Intro okay so the Eagles week one opener in Brazil  is just under a week away but even with all the   excitement multiple players including AJ Brown  and CJ Gardner Johnson have expressed a little   bit of concern about the player safety amidst  multiple different issues going on in Brazil right   now but are these concerns valid or is everything  being overblown meanwhile Eagles tight end Dallas   Goddard is once again plagued by the injury bug  and it seems like there's a chance that he could   be in danger of missing the Eagles week one game  plus jayen Carter looks poised to have a breakout   season with a video of him bullying the League's  best left tackle serving as a reminder but why   is it going to be crucial for the players around  Carter on the defensive line to step up well we're   going to talk about that and all the other latest  Eagles news starting right now hey everybody   Eagles New Jerseys Combo EXPLAINED! Welcome to the Philly fan 21 Channel if you're  new I'm Evan and I cover all things Philadelphia   Eagles and we're at the point where I'm just  so ready for Eagles football to be back I mean   training camp is over the preseason is over and  now I'm just ready for some meaningful football   games and we are only 6 days away from it as soon  enough the birds will travel down the South P   Brazil to take on the Packers now yesterday it  was revealed that the Eagles would be debuting   a new Jersey combo in this game as they'll be  wearing their white jerseys along with their black   pants and black helmets which I think is a pretty  awesome combo but yesterday I did say in my video   that I didn't quite understand why they chose to  debut this jersey combo in this game because it's   not like they can't wear green cuz the Packers  are wearing it so I just didn't really have any   explanation for it but a commenter and subscriber  of Mine by the name of Tony Branch kind of called   me out and explained the reasoning behind it so  first off sorry I missed that I'm going to miss   things from time to time so just bear with me on  that but after reading the comment and doing a   little more research the Jersey selection actually  makes perfect sense as this is the first NFL game   ever in Brazil and the whole reason they're doing  it is to try and grow the game and make it more of   a global Sport and the Eagles were selected to be  the home team for this game so it seems that the   NFL wants the home crowd in Brazil to be on their  side and what better way to do that then by having   the Eagles wear the same colors being black and  white that the home soccer team Corinthians wears   while also having the Packers wear green which  is the color of the Corinthians biggest Rivals   so that at least explains the logic behind it all  and hopefully it works out and it'll be a largely   Pro Eagles crowd in Brazil to open the new  season but honestly I mean that shouldn't   Eagles MAJOR CONCERNS For Brazil! even be close to the NFL's biggest concern when  it comes to this game right now cuz there's some   stuff going on in Brazil at this moment that  has CJ Gunner Johnson wondering if it's even   safe to play there I mean first off you got to  think about the wildfires going on right now as   it's led to poor air quality which could possibly  compromise the player safety with an article from   Mara stating quote according to reports over 30  cities nearby have been affected by the wildfires   leading to a significant drop in air quality the  situation has been described as very unhealthy   by Brazil's environmental Institute this has  raised serious concerns about the safety of the   players as inhaling the polluted air could pose  a major risk to their health and then on top of   that it was also reported by other sources that  quote local Health Services reported a spike in   cases of ritis asthma attacks pneumonia and  conjunct devitis and then on top of that it   seems like both teams have other issues to  worry about as well with AJ Brown revealing   that the birds probably along with the Packers  were given a pretty serious list of instructions   regarding what not to do when they're down  in Brazil we had a a meeting yesterday and   there like a whole bunch of don't dos and uh  so um I'm just trying to go down there win a   football game come back home that's the best  way I can put it what were you told not to do a lot honestly things that we would normally  do here and simple as just walking down the street   with your phone hand and stuff like that like  which is kind of crazy so now look all this stuff   defin doesn't sound great and it also definitely  doesn't make you feel super confident that the   birds and Packers going down to Brazil to play  their week one game is the safest thing in the   Problems In Brazil OVERBLOWN? world however there is a solid chance that these  concerns are being blown out of proportion due   to the grabby media headlines and us people up in  the states not quite knowing the ins and outs of   the situation going on down in Brazil and I got  a shout at another great Eagles Creator Thomas M   who covered this topic yesterday