Intro [Music] what's going on Mountaineer Nation welcome back into the Country Roads webcast and here today we're going to have a good bit of fun right now I'm going to take you through the West Virginia football roster at least the initial version of it on college football 25 went through it on the other side my office there that I use for my other channel JC's pop culture where I do some gaming stuff and some movie reviews and stuff like that which check that out if you're a fan of this game I put out a ton of update videos for it and I'm going to be doing some streaming for it and that type of stuff as well on my other channel JC's pop culture so check it out there on YouTube and on Twitch but today I'm going to break it down on the crw channel for you guys our Mountaineer football faithful going to go through this roster piece by piece position by position talk about the overall ratings The you know kind of standout and tangibles that are needed at that position as well and I'm going to go through all the abilities of every West Virginia player that's given on the game of course you'll hear me talk about in the update but there are roster updates coming so you know despite some omissions and stuff hopefully there are players that'll be added down the line and despite some players getting a little bit screwed on their ratings for lack of a better word there um definitely hopefully some of those will change as we get closer to the season starting um but definitely you know keep it locked here about to dive in on this and I'm can guarantee you this is the most detailed breakdown of the West Virginia football roster you can currently get um talking you know all the the intangibles all the abilities everything involved here going through the roster Peace by piece so hope you guys enjoy this all right let's get into Garrett Green a roster breakdown here of the WWE roster on college football 25 obviously you know with top rated players w mil we talked about him being you know in the top 100 R players uh top rated players on offense with top five here Wyatt milum Garrett green Jem white CJ Donaldson and then toas remack and chuay hubard Shar and that rating there not too far off from what I predicted four months ago in my video I put out on the channel previously top five R players on defense Aubrey Burks kakor taru Fator mobba Aiden Garnes and uh TJ crle a Wilson jacobe spells all already the same some questionable ratings on the defensive side we'll get to in a minute let's go through this position by position uh Garrett green obviously very highly rated on the game I was very impressed with his ratings and he's fun to play with on here as well 88 speed 89 acceleration 95 awareness he has good abilities there slight of hand extender pull down a mobile dead ey on the physical Side clearheaded Road dog in winning time for the clutch aspect on the midle side and you see here it's changed directions 86 Ball Carrier Vision 88 85 spin move 88 juke move 78 carrying very good there for a quarterback and he's really fun to play with when you tuck and run or do design runs with him on this game get to his passing stats here 88 throw power 86 on the short throw 87 on the medium 91 on the Deep 9 Throw On The Run 80 under pressure 95 break sack and 87 play action then we see Nico pretty good rating for him as well with the 78 overall gets the DOT physical ability so pretty accurate on his passes 75 speed 80 acceleration you see him obviously the more strong of the runners 68 Trucking 64 stiff arm not it's the same on the spin and juke move you see a little bit more of the power type Runner there 73 break tackle and we go here to the throw power he has the highest throw power of the West Virginia quarterbacks actually with 93 87 on the short 83 on the medium 86 on the Deep ball got to love how Garrett's uh deep deep balls you know one of the best parts of his game and it's the best part of his accuracy on this game as well so they did a good job with that 83 throw on the run for Nico 80 throw Under Pressure 67 break sack 78 play action and then rounding out we have Ryder Burton the new transfer in from BYU he has the physical ability of step step up and then we have khil Wilkins did get put on the roster there the Freshman 74 speed uh 77 agility 81 acceleration uh they hav't right-handed though believe he's the Lefty if I'm not mistaken and then we do get Scott Keane one of the Walk-Ons making the roster there 58 overall one thing you're going to see as we go through this and I'll point this out is there are several WWE scholarship players that didn't quite get on here yet some of those being because they're true freshman or their transfers so they're going to be added at a later date and then some of those may have just not opted in and hopefully that changes and they choose to do so and can be added in later on because there are a couple omissions that are kind of uh glaring I guess you can say but let's move on here to