MAJOR Titans Injury News: DeAndre Hopkins, Jamal Adams, Caleb Farley, L’Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Awuzie

before we break down the latest Titans injury news coming out of today's training cam practice we are in a like battle again this month with Ravens rundown I'm not going to lie to you we will be at a disadvantage for this but I think we have what it takes to pull out an upset Victory so like today's video and everyone you see here on the channel let's get into some Titans injury news beginning with the big one that is DeAndre Hopkins now we did break this down in a short uh when the news first happened but he is set to miss an estimated four to 6 weeks with a still somewhat undisclosed knee injury like the details of like what exactly happened what it is uh that he suffered in training camp at four to six time or four to six week timeline is noteworthy because it puts his week one status in doubt if he misses around four weeks he could be back out there for week one of the NFL season if it's more like six weeks he's not going to be out there on the bright side it does sound like this knee injury wasn't as bad as it could have been here's what head coach Brian Callahan told media on the Hopkins injury it is not a surgical issue so the timeline could vary on those injuries so we'll be a few weeks probably until he's back and ready to roll Tennessee has a balancing acttion that they need that they need to find a way to figure out because you want Hopkins out there you want to win games these are competitors even in a year that I think is geared more towards first year for Brian Khan retooling a little bit you want to switch G will Levis you'd almost rather not have Hopkins for two weeks to begin the year as an extreme example as opposed to having him back for the first month and he's not quite right and he never recovers then he gets shut down early and now you're not really seeing what you have in Levis as the season goes on knowing with the new coaching staff it's going to take time overall to adjust to things Tennessee does have options in the meantime at wide receiver Calvin Ridley who has had a great training camp by all counts is in line to be wide receiver one Tyler boy is a slot receiver that opens up the number two job at least for this next month or so of training camp that could be trayon Burks he has a real opportunity now to live up to the first round expectation he's probably never going to get there but at least take a big time step forward Nick West Rina he just keeps sticking around somehow he's always hanging around involved at receiver three receiver four whatever and there are other receivers you know maybe Kyle Phillips flashes some of the slot Quan Jackson Mason Kinsey there's pieces on this team that the the uh the bright side of the Hopkins injury now they get more more reps more chances to Showcase what they are able to do but it is a question mark for week one so prediction time at the pin comment of today's show will DeAndre Hopkins play in week one why for yes n for no I'm going to preface a point here as we get to to Jamal Adams stuff this is all speculation okay but Jamal Adams has not been at an open Titans training camp practice since Tuesday now the team has cided rest for all of those I will make note not every practice is open to the public and to Media some of them are closed whatever but this does bring up alarm bells for me we're at over about we're three open practices several days and Adams has not been out there at all that's a lot of rest for a new player that's kind of interesting to me now Look Brian Callahan has been a lot more open with injury than Mike Vel ever was and that's intentional on his part but coaches are a paranoid bunch and if they don't have to release information or if they don't want to release information they don't have to because there's no injury reports here but I just wonder if there is something more going on here with Jamal Adams because I get he's a veteran it's a lot of rest in a row like the odds of him he just wasn't out there again but they B back practice today what wasn't out there I just wonder if there's more than just rest going on with Adams so are you buying my conspiracy theory or are you out do you think Jamal Adams is hurt H for and he played nine games in 2023 a game in 2022 12 in 2021 in 2020 he has not been a healthy football player so I think that's it's worth at least mentioning I think of hey what's what's up there with tackles fighting for that right tackle job jayen Duncan Etc and there will be some Rust to knockof since he missed so much the off season mpf barely played last year by the way he I'm glad he is out there because to be quite honest he needs it he need those he needs those reps he missed too much time last year he's missed too much time so far it's a new coaching staff you're a young player it's really hard to get better when you're just rehabbing you see that time and time again with young players I think that impacted trayon Burks to an extent by the way with all his conditioning issues in in year one in Tennessee mpf was bad last year got to hold off Duncan gotta hold off uh John O joku out a Boise State dark hor of Christian Watson or Jon Christian Leroy Watson that is a battle at right tackle that probably won't be sorted out until probably a month give or take but back out there maybe give him some time in week one of the preseason too so does nichos PA Fier win that starting job at right tackle s for he's going to start B for he will be the backup let's talk should be aier here Brian Callahan said there was no timeline for aer's return from his calf injury that's okay I guess I appreciate the update there all about focusing on getting him good to go until for the regular season because aier is an injury-prone player we have to say it at this point he missed time in 2023 he played half the season in 2022 missed time in 2021 he played half the season in 2020 the reality is for aozi he's good when he's out there he just ain't consistently out there so managing him when you've got other cornerback injuries by the way that we will get to here in a little bit is noteworthy because Caleb Farley is also banged up right now Farley was held out of practice after leaving yesterday it's on Saturday he left with hamstring tightness now sounds minor but I get worried about Caleb Farley in particular I it is a very Tal Ed football player always has I loved him at Virginia Tech and it was a but it was a gamble coming out out of the draft because of all the injury stuff unfortunately for Caleb Farley who I still want to believe in work you guys remember the the guy from SpongeBob who you know every day breaks his he breaks his bones and and is made of uh paper bones and GL or glass bones and paper skin that's kind of Caleb Farley he has missed a ton of time
