Eagles SWITCHING UP Key Offensive Strategy! Saquon Barkley READY For Brazil & MAJOR Injury Updates!

Intro all right so we're just days ahead of the Eagles  week one match up with the Packers and not only   did Jaylen hert speak on the match up with Green  Bay but he also gave his thoughts on going to   Brazil and so did saquon Barkley and he seems  ready and excited to play in the NFL's first ever   Brazil game plus multiple different guys including  Center cam Jurgens and offensive coordinator Kell   Moore went in depth on the Eagles new strategy in  one key area on offense well the birds also got   some major injury updates ahead of their week  one game as well so we're going to talk about   that in all the other latest Eagles news ahead of  the match up with the Packers starting right now   Eagles Wearing Black Helmets At Practice! hey guys welcome to the Philly fan 21 Channel  if you're new I'm Evan and I cover all things   Philadelphia Eagles and we're finally here it's  game week for the Eagles as in just four short   days the birds will take on the Packers in Brazil  to kick off their season and which should be a   really exciting matchup and a matchup where the  birds also will be unveiling a New Jersey combo   that will feature their black helmets that they've  exclusively only so far worn in the 2022 season   and they've been rocking these black helmets at  practice so far and preparation for the game and   I got to say I kind of forgot how good they looked  and it's just getting me pumped to see them again   in an actual game and again this is just a great  match up that the Eagles have to open the season   Jalen Hurts SPEAKS On Packers! against a good football team in the Packers and  jayen Herz actually spoke about that on Sunday as   he realizes that the birds are going to have their  work cut out for them this this is a really good   team it's a really good team they got a lot of  really good players have a really good quarterback   and running back and receiver core and the D line  is D line is is is really good and attacking the   ball and uh creating problems up front and we  just um you know it comes down to preparation   you you guys have heard me say it enough you  know how how we uh how we prepare and how we have   prepared you know and um having an opportunity to  dis display that and compete against a really good   team again I do think the Packers are a good  football team and they could definitely make   some noise in the NFC this year and while I know  Jaylen and the Eagles are going to be prepared   like he said this is still definitely a tough test  for the birds to open the year and what makes it   Nick Sirianni REVEALS Mindset Ahead Of Brazil! even harder obviously is the fact that the game is  in Brazil which means an extra long 9 and 1 half   hour flight for the team while they also lose a  game at the link and that's not even mentioning   all the concerns regarding player safety overblown  or not that I talked about in my last video so it   definitely does add a whole new element to the  week one opener and does make things a little   bit tougher but head coach Nick serani doesn't  seem to be focused on that as he outlined his   and the team's mentality ahead of their trip to  South America yeah we're we're going there to to   play and win a foot win a football game that's  our that's our goal that's our you know um our   only goal as we go down there and so you know it's  just putting it's just getting everybody in the   right mindset of what you want you what you need  to be when you go down there it's like uh you can   control the things that you can control you like  like we're going to Brazil to play that's that's   what it is and we're excited about that what we  can control is our effort what we can control   is our attitude what we can control is our core  values and that's what we're going to focus on   this week yeah I mean pretty much like Nick said  it is what it is and they just have to make the   most of it I mean sure it's definitely not ideal  that the Eagles have to go down to Brazil to open   the season or that they lose a home game but at  the end of the day they just can't do anything   about it and like coach said they just need to be  worried worried about controlling what they can   control and going down there to win a football  game and I also think something that can't hurt   Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts EXCITED About Brazil! and can only help in this situation is just having  a positive attitude about it and that's exactly   what both saquin Barkley and jayen Herz have as  they both seem at least a little bit excited for   this opportunity to play in the NFL's first ever  Brazil game my mindset to go out there be locked   in and try try do what we can to come out with  a win and I think everyone's talking about you   know not saying us but you the questions that's  been asked and you see in the media is oh what's   going on there I look at at opportunity we get  to play on something we could to do something   that no one in NFL has ever done before um and  I'm excited about that I think it's a it's a   Once on a lifetime opportunity something to be  very excited about you know the international   stage Brazil from what I've heard it's it's a very  amazing Place beautiful place um and a very very   passionate passionate place