running backs where we talked about Jem and CJ both being 8 4 overall so both given good love there Jem 91 speed probably personally may have had that a little bit higher but the 94 acceleration really does a great job of offsetting that and he is uh fun to play with and hard for people to catch on the game with his speed and his uh spin move his juke move all that 85 break tackle 89 change direction 90 ball carer Vision both those very good see he has the 360 physical ability H really makes a spin move even tougher to defend uh to go along with it 86 rating 85 on the juke move 88 caring and then we go here to uh CJ 87 speed 88 acceleration 82 strength 85 break tackle 90 Trucking uh 83 change direction 87 ball Vision 90 stiff arm is spit and juke move not as high as Jem so obviously you know you're run with CJ you want to utilize the truck stick you want to utilize the stiff arm whereas Jem you can Juke you can spin a little bit more uh better on the carrying for CJ do with the 95 and then another important rating here especially for running backs in this game is toughness both pretty good in that area 89 for Jem 88 for CJ Johnson and that's because of the wear and tear feature on this game CJ as you see his physical abilities there head first and armar then we get Jaylen Anderson with the 76 overall 88 speed 91 acceleration Trayvon dunar does make the roster one of the Freshman there 67 overall 89 speed 93 acceleration but we are missing Dior hubard still yet another freshman that's not on there yet Colin MC B one of the the Walk-Ons that makes the roster here as the lone fullback listed at 73 overall for the Mountaineers there WRs then moving on to wide receiver here Hudson Clement oh hudy tutty the highest rated receiver on the game with the 81 overall 86 speed 80 acceleration could have been a little bit higher on the speed maybe but they did show him a lot of love here in the catching Department 86 catching 89 short Route 86 medium 88 deep rout 86 catching traffic 87 spectacular catch 87 release and 83 jumping then Justin Robinson one of the transfers in from Mississippi State the next rated there at 78 90 speed uh Jaden Bray 77 90 speed 92 acceleration very good change of direction for uh him with the 92 and we see some of their catch ratings here um 83 for Justin Robinson 79 for Jaden Bray both in the 70s on the short medium and deep uh pretty good on catching traffic and spectacular catch for both 88 jumping for Jaden Bray is nice there as well tayin Ray with 76 overall just below them 990 speed for him as well then Preston Fox similar overall 76 there let's check out their catching stats here surprised Preston's catching is that low but he has the pretty high on the short route running pretty high in medium and you see the spectacular catch release and jumping there Rodney gallager sh a lot I love with the 94 jumping let's talk about his ratings now that's the best of his catch ratings um 72 overall for Rodney a little bit low in my opinion speed definitely low at 88 with only 90 acceleration that's something that hopefully changes in the future but they did give him good ratings on the change of Direction the ball Currier Vision the juke move and the spin move very high he see by far the highest of the receivers uh there with those so that's good to see him give him a love on that department he's going to be fun to use still yet be better with some higher speed but still fun on those jet touch passes the reverses things like that Jerel Williams 70 overall and then we get these two freshman here and we're missing Dom Collins but that's someone that's going to be added in the future um I spoke to his brother or his brother you know let me know that he is going to be added in one of the future roster updates probably not the first roster updates probably going to be the one that they do right before the start of the season but he is supposed to be on here at that point but looking at DayDay farmer and Kean Robinson speed you got to think Dom Collins is going to be at least a 95 maybe a 96 Plus on the speed because DayDay farmer shown great love with 94 speed 95 acceleration kesan Robinson the West Virginia native 95 speed 93 acceleration both those guys shooting great speed great change of Direction both good guys to use in the return game potentially on here and then we get another walk on the May the roster CJ Cole at 56 overall there moving on to the tight ends where we have one of those glaring omissions I was talking about a couple of them really one of them just because you know like I talked about with freshman and transfers not on here yet hopefully we'll be in the future that being Greg joll but the biggest you know I guess player that didn't opt in apparently for West Virginia Cole Taylor a glaring a mission on this roster not here hate to not have him on here but because of that you will see you know when some players aren't on the roster they will have to add fictional players so they've