The NFL Once Again Has No Answer For Brock Purdy.. | (Analysis - San Francisco 49ers)

that guy Brock py man I made a lot of videos about him last year because of how well he played and nobody gave him his credit so I wanted to make videos about him and now this year he started off the season pretty good once again against one of the best defenses in the entire league and that's something you're just going to have to get used to Brock py plays really good football week in and week out and he's extremely consistent which is something you don't see out of a lot of quarterbacks in the NFL right now so the 49ers having a guy like that make sure that their offense is going to put up numbers every single week and they just did that in week one put up 32 points so I wanted to break down his last game against the New York Jets and really see how he played because even though he was a little bit Rusty towards the beginning of the game he did finish it really really good and he showed us everything that we're used to seeing from him so without further Ado let's go ahead and jump right into it all right so on the first play right here it's pretty simple all the 49ers are going to run is they're going to get this running back motioned out here to a bubble and down here on the top of the screen we have a corner with an out underneath it so just smash concept and then we have Debo blocking here and then delaying out into like a little just kind of sitting right here in the grass and then we have IU coming over the top of everything on like a curlish route and it looks like Brock p is just looking high low here depending on what this corner does so if SCE back pedals with the corner route we're going to take the out if he drives down on the out really hard we have this corner route so we're going to take that but if we didn't have either one we then come to here and then to here to the running back as you're three and as you're four and you're going to see the three and four would have been open if pery would have came to it but he didn't have a reason to because his one and two were were open so you're going to see him right here he's looking at the top of the screen at the smash concept sace is backpedaling with this corner route so right when pry sees that he's ready to throw the ball and he gets it out really fast puts it right on KD boom gr on his chest and KD's able to get a nice game because of it this is a great easy way to get Brock py completion to get him confident so he can start the game off well and you're going to see right here from the back angle he sees it quick gets it out puts it on him like he's used like we're used to seeing round the money nice and easy get six seven yards get close to a first down next play here another great job by py all the ners are running is double slant up top so when you're running double slant you read in to out so one here and then two to here or pery could breed this side of the field if he liked the coverage because they have just verticals on this side with Debo getting motioned out here and running this then with the running back coming underneath and kind of just sitting right here here so if he picks this side up top it's one to this slant two to this slant then three to the check down if he picks this side down here it's one to two to three to the check down and that's why I like this concept because you get to pick either side but per is going to pick the top side up there he likes his matchups on the slant even though brand auk is being guarded by sa with inside leverage he trusts that brand auk is going to win that's exactly what he does watch it right here he's going to look at that inside slant boom doesn't like it comes to the outside one perfect timing right as randuk is getting out of his break he's releasing that football puts it right on his chest brand auk just has to find a way to come down with that obviously s knocked out of his hands but we'd like to see bran auk have strong hand hands right here and not let that ball come out because P really does do a great job of putting on the money and I want you to watch right here his rhythm his timing how comfortable he looks in the pocket even against a great defense and in week one he still looks this comfortable easy little hop ball right on Brandon auk's chest right on in front of him great job by pie next play here a great Concept in my opinion by the 49ers you're going to get bunched up here tight set so they can't press you and all the 49ers are going to run is a little flood concept from a weird starting position so the receiver here is just going to run out and run a go brand auk has the out route and then you have Jawan Jennings coming underneath everything on a little whip route and all uh party's reading is high low right here really easy and then he has this his running back coming out and getting out right here as his checkdown if he needs it now on the bottom of the screen you also have KD just running a simple out route so if you like this matchup down there you can take it and decide to throw it pre- snap but because it's soft Gardener guarding a tight end that's not a matchup you should take ever so P's going to take the flood concept and it's going to work out pretty well the Jets are just in man coverage here so if they're in man coverage you have this out all day long especially with this safety safety on receiver matchup and that's what py decides to take puts it out there for br auk br auk makes a great catch and they get a big big chunk because of it I want want you to watch