This Devin White update for the Eagles is UNBELIEVABLE...

Intro what's up guys how we doing Wednesday obviously we had the Tuesday night hangout but had to hop on here because you guys see it and obviously it's uh very well aware by now but Devin white is out versus the Packers so apologize to if I sound a little bit weird funny I'm dealing with an upper respiratory thing uh but like I say we got news so had to hop on here um not a full time for a video or anything so kind of a rapid fire of what's going on but in case you missed it uh yes Devon white we've got the injury report the Eagles released it before the flight so he's Devin White OUT vs Packers not going to Brazil but Devon white out with the ankle injury uh Isaiah Rogers with a hand limited practice I'm not sure if he's going to miss that if Q's going to be the one in uh shout out to everybody in the chat there what's up how's it going but it's it's a you know not good news obviously but the fact that he's not going to be traveling with the team okay not good something that's like to keep an eye on but then I think that the next bit of news is a little bit more telling a little bit more shocking I I I didn't expect to see this going to get people's thoughts um going to give mine as well also quickly shout out to the sponsor of the Philly special show the official sponsor of the Philly special show Underdog fantasy if you have not already use the link in the description or in the comments uh to get up to $1,000 in bonus cash uh there's an incredible line by the way on that one for saquon Barkley uh rushing yards 64 a half for the game on Friday night he's definitely going over so you could take that one Jaylen Herz is going to be a free I believe a free Square on Friday so uh get that in but quick shout out there like I say the next bit of news here is uh or the tweet I should say is a little bit Nakobe Dean beat out Devin White for starting job? unusual uh so there's Jeff mlan right Devon white not traveling with the team like I said Miss Friday night's game due ankle injury but it's this second tweet here that I'm like I don't know I'm not sure about this like so Jeff says ncoe Dean was slated to be the eagle starting Mike linebacker before the team listed Devon white on the injury report Tuesday NFL sources said Dean beat white out in training camp it's unclear that what role the Eagles had for white if any on defense uh and then it says yeah nevertheless uh let's see let me give it that that one back on here yeah nevertheless he wasn't on the plane when the team departed for Brazil this morning so there you go was not on the plane uh with Devin white there though like did he did he beat him out or we legit believing that it was a a a sure noobe had a better preseason but noobe didn't get the first team reps like how many times were we seeing that you've got Devon white out there and he's getting every single first team rep he's the guy that's who they go with talk about Devon white and how he looked and how he was talking he talked like the first string linebacker he got every sing Single first team rep he was the leader supposedly the defense had the accountability group chat with uh or group text with I think Jaylen Herz and AJ Brown so it's View as the leaders of the defense leaders of the team and yet I guess he wasn't going to start already before the injury so that just kind of amplifies it now granted we can get into the whole noobe getting a chance to to win that out but Mega John question if maybe he doesn't want to go to Brazil don't think he's going to fake an injury especially on a year where he's trying to prove a point and be a team player be a leader and everything else I I highly doubt that's a reason why he's not going to uh it's a little bit concerning you know I don't think that's what you expected for or wanted from your starting linebacker yeah Zach saying I don't believe that if he beat him out he would have gotten first team reps I believe that there's there's no way the the only other logical explanation um and it doesn't feel that logical to me but it's kind of strange is Albert Eagles tried to TRADE Devin White??? Breer and his tweet here that there were murmurs that the Eagles could trade Devon White for the cutdown Zack Bon and ncoe Dean both were really good in Camp so fair or not white missing the opener won't help his case for a big role in the defense that one to me I don't know if I can get behind that quite honestly because again it goes further into the fact that Devon white was getting the first team reps now if if they were going to trade him I guess you could make the argument or the case that well okay hey you you keep his value High you get him first team reps you make other teams expect or think like oh hey he's still got starting caliber qualities if he doesn't but you don't Salvage it to the extent of going wait a second noobe never started to practice over Devon white he didn't get those first team he he rotated in but he was never the guy ahead of Devon white he sometimes would go past Zack Bon to get some reps but Devin white was the guy so I understand the fact that if we wanted to argue and say yeah Deon white was being outplayed by ncoe Dean he didn't have the same amount of snaps situations there that is that is okay to a certain extent but to say they were going to trade him that one feels totally out of left field I mean shout out to Albert Breer that's uh he has reported accurately on several other things of not taking a shot individually at a reporter there not trying to but for that one I'm like I don't know if I can actually get behind that like what what it's not like linebacker is super deep I do believe in some of the guys but I'm not saying oh hey yeah we're we're good enough let's not trade uh or let's trade Deon white because we don't don't need him don't need that spot or position there now we'll still be I Is Nakobe Dean