done that with this Quinton Hinton and the Garett Morton that are on the roster in the place of those two but we do get trayon Davis on here 78 overall uh physical abilities of pocket Shield quick drop outside shield and second level uh then we get TJ Johnson who made the roster at 68 overall will Dixon at 68 overall uh true freshman Jacks Marco who's here in the spring on here at 65 overall and how about Austin Brinkman making the roster do get the Long Snapper on here but of course Long Snapper not a position on the game unfortunately so they have to list him at tight end there that's why it's overall so low but you know we're talking about one of the best long Snappers in the country there in Austin Brinkman left tackle we mentioned Wyatt uh top 100 player in the game 90 overall but one thing we didn't get to see when they came out with those and he's also an impact player you see the star there above his name beside his picture same went for Garrett green he was also an impact player on the offensive side 91 pass block for Wyatt 90 pass block Power 92 finesse 87 run block 89 run block power 85 finesse 8 six lead block 89 impact blocking for him and then behind him we have Johnny Williams the red shirt freshman coaching staff's high on 70 overall and Lucas Austin true freshman at 68 overall Thomas remac good ratings for him 82 overall physical ability strong grip one of the stronger players on the roster with the 95 strength there look at some of his ratings here and we will see 84 pass block 86 pass block power 81 finesse 81 run block 80 run block power 80 run block finesse 76 lead and 86 80 impact block then behind him we get S Weedman at 75 overall and one of the Walk-Ons Bryce bigs at 69 overall there then at the center position of Brandon Yates 80 overall uh he's got the pocket Shield physical ability Landon Livingston at 76 he's got option shield and outside shield on physical abilities and then Kyle Al tuner with a 70 overall which is pretty good for a freshman actually there you guys know I'm high on him so good rating for him jqu Hub Shar is that 82 overall rating so both of West Virginia's guards Thomas remack and jqu hubard with the 82 overall Mo Hamilton Big Mo there at 74 Cooper Young The Freshman there at 68 and then a right tackle interesting how they did this one here uh actually given Xavier Bosley the ratings advantage over Nick Malone we know that's going to be a nice position battle going on there for that starting right tackle spot and you'll see here really um when you look at it as far as their blocking is concerned uh Nick Malone kind of a little bit better in the past block department and then run blocking Department definitely Xavier Bosley with a big Edge there um a little bit higher on the lead blocking impact blocking as well and then you get another freshman the coaching staff's high on and Nick Cay there rounding out the offensive line with the right tackle spot at 66 overall so let take a look at the defense now uh one of the severely underrated players Shawn Martin Bluefields very known shout out to blue blue Field's very own excuse me shout out to Bluefield High School go beavers 77 overall there uh for him a little bit low little bit low TJ Jackson 76 overall transferred in um from Troy actually and he is you know one of the higher rated transfers West Virginia got when we're talking PFF rating anyway 76 for him 72 for Zachariah Keith one of the freshmen uh Makai berson a true freshman 67 overall and EJ kinler at 65 overall then we go to right end here this is where you're going to see the guys that actually you know play the now spur position formerly known as the Bandit position on the West Virginia roster they are listed here Tyron Bradley and Ty French both pretty high ratings there 78 overall for Ty Bradley 77 for Tai French you see Tai French with a better advantage on the speed 79 speed 89 acceleration good acceleration his speed might be should be into the 80s even though as you see him 80 changes Direction there as well and the quick jump physical ability is going to help with the pass rush there Tor Simmons not far behind with the 75 overall and one of the higher rated recruits in last year's class of bean wuka was here for the spring he get a 68 overall there and good speeding acceleration for him as well the 78 and 87 respectively defensive tackle foror mobba up one of the higher rated defensive players we mentioned 82 overall 92 strength advv another one that's a little bit low there steady Edie as I like to call him 77 overall Hamond Russell at 73 assani Redwood here as well at 71 then you get one of those fictional players that's filling in here like I mentioned at this tight end position here's another one that they've had to create and then you get Nate Gabriel one of the Freshman that was here on campus for the spring at 65 overall uh Ricky Williams a true freshman the only left outside linebacker listed when we get into the linebackers here this is