as well when it comes  to sports and and their fans and so I'm excited to   get a taste of that so again you got to love the  qb1 and the star running back both have positive   attitudes about this and saquon's right this is  an opportunity to do something that no team has   ever done before which is exciting and also a good  way of looking at it and for jayen Herz you also   just know that you don't have to worry about his  preparation or mindset at all going into this game   so regardless how you may feel about the birds  having to go down to Brazil you still at least got   to feel good about both jayen and saquin and where  their heads are at but one thing that heading into   Dallas Goedert and Isaiah Rodgers INJURY UPDATES! Sunday at least I didn't feel so great about was  the injury situation involving a few key Eagles   being Dallas Goddard and Isaiah Roger as both have  missed time at practice with various injuries and   with the opener being just days away that's not  exactly comforting and it makes you start to   question what their status will be for the week  one matchup and naturally Nick siani was asked   about the injury status of both Goddard and Rogers  ahead of practice on Sunday and this is what   he said yeah you guys will get a injury report I  don't think what Bob what day Tuesday so you might   not get it quite as early as you normally have you  guys kind of know my year four now you not kind   of know where I am on injuries and talking about  injuries and stuff like that they're working hard   to get back yeah it's no secret at this point that  serani doesn't give the media much information   when it comes to injury updates and while we  are still going to have to wait until tomorrow   to get the official injury report like Nick said  we did get a positive development on Sunday as   both Dallas gard and Isaiah Rogers were back out  on the practice field getting ready for the week   one opener so it certainly seems like both guys  are on track to play which that's just fantastic   because both are going to have huge roles on this  team this year obviously and will be important   pieces for them so again it's certainly nice that  it doesn't seem like either of them will miss   time but now moving on from that the Eagles also  made a couple of roster moves yesterday as they   Eagles SIGN 2 Players To Practice Squad! signed two guys back to the practice squad in wide  receiver Griffin a bear and tight end Kevin folch   and these of course are two guys that were with  the Eagles during camp and preseason so it makes   sense that the birds would want to bring them back  especially with them needing to fill out the rest   of their practice squad but now switching over  to one of the big pieces of news from last week   Nick Sirianni Talks About DeVonta Smith NOT Being a Captain! we look at the Eagles Captain selections for this  year and one of the most surprising things from   that is that the fourth year wide receiver Devonte  Smith wasn't one of them despite being one last   year and Nick serani actually spoke about this in  his recent press conference and don't worry we're   going to get into that and so much more in just a  minute but real quick I do want to say if you are   enjoying this video and don't want to miss any  other eagles coverage or content just like this   coming throughout the entire season then make sure  you subscribe and also really really importantly   turn on notifications so you're notified instantly  when one of these videos is uploaded I think   that's a win one for the both of us because  not only do I get more people consistently   watching these videos but you don't miss any other  eagles content or coverage just like this so again   subscribe turn on notifications and also drop a  like let's see if we can hit 800 likes on today's   video now with that being said let's get back into  the video now as I was saying in his Sunday press   conference Nick Sani made sure to make it clear  that just because Smitty isn't selected to be a   captain it doesn't mean that he's still not a  leader of this football team you know everyone   there's a lot of guys that got votes right I had  to go with the guys that that got the most votes   there and just because uh Devonte didn't have  as many votes as some of the other guys doesn't   mean he's not still a leader on this football team  um and you know that goes for a lot of guys that   goes for saquan right that goes for who's been a  captain for for many years and and so and I and   again this is you know Chanty like all these guys  and so just because they aren't the captain and   have the sea on their chest doesn't mean they're  not the lead the leaders of this football team so   yeah I mean when it got announced I definitely  thought it was interesting that Smitty wasn't a   captain but I also just wasn't going to make  a big deal about it cuz I know that it's not   the end of the world and like Nick said him not  being a captain doesn't mean that he's not still   one of the leaders on this football team and that  applies to multiple other guys as well like saquon   Barkley and CJ Gunner Johnson as serani said so  I'm looking forward to Smitty and these other guys   also growing and making an impact throughout the  season as leaders and I feel the same way about   Jalen Hurts Talks Jordan Mailata's Captain Selection! Jordan