and a commenter  on his show by the name of Bruno Costa 4749 who   tried to reassure us Americans about the situation  including the speculation about the color green   saying quote as a Brazilian I have to defend my  country and say that we do not hate green down   here it's just a silly soccer rivalry and there  is literally nothing to worry about as of the   wildfires which are not that big compared to what  we see in the US they're happening very far away   from the city of sou Pao and the air quality in  the city is not great not because of the wildfires   but due to pollution still it's definitely not as  bad as cities in the US as well finally Brazil is   not the safest country in the world and I admit  that we are very open to the NFL and their players   who will be very well received here Brazil has  the third biggest NFL fan base in the world and we   are very excited to receive our first NFL game and  the stadium will be packed with eagles and Packers   fans wearing green so that definitely does make  me feel better about the whole situation and I   think being a week out from the game the wildfire  and air quality situation can still definitely   improve and regarding concerns with crime and  things of that nature as long as the players   listen to what they were told in these meetings  and don't put themselves in bad situations then   they should be okay but what do you guys think are  you at all worried about any of these concerns or   do you think everything will just be okay but  now moving on to more football related things   Eagles RELEASE Unofficial Depth Chart! the Eagles first unofficial depth chart has been  released ahead of their week one match up with the   Packers and although we probably already could  have figured who'd be starting in each position   this gives us an even better idea so starting at  quarterback number two opposite Darius SLE Isaiah   Rogers is listed in that spot which again is No  Surprise and they also have quinan Mitchell listed   as the starting nickel quarterback which again is  No shock but then at linebacker things get kind of   interesting and don't worry we're going to get  into that in so much more in just a minute but   real quick I do want to say if you are enjoying  this video and don't want to miss any more Eagles   content or coverage like this coming in the future  throughout this entire season then make sure you   guys subscribe and also really really importantly  turn on notifications so you're notified instantly   when one of these videos is uploaded I think  that's a win-win for the both of us because   not only do I get more people consistently  watching these videos but you don't miss any   other eagles content or coverage just like this  coming throughout the entire season so again   subscribe turn on notifications and also drop a  like let see you we can hit 800 likes on today's   video and now with that being said let's get back  into the video so getting back to the depth chart   Nakobe Dean Still FIGHTING To Start? and the linebacker position specifically it very  interesting interestingly has Zack Bond starting   but it also was written Devon white/ niobe  Dean listed at the other spot so I know this   is obviously an unofficial depth chart and just  because this is the way it's listed doesn't mean   this is the way things are going to be but it will  definitely be interesting to watch the whole noobe   Dean situation to see if they do decide to rotate  him in with the other two starting linebackers   which is something that defensive coordinator  Vic fangio said that he's not opposed to doing   are you open to a rotate yeah we're open to that  um I do think you're better off with you know a   set group cuz sometimes it's hard to get guys in  and out um you know you don't want to have to sub   to do stuff but either way I've done it both ways  again it'll definitely be interesting to see how   this whole situation at the linebacker position  plays out and if NCO Dean sees significant snaps   on defense or not I mean you think he would have  to just with the way he looked at camp but again   I guess we'll see but then moving on the Eagles  also very unsurprisingly have Jan Dodson listed   Jahan Dotson CHANGES Number! as the starting wide receiver 3 which again  we all expected but the real news here is that   he's listed as number 83 rather than 87 he's had  since he got here and I do personally think that   83 is a better number so I'm glad he was able  to make that switch but something I'm not glad   Dallas Goedert At RISK To Miss Week 1? to see is that when you look at ESPN's unofficial  depth chart which to be fair is going to be even   less reliable than the Eagles unofficial one but  they have tight end Dallas GD currently listed as   questionable now this doesn't mean anything as we  won't know what goddard's injury status is for the   Packers game until the Eagles put out their first  injury report sometime probably in the coming   week but it isn't exactly comforting to know  that Gard is again dealing with an injury that   could possibly hold him out of a game as sometime  towards the end of