Eagles Players Stock Up, Down & Unchanged | Preseason Win vs Ravens | Updated Depth Chart

Intro [Music] no what is going on everybody thank you for tuning in to another edition of on the road to Victory I am your host Jimmy Smith and I hope you're all having yourselves a fantastic little Saturday a beautiful day out actually nice little change from all this damn rain we've been getting but we're here today on this beautiful weekend to talk about our Birds we start the preseason off with a w we got to talk about it before the game after the game lot of excitement for this team I still feel this is a roster built to win a Super Bowl so we got to stay healthy we got to get everything on the same page with the coordinators uh dude all of the above and you know I've seen some people freaking out they didn't you know see any you know eccentric plays on offense or defense I don't know if this first time watching preseason but you're gonna have a lot of vanilla stuff a lot of things going on where you're trying to figure out who some of these starters are who some of these de pieces are so it's a learning lesson a glorified practice um but look we'll keep learning throughout these next 27 days before we get to game one against the Packers let's go but I appreciate you all taking the time here love to hear your thoughts on this game we're going to talk about some of these players stock up down unchanged with some of these guys and then an updated look at the dude uh I'm having a good one it's been a a nice day so far but uh it's been nice not having work that is the one key here but uh that having you know a Friday night it was like oh such a tough work week and then ending it with the Eagles just a cherry on top man and uh hey we got that W what a great win you know Patrick Johnson coming with a strip sack and then Jake Elliott getting a little Redemption so I enjoyed the hell out of it man that's exactly how I wanted to start my weekend but uh yeah man I love to see Patrick Johnson we talked about him before the game would he make a play to you know solidify himself as that sixth Edge guy that you know can help as an you know he's a versatile piece that can help off ball he can also help you as a special teams Ace so I thought he did great there loved to see it so let's talk about some of these players and take a Gander at where I've got their Stacks now I almost went and tried to add every single fing player that played yesterday but um some of these guys it's just man I'm not going to talk about some of these backend wide receivers things like that the names I put on here wanted to talk about so let's get right into it man and unchanged let me explain this here so will Shipley you know had the touchdown had some tough runs but you guys know exactly how I felt about him before the draft the same goes for Johnny Wilson I think they can contribute to this team they don't have to necessarily right away but you know Johnny Wilson obviously you know you're hopeful for his development we talked about giving him a little time but in this offense needing a wide receiver three we'll see when Paris Campbell is healthy you know what he does but Johnny Wilson may be dependent on but I I'm still very high on he and Shipley Tyler Steen I'm still unchanged there I I feel a little concerned about the injury um I thought he did a lot better than some people are talking about today um yeah he didn't start the game that's you know not always great but you know giving beckton a shot with the starter seeing how he does how he holds up you know don't always take you know take everything with a grain of salt we'll say that but uh Steen I still feel you know Step It Up Show what you've got here man and I thought he did a couple of plays yesterday I thought he did well uh Kenny gainwell he looked well in the brief moment he had Fred Johnson continues to show why he should be the backup left tackle Grant calcatera looks like he'll be tight end two just needs to keep improving want to see his rapport with Jaylen Herz and not just him as the number one Target because we know Kenny Pickett's just you know been eyes on him all damn offseason so take it with the grain of salt still a little unchanged though I want to see more from him uh but Britain cvy uh still a little unchanged there I'm not I still think he can make this roster because he's such a great returner but I want to see him helping out as a receiver don't know that saw too much I I thought he improved so uh we could say stock up but I want to save that for you know guys that really I thought raise their stock Tanner mcke um I thought with better receivers he would have done better I think you know next game he'll get a chance with the twos get a chance to see what he does um but take again everything with a grain of salt here Kenny picket I know was dinking and Duncan there um but I thought Tanner mcke looked good I thought you know again a young kid that's developing we'll see if he can you know take that job from pick it but I don't know if that's going to happen now zoma I still feel a little concerned about him I'm unchange there where I I don't know that he is more than you know tight end three and I don't even know if he's that but I don't know that anybody else wants to step up and take the job so we'll see but John Ross I still don't think he makes his team and I think he showed that yesterday um going up you know not going up for the ball there on that one play I think just kind of showed you look he's got a lot of speed but doesn't have all the other things you need to be a receiver now looking at the defensive side of the ball you know quinan Mitchell man almost had had that interception I thought he you know is showing why he was the best corner in this draft he will be in my opinion the starting nickel corner he Isaiah Rogers Darius Slay so excited there but Kaylee Ringo you know he's on their heels here man and he's showing that in some of these packages the dime packages you know maybe he gets some time there um but Ringo part of the future here and I'm excited about him I thought he did well um and you know jayx hun