Philly's best LB? think we could be okay cuz NOCO was solid and it's his opportunity to shine and you know Heck if you go down here for uh Andrew deo's tweet like a lot of other beat Riders beat reporters had said Andrew Deo with Deon white sideline for week one and not making the trip to South Paulo it's presumed niobe and Zach bond in line to start for the linebackers Friday night Dean by the way is the Eagles best linebacker he outperformed white in Camp again can totally get behind that one or more so that one's more believable I get that we've seen that uh there's been Rumblings of it but it is still the fact that you went and had second string and third string with noobe and did not have that with uh with Devon white Jake is a good point I did see that earlier too yes according to John McMullen uh Dean who was was who the Eagles wanted to start uh from the beginning at Mike linebacker I believe that I meane or excuse me hoe has been very high on niobe Dean the entire time so that's not a you know that's not a huge surprise because he's wanting his guy to work out and he could but it's just strange with the whole reps right like I would believe it if it's going okay hey there was a lot of rotation going in there at first string but you didn't really see that so I don't know also if you think about it too and this is just a very small sample size from preseason but de white got 28 snaps in preseason and I believe uh I believe that it was ncoe getting 51 52 somewhere in that range so he he nearly doubled him in terms of snaps so he got more opportunities out there yes and then also he played against more of the as we said second and third string guys it's just one of those that I don't know I don't know if I can fully get behind that I do understand some thought process behind it but every time you saw practice Devon white was the guy um to a lot of people's points and I'm seeing comments here as well like we didn't hear much about Devon white and that's probably not a good thing there's some positions where you're like oh yeah hey we didn't hear about him right like that's okay didn't hear about a quarterback great that's probably a good thing he wasn't getting beat now maybe he wasn't getting a lot of targets his way but okay that means he's probably locking someone down didn't hear very often there were a few of hey Devon white got a sack uh looked good on a blitz you know made an occasional play here or there but for the most part when you compare it to ncoe Dean and when you compare it to Zack Bon there weren't as many reports there maybe it was the fact that it was a foregone conclusion that was how I assumed it or it was the fact that you know hey okay lots of visas are on can noobe win the starting job back is Zack Bond going to be anything at offb linebacker because he hasn't done that that's one of those where I just don't know sir me is asking is he going to be How serious is the ankle injury out just one week that's also a great question so far we don't know he he popped up out of nowhere really I mean it was a limited limited participant yesterday and then out officially today so I can't imagine it's going to be extreme I have not heard uh official reports or seen any any other Tweets in terms of like you know hey this is a long-term thing multiple weeks I can't imagine that it will be plus you know we remember you're going to get the what mini buy I guess coming off of this because you play Friday you get back Monday night is the next game so it's it's almost like a week and a half by that point so if if at this if if at this point you're going to end up being uh you know without him and he had the ankle injury then you know it probably makes sense I get that part if if if he was not going to play basic the injury keep him at home don't travel do anything like that for the injury and especially um you know just let him recover rehab things like that but uh it's just kind of crazy yeah and and no and and two you know I mean people could say what they want to but I've I've reported of nocoe Dean actually being better so uh and have and having a better a better training camp but I've also reported whenever he struggled which I did at the Eagles open practice as Vic fangio called him out and then at the same time he turned it around and he played really well within the practice in preseason so I've given him his flowers I mean it's it's he's uh he's probably or he's defin made this a very close competition with Deon white I just think it becomes strange when it's talking about trade rumors and who that best linebacker is is this a good situation I think it is in terms of you Positives from this situation put a chip on ncoe Dean's shoulder that part's good right he's he's trying to come back Sports King Dean was coming off an injury and that why he didn't play a lot in the preseason but he played more than he played more than Devon white he played more snaps than Devon white did I understand he's coming off injury and so yeah if it was a reverse of that you said oh he he only played 28 snaps noobe was the one who played 51 or 52 wherever it was played less than Devon white if you assumed that he was going to be a starter I just felt like you'd go in there and say all right well here you go I guess another question to that also while we're talking about it is uh what does this do for some of the other linebackers right cuz for one yes we'll Chance for Jeremiah Trotter Jr and Zack Baun give it it's a given the KOB it's his chance here he could take the job and run with it I mean he may never give it back if he plays well let's say Josh Jacobs is held for you know 40 yards 50 yards rushing the Eagles defense looks good coverage is decent I don't know if I'm going to go with like extreme but even if coverage is decent from the linebacker spot ncoe Dean may be the guy go ahead and just take that all of a sudden yeah maybe they do try to look