where we really get into some questionable ratings probably the most questionable ratings for me is's some of these a linebacker and one specifically a cornerback we'll talk about momentarily but we get true freshman Ricky Williams the left outside linebacker then we get into the middle this is one at linebacker I was talking about Josiah trer the 71 come on man that's one that's going to Skyrocket when the season starts for sure he's made slightly below B cutters who's a 73 uh actually the same rating as former walk-on now scholarship player Kaden boser does Josiah troter have uh but you see here they do actually have um some decent coverage ratings especially uh Ben cutter with the 72 Z coverage for a linebacker that's pretty good uh tackling uh they did show you know some love to ji trer in that department 84 82 um right there so not too bad there uh but you know hopefully that rating increases like I said they're all roster updates coming didn't mean to switch to Western Kentucky there there are roster updates coming guys um once this game uh gets closer to the actual football season they're going to update these rosters so hopefully we'll see some of these ratings change and some of these players that aren't in hopefully we'll be in in the future uh right outside linebacker we get Reed carico and Trey lean having the same rating Trey lean a little bit low again in my opinion I think he should be probably at least to 80 but hey what can you do there but how about Reed Caro showing some love on the speed here 85 speed 94 acceleration one of the higher acceleration ratings on West Virginia roster actually uh so you get that there but when we come here we do see um you see the tackling the ratings there but when we look here man coverage and Zone coverage 79 Zone coverage for Tre Le and that's extremely high Zone coverage for a linebacker so that is something they did at least show him love on in that aspect and then we get jof reris rounding out the right outside linebackers with good speed as well as to be expected a former defensive back 87 speed 93 acceleration 67 overall and CBs then we get into the corners here and this is where we'll talk about maybe the worst rating for a West Virginia player on the game that's you know a little bit egregious uh of course you'll see it on down the line here but kakor taru 82 overall actually the highest rated corner but we know he's actually going to be playing safety primarily for the Mountaineers so I'm sure that'll change on a future update but for now he's the Corners highest rated Corner 82 overall Aiden Garnes uh really good rating there 80 overall 91 speed 90 acceleration uh you see the house call ability for K taru and the blanket coverage ability for Aiden Garns and we'll look at some of the ratings here as as well uh 84 man coverage for Aiden gares very good 83 Zone coverage good balance there and then 82 man coverage and 85 Zone coverage for kakur taru and then next up we have TJ Crandle and jacobe spells both sharing that 79 overall spells shown some good love on the speed 91 speed 94 acceleration Dantes Fagan the transfer in from Charlotte at 75 overall Jordan Jackson the Retro freshman at 73 overall and here it is the glaring maybe the worst first rating the player that got screwed the most on these ratings is Garnett Hollis why is he a 72 he's you know been proven in the Big 10 now coming over to West Virginia the ra him is 72 don't understand that one that's one that hopefully on a future updates got to change he's got to be up there you know if crle and spells are 79 Garnet Hall I mean Aiden gar is 80 Garnet Hall has got to be around that same rating I would think um and then if we look here um we see 84 speed 87 acceleration uh but we do get Jacob Boyce here one of the freshman on the roster 67 overall good speed for him 90 94 on the acceleration and then one of those other you know madeup players the fictional players here on the roster there let's sort these Corners let's see who has the best man coverage who has the best Zone coverage out of our cornerbacks here Aiden gn's the highest in man coverage at 84 highest in zone coverage kakor taru the best press coverage actually TJ Crandle and jacobe spells not far behind they did give garet Halls a good press coverage rating at least so we do have that as far as cornerbacks are concerned let me sort this back by overall as we get to our Safeties safeties Aubrey Burks shown great love here highest rated player on defense also you see the star beside his picture and impact player as well 87 overall 88 speed 92 acceleration then you get Josiah Jackson with the 74 overall uh Jason cross 70 overall and then here you get one of these fictional players this is another glaring om Mission you know if Cole Taylor's the biggest glaring o mission on offense I think on defense the biggest glaring of mission Jem Joseph the other transfer from Northwestern not currently on the West Virginia roster either like I