for me this is all unchanged because you guys know how I feel about all these guys right and uh Jay for if you don't I'm trying to explain it as briefly as I can but jayx H you know I'm probably the only person that wanted him in the draft and look I've been very high on him and I think people are getting to see why that speed and athleticism former safety somebody that I think is going to ball out here but he gets to be that fifth guy in the rotation so you don't have to depend on him he gets to develop behind Brandon Graham Nolan Smith you know and obviously the starter sweat and huff but a nice rotation there Tyler Hall continues to confuse me because he's got a lot of talent but I don't know with a crowded room if he's going to do anything and I thought I saw some nice things and then I saw some things where I was like damn it made a couple mistakes there miss tackles and just bad plays on the ball so I thought you know still not seeing anything where I can move him up Nolan Smith I thought you know still showing he will develop um but needs to continue to develop uh did good against you know some of these backend guys but is he going to be able to do the same thing against the starters and I think with time he will and he's bulking up he's doing exactly what we needed him to do so for me he's unchanged he's not up or down I I'm still excited about Nolan Smith's future same for Moro ojomo I got both those guys making this team easily and uh I'm excited to see uh Zack Bon I know you know like we didn't want him to be the starter you wanted Dean but like he's been showing out in Camp but you know yesterday you got to take everything with a grain of salt so you can't really you know tell what's going on but there were times where I thought he should be doing certain things um but again it's a vanilla defense we're trying not to get too caught up with it but I think Bon and Dean that battle somebody really needs to you know figure out what's going on there uh vonte Maddox still feel his versatility um I don't know man maybe somebody with these younger safeties wants to step it up and take that job but I'm still kind of on the fence here that you get a guy that can help you as a nickel corner but also a safety but if he continues to struggle um I'm not sure man but the move to safety may be great for him we'll see Marlin 2 below to um I want to see more from him I want him to prove he wants to be on this roster or Gabe Hall we'll see uh Jake Elliott man um I know some people you know they make the joke like hey cut him you know obviously people freak out about everything it's fine uh Jake Elliot I don't like that though I don't but I'm not going to put stock up or I mean stock down for him so I look I'm indifferent to it get that stuff out in the preseason that's when you want to see those stupid mistakes and he redeemed himself right at the end won the game so just hold on to that moment and go from there now let's talk about Stock Down some of the stock down here and I didn't want to go too hard on anybody um you know but these are some guys that I wanted to talk about anas Smith you know for me look I've already explained this I wanted this kid in the draft but as I mentioned then he'll be somewhat of a project on this team he should get some play time though so if you can't come out here and look he's been injured so unfortunately you know those things do matter um but I'm trying not to knock the kid but I think that a little bit down for him just due to the fact that you know he had some return opportunities he he needs to show up here and look I think once he gets healthy gets acclimated you can't give up on him I'm seeing people say cut him we're not going to do that but I don't know that he's going to be you know playing over Johnny Wilson or Paris Campbell here so not right away at least so needs some time to develop and well he got a stock down and the same goes for Kenny picket who I've seen some people saying oh we had a great game this that look dinkin and Duncan in a preseason game okay um I'm not giving anything there I think I'm putting stock down because I think he allowed the door to be open for Tanner mcke but then again we traded for him former first round pick I think he's going to be the backup now EJ Jenkins that drop didn't like that Alberto these tight ends man I've been talking about it somebody needs to step it up they are not doing that so h stock down for these guys U maybe Armani Rogers he'll get AC commanded to this team we'll see more from him um we'll see but the old line look when you got guys like Hennessy sharping Gates playing at the end of the game not good man um that should be for the young men and uh these guys they need to prove something we need some kind of depth here and uh well uh I don't think that the Eagles are too excited with anybody that's why we keep adding so we'll see and then Bradberry man I love that he you know said he wanted to go to safety he's trying to do his thing but I just think he's not shining there he's not going to be anything special but versatility maybe helps some veteran leadership I don't know maybe uh he continues to learn the position but uh for me I entually think that he could find his way out the door with my reasoning being some of these other guys stock going up so that's where I have it with the guys that are unchanged the guys that um you know I have stock down but let's look at the guys that I have you know stock up for maybe it'll make a little more sense for you but yo my man let's go appreciate you tuning in dude and uh I needed it too it was a beautiful start to the weekend Doyal M mango Birds but I'm pumped up here and uh yeah man uh Brett Toth we talk about you know his versatility somebody that continues to learn the game so I mean under Jeff Stalin anything as possible so let's Stock Up talk about some of these guys with their stock up and Brett to being one of those names and mcky beckon you know getting that start and then you know resting that's a good sign not having to play too much so maybe he gets that Right Guard job after all Daren Canard I thought you're playing