for a trade for uh for Devon white is is that legit I I'm not buying it I don't think that you even with the depth but you know will Dev white be happy enough to be that backup if he loses it to to noobe because if noobe plays well I think this would be a situation of uh it's not the same scenario but it feels in a little bit of a similar light to Kenny G getting in injured DeAndre Swift playing that second week and then all of a sudden you're going oh okay well that makes sense then you've got you've got your starter who we kind of already assumed was going to be the running back or felt like it should be but you know the Eagles got Kenny G the first reps and then all of a sudden you're going well no no that's that's the actual guy that you want I don't know it's it's uh it's going to be a very interesting situation to to keep an eye on um was already going to be watching the linebacker spot but this is just going to heighten it whenever we see that on um on Friday night so come hang out with us you know it'll be a blast enjoy that love the comments too we're getting like a 50/50 we got some that are believing in niobe some that are not some with uh Jeremiah TR Jr I think it's his time to shine I think he could potentially get some snaps or some reps as well uh and and also I've said this on many episodes I think that Trot could end up being or or certainly will play significant snaps I think toward the middle of the Season or certainly by the late part of the season but maybe it's earlier than that I mean if he's if he's out there noobe is one of those yeah I think it's his chance to to try to run with that and the same deal with with Zack Bond so as if the linebacker spot did not have enough wrist on it or I don't know just trying to see what the guys are going to do now you have okay Zack Bon can he play well in a in a prime time match match up against the Packers against a team that's no doubt going to try to take advantage of that and can noobe Dean do the same thing in terms of uh protecting against the run I feel confident in protecting against uh the pass is more of a I I don't know lots of question marks there against the blitz should be great it's really just that one area of coverage and we've seen it where he's had moments reportedly that were good we've seen moments uh especially seen them in the open practice Andrew's nervous from the Kobe and again you got you got a 50-50 split I'm I'm some people are optimistic and some people are going with NCO de's trash so this is an opportunity whether you like it or not niobe Dean is starting for the Eagles Friday night and we're gonna have to see see how he performs there uh yeah let me let me know let me know y'all's thoughts I'm going to hang out here for just a little more like I said I had to quickly hop on didn't have time for a a full video a full recap there but wanted to just update on the news uh for those people I'm seeing a couple just questioning or asking official updates so I'll I'll throw this one back up here again but noobe Dean is uh GNA be your starting linebacker on Friday night your Mike and Zack Bon presumably Will Be Your Will linebacker I have not heard that 100% but based on the Reps would assume that'll be the case Deon white is out ankle injury not traveling with the team to Brazil so it's a interesting situation that we're in hopefully the pass rush in the defense I was already questioning what Eagles defense can still be effective might happen if we had an injury more so was thinking about that with safety but the same thing on linebackers and now that it's happened we're going to see it in week one much earlier than I thought that we would yeah Philip saying so the stress begins before the season love it what else is new this is what this is the the typical for the squad here uh we've been used to it that's fair I'm y Jaylen I remember the the YouTube comment niobe Dean going crazy I hear you hey there's SE several people I understand totally behind noobe never doubting I will admit and I've said before I doubted noobe Dean I'm still a little unsure about the coverage especially but I have been able to praise him he played really well in the uh what the Patriots game making lot of plays being incredibly physical it it shows up yes but it's just one of those that you need to see time and time again he's going to get a chance to prove it all right other bit of news here I was going to bring up uh real quickly as well because there's it it somewhat impacts um maybe not really impact a ton but it's it's one of those that I don't know it makes you feel good whenever you're looking at it and saying oh here's our roster versus someone else's but uh the Patrick C tan news I'm sure Patrick Surtain contract news people have seen this already as well but Adam schfer Broncos signed Patrick ceran to a 4-year 96 million extension includes 77.5 million guaranteed now making him the highest paid defensive back in NFL history so good for him resets the market for the cornerback position and yet he's still the 13th uh or comparatively um he's still making about the same as the 13th highest paid wide receiver in the league a little bit of discrepancy between those positions I think that's like DK matf money so you're close uh but meanwhile you got q and I think Thomas was the first one that that that pointed this out but you got q and key Ringo on rookie contracts you got Isaiah Rogers coming back that on a very team-friendly deal uh for a one year not a bad position to be in got to hit the super chat real quick JK appreciate it said uh is CJ better yet he's going to be on cleanup Duty hopefully not um he is better say hopefully not hopefully not that he's going to be on cleanup duty but he is better he's not on the injury report all good to go I mean you got to think it's it's a good sign in terms of I'll pull up the injury report again just to have it here but while we may be a