Selling My Dream Home : Oklahoma Home Sale Tour

well the title is not misleading in any way I am indeed selling my dream home and it was a very difficult decision for me in fact I um still am having a hard time with it but I thought I'd share with y'all exactly why after spending a bunch of time building an absolute dream home I'm going to sell it I'll take you for a tour of the house I'll tell you how much it is and if you happen to be interested in having it for yourself or an investment property uh for Airbnb or something like that I'll tell you where you can look it up and contact the realtor but first let me explain to you why a guy like me who built his dream home with his own two hands would put it up for sale okay before we go any further built with his own two hands I did a lot of the work myself I hired obviously crews in the motorcycle world if you say you built a new bike by hiring people and ordering parts it's often not acceptable in the homebuilding world however I think it's fairly acceptable the short answer is family that is the short answer as to why I'm selling my home living in Moyers Oklahoma is a dream I love it in Moyers Oklahoma I love the people in Moyers Oklahoma and I just love living out in the country away from things where you're free to live the way you want to live and nobody's going to come give you a hard time about it a lot of things are very easy in moers Oklahoma it's easy to go down to the courthouse it's easy to go to the Department of Motor Vehicle you make friendships and you know the local community and everybody knows your name and you know the bank every place you go in that area people are friendly they know who you are they support you and they'll go out of their way for you in ways you often can't get in the city but the difficult part for my family over the last couple years has been really two part one uh our son Brady he is now turning 12 years old this week and he is playing more and more Sports and he's doing them and enjoying them but the practices are getting more often the games are getting more often and when you live 45 minutes away from where he goes to school every game or practice is 4 hours out of our way by the time we do the gamer practice the travel there the travel back and it's becoming very cumbersome and almost impossible to attend as many of these as I would like and frankly for my wife too and that would be the number one reason I'm selling this house so I can relocate to Texas be closer to my boys schooling sporting and events so I can be a little bit more involved than what I'm able I'm on the road so many months a year as it stands when I come home there's so much to do in a small period of time and it's very difficult to attend as many games as I want and take care of my responsibilities at home the second second reason is my wife uh she works in Paris Texas and has been commuting for the last 7 years an hour each way which doesn't sound like that much but that is 8 hours out of her week an entire day spent traveling back and forth not to mention her entire family lives in Paris Texas so for those reasons we have bought an old 1978 home gutted it to the studs and remodeled it right here in Paris Texas and we are now living in Paris Texas my home in Moyers Oklahoma is sitting empty and after great debate it is time to put it up for sale these are the types of decisions you have to make for your family sometimes and as much as I hated to make this decision truly truly hated it I decided it is the best for my family so without further Ado I'm going to give you a tour of my home uh from past footage I took when I did a little video on it and then I'll give you the information of how much we're selling it for and where you can find the information should you be interested in seeing those details you'll notice we've got some Halloween decor up front but the house is built out of stone and cedar siding going up onto the porch you'll notice we used a lot of Natural Stone that we pulled out of the area and these cedar posts both of these well all three of these posts up front and a couple in back are from trees that were right here on this property uh before we started building the home I used a mixture of stone and and Cedar this is all Live Edge Cedar from uh the tree so this would be the edge of the tree my entire house is built of this Cedar and this is Cedar that we milled on a mill right here on our property the house is a two- stall garage they're not very big garages but they are just big enough to fit a car in this little guy here this is our wellhouse it's just where our well pump is we are in the country and we are most definitely on well water um big bonus no water bill our driveway is just gravel uh lined up with stone all right welcome to the inside of our home first things first all the doors in my house are 8T tall this was something that we really wanted to do to give it really a big open Airy feeling this thing's pretty cool too check it out and this actually opens up to the front yard so you got a view out the front and you can just get a lot of fresh air this is our laundry room just a little mud room washer and dryer a little sink this countertop was actually Mill out of some Oak that we cut down here on the property and uh just a little closet for our stuff a little trapo bench to sit on and store things our shoes go underneath there and through here this goes off into our garage one of the things we really splurged on was Custom Cabinets so all these cabinets in here these are all customade along with the ones in my office this was a neat Edition so this is a fireplace but it goes through both sides on this side of the fireplace we've got a picture of our son Brady a beautiful carving that was given to me by a friend as a housewarmer gift and this mantle again a piece of Oak that we cut and miled ourselves the ceilings are trade so they are they start at 12T but they bump up to all the way up to 14t here in the living room there is a chandelier that I kind of made with a bunch of antlers this is kind of a nice feature that we found it goes alongside of our fridge and it's just our key cabinet so we keep all our keys some flashlights some knickknacks and things in here and it allows us to uh always know where our keys are at but they're good and hidden this is our alarm system it just arms our house checks all the windows all the doors it checks for movement uh it's dialed right into the police it works perfectly for us moving into our kitchen again same guy made all the cabinets in here for us we kind of designed it out uh this beautiful marble top and it's really cool because it's actually got some crystal in it that you can you know actually see from underneath it is a nice Island fits three bench stools this was a major thing here uh that we debated about we went with the eight burner stove in the two oven really has been kind of a nice feature to have I'm glad we did it and again in here all of our countertops our Oak that we miled out with a live Edge on them throughout the entire kitchen and in here is our pantry a neat feature of this pantry is there's no light switch when the door shuts the light goes off when the door opens the light goes on and we've got our pantry another nice little feature is this the pull out trash cans but the pull out cutting board above them so you can do all your cutting on here put your trash down in there it fall WS right down in the trash can moving into the back of the house the uh the back wall a big 12T sliding glass door uh French doors over there and more glass windows over here because out the back overlooks this beautiful Creek through here I'll bring you into the bedroom this is our son's room and then in here is his closet full of toys once you come out of his room you go to the left you've got a pantry and and then of course automatic lights in the bathroom as well his shower you can tell because of toys are down in there coming out of the bathroom into our guest room this would be our guest room overlooks our patio our outdoor kitchen area in the patio you will also notice we didn't do any type of flooring all of our floors are just the concrete slab that our house was poured on and then we stained it and sealed it and uh it works pretty good it stays pretty clean and uh it's really held up really well oh here's another nice feature check this out in here we've got a couple buttons and all of the windows in the house they're all power automatic windows we' just got one more bedroom and that's our bedroom over here just a little bit of a workout area where I can do some morning stretches and stuff when I get out of bed and of course this overlooks that Creek and water little waterfall we got back through our bedroom this door actually goes back to our back patio and our outdoor kitchen and through here is our bathroom this is a tub a soaking tub we've got we each have our own Vanity Vanity for me vanity for her a separate toilet room with the door to close that is super important kind of our walk-in shower here love the rainfall from the ceiling to me that was a big feature and then this is just our closet so it's just a bunch of clothes and shoes and drawers and just a a walk-in closet and I'll show you what our uh outdoor space looks like couple nice chairs to sit over here and really just kind of Overlook and listen to that Creek if you guys listen can you hear it man it sounds beautiful another sitting area down there over here's the outdoor kitchen area where we we can sit with our friends have little fireplace we built a kind of the wood storage underneath it here we've just got an outdoor kitchen a little sink a little Trash some storage to get into the house we've got these uh Power Gates right off the highway you can see it back there again built with wood right off the land and uh those power open and that brings you in and down to my shop and then back around the roundabout there it'll go into my house time to show you my shop all right welcome to my shop I got a big 14ft door there so I can fit full RVs in here and big things like that this is my back deck got a little grill out here little picnic table in here is a little makeshift bathroom it's just a toilet and a sink nothing fancy I hope you enjoyed a