the anticipation right here he also has a little bit of pressure in his face and he stands in there and still throws it boom he has the ball back right now and look where brand auk's at he hadn't even got to the top of his route yet that is absolutely outstanding stuff seeing the exact same stuff we saw from Brock party last year in week one already and that is just amazing stuff put on his chest get a first down move the chains you can watch from this angle right here good Rhythm once again you can see a little bit of pressure coming in his face has to throw it off his back foot a little bit but it doesn't matter still puts it right on the money great job first down next play here another good job by Brock P all the 49ers are trying to run here is a levels concept with play action so we're going to get the play action this way and then Brock p is going to roll out the other way we're trying to get everybody to flow this way this way this way because we have brand nauk coming on a Crosser we have KD coming on a deep Corner then we have Debo underneath it all on a little out route and you're literally just reading this high low like this right here as you roll out but what's going to happen is the Jets do a really good job of noticing it and covering it up so P's going to have to use his legs and that's something I think people forget about Brock pie he can use his legs at a pretty high level if he needs to and right here it allows the 49ers to get a big time first down great stuff underrated aspect of Brock P's game next play here another amazing play by Brock pie one of his best throws of the night all we're gonna get is Debo getting motioned out here and we're gonna have Jaan Den Jennings on a deep dig and that's where we're trying to get the football we're trying to get it in this grass right here because we have Brandon I clearing everything out for him and we're trying to hit this big chunk play right here behind these linebackers and it does end up working but if it didn't you also have KD chipping and then getting out in the flat right here is a check down you have Debo getting motioned out here and coming in on a check down and you have the running back also helping and then getting out on a check down as well so if this wasn't here you have a lot of check down options but what you're going to see happen is Brock PR doeses a great job of moving his pocket keeping his eyes downfield and then firing a perfect football to Jawan Jennings he has to step over keep his eyes downfield rip right on Jawan Jennings chest over the linebacker's head for a big time gain amazing stuff watch it from this angle right here watch the ball watch his pocket movement he moves subtly doesn't do too many big movements moves sees it ball Rip r over the linebacker's head right on the money in stride Johan Jennings makes s Smith and gets a couple extra yards amazing stuff next play here another great throw by Brock py all we're going to get is Debo motioned here he's going to set and then he's going to run a bubble then we have a go here and then we're going to get KD on this deepish sail route right here and P's going to have to layer that throw in if he wants to throw it but if it wasn't there you can come down to Debo here on the bubble or you have this tight end coming out across the middle right here and if Debo wasn't there you could hit this so it's really just one here two to Debo and then three right here pretty simple but Brock py likes the cell route he thinks he can fit it in there and he puts the perfect touch on the football to do so perfect footwork hits his back foot hitch the ball is already coming out of his hand right here most quarterbacks will wait till about right here to throw that football but Brock p is already releasing it and George KD just now came out of his break he's going to have to layer this football over this linebacker right here if he wants to fit it in that's exactly what he does Perfect Touch on the ball right on George KD's face face mask for a huge chunk once again I mean this is just the stuff Brock party does at this point in his career man he does it like it's nothing he makes it look easy when a lot of quarterbacks could not make this throw and they can not see it as quick as he does Great Stuff first down again next play here this is more scheming than it is Brock py but Brock P does a good job of executing it down on the bottom of the screen all we have is a little smash concept here so if you're going to read this it's high to low but if they're in man coverage you probably don't want to throw this unless you think brand auk is going to win on the corner but because of what's down here on the bottom side of the screen you're going to want to throw this because this is a perfect man beater and it's pretty obvious the Jeter and man here look at how they're aligned heads up heads up no high safeties anywhere to be seen heads up heads up and whenever Debo gets motioned in here this corner is going to follow him in follow him in and just watch this concept that's ran down at the bottom of the screen motion him in obviously man coverage all they're going to run here is is KD and Debo are both going to run out and KD's going to try to block off this corner right here from getting back inside because Debo is going to cut it across and because it's man coverage there's going to be no one there which is going to allow for a huge gain so watch it here KD is a good job extending vertical and when Debo extends vertical behind him it gets him overextended he has to work back through