said hopefully that changes in a future update but for now you know because of some of these players missing because of some of the ratings being a little bit lower than they should in some aspects West Virginia's defense not very highly regarded in this game 76 overall West Virginia goes 82 overall rating as a team 82 offensive rating is a team and then 76 defensive rating is a team uh some of that because of some players missing some of that because of some of the lower overalls but let's see um our free safeties here and like I said we'll have a kakor was a safety hopefully by the time the season starts Aubrey Burke's by far the best in man coverage and by far the best in zone coverage as well uh next best being Josiah Jackson in both of those categories as you see there and then let's get to our strong Strong Safeties safeties here Anthony Wilson 79 overall the best rated there Raley Collins 74 we know that Raleigh Collins Z Jennings and um Aubrey Burks actually probably going to probably really play the spear but only two safety positions listed on the roster on college football 25 so they got to factor him in somewhere uh but you get U Avery Willcox another walk- on that made the game at 70 overall Z Jennings at 69 a little bit low in my opinion I think he's going to be one of the true freshman that makes an impact this year he's going to get some reps at the spear spot but decent love on the speed and acceleration 8891 then Aiden Nelson rounds sou the safeties with the 65 overall let's look at the coverage Coverage Strengths strengths here on our strong safeties the best man coverage strong safeties actually Avery Willcox Riley Collins next Anthony Wilson not showed much love in the man coverage Department same rating as true freshman Z Jennings but he was shown Good Love In the Zone coverage Department 79 there on the Zone coverage and he was gifted The Ball Hawk ability Raley Colin's the best at press coverage out of the safeties then let's get to Specialists Strengths our Specialists here Michael Hayes obviously on there and they do get another walk-on RJ koshen on the roster as well another one of West Virginia's Walk-Ons that did make this roster and when we look here kick power 87 for Hayes 85 for koshen 75 for accuracy Hayes and 78 for koshen and then our board olly was given some really good ratings here as well Oli straw 80 overall and you see uh a couple abilities they all go through the the whole roster and we'll talk about all the abilities for the West Virginia players momentarily but kick Power 90 for oi 92 kick accuracy let's go back to the full list here and let's sort this Intangibles by some intangibles the fastest player in West Virginia's roster currently actually kesan Robinson then you get DayDay farmer Jordan Jackson Jason cross Jem white obviously up there jacobe spells Aiden GS up there as well and then also rounding out the 90 speeds for West Virginia Jacob Boyce Justin Robinson Jaden Bray and then the madeup player there Tron Ray and then let's go here the most agile player in W roster Kean Robinson as well surprisingly they really showed him a lot of love and speed agility acceleration same for DayDay farmer next up uh then Jordan Jackson the madeup player there Jaden Bray jacobe spells Jacob Boyce Aubrey Burks Aiden gar Jem white I think should be in the lead at least the 90s of agility personally that's my opinion but then acceleration he's up there as well so is DayDay farmer so you know when you look at this DayDay farmer and kab Robinson maybe guys you want to use as your turn man on this game with their speed agility acceleration Jem white 94 acceleration up there near the top um weer like I said one of the highest accelerations on the on the west Vira roster actually surprisingly uh good to see him get that love on those ratings highest awareness Garrett green Wyatt milm no surprise there Aubrey Burks highest Wess on defense best break tackle CJ and Jem tied there highest Trucking rating obviously goes to CJ best change of Direction keesan Robinson Jordan Jackson DayDay farmer Jaden Bray Jem white at 89 I think his change of directions got a get up there a little bit but I guess they couldn't you know make it too high because they had him at 84 overall already as a sophomore that's someone that when you play Dynasty you get into the final years he's going to be you know 90 plus Ball Carrier Vision Jim White the best on the roster Garrett green second best on the roster 88 um so those are kind of some of the intangibles highest juke move on the roster Garrett green 88 uh riding Gall right behind 86 then Jem white 85 best spin move Jem white r Gallagher close by Garett green right there so both those those are your three kind of players with the spin juke move Jim Rodney and Garrett green rightfully so highest carrying CJ Donaldson best catching on the roster actually TJ Johnson at tight end surprisingly followed by Hoodie then will will Dixon at tight end Justin