Toby Keith's Wife supported him through thick and thin and their marriage stood the test of times but there was this one thing about Keith's musical career that his wife Trisha absolutely hated that was his 2006 album white trash with money Toby spoke about how much his wife hated the album when it was released but why would his wife of more than 20 years who stood by him even when everyone else doubted him could not stand the sight or mention of his new album after all Trisha did support him on his musical Journey much before he became a superstar when the couple was struggling to stay financially afloat in one of his interviews Keith said dozens of people told Trisha you need to go tell your old man to go get a real job it took a strong-hearted and loving woman to say he's good enough at music that I've got to let him try and it'll be a great shot for both of us if he can make it work well the answer lies in where Toby got his album title from in an interview Keith revealed that it was inspired by an argument between his teenage daughter Crystal and another girl the other girl's mother intervened and had some harsh words for the Keith Clan this girl's mother said I don't care who they are they're nothing but white trash with money anyway while Keith's wife was horrified Keith himself was amused and he admitted that he has made a living being white trash he went on to add in the interview I got to laughing about it but my wife was offended I said what's the matter did she strike a nerve I said the shoe fits where we're multi- multi-millionaires because I sing about this very subject all the time we are not one generation removed we're exactly what she said Keith could see the truth in the insult and fine humor in it Trisha on the other hand was livid Toby had been bang in the middle of major controversies leading up to this album he had heated exchanges with some sections of the media on his overtly patriotic stance especially his song Courtesy of the Red White and Blue and was also involved in a very public Feud with the Dix chicks no controversy could shake Trisha's support for her husband but white trash with money was different it was about her about her family and it was personal however this wasn't the only dispute that Keith was dealing with with the release of this album it was born of controversy this was Toby's first release on his own label showd dog records he formed showd dog after his earlier label DreamWorks was acquired by Universal music group and Universal also happened to be the owners of y records a record label Toby had a major falling out with back in 1999 Toby loved to shock people and he did that yet again with the album as he brought in a female producer larri white who tried to soften Keith's approach a little but more than the fans it was Toby's wife who was the most shocked we missed the big dog Daddy and surely if you have watched the video to this point then you do too share your thoughts on him in comments below and please do hit the like And subscribe buttons before you go oh
