'll have a chance to be a pretty good unit from what you saw did you feel like the thre played like two I think they did some good things obviously there's always things that you can correct and and do but you know those guys are working towards one common goal and that's be the best they can be coach kind of capitalizing a little bit more on things like turnovers and defensive positions and stuff how do you kind of preach that to your this week has that more of emphasis you know I I think you do talk about it and he makes a good point Point like we have to create takeaways uh give the ball back to our offense and I I think when you're swarming to the ball and and you're aggressive you know good things happen you know I tell guys all the time you run to the ball and play with a great effort you know you create takeaways and uh you know you create your own luck and that's what we're trying to emphasize and that's what we're planning on doing last two questions for James Smith what did you see James has done well man I'm proud of James I told him today I said you make me smile um he's done a really good job he's worked his butt off he's changed his body um you know I'm just looking forward to seeing him develop even more you know everything's a process and day in and day out we're going to work towards that what you like from that I know we talked a bit about LT as well as how they each other yeah those are two good ones now those guys are they've done a really good job they feed all each other Jordan Bernard's also in that group he's done a really good job in Keon Keeley so we got four guys in that position that can push each other and make each other better so again it's just day in and day out and that that's what it's about it's no secret you know that we're not drinking certain Kool-Aid or water it's just we got to work the work is the work that's the big thing coach I'm doing a story on uh Nick s's best games and Ryan Denny and one of them is the 2020 Georgia game just do you do you have a memory from that uh what do you remember about that game um that was a really good game I think what I do remember was there was a wheel route to our sideline and the guy was wide open and Christian barmore batted the ball down which was a huge turn of events um but again this that that play in particular was a good one for us but you know it's they've all been great you know everything he's done has been great I don't think anybody can argue that following that one we got to see him kind of like share a moment with y'all and dance in the the locker room how you know he's had so much success and like how fun is it to kind of like look back at those moments where you got to see him you know outside of maybe a coaching realm and just really kind of share those kind of yeah and I think that I mean he's always said it's about the players um and they work their butt off that game and and every win is hard to come by um I know expectations are you win every game I understand that but you know when you see a group of guys work their butts off throughout the week and have success on Saturday you know that's that's what coaching is about and I think he enjoyed that he's seen that and for him to celebrate with them it was it was different for me to see for sure that's it than all right that was uh coach Freddy roach who assistant head coach now at the University of Alabama now these are highlights in from the University of Alabama from Wednesday's practice you got Jaylen milro at quarterback hooking up uh with Kobe pren be curious to see uh Ryan Williams I mean uh in this second game I mean he's got two touchdown passes off two receptions there the two are uh connecting for a nice deep ball right there man it's amazing he's just 17 years old still freaking me out uh there is Ty Simpson right there and Austin Mack number 10 here's Jaylen Miro hooking up with Danny Lewis Danny Lewis played a lot in this last last game against Western Kentucky you're going to have um coming up some some footage of the defensive lineman as well but you see all the quarterbacks and it was Dylan lonan who was a third team quarterback uh this year and there's Cole Adams right there catching a pass from uh Jaylen milro and milro back to pass right here working with Nick Sheridan behind him hooking up with another tight end across the middle of the field how many yards you think milro throws for in this game against South Florida remember Alex Gish I think he's a little bit confident he's the head football coach for uh South Florida but he didn't face uh Jaylen milroe all right he didn't face him last year remember milro was benched for that game you had Tyler Buckner and Ty Simpson came out with a W in that game there's uh Kobe prentis catching a pass remember he had he led the team he had four receptions for I believe 23 yards in this last game against Western Kentucky there's Ty Simpson airing it out deep and it wow what a catch by Ryan Williams I didn't even see that in the highlights um here are the quarterbacks again uh good shot of all the quarterback I love the quarterback room feel really good about it oh here we go we got Tim Kanan right here you know I'm always Hing him up he's got the really good footwork uh moving in and out uh there's Fredy roach man you know he don't mess around I love that interview you get a taste of that mentality that he brings um LT Overton of course had a really strong showing uh for the University of Alabama um but Tim Kean you know right out of Ramsay right I remember him coming in and the transformation between him and and Jahim Otis man Jim Otis looks great these guys look really fast moving their feet there there's so many guys that they can get rotation in from but I mean look at the footwork these guys are certainly putting in the work um and I hope you guys have enjoyed uh the footage and the interview and everything that we show you right here on Bama football on YouTube uh appreciate you know University of Alabama allowing us to use the footage as well I'm sure you guys follow them there's Jim uh jir and Lam hitting the bag I mean the rotation in and out I I look one of the guys that I'm super excited about is uh here's jonzi Pierre right there hit in the back J Smith man certainly on the rise for sure you guys were talking about him every single time we see James James Smith I mean making plays here's keano Co and um you know more footage and more coverage right here on Bama football on YouTube Quay Russo man absolute monsters on Monsters I love you Fam thank you very much for watching Kyle Anderson bambo football on YouTube catch you at 900 a.m. Central Time on
