[Music] Crystal Keith the daughter of Toby Keith has spoken out following her father's passing at the age of 62 she says she is Shattered by his departure in a social media message on Friday February 9th but she also expresses her thanks for all the amazing times they had together even though he had a fantastic job he was even more of a father husband and pop pop in part Crystal Keith writes he was my hero I am so lucky to have had him and so grateful he got to walk me down the aisle and meet my babies she continues that I have years of memories traveling the world as a family I am blessed that I got to spend years traveling on the road and singing on stage with him that I have mountains of video footage and endless Tracks Of Music to watch him on and hear his voice with I'm lucky I got to say goodbye and tell him what he meant to me she continues by mentioning the flood of condolences from peers friends and fans that have been received since Toby Keith passed away after battling stomach cancer since late 2021 adding that it serves as a reminder of how significant he was to so many other people I will forever honor him Crystal States the pain is so unbelievably deep and it feels like I have a literal broken heart but I know that it wouldn't hurt so bad if we didn't love him and get to be loved so deeply by him he never made me wonder if he would be there for me despite her pain she takes comfort in knowing that her late father relied on his faith he made sure to live with Jesus so he could go with Jesus Jesus taking him home is the cherry on top of the life we got to live with him the younger Keith shared a carousel of photos alongside her powerful post showing her father in adorable family moments that are at odds with his tough guy Public Image Crystal Keith is the first daughter from the marriage of Toby Keith and Trisha Lucas she was born on September 30th 1985 although her siblings used used the last name Koval which was Toby's birth last name she chose to use her father's stage name Keith Crystal Keith debuted publicly at the 2004 CMA Awards performing with her famous father they sang Mockingbird together when she was 19 years old and she went on to have a successful singing career on his label showd dog Universal in 2013 she released a self-titled EP followed by her whiskey and Lace album a few months later in 2018 she also released Boulder but in more recent years she stepped out of the spotlight to raise her own family along with her mother Trisha Lucas and his two siblings Shelley and Steen Crystal Faithfully accompanies her father in his battle against stomach cancer unexpectedly Toby Keith's family announced the shocking news that the legend of country music has passed away on February 5th via his personal Instagram account
