our way toward the end of another college football season one of the Grand Traditions is paying tribute and respect to those who their soul team ready to put on a show taking on a squad hoping to return I apologize to the seniors upper classman that's going to leave at the end of year left something me we shouldn't had to deal earn that of respect David you dang right you earn it by doing it and he's done it at such a high level everyone believes in this young man in Palmer there's a reason why you're right David he's been in the big moments and he's won the big games this guy delivers when the game is on the line the cgar want to move quickly it has been a season to forget and honesty compels us to say changes are probably coming I'm not sure I think up that's we like playing like this I'm pretty that's what just happened listen hasn't gone well you heard outside noise continuing to get louder and louder haven't met expectations and this is the business we live in college sports when you get paid a lot of money to do a job and you don't perform listen at the end of the day in college football it's results wor they've lost football games this year and so all signs right now pointing to them potentially making that change before next season they're going to stay competitive and they're going to feel the best team in program possible heading into next year that it looks as though A change is inevitable here from the gun they'll give it on the inside now that's what you're trying to do as a defense limit those damages when they run the football get them on the ground short gains to set your defense for positive situations down the way to throw it's m wide open down field and he'll take it in they couldn't get him on the ground touchdown wazu you want to talk about a great way to start the game and set the tone early so nice to have a quarterback just get himself into the game get himself established you make you lead your offense down the field you score right off the bat could not have been a better start for that QB and [Applause] he finally got a real shot godam playoffs after two years but them keeping us out this and it goes beyond executing an assignment to make an impact in the game yeah obviously we were talking to both coaching staff this week and we asked them who needs to step up and play well they immediately pointed to these guys right here they are the key for their respective teams yeah and they don't always show up in the Box for but these are the guys are the leaders these are the guys getting everybody organized and have to play well for their team to succeed and he runs through one tackle and picks up a few sometimes people say if you're good enough what's a big deal about going on the road well if you're not careful you might find out a spot like this one guys yeah no doubt about it this is a hostile environment and you know you're going to be getting the opponent's aame for this one they've circled this one all off seon so they better be ready to bring it today D and the hardest thing to do in college football is to go on the RO everything about it changes you want to shut this crowd up early you don't want to give them belief CU if it starts to build throughout the game look out a swing ahead on 30 short it's a game of first downs and they've got one after their own 37 here's this offense with a fresh set of downs wide receiver now comes in motion power football with the run really nice run there good solid pick up and they'll move the sticks with a first down here's his offense with a press set of down they'll run it to the right showing off the arms and he'll step out of bounds after a very productive Play It's just simple simple first down run showing your physicality setting your offense up in a good spot solid pick up of four on first down it's second and six quarterback checking off he wants to pass it on second down he makes the connection and how about that catch and run so dangerous this guy looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out from the 30 yd line on first [Applause] down they go to the ground and he's able to find a little bit of Running Room before they get him down you want to talk about making it easy for an offensive coordinator you pick up a bunch of yards on first down make that second down really really manageable that's a great job by the offense the playaction fake to the end off the [ __ ] angle and a big return after the sets up the off for this possession theuring the football and forcing the turnover they'll run it from the gun just working and poking and ping and finding his way up to the 36 Washington state lines up quickly they'll keep it on the ground and he gets the first down but man did he get the hit stick laid on his Noggin the offense will put it in play from the 47 on First and 10 they'll try the Run yo stop hitting him forward the [ __ ] is wrong with y'all they'll give it to the back and he was forunate not even that when you throw him forward stop doing that they'll try to snap it quickly scanning the field it's m trying to get to it and this sophomore able to wak some havoc and get the sack and listen the quarterback drops back and he's going through his progressions we see Zone but just couldn't do anything about it this defensive line this pressure get to the qub back getting him on the Ground Washington State sends out the punt unit this will be their first punt of the [Applause] afternoon wants to bring it back he'll put that return to a stop at the 33 but the offense set up in pretty good field position and now the offense will come onto the field again that last Drive was promising for a while but you just can't mess it up at the end with the pick Jesse no you've got to be able to finish drives especially in this game if you're going to win in David they've got to be able to eliminate the men on St yeah I don't think you get conserver playing safe you can trust your guy I think he put the ball right back in his hands and let him do his thing it's a beautiful pass and catch I love the job the quarterback does manipulating the defense with his eyes he Froze that safety and that allowed his receiver more room to work his route huge game before he goes out of bounds and now they've got it first and goal defense is backed up shadow of the goal post trying to defend their own End Zone they'll throw it on first down got it that completion will take it inside the four and the offense is threatening well the defense playing Zone coverage there they're taking away all the QB's primary options down the field so he has to check it down to the drag running underneath they're going back to the ground always his way into the end zone for a touchdown this offense is so good man they can hurt you in so many different ways and they do it so quick so explosive they can put small Drives together big Drives together they've really had a great year and that's why they're a top 10 offense lining up for the p and it's perfect quick work on that scoring drive just four plays and they finish it off with the score from the four after that latest answer tied things up just about says to kick it away again out of the end didn't find any in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 Washington state has it back and the off on the field they to be able to cash in on this drive David after having to pun it last time yeah and I think this offense needs to start it with the first play you need to be successful and productive on that first play and it gets you in less predictable situations no doubt to don't you just feel like there's a little bit just keeps moving ack up and moving the sticks for a first down defense is going to have their hands full trying to stop this guy they better rally to the football and get multiple hats cuz he is not easy to bring down a stri [Applause] down probably two or three games in a row they all ran a similar play The Well running back and somebody and y'all didn't cover them at all y'all not notice that they running that [ __ ] that direction or and vertically down the field two pass