you know the whole game that's a good sign they want to see what you got if you can hold it up if you can be that versus little depth piece that we need that could play tackle play guard and Daren Canard I think as we've talked about could be a nice surprise Kevin folch I thought he looked pretty good so maybe he beats out some of these other back backend tight ends but probably only going to keep three so we shall see if he could beat out a zoma or what happens there Trevor Keegan I thought looked pretty damn good started the game at left guard and you know I I thought overall had a pretty damn good game so I was excited to see that and you know if you look at like a PFF kind of thing they'll tell you Max sharping was the best guy now to me I'm watching that he's going against guys that have never played in the NFL going up against fourth stringers you know fifth stringers whatever but I thought Keegan you know getting in there against the Ravens you know and again it's not all starters and it's a lot of vanilla stuff but thought he held a Zone was impressed by him and then Brett Toth uh showing that he is that backup but a guy that can play center guard and Tackle last year we talked about what he make the roster you know he's somebody that's been off and on the roster practice squad you know and he continues to learn and he continues to be liked by stoutland so maybe he continues to get better and maybe he is that backup that we need that can provide you know multiple position versatility but then you got a guy like Dylan McMahon who can play guard can play center and that's somebody that you know I thought looked good yesterday and I think that that's great because you drafted him you want to you know try to hold on to your own there and you'll see with my depth chart here move some things around and um that that'll be nice if he and to can continue to battle it out for the backup center and they both can help it guard so that's great Lou Nichols Tyrion Davis Bryon hell um you know Kendall Milton I thought did well too I did have him on here and um to try to even things out I just took him off because look we're talking about backend stuff and I think you know it's great when you're leading the team in stats like John Ross but I don't care about that stuff man um Lou Nichols I thought was a tough Runner we talk about I doubt we even keep four but if we would I think Lou Nichols would be that guy I think he showed you yesterday why Tyrion Davis price though I thought ran well also dude so these guys fighting and Kendall Milton all of them I thought it was awesome dude so very excited there then on defense man Patrick Johnson we talked about him before the game I guess I wanted to leave out the H but uh dude he was awesome um at the end of the game there and he's been continuing to develop and we've talked about his versatility and why he could make this team and uh it was pretty cool see him make that play after we talked about him yesterday um Ben vanan you know continues to show with his athleticism helping on special teams you know I I really like this kid and you got to worry about releasing some of these guys waving them you know when you cut down to 53 because they can be claimed by someone else so van Su making it tough um n Kobe Dean I thought he played well I really love to see that uh Jeremiah troter Jr I don't know how his name got down there further at the bottom but I thought he played well this stuff got all jacked up I was trying to do this quick I apologize but troter Dean and Devon white when he was in there and then when he was talking on the sidelines I wanted to add him because I thought you know looking like a leader looking like he wants to be a part of a Super Bowl winning team and that's what I'm all about but these linebackers are all looking like they want to battle it out and I'm all about it man teron Jackson he looked pretty damn good out there too I thought you know he played well but again we're looking at the competition but that's great news for him stock up Tristan molum I thought he was balling out really like to see that from the safeties Andre Sam wasn't too bad either so look man if one of these guys want to step it up that'd be great so we don't have to have Bradberry or Maddox back there we'll we'll see though uh what happens at safety now PJ muster I thought he did decent as well that's somebody that I think practice squad hopeful but uh showing that keeping a nose tackle around isn't such a bad idea but I want to show you my new depth chart now move some things around after finally getting to see these guys and we're going to talk about you you know where I have these guys placed and how they have them playing and where I think things will end up but yo my man appreciate you tuning in Dylan having a great day a beautiful sunny day hope you're enjoying your weekend I'm enjoying the day off uh we're going to spend some time with the family here going to be eating here shortly but wanted to talk some birds with you all and uh my pleasure my friend and uh yeah man he can do it all which is really cool and he's been off and on this team for Years bro so um I'm a fan of Toth as a practice squad help you know helpful guy that brings versatility you like to see that right so uh yeah man um not saying it's a great position to be in though that that's where my you've heard me talk about my biggest concerns are offensive line you know depth and what's going to happen at R guard and then tight end depth and then of course the safety position so offensive line is still uh concerning to me that Brett Toth is you know your answer there because obviously you could have someone like Landon Dickerson play there instead of Dylan McMahon or Brett Toth if somewhere to happen in a game but then you got to move somebody to guard is that Keegan is it Gard you know so these are the questions we're looking to answer and well let's take a look at this dep chart and try to get some of those um you guys have any other Depth Chart comments questions get it in here I'll be rolling out after this depth chart but you can see the key at the bottom