Intro [Music] no what is going on everybody thank you for tuning in to another edition of on the road to Victory I am your host Jimmy Smith and I hope you're all having yourselves a great Monday appreciate you guys taking the time here look I told you this weekend wanted to have a little live Q&A for you guys and um my apologies for things just getting wild but put out as much content the signings all the things that were going down the news you needed to know but I wanted to give you a little bit of time here got about 15 20 minutes so I want to open it up to you guys got a little something in the mailbag here and we're going to talk about some things so whatever's on your mind though you are feel feel free to get it in this is a live show so anything you got and you're watching this later you want to chime in love to hear from you appreciate you guys hitting that like button sharing subscribing all the stuff you're doing support the channel let's jump right into this baby we are 18 days away from week one and still a lot of question marks still you know people losing their minds about certain things that seem to be normal some things people seem to be normal about that should be losing their minds I just there's so much fun that goes into what we like to call sicko season so it's about to commence here um 18 days away and look um we're going to look at the depth chart we're going to talk about some things here got a little something I want to talk about here Nina appreciate you getting that in so let's talk about some of these things first and foremost I saw something along the lines that Isaiah Rogers could be a starter for the Eagles like this is news to me that no one knew this dude was the starting Corner next to Darius SLE I thought we were all on the same page there I thought that was just kind of known and then the third was probably quinan Mitchell and I thought we were beyond that at least but apparently there's some confusion that Kaylee Ringo should be starting um I mean you guys have heard me on this show uh how I feel about that situation I think Kaye Ringo takes over for Darius leay eventually um but right now it's going to be Rogers slay and then quinan Mitchell and you've got guys like Cooper de jeene waiting in the wings and Kaye Ringo for the future so I'm excited there I I don't think that's an issue I don't think that's a problem Isaiah Rogers has a one-year deal hopeful that he gets a long-term deal I'm hopeful he gets a long-term deal I think people are going to find out who he is I've seen some talk oh he's only 5'9 he can't do this can't do that yeah he's heard that his whole life that's fine um one of the best corners in the league a couple years ago when he was playing and you know he's got a little chip on his shoulder now and he knows he messed up and he's doing all he can to make things right and he's in a great situation here so I think he's going to go out and shine man and you know even if he weren't starting the dude's got return capability so just wait till he gets his first pick six or does something crazy with the ball in his hands you will see why I've been so excited about this dude for almost a year now August of last year we signed him you know who the hell and I know people were a little confused I was ecstatic if you guys remember and I have just been chomping at the bit to get this dude into this starting lineup and he has proven you know everything I have heard and everything I've been able to see and you know I just thought it was pretty clear that this dude was definitely solidifying the fact that we thought he was the corner that was starting opposite you know SLE and I have not changed that stance the entire time this off season so I don't let the media get you worked up don't let people freaking out like it means nothing that people want Kaye Ringo that's great um I want to win I don't care about feelings I don't care and you know people well that's why Isaiah Rogers is play he's playing because he's better um just to let you know and going up against guys like Devonte Smith AJ Brown that's only going to make you better so for me sky's the limit for him and I can't wait to see what he does but I seeing that confusion was really blow my mind when I got off work today I was like what the what is going I'm excited and I thought we all knew that but you sickos know so that's all that matters but thought that was pretty funny a good evening to you Tiffany hope you are doing well Mario my man appreciate you tuning in we got Lil in here Michael yo let's go appreciate each and every one of you taking the time here let's get this party started so whatever you guys got on your mind what kind of questions you have we have 18 days left so you got a starting position battle you're wondering about depth piece somebody not making the 53 had my 53 out uh yesterday posted it again today with a like change I think I put Sterns on IR like I said I was going to um look we've talked about bringing jayen Mills back possibly maybe trying to make a trade for someone like a Buddha Baker Jaylen Thompson so many names out there that we've talked about that you know I think are still possibilities if this Eagles team wants to improve and I would love to get certain people back and do things like that but let's get into what nah had to Jaylen Mills say here and want to touch upon her topic here so her comment here cdy Brown coming up back will help the safety room and yes we all know that cannot wait we don't know though if that's going to be before the season starts or four week after so if he's on that pup