bmw championship as they've done all these last few years changing the course and a first time course here in wilmington delaware shout out to our guy razor sharp picks even though i think he's on vacation but uh he's a delaware guy i'll touch that in just a second let's touch on last week which was good we swept the board uh fei now came out hot the guy just playing red hot golf under 68 simpson shot over it was only 71 but i thought he was a great fate scottie scheffler didn't play great golf uh but just sniper on the greens 15 of 18 which i'll get into no greens and no fairways this week uh with the shorter fields here for prize picks and lastly will's al tourist the winner shout out to our guy will's outsource but round one not a great driver of the golf ball just got under that didn't think he'd get nine eight of 14 fairways so we cashed both of our uh both of our two packs so uh i was pretty pumped about it needed it on this first round but let's get to a little bit of the should do well here i always talk about it when we get to the end here obviously the chalk seems to win so and i think that's more of it this week with some of the best players in the world rory rom cantley shawflay some of these guys i think will do well uh justin thomas so should be good bent grass like i talked about uh and none of these players really have played here i'll touch on justin thomas i'll touch him when i get to him a little experience here but they've redone the course uh since that 2013. let's get to my first one right here my first two pack of the day Hideki Matsuyama let's get to it hideki matsuyama our guy has you know withdrawn the last couple weeks first a little while ago he had a wrist injury that was bothering him you know now he he dipped out it was his neck maybe it's not as bad but i i just don't want him here uh when i hear a bad wrist other than your back and a bad neck or golfer i'd say that second and third uh the wrist really affects your golf swing after your back and your neck so right here i'm i'm a double up hideki he's even a look for me on birdies and better on match-up bets he's going against keith mitchell i just couldn't get there but if you even want to triple uh throw an extra one on here but first matsuyama this one's difficult how many birdies will be done here obviously no hits it long and straight but i just don't think his head's into you know he just hasn't played um so i'm taking his under four and a half birdies uh i really wish it was five but just for the extra but i'm taking his under four and a half here i just don't think he's ready he hasn't played golf in a few weeks and lastly i'm just going to leave it i thought about separating these two or not but if i'm fading i'm fading them here and i'm taking this over 68 and a half i'm just not buying it well really tall tail because this first round could really give me how easy or hard this golf course is playing so shout out after we do round one here if anyone has any questions because i usually play the next couple days with prize picks but hit me up uh maybe they'll start to go low i've heard five birdies is too much will you will it yield a lot of birdies at this golf course or will it kind of be tough so if you hit it long and straight i think you'll be good but hideki with the injury i just gotta fade him here and take his over 68 and a half let's get to the next two pack before we get on out of here my next two pack in this one is Justin Thomas justin thomas i've taken justin thomas under 68. this one's interesting i looked at a ton of guys because obviously again in this one before we get to 30 in east lake next week there's no cut here and some guys i think do really well shaw flay's always done great no cut it looked at him final rory because even if these guys have a bad first round they can really make up for it and go get it i mean look at zala taurus had a great week came back and won um but yeah with no cut here he's got a little bit he loves these golf courses like this he's long and straight number one on tour tough par fours kind of long but there's gonna be short ones where he can bomb it over 300 and have just a wedge in his hand number one on tour par four no tie for fourth on uh par five scoring for justin thomas and par three he's tied for 18. he's just been money in every category i last week he had t13 at southwind was playing really really well i'm taking him this week to get out hot i think this is a set up golf course for him and taking us under 68 and after in 2013 the palmer cup for amateurs they played at this golf course it was a team event uh when he was an amateur and like i said they've kind of redone the course but he's the lone guy that has a little bit of course history here so maybe that'll work out in his favor so i'm going with jt under 68 in this one and i always talk about strokes and birdies kind of go hand in hand here with prize picks it doesn't always work out but you can always look if he's gonna shoot 68 you gotta think he gets five birdies but he's set at five so i just want to go with the strokes here i think he could shoot four under or better lastly these are the ones i really want to talk about this week because we don't have fairways we don't have greens and regulations is uh the match-up bet here i got sun jm over mark leishman mark leishman just slipped in here the guy has just been kind of borderline all year he hasn't played good golf i took him a few times here with prize picks he didn't play great for me he did have a kind of a a good us open finish but i'm not buying his play lately and sung jm been money 3m open tied for second windham second last week at the fedex he was 12th i think this is an easy match-up win for sun jm i just when he was cold i faded him a lot during the during the summer but man you can't his play right now is just red hot so i think this is a good uh good one for sun jm over mark leishman i think it's kind of a layup and you can look at his you know first round the fir we get with this the first round so much different than round two and three these guys got to be on here when you know round one of this tournament so and with none of these guys have any you know ever played at this golf course so it's a little tough but i think you can take care of leishman next that's our two pack before we get out here i wanted to touch on a couple other matchups that i think i really really like here in this we mentioned matsuyama if i fade in him i just keith mitchell i like him i it just wasn't my favorite it's about fourth or fifth down tony fenel if you want to add to any of these and make it a three pack tony fenow over maverick mcneil mcneely Recap fenow i mean the guy's been red hot he killed it for us last week won a couple times back to back you know nothing against i like maverick benealy but give me fee now over him second john rom we me gokser talked about him i believe he's on him i'm looking at him all of my final bets put out tonight i don't know if i'm going to take him or not but he's over victor hovland we talked about hovland's struggles as of late i think rom takes care of business he's starting to get into form we know he drives it long strong guy and if he gets the putter going i think it's money so first round rama over hoblin and uh yeah that was it my last one mitchell over matsuyama was one i wanted to look at so yeah if you're looking at a few other match-ups um look at those guys those two fee now over mcnally rom over hoblin and maybe mitchell over matsuyama but i like those other bets better and uh anyone watch this hit me up before tomorrow morning if you have any questions on any of these plays um we got to get it through last week was