Robinson RG3 Trin Ray best short route running Hudson Clement best medium route running Hudson Clement best deep route Hudson best catch in traffic you get a tire from hudy tutty and Justin Robinson spectacular catch goes the same best release Justin Robinson best jumping ability on the roster actually Jason cross Day Day farmer keesan Robinson and ronne Gallagher tied there so there's some intangibles there and now let's go back let's sort this by overall again and let's look at some of the abilities in case I didn't Point any of these out Wyatt milum has the physical abilities of pocket Shield play action Shield wear down mental abilities of team player clearheaded and Road dog uh Garrett green we mentioned slight of hand extender pull down mobile dead on physical clearheaded Road dog and winning time on the other side surprised Aubrey Burks doesn't have any abilities here being an impact player being one of the highest rated players on the west virin roster and the highest rated defensive player surprised there hopefully that changes in the future mention Jem White's 360 ability CJ Donaldson has head first and armar both you know physical running abilities there strong grip for Thomas remac on the offensive line house call for kakor taru maybe get some pick sixes with him on this one Hudson Clement has the Press Pro physical ability the cutter physical ability the double dip and sure hands Oli straw has the ability to flip the field and coffin corner of course pocket Shield ability for Brandon Yates blanket coverage for Aiden gar think that's fitting that's a guy that I'm really excited about and then we get Ball Hawk for ant Wilson good to see that there trayon Davis with the pocket Shield ability the quick drop ability outside shield and the ability to get to the second level when blocking Justin Robinson has the Press Pro ability and sure hands Nico we mentioned has the dot ability which is good for a quarterback to have t French with the quick jump ability double dip for Preston Fox on the physical side Landon Livingston a sophomore with a couple abilities option shield and outside Shield none for TR a and that's unfortunate we Caro with the quick jump ability as well uh take down ability for torus Simmons step up for Ryder Burton so all three of West's top quarterbacks with some physical abilities is nice to see quick drop uh that's one of the madeup players not worried about that another madeup player not even going to focus on that drel Williams does get the mental ability fan favorite winning time and best friend is that rounds out the abilities there for West Virginia I believe uh you see the bottom players in the roster here mainly walk- on safe for atin bringman and we talked about why he's so low rated because he has to be listed as a tight end there so there you have it West Virginia's roster in pretty great detail know this video ran a little long but wanted to be sure to get you guys as much detail as I could here and hopefully you know if you haven't played the game this what your whistle till you get a chance to and you can see what some of wut's ratings are like I said subject to change there will be roster updates hopefully some of these freshmen that are on here Dom Collins you know Dior hubard Etc get added in the future and then some of the transfers as well Greg General Al Jem Joseph and hopefully we get Cole Taylor in the future seems like he didn't opt in maybe that'll change in the future but roster updates coming hopefully they fix some of the ratings for West Virginia on the defensive side I'm looking at you know Trey lean Josiah troter Garnet Hollis specifically definitely got to get those up but uh future roster of hopefully change those so maybe you know looking at this wilker orue to get in the game if you weren't previously you know some other fun things Mount of near field super accurate Recreation you know you get coine or turnover helmet I put a clip out that on my social media and really gar green and Jem white are a lot of fun to play with on this game with the way they rated them so hats off to EA for at least getting that right and uh there it is the roster breakdown for ww's roster on college football 25 all right so there you have it mountainer Nation our first look at the initial WWE football roster in college football 25 and guys I can't you know stress enough this game is incredible 10 out of 10 I think it's the best football video game ever made and it's going to be you know one of the best sports games ever made as as well maybe it's definitely up there for me being the big college football fan I am being the big WWE football fan I am just like you are as well if you're watching this video so definitely check it out if you haven't already get it when the Standard Edition comes out on Friday is right now it's just the early release for the deluxe edition but definitely wanted to provide that detailed look at West Virginia's roster for you guys and I hope you all