list that's what he'll miss and that'll be unfortunate but uh he's got a bright future here very excited for him then you talk about Bradberry she says is not a safety and I could not agree more we have talked about this look I love it that's great for him going out there realizing I'm not going to be making it as a corner on this team let me give safety a shot he's giving it a shot great for him don't think it's going to work out now the only reason it's working out is because the fact that we don't have any damn safey everybody's hurt CJ Gardner Johnson finally just came back in a limited capacity City Brown on the pup list son K Sterns but he's been banged up so we gotta wait for him to get healthy so you've got Reed blanket chip Tristan McCollum Andre Sam just got rid of maai Gardner so open roster spot is there I think Jaylen Mills could be back I wouldn't be against that a nice versatile depth piece we talk about versatile guys that can play that nickel Corner can play safety and he's not going to be playing nickel corner here but having that versatile skill set that understanding of the game is going to help you as a safety in vic fangio's defense so I think for me I'm not against it I I know he's a little bit older I'm not relying on him to be a starting safety here but if they want somebody that they think can maybe help bring him in for the next couple of weeks let's see what he does and you know if Tristan McCollum or Andre Sam is showing him up then they make this roster if Kaden Stern's able to get healthy and he can show him up then so be it but I am not against adding competition here with 18 days left to go because this just because in 18 days you know oh that's uh you know the first week I still think for me you're going to be changing your roster even within that week you're going to be changing your roster the next week and the next and the next and the next there's always things going down so just keep that in mind man it's always a like just revolving door with a lot of these guys in the practice squad things like that so you just have to realize you know it's a week by week thing and you know some of these moves will be made to try to keep some of these young guys stashed away that there's going to be a lot that goes down and I'll do my best to you know try to break it all down but let's just stay patient here let's get pumped up about this team regardless of you know the negative things that we can point at there's always something negative you can find but all of the positive we've talked about is the reason I'm so hopeful for this team that can get over these bumpy roads and getting these new coordinators new players all on the same page so I'm excited here man ready to rock and roll uh third wide out and you know that's um you know a great question we talked about the wide receiver 3 by committee and Paris Campbell finally just returned to practice so that's great but you've got Campbell you've got Britain cvy you've got annias Smith and Johnny Wilson and I'm hopeful for Wilson and Smith in the future you got to keep developing them they're young so I didn't want to have to rely on them right away you were hopeful Paris Campbell you know the Rapport he was having with Herz that looked great so maybe if he's healthy and cvy you know that would be okay but at the same time I talked about this I would much prefer a guy that is interchangeable that can play inside can play outside can do both because when you have someone like that then Devonte Smith AJ Brown they can you know then play in the slot play outside you can move guys around you don't have to strict you know just have these little guys like cvy and Campbell in the slot so to me there's still a lot of possibilities we've talked about John meie since last year even more loaded room now at the Texans so you know maybe he's available maybe there's some guys and I think that hoe is definitely on the phone and I I think you know tight end is a position I keep mentioning offensive line depth I have talked about for months is a concern for me still is a concern for me so depth at the offensive line backup tight ends talking about wide receiver three safety I still think that work could be done but I'm also not sitting here saying like everybody has to be an all pro you got to do this but there are some concerns for me so I understand that wide receiver three questioning I'm not against it at all and it appears Hershel's got a lot of thoughts on that uh because he just keeps going so okay but uh yeah man I definitely think hoe could definitely be on the phones there and uh yeah he posted a picture of his jersey so yeah we've you know talking about Mills here and I I think you know I'm still not against that what's going on my man appreciate you tuning in St what do you think starts the opposite spot waai and how long well we talk about that that's going to be niobe Dean and troter will be you know uh in the future he'll be a starter but he won't be this year you know I have Devon white and Zack Bon here so gonna be exciting to see but I still think white and Dean will get it locked up but you know Bond becomes that versatile chess piece that you can use who can play off ball can play Edge he is fantastic and love Trotter's future he ain't going anywhere but uh yeah he is here for the future so when the media starts posting about how everybody sucks and we got to fire hoe because all the rookies aren't starting just remember the're rookies and as much as we love them and are excited to see them you know kicking ass against fourth stringers we have to remember we