there anyone in kelly green with the white ring are the rookies then you see green new to the team red injured players you will see that throughout this depth chart but these are the guys that are on list um you've got McCollin castles and Clark you will not see them you will see Sydney Brown and Cooper de jeene but just so you know what lists Offensive Line they're on now on the offensive side of the ball you can see I didn't move picking and mcke still gotta prove it but I put Nicholls there with Shipley Shipley's gonna be that third guy I've explained that over and over again he is who we were hopeful Kenny gainwell would be still like Kenny but um adds a nice dimension of competition here pumped about it wide receivers you could see that got cvy in front of an IAS Smith I think that Smith you know is going to have to continue to show what he's got still think he makes this squad but um you know he's a slot guy and uh I would put him over Joseph n but he's not an outside receiver now and I just don't see that happening right now for him now tight end you could see calcatera and aoma and then I mean it's a crap show back there so we'll see if any of these backend guys want to step it up you can see the offensive line I've got beckon in there now Steen you got to win your job back man and I'm still hopeful for you brother but but you got to go out and prove it so maybe me moving you off this will do something for you but I got Toth back there behind Jurgens Dylan McMahon behind him um sharping Hennessy Gates Again not great that these interior guys are you know not playing and they don't like what they see from Hennessy at Center not liking what I'm seeing from Gates or these other guys sharping played well yesterday but um again against the level of competition it is what it is but you know Fred Johnson I think is locked in as the backup left tackle I like like what Keegan brings Steen and beckon can battle at Al Canard so I think we do have decent depth here but um I don't know bring on Jason Kelce back maybe but uh that's what I got for the offense there and then on the defense um not sure what I moved around really um other than the linebackers you got Dean and troter as the backups there um moved a couple things around here but you could see look deene Sydney Brown they're banged up so they will have those jobs but um if any of these backend guys want to step it up go right ahead I don't think I moved any of these starters or anything but um Nolan Smith and Brandon Graham backing up huff and sweat with jayx hunt Patrick Johnson I'm I'm pretty damn excited about this rotation man and you know the interior guys with the Joo to belu behind him I think this is going to be a much better defense than people are trying to give him credit for and um that's fine I've heard people oh defense sucks it's like bro it's preseason game try to simmer down because go watch that video a lot of things are coming your way but um defense is going to be fun to watch I promise you we're figuring out who the depth pieces are some starters maybe we'll make a trade maybe we'll sign somebody add to that safety position but Special Teams we shall see now finishing us up here is the special teams and got Elliot man levado and then now that we have the ability you know you're putting two kick returners back there with these new rules whipped up a little new depth chart piece for the Special Teams here so you can see cvy Ni Smith Sean Stevens Z's the returners nice Smith that a few returns yesterday not so great but he can kick return as well if you need him to Rogers and Shipley were back there Rogers didn't have any returns but Shipley did Kenny gamewell out of return you've got guys like Campbell Tyler Hall John Ross who can do it we'll see if they get the opportunity in a game to return any of these but you've got some competition there you've got some depth I like our returners and I like the dep we have there so got a lot of these guys like Smith and gamewell Campbell making this team don't think Ross makes the team Hall not so sure and Sean Stevens I'd like to see on the practice squad but at least it gives you some options here in the return game and if you know Rogers is starting a corner maybe you don't want to use him there at kick returner so a guy like gainwell or Smith somebody wants to step it up I'm all about it baby so uh hair's falling out whing out here freaking out but yo um that's all I've got for you here today uh wanted to make this a quick one and not much man and uh I didn't get to notice him either and I wanted to say that at the end of the video If you guys notice anything anybody I didn't mention you wanted to talk about I can look it up try to find out um the snap count here who was actually playing who wasn't because you know some of these guys were out uh meant to bring that list of course didn't do that I hate when I Rush these things but um let's see here real quick G all played on seven snaps that's why you really didn't see much out of them but some of these younger guys will get more refs in the you know two later Outro games you'll see it in the uh joint practices and stuff because you know you're trying to figure out depth as well we were actually looking at some of our starters on defense so I like that some of these younger guys you know are going to be getting more reps let's knock off some of that rust let's get some of these young guys ready for a long season so man um was overall pumped up it's preseason again we're not going to know until week one what's really going on but this is where you find out do we need to trade sign someone whatever it may be and I'll continue to work on shows like that that I feel you know I think after the second game I'll put together something where it's like who we could trade for sign things like that that I if I feel concerned about somewhere right now still figuring things out I think we're all right offensive line tight end and safety though still my concerns so I haven't changed anything other than that don't think that how's ever done cooking always in the kitchen so you guys are watching this later you
