WEDNESDAY, THE FBI SEARCHED THE HARLEM HOME OF SCHOOLS CHANCELLOR DAVID BANKS AND HIS FIANCE, FIRST DEPUTY MAYOR SHEENA WRIGHT. HIS BROTHER, DEPUTY MAYOR FOR PUBLIC SAFETY PHILIP BANKS, IS HOME WAS ALSO RAIDED, AS WAS THE HOME OF THE SENIOR ADVISER TO THE MAYOR, TIM PIERSON. THE FBI ALSO SEIZED THE PHONES OF NYPD POLICE COMMISSIONER EDWARD CABAN, UNHEARD OF TO HAVE A POLICE COMMISSIONER'S HOME AND SEARCHED AND ITEMS SEIZED BY FBI AGENTS. >> WE'VE NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE THIS, BUT WHAT IT DOES SAY IS THE MAYOR NEEDS TO FIND ONE THING HE CAN HOLD ON TO VERY QUICKLY, BECAUSE IF NOT, THESE SCANDALS COULD SINK HIM. >> ON THE 6:00 NEWS THURSDAY, THE MAYOR INSISTING HE'S STANDING BY HIS LEADERSHIP AND COOPERATING WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT.