got to develop a lot of these guys and when they have starters that are better than them in front of them those starters are going to play and you know you see it every year media getting confused how football works but you know hopefully this year they start catching on we finally you know year four running this defense and the media finally switched you know to what defense we run and you see I I just saw a fans saying today oh I was losing and Madden because they had you know sweat and huff as outside linebackers Edge rushers and that's not what they play and that is exactly what they play um that's literally what they play and what reic played inste of Huff this will be year four now um not sure where people get this information from uh but I would assume the same people that are pissed off and saying Kaye Ringo should start so I don't know man uh wild times wild times for living in I wish I wish somebody would trade for them but I'm not sure how that's going to happen uh yeah just answer that for you there uh so yo appreciate you tuning in man and no doubt my friend enjoy and uh hope you guys have a relaxing day I'm G to try to relax a little bit here tonight um another super long day tomorrow it's going to be tough but um I'm ready for it it rained all day it was just soaking wet all day itself but um ready to rock and roll I'm ready for you know we got a few days here preseason game is until Saturday this week so no Friday or Thursday but we'll have uh stuff leading up to it I'll be talking about my projected 53 because then it is on Tuesday next Tuesday so we've got eight days and it'll be roster cutdowns August 27th is the roster cutdown period we will know all the people that are cut this that the other thing and I think I'll be doing my fantasy draft at the link that day so those son of a [ __ ] but I'll try to take some videos maybe go live while I'm there get let you guys see the inside look of some of those sweets pretty nuts uh going there for the draft definitely looking forward to it this year but man if you guys have anything else uh feel free to throw my way I'm gonna show you my depth chart here so maybe I'll answer some of your questions but keep them coming great Defense questions so far you guys know the injury list we talked about this cannot wait for Sydney Brown to come off of that bu list but until that moment uh still a little concerned so uh let's just jump right to the defense let's talk about them first um anyone in Orange was limited in practice the other day Sunday um I guess yesterday Jesus uh and then red they miss practice so that's what that the colors are about green they're new to the team the white outline they are rookies you get it so look um if you're looking for my 53 that video is out yesterday go check that out but any questions you have I'll try to answer them for you but you can see here um you know as I mentioned the safety position with the injuries makes it concerning for me I I think avonte will make this team as that guy that can help you at safety and Corner that versatility helps you know molum can play that too so could Sam and Bradberry I just don't I don't see it man I would like Sterns to get healthy that'd be nice see what he has the jeene huge part of the future with Ringo Ricks I think could make this squad over job talk about those linebackers man uh very excited about those guys um I think Dean will win that job back and you know throughout Camp we've talked about this I think that for me and you guys saw it on that projected it's a projected 53 with my projected dep chart so you saw noobe Dean was my starter with white and I just think that's you know how it's going to pan out I know at practice Bon is you know getting most of the ones but that's just how I see it going this is listed as how they're playing so that's how you get it but this defense man the fact that they finally listened to me and started doing the depth chart like this this is what it should have looked like this is year four of me trying to show them this depth chart but hey what do I know um but you can see here man lot of excitement for this defense I'm ready to run through some effing walls and then on offense we talked about it tight elf behind Gard love to see EJ Jenkins take that job for zoma I have him as the third tight end but if he's hurt maybe get stash on IR I'm not sure but uh still looking for a little help there would love to see somebody step it up but hey maybe they will during the regular season the offensive line dep with steam banged up Beck's going to be all right Dickerson's fine but dude anything happens as much as I like some of these younger guys in the depth we have get a little concern there and I totally get it with the wide receiver three I think Paris Campbell you know he gets a lot of slack for last year and I get it he had a crappy year but dude he played for the Giants I mean Daniel Jones is atrocious and I mean dude come on let's give him a break here so I think in this system with guys like Devonte and AJ around him really open things up for him and if cvy continues to develop as a receiver I'm excited there too so yeah man going to be some fun decision making uh I can't wait to see but when you're a guy like cvy you could bring return capability uh that could definitely help you so look uh Competition competition to be had and it's going to be really tough the next 18 days we talked about it during that 53 man roster projection show I did where you know I didn't know I wanted to put Thomas Booker on there I wanted to put Tristan molum on there and I think I had