Mila who was selected to be a captain  actually for the first time in his career which   is just awesome and Jaylen Harts actually spoke  about this as he praed milot for his character   and Leadership I think he he's consistently  who he is he's he's been a guy that has been   here for for for a good length of time and very  passionate about what he does very uplifting   has has built a a chip over time i' say in a good  way um and I just love him you know he's there for   his teammates you know I know there's a there's  a picture maybe 2021 uh of him being there for   me you know in the moment where we kind of we came  up short in the game and you know that that's the   that's the type of teammate he was and after that  moment you know a lot of wins uh started coming so   um he just needs to continue to be the leader he  is continue to grow as a player um and continue   to be himself that's that's that's enough for him  you got to love hearing this from qb1 I think it's   safe to say that milata has earned his captain  selection and I honestly think it's just really   cool to think about how milata arrived in Philly  just six years ago having never played football   before and now he's one of the best tackles  in the game with a massive contract and he's   a team captain I mean I just think it's a really  cool story and also a big story for the Eagles   Eagles O-Line vs Packers D-Line is KEY! and Packers week one match up is going to be the  Packers defensive line versus the Eagles offensive   line as the Packers have a really talented group  up front and Makai beckon says that stopping it   is going to be crucial to the eagle success in  this game uh this this a lot of things we got to   key in on their they their their defense is based  on rning line so we have to we have to dominate   the front to win the game yeah I mean again this  is definitely going to be an interesting matchup   to watch in this game as the Eagles interior the  offensive line has obviously been shaken up since   Kelce retired with Cam Jurgens moving to Center  and beckon now being the Right Guard so this will   definitely be an early test for them to open up  the season now the good news is that both beckon   Cam Jurgens Talks Eagles NEW Pass Pro Strategy! and cam jorgens have had really good training  camps respectively and both seem to be ready to   be successful in their new role especially cam who  has really handled this transition since Kelsey   retired so so well and part of this transition  is obviously now being the guy who's making the   calls to the line and getting protection set in  joint effort with jayen Herz who is also taken   on more responsibility in that area and this  communication and collaboration between the two   of them regarding predictions is something that  cam seems to view as a positive uh yeah I mean   it's agree with group effort and I think it's  it's better that way because there's too many   times where we be mixing flip-flopping and then  not everybody knows where we're going especially   you know that's tough at quarterback when things  get changed and he doesn't know exactly where his   hot routes may be because we flipped it and it's  you know sometimes you pick it all up and it's   great and then when you don't it's it's bad so  theoretically the fact that Jen has a little to   do with the protections and what he also can do it  could make it look better because he now there's a   that's what I'm saying just make sure everybody's  on the same page and you know that starts jayen o   line receivers if you if you check something make  sure everybody's knowing where we're at with it   it's certainly going to be interesting to watch  how much not having Kelsey changes things up front   in just regards to getting protection set but  everything we've heard so far has been positive   as hurt seems to be taking on this additional  responsibility in stride while many positive   things have been said about Cam and how he's  done a great job with this as well and Jurgens   is also right in saying that having everybody  on the same page is going to be key when it   comes to getting this right and that's also  key when it comes to picking up the Blitz and   Jalen Hurts Says Eagles Have IMPROVED Against Blitz And More! having answers ready to go against it which is  something that jayen Herz says they've gotten   better at during this offseason along with a lot  of other things offensively I think we I think   we've gotten better in all aspects I think we've  gotten better in all aspects I think there are   some things that are more Garing right that we  see that pop out more um pointed to the eye but   I think there are a ton of different things that  we need to improve on and I think as a football   team we've taken steps in the right direction  and now we have the opportunity to assess what   we are and that's the exciting part about it  I'm just really really excited to see how this   new look Eagles offense looks as a whole and  obviously how they handle the blit is going   to be a very big part of that just due to the  fact that they struggled so badly against it to   end off last season but they've worked a ton  on it this offseason and Kell Morris come in   and provided more answers against it and speaking  of more he talked to the media before practiced   Kellen Moore Breaks Down Eagles Pass Pro Plans!
