Fresno State Football Postgame Press Conference: DE Arron Mosby

i mean first of all uh first question is just something you talked about you know this game you know 38 30 you guys you know um you forced a big fumble there at the end but we just talked about you know just this whole game and especially coming off of last week's emotional victory over ucla um for this game you know i'll just say it was a humbling moment for our team you know coming off a big win you know uh you know you have people pumping you know how your head in the sky and stuff like that and just really you know going into conference play you know everyone wants once uh that title that we have and really just you know adversity and adversity hit and you know like i said it was great to see our team keep out fighting and you know come up with a victory you know personally for you you know you got the big strip sack there in the fourth quarter um you had another uh good defensive stop later on but just what was the defense's mindset you know after half time coming out at halftime especially you know they got that first play off i think with 80 yards on the first play but after that so what was the defense's mindset um really you know just keep playing football you know football is a fourth quarter game and and you know how they came out at halftime you know it hit us again and we're like okay we're gonna have a long day so just us you know our defense mentality will you know just try to get the ball back to that dominant offense that we do have and really you know that forward that that i'm gonna say that strip set you know just perfect time and place for it and and this is what the team needed hey aaron um so this was a lot of rush plays that were led through in this game what was sort of the different offensive style that you guys uh you know probably weren't used to in this week and what was sort of that sort of shift in the fourth quarter where you guys were able to finally lock down um especially someone just like you know williams i was just attacking your guys's defense the entire game i don't really know just just having adjustments you know uh you always obviously got to make uh you know adjustments to your defense and and our coaches did that at halftime and you know i hope it showed and and really you know just the first half you know they they got the best of us and we got the best of them and you know charles you know again props to him he was running hard and you know our defense you know turned it on at the end and perfect time that we needed it but we got to get back to the drawing boards you know we got to get better because you're not we're not supposed to have 100 yards or rushing on our defense so we're going to get ready and what do you say is that mindset or game plan that you guys are trying to do for next week so you don't have another game like this uh you know just take every practice and every rep like like we're playing against a dominant you know or oregon team or a top five team in the nation or something like that so you know just really just take every rep like we're gonna go into a battle and hopefully the rest take care of itself thank you lv's offense played a lot better than what they would be on paper it would indicate um did you expect that uh did they often surprise you guys um you know going into the game we expect everyone to play their best uh you know unlv they they show them their best this game uh hopefully you know them boys you know have a great season the rest of their season but they they obviously came in and they gave us a great great run and we give props to them guys and progress is history more questions for aaron [Music] aaron what did you learn about this team and this defense and its ability to erase an early 14 i think deficit and come back and force a big play at the end uh you know well we had an early in the season against oregon we had a 14th uh i believe it was 14-0 deficit and against oregon so really you know this our defense just the whole team in general just know how to fight and you know sometimes we could bend you know sometimes things don't go your way but like it's a four quarter game and you know hopefully we get our team rolling uh hopefully we can get you know our team to a quick start you know we don't want to go down 14-0 but it just showed our defense and our team that we could keep playing and you know things things hopefully can go our way there's a lot of talk heading into this game about how of course the red wave would need to be for you guys to win it was announced there's 35 000 people out there supporting you guys what's your response to that did you feel their presence out there um i would say me being her fire that was probably the most packed i've seen since probably that 2018 team when we played boise here you know uh just just having them come out you know thank them you know uh hopefully they come out and they are i want to say it's three weeks against nevada you know that's gonna be a big game we're gonna need them here and you know just having their support you know them coming alive in the fourth quarter played a big role and hopefully they can come out in four weeks i believe it's four weeks i'll take one more question for erin [Music] one last tough question for me um you know going to hawaii next week uh next week how do you feel going to the place like that uh you know uh hawaii is it's always a it's a different environment you know i played there i believe two times and you know every time i go there it's a different it's a different environment you know um things it's a roller coaster you know uh hawaii is a whole different time zone it's it's a lot of things that go on when you play over there you know you don't have no fans obviously it's a five hour trip so you got to bring your own energy you know things like that so really you know we're gonna be focusing on you know bringing our own juice and really just hopefully can go there into that hostile environment you know and play play great football and come out with a w thank you