had you know Sterns on there but I said you know maybe go on ir and if he's not going to be here and I think that might happen so maybe that opens it up for mcum or maybe Booker or dude it's gonna be nuts and that's what I'm all about competition dude iron sharpens iron and they're out here kicking each other's asses and making each other better that's all we could ask for right so don't let the media get you man don't I I see it every time I get off work and I'm just like I better make a show uh people just do everything to you know to clickbait it's this day and age unfortunately and they know people are going to get riled up about dumb stuff so it is what it is man you guys know you come here I'm going to give you it straight man and right now I'm giving it to you straight this team is winning the Super Bowl I still feel Jaylen Herz will win MVP they can make up whatever narratives they need but they'll be on board very soon I can promise you congrats appreciate you turning in go Birds think anyone will drop player pick up and yeah man that's what we talk about here every day you know um as I mentioned every day for the last few weeks just keep in mind every time someone says about adding someone doing this we don't necessarily have to go out and get a Justin Simmons as I said what if there's a young guy that they liked in this draft that doesn't make a squad maybe there's a veteran that gets cut because some young guy made the squad there's going to be players available dude there are 37 players getting cut from every team in the next few weeks here so you're going to have lots of players available they're going to look to add and that's what I was saying earlier in the show there is you know going to be a roster turnover there's going to be things happening all the time dude just all the time guys coming back in practice squad guys moving here this that and I will keep you up to date with all of it but it's so funny each year it's like we sign someone in the practice squad every week or move somebody here do something be like ask this team signing guys to the BR squad on best and it's like dude this is literally how it works every year I don't understand it and you guys see that stuff I know you do and it's like weird man but you know we'll be dropping some players and other teams will pick them up we're going to be pissed off right because sometimes you you risk it with for the biscuit when you're letting somebody go and they get picked up by somebody so we'll see if any teams get bold we can take someone or you know maybe we make a trade with someone because you know some other guy they want to make the team somewhere so just patient as I've been saying every single day you know Michael that is literally the key here just stay patient lots of players going to be available nothing to lose our minds about the media is just piss that people are excited and I'm going to keep keep pushing the positivity and keep pushing the faith in my Birds because that's just how I feel and until they're all on board I'll keep pushing it and a good evening to you hope you're doing well know trying to bring him on board with her or Howie or anything and that's okay that's okay I don't mind standing against the crowd because well the crowd's usually full of morons so let's be real here I have seen all the slander this offseason I've seen every narrative they try to push and I've laughed in their faces every effing time I I promise you they're all going to be huge fans of Isaiah Rogers Bryce hu Devin white I mean everybody trust me Quin Mitchell Cooper to G Jaylen Carter Jordan Davis keep sleeping on Milton Williams all those guys that's fine that is perfectly fine please do you don't know who jayx hon is oh you will go watch my pre-draft videos what you can learn about him you can learn about will Shipley annias Smith Johnny Wilson well seven of our nine draft picks but they can keep talking about which guy likes great popsicles I don't know whatever I guess they find interesting but I'm good on all that right so uh let's go and uh Bad Times yeah man it's pretty bad times out there uh you know you hear he's been hurt his whole career guy didn't miss a single game in college last year was literally his first time starting gets hurt came back too early then he's B suck I just that stuff kills me bro you guys know I can't stand that stuff losing my mind bro um oh yeah you know I've been body bagging them all day long well I've been doing it since last year when I try to teach them what a nose tackle is what their role is why you know being double teamed more than anyone and then still having a top 10 pass rush win rate uh Run Stop win rate is really good but now what do I what do I know uh but dude they follow the these narratives and they just continue to show and I don't understand why people love that stuff like I don't and I it's fine um I guess that's what people you know pay money for and get clicks to more power to him man um oh dude they're they're uh they're never see that's the thing people are very vocal about what I don't know or you know how much this team sucks all the time all the time and they tell me oh and then you know with Jaylen Herz with Hoy with every single one of them where do you think those people go they block me they're they're is an [ __ ] he told me exactly how this stuff works and I try to tell him well Elliot sure Parks told me and he laughed at me well I'm always going to if you start off with any kind of Dan Silo ESP kind of [ __ ] so that's just how it goes I believe in the truth in these parts and that is the complete