little bit CJ Gardner Johnson cleaning up freaking out in terms of you know we're out what our what our assumed starting linebacker was going to be it's not a bad list to be going to Brazil with because in the past it's like oh man you got you know two three four guys wouldn't be a great way one guy out AJ and Landon getting rest I I never heard saw I was trying to look and see if there was anything related to maybe a minor sickness or just anything um cool hey give him rest day that's great be prepared and Isaiah Rogers with the hand which I texted him seems like I mean I don't know 100% because I'm not a doctor or anything like that I I would still expect that he's going to play um we'll see limited prati practice maybe that's just a precautionary thing I don't know but you do remember he missed I think it was what Sunday's practice if I'm not mistaken so he has missed a couple practices with that um but yeah that's not as much of a concern naturally as far as you know positional depth and where those guys are at versus you've got your your ankle Deon white out didn't travel with a team and uh like I also shared a second ago but the belief that NOCO Dean was already the starter according to Jeff mlan already the guy uh maybe the Eagles didn't even have a plan for Deon white yet Vic fangio kept rolling him out there at the first team linebacker I mean this is the difficulty I understand that the Eagles have high hopes for nicoe Dean like we said but the fact that it goes to that extent I can't get Recap and Takeaways behind it if you're one that believes it that's fine because it's it's so hard to know in this day and age of misinformation what what's legit but we're going to see makes it more exciting for Brazil by the way if you can't watch the game or even if you can you want to come hang out we're going to be streaming live for the game uh for the entire game so we'll have the uh Recaps and everything also but it's where we'll be at yeah Fitness everyone's freaking out fangio has always said linebackers are not locked in it's true he said there was going to be a basically a linebacker by committee which I don't like does anyone let me just ask does anyone prefer a linebacker by committee approach if we could get two of those uh you know two solid ones that'd be great TJ I'm not disrespecting niobe literally not but it's totally a fair question to say is he going to be the guy in terms of coverage and uh yeah I've got an upper respiratory so I see some of the comments there too I'm I'm good I appreciate the concern Joseph so our prize off season linebacker upgrade is a bust see I don't know that either like it's yeah see Fitness doesn't doesn't like that yeah Brian I'm I'm curious if anyone does I I know that I know that the vast majority don't like but does anyone actually like the idea of a linebacker by committee I usually I really don't prefer it for any positions really um it if you want to do running back for certain teams it kind of works but yeah as far as linebacker goes gabee a question yeah do we think that we lose if uh now that Devon white is injured no Devon white is no offense to him Devon white is not the if he's there we win if he's not there we lose I was excited about the potential can he Elevate his game back to an all pro year some people make the argument that he caught lightning in a bottle he can't repeat it again I think that there's maybe not necessarily All Pro level but I think that he could get to a pro bowl definitely had and have high hopes for him but with him not being there okay now you insert toobe but I'm still like and I've said this all along he can play better he can get to that position the Eagles drafted him for a reason and this is his time to shine so you know case in point now go do that like that's that's noobe Dean's chance um but in terms of this game here no I'm not freaking out I'm not saying oh my gosh we're going to lose now this is the the ultimate change no you you you had a plan it was going to be a backup by committee anyway jerem TR Jr will probably rotate in I would assume if that's the way that it's going to be with the committee um really it comes down to I think and maybe it's a given starting this but I think it comes down to begin with the pass rush start with a pass rush work from there pass rush is good we could be okay keep ncoe Dean clean keep Zack Bond clean help the linebackers to be able to make plays uh I shouldn't just say pass rush just the the dline in general pass rush run stopping get uh some support there yeah seeing a couple people join a little bit late it it is apparently Zack Bond and a Kobe deem for the starters but if you missed it Devin white not going to be there um for Brazil did not make the trip out with an ankle injury and and then the the crazier odd take that I still can't quite get behind maybe there's some truth to it uh Albert Breer saying there were murmurs that the Eagles could trade Devin white uh before cutdown since Zack Bond and niobe Dean were both really good in Camp so there's your starting linebackers for Friday night against the Packers and I don't know um even if Devon white was there I'll be honest even if Devon white was there I continued to say like yeah linebackers I feel okay but I I got to see it I don't care what I've SE I don't care what I've seen in preseason The Good the Bad the Ugly all of it got to see it in real game so I still would have been saying the same thing in all transparency but now you have an injury here changes a little bit of things all right niobe Dean go out and make plays in coverage will we see that uh and yes able they they took off of the plane I believe like an hour ago I think the report was 10:00 a.m. eastern was whenever they were going to take off so they should getting there in uh I don't know what is it 10 hours 10 hour flight something like that it's a crazy long flight all right there you go well like I