training camp Goddard suffered   an oblique injury which we really don't know how  it happened but he has been out of practice ever   since including missing the team's past couple of  practices from this past week now the good news   is that it obviously isn't a serious injury  that's going to keep him out for a very long   time but it is still just a little concerning the  fact that Goddard always seems to be dealing with   something at some point during the year I mean  we've been saying for years now that if Goddard   just was able to stay healthy for a full season  he'd easily be considered one of the best tight   end in the game so the fact that he's again just  dealing with something even even before the season   begins this time isn't exactly ideal now that  being said I don't think we should be too worried   because again it's clearly not that serious but  this will definitely be something to monitor as   we get closer and closer to the bird's week one  opener in Brazil but now switching over to some   Eagles Roster Updates! Eagles roster news the birds added somebody  to the practice squad yesterday in defensive   back JT Woods who was a third round pick by the  Chargers back in 2022 now Woods has appeared in   13 games over two seasons one being a start and  he's locked just eight tackles in those games but   he was a fairly high draft pick very recently so  we'll see if the Eagles can develop in at all on   the practice squad and then in addition to that  the Eagles have officially lost somebody who was   on the initial 53 man roster in Marlin Tu pelu  as an Reed and the Chiefs scooped him up after   the birds cut him so they could sign Byron young  so that honestly kind of stinks because I think   tuy palu has been a solid depth piece over the  years on the defensive line but the Eagles have   pretty good depth there anyway so while it is an  ideal to lose them it'll probably be fine and just   good luck to him in KC but now switching over to  another defensive tackle we look at Jaylen Carter   Jalen Carter BREAKOUT SEASON Incoming! who obviously everyone expects to have a breakout  season in his second year with the Eagles after an   impressive rookie year and there's a lot of people  including myself who think JC is going to be the   Eagles best defensive player but with that comes  challenges as offenses are going to be doubling   him and they're also going to be consistently  keyed in on him and just trying to stop him in   any way that they can which means it's going  to be crucial for the other guys around Carter   on the defensive line to take advantage of the  opportunities that they have while the offense   isn't as focused on them and NFL analyst Brian  baldinger recently broke down this whole situation   Other Eagles Defenders MUST STEP UP! in this video Jaylen Carter 98 for the Eagles was  their best defensive player last year when you're   the best player you get the most attention so you  get the chip from KD and then Trent Williams on   you and you just beat the best left tackle in the  whole game but this is what you he's going to see   this year there's no Fletcher Cox this year all  right but he's going to get this so you get one   of- ones across the board all right everybody else  is oneon-one Jaylen Carter is just battling his   butt off right there you watch him in the Run game  he's going to get the attention of the Run game   but he's just that good that when you get doubled  like this you get off the block and you keep   mcaffrey out of the end zone this year who's going  to be that guy that's going to take the attention   away from Jaylen Carter like you watch this right  here and he they lined him up in different places   but there is Tyler Smith and Tyron Smith right  there everybody else one-on-one who's going to   win the one-on-one this year when jayen Carter  when they slide to him when they double him when   they game plan when they triple him when they  chip him who's going to pick up the slack this   year when jayen Carter plays like that guy is a  monster but he needs help so first off shout out   to Baldi for doing these breakdowns like this and  he does make a good point I mean the Eagles other   D lemen are going to have to win their one-on-one  opportunities with Carter taking up doubles and if   they don't then the Eagles pass rush could have  a real problem I mean they obviously don't have   a son reic or Fletcher Cox anymore which makes  things harder and personally I think it's just   going to have to be a joint effort from every I  mean the young defensive tackles are definitely   going to have to develop more and step up but I  honestly think the key will end up being the two   Edge rushers Bryce huff and Josh SWAT I mean if  they can consistently win their one-on ones and   have big Seasons respectively then the Eagles pass  rush should be dominant but if they struggle then   I think the whole D line could struggle even with  the dominance of Carter so we'll see what happens   but I also don't want to blow past that first clip  I mean this is a rookie Jaylen Carter that just   Jalen Carter BULLIED Trent Williams!