kiddo to get to him and then look at all this green grass Debo has to run into just an absolutely great play call and good execution by Brock P getting it out on time I mean you can't ask for a more open player than this in the NFL this is about as open as somebody's ever going to get great play call but great way of Brock PR to realize that they're in man coverage and then attacking the side of the field that beats man the best big gain once again next play here another great job by Brock pie all the four ners are running here is a little bang aish drift post type routes on both sides with brand auk and with Jawan Jennings with a flat underneath it by the running back on this side and then KD's going to come over and be the flat on this side and they're also going to have used check coming underneath on a little hitch route to try to pull down these linebackers so he can so py could fit this in if he was going to throw it to this side but per is going to pick the side up top and uh it's pretty easy to see right here all P's reading is the flat Defender the flat defender on this play ends up being this guy so if he extends out with the running back we're going to take this throw all day long if he would have sat underneath here we would have took this running back all day long but because he extends he has to throw it to Jawan it's pretty easy the guy extends he knows he has Jawan boom he's already releasing the football I mean this is great stuff right here already releasing this football Joan Jennings isn't even out of his break but it's pretty easy to see here this corner is turn this way Jan jings did a good job of getting Separation on this and it leads to a big time chunk py puts it around his face mask and they're able to get another first down because of it watch the placement of the ball watch the timing watch the footwork from this angle right here here just a nice nice view to see motion K across snap it you under read the bottom of the field you see the uh flat Defender extend ball right on the face mask first down 49ers next play here empty Brock pie amazing throw here should have had a touchdown here but brand iuk dropped the ball what you're going to see happen right here is on both sides of the field they're just running some sort of Smash concept so right here kdo is going to Chip and get out on a little out route and you have Debo on top of it on a corner and you're just reading this high to low if you chose this side but because it's s garden over here Brock py probably doesn't like it so he's going to come to the other side of the field where you have Jordan Mason chipping here and then getting on a little return route you have brand auk on the corner and then you have uh Jan Jennings coming on an out and then cutting it back across kind on like a jerk route or a or a more slanted return route whatever you want to call it but you still read it high low if this corner sits on it then you're obviously going to throw the corner outout to Brandon auk if it was vice versa then you would throw this route right here down to this route and it would become a high low right here but what you're going to see py do here he sees the one-on-one coverage of brand nauk that corner drives down on Jawan Jennings fully that means you got Brandon yuk one of the best route runners in the league one-on-one put it out there towards the corner of the end zone and let your guy go win and that's exactly what he does brand auk just cannot hold on to it you cannot put that ball any better watch the placement from this angle right here you want to put the ball out in front of them where the DB can't make a play that's exactly what Brock p does I mean it's right in the Bread Basket brand iuk just has to find a way to come down with that football sucks to watch next play here the ners come out and get lined up pretty fast they've been running the ball really well all day long so they're going to get a hard hard play fake here and all they're going to run is a curl by brand nayuk you're going to have uh yek come out on a wheel route and all party's really reading is curl to will to running back coming out right here and a little check down and what you're going to see happen is when you give that hard play fake this right here is why you want to be able to run the football because it's going to find ways to get guys wide open so watch it here Hard Play Fake this safety is lost in the back field he has no idea what's going on he's all up in here while yuse cheek is running behind him and that's his man use check on the wheel I mean he's open by five yards because of that play fake all py has to do is keep it away from this safety and layer it over here make it an easy throw or easy catch and that's exactly what he does layers it over used check great catch almost is able to score a touchdown I mean this is just it's really hard to stop a team that can run the football and throw the football like the Niners do because you have to respect the Run game but you also got to worry about stuff like this at the same time right on the money huge chunk play once again so overall man while I said earlier in the video brock predy was a little bit Rusty at the start it didn't take long for him to knock that rust off he looked really good as the game went on and I think we're going to continue to see that as he plays more and more and I really do think this is a guy that has a chance to win the MVP this year because of how consistent he is but of course that's just my opinion let me know your thoughts on Brock py in the
