AND BIANCA PETERS, THANKS SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE. A LOT TO GET TO YOU FIRST. BUT WE ARE FOLLOWING THIS RIGHT NOW. SOME BREAKING NEWS. IT IS A HUGE DAY OF HEADACHES FOR COMMUTERS. EARLIER TODAY A CRASH CAUSED THIS. SO MANY DELAYS, MAJOR DELAYS, EVEN AT THE LINCOLN TUNNEL AND NOW NEW JERSEY TRANSIT COMMUTERS ARE ACTUALLY DEALING WITH ANOTHER ROUND OF ISSUES. MICHELLE ROSS IS LIVE AT PENN STATION WITH THE VERY LATEST ON THIS. MICHELLE >> HI THERE BIANCA. IT'S CURRENTLY CALM HERE IN PENN STATION, BUT THIS WAS ANOTHER NIGHTMARE COMMUTE FOR NEW JERSEY COMMUTERS. NOW, IF YOU WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND THOUGHT AND SAW THE ISSUE SURROUNDING THE LINCOLN TUNNEL AND THOUGHT, I'LL JUST TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO AVOID ALL OF THIS NEW JERSEY TRANSIT THEN SUSPENDED RAIL SERVICE HERE INTO PENN STATION BECAUSE OF WHAT APPEARED TO BE AN OVERHEAD POWER ISSUE. NOW, THIS ALL STARTED AT AROUND 4:00 THIS MORNING BECAUSE OF A MOTORCYCLE CRASH INSIDE THE LINCOLN TUNNEL'S CENTER TUBE. NOW BECAUSE THIS HAPPENED SO EARLY IN THE MORNING, YOU WOULD THINK THERE WOULD BE ENOUGH TIME TO CLEAR IT OUT. BUT THE DRIVER WAS CRITICALLY HURT AND IT DID NOT REOPEN UNTIL 915 THIS MORNING. BUT THE DAMAGE HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE. THE RIPPLE EFFECT STRETCHED TO THE OTHER TUNNELS AND BRIDGES, LIKE THE HOLLAND TUNNEL AND THE GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE, AND DELAYS WERE AT LEAST AN HOUR. AND THEN NEW JERSEY TRANSIT SUSPENDED RAIL SERVICE INTO PENN STATION EARLIER REPORTS SAID IT WAS AN OVERHEAD POWER ISSUE IN THE TUNNEL. COMMUTERS SAY THEY HAVE HAD QUITE THE MORNING. >> I TAKE A BUS FROM RUTHERFORD AND THEN THEY DIVERTED, STUCK IN TRAFFIC INSTEAD INTO THE LINCOLN TUNNEL. THEY TAKE US TO SECAUCUS, THEN THEY TAKE US TO SECAUCUS TO CATCH A TRAIN. THEN THEY SAY THE TRAINS TO PENN STATION IS SHUT DOWN. AFTER THAT, THEY SAID, WE GOT TO GO TO HOBOKEN AND TAKE ANOTHER PATH TRAIN JUST ABOUT TO ENTER THAT TRAIN AND SAID, OH, NOW IT'S OPEN. SO I RUSHED BACK AND THEN TAKE THE TRAIN TO GET HERE 2.5 HOURS. >> IF I WERE TO WORK FROM HOME, I WOULD HAVE HAD 2.5 HOURS WORTH OF WORK DONE ALREADY. SO IT'S VERY FRUSTRATING. I JUST HOPE IT'S DONE BY THE EVENING. >> AND THAT IS THE HOPE FOR NOW. FOR THOSE WHO MUSCLED
