welcome back to the show great to have Kylie Gates be as always from Ascension Genesis Health Club on the show cuz I never know what you're going to get me into which is always fun Kevin's a little jealous though he's not working out today next time Kevin I promise uh before we get into today today's workouts let's talk about a couple of events that you have coming up yeah we have some big things coming up so September 27th that Friday morning we are dedicating our track to Grant Fisher so it's a big huge deal that's exciting yes he brought home two bronze medals from the Paris Olympics and he is from Grant blank he ran Many of Miles on our track we have a quarter mile indoor track and Grant has run there many of times and that very track is being dedicated to him so it's going to be a big deal we hope everybody um reserves their spot because we do anticipate the tickets going fast but we've saved some spots for the abc2 crew and your viewers so yes they just go to Grant fisher. eventbrite.com it should be on the screen and that's a great way to honor him by the way so many folks are rooting him on uh what else you got coming up Parkinson's walk October 5th so come out enjoy a beautiful fall morning with us there's cider and donuts involved and it's just a quarter mile Loop or a mile loop with some of our Parkinson's Champions and it helps support the $25 donation to take part helps support the program oh lovely again a walk in the park for Parkinson's you see the date there on your screen the website as well to learn more with Ascension Genesis Health Club all right today invol in waiting for our friends it is not an excuse you don't have to have fancy equipment to work out we always talk about being healthier and happier and moving more right so yes you're talking about using even everyday home objects now you gave so you can join us at home right now you can grab something right you gave me the real weights though what gra First grab the light ones so the smaller ones and we're just going to start off so there's different things that you could use around the house I'm just grabbing some water bottles we're going to do some bicep curls yes so just bicep curl be really careful that you're not dropping those arms on the down you're doing a great job people at home I was talking to the people at home well you're talking about not just doing yeah we just don't want to drop it we want to control that down y so you could flip your weight so that it's more up and down perfect that's a hammer curl so you're still going to work your bicep muscle feel the burn a little if you want to add a little bit to it you can add a calf raise to it so just always those ex I know I like the extras but you do so good with them okay let's switch up the muscle group in the upper body so your arms at a 90° and then just lift it so we're going to get more into the shoulder groups what in my wings yeah sometimes people want it slower as harder actually because you've got that you might feel that little Shake on the down the more effort you put into controlling it you feel it my friend yes and tighten up your belly tighten up your core beautiful okay so let's go to the tricep muscle so we're going to bend our knees a little bit slide your hips back and then just kick the arms back so the back of the upper part of your arms the closer to the midline of your body the better and then just kick it back okay very cool is my form okay you look good try to keep the top of your arms in place we're just moving the bottom of our arms so strong I love it good job let's switch to some lower body stuff so I'm going to have you grab your heavier weights because you're so strong and I'm going to grab the equivalent and an whole product just a gallon so it could be milk it could be water it could be anything so that's about 8 lbs and we're just going to do a squat oh got to get the squats in so try to keep your knees behind your toes and you can tell let's hold it for a second you can tell everybody because your toes wiggle a little bit your weights would push back through your heels so we can lift it up and if you want you can do that by some curl at the top always adding the extra movement right good job awesome you got it all right and we didn't even get to the cans we're out of time but as you just showed us you can use anything around the house yeah that's the whole point it doesn't have to be super challenging be safe with it of course and just have fun and move more yeah there's the information again on the Grant Fisher dedication ceremony we mentioned uh that should be great again thanks as always to Kylie Gates Barett from Ascension Genesis Health Club and uh you're always getting me pumped man getting me getting me pumped