opposite in those parts so no thank you and uh hey look man and they are dude and you know I don't understand why people feed off of negativity so much like we have a crappy world as it is you know there's all kinds the horrible things football's my Escape I love my Eagles and yeah they'll torture me on Sundays and Mondays and Thursdays and well Fridays now so whatever dude I don't care I still love them and it's something that you know there's Family Ties to it there's just so much more than just the game but look let people be negative as you know they're saying in these parts let them keep hating I'll keep educating dude they can sit here Let People Be Negative and try to tell me what they want but they're usually gonna end up looking pretty dumb uh that's just and that's not me trying to toot anything I'm just that's just how it's been for years and it's weird because you know my channel doesn't grow because I guess the facts are not wanted uh people get upset and that's okay man if you're offended by the truth then you probably want to work on some things at home uh not be worrying about football um but dude I I I don't really care we're gonna see this season I don't think we're gonna have to deal with those whiny people too long and you will the first couple of weeks because maybe the defense has you know some miscommunication or the off or something goes look there's new coordinators new players things aren't going to be you know perfect week one week two week three you're going to work on those things and hope that you know at least by mid-season you're clicking on all cylinders you got things going you're not falling backwards like you did last year right so you just progress each week you learn you get better and you get better and I promise you that team that I see is going to do that and you know I've mapped this out for you all off season what we needed to do in free agency the draft they went out did all those things so that's why I'm confident I'll stick to my guns and you know when all these things keep happen oh who's Jay son who's jayen Carter it's like bro we've been trying to teach you guys for years how this stuff works why this defense needs a no stackle why we need to do like basic things that I thought I wouldn't have to teach the media but apparently dude uh yikes uh I did not have him on there as you saw yesterday Tiffany but um yeah you know I like him big fan of him uh they're going to find out they're going to find out for sure they uh been trying to talk slander and I've been already seeing people flipflop don't worry man I promise you they will all be the biggest I've actually been aan since I was a kid well McNab actually you know the color green they will they will tell you every story in the world and that's it's beautiful you'll be the biggest Eagles fans ever I promise dude watch uh but ladies and gentlemen I gotta get rolling I love each and every one of you appreciate all of you tuning in and uh look um and uh here I am always and I never go anywhere so been advanc since Wilber Montgomery and hair that's what I'm talking about baby and uh you know my dad my grandfather I was lucky enough to be told so many stories like before I was even really able to breathe to be honest with you you know it just kind of ingrained when you're brought into it you truly bleed green and I'm not saying you can't bleed green if you're not born I'm just saying you know somebody that it's four for four and it's every damn thing to us and um I was blessed to have great stories great memories from them and uh you know those players are you know favorites of mine and I never even watch them live you know but it's really cool you know I have all like the books and the DVDs and videos growing up just I'm obsessed with the Eagles like I want to know everything and learn everything and it just kind of you know feels like I still have that connection with my dad and stuff it's I know you guys understand it it's truly you know it's family here man and um it's crazy dude meeting Harold carmichel I remember just being like holy [ __ ] dude like my dad would so it's it's cool man I love my birds and I'm glad that you sickos you die hards you're tuning in here because you know for years I've been trying to just find fans like you guys I I just I I have enough dude this disease sucks my life get gets turned upside down sometimes and I just like to be able to come home spend some time with my family make a video spend time with this family you know be able to find some peace in life and uh this is my Escape so you sickos keep tuning in man I'm going to keep doing my best to counteract all that negativity and misinformation out there we'll get everybody on board sooner rather than later but if you're watching this later or maybe you're watching now you ever do anything and he's the worst dog and all I say here was just try to show them and you keep hearing this oh he's gonna have a comeback there's no comeback dog he was kicking ass last year this team sucked and everything around it was on fire and the dude kept kicking ass so don't listen to them L I'm telling you this dude he's going to continue doing better and better because he's still a young quarterback so these narratives that oh he's finally getting good it's like dog he's been getting better every year I don't know what they're watching what they're talking about but a lot of it's that hate for being so wrong about him and I tried to teach them but it is what it is uh yeah yeah you always want good coaching definitely want good coaching but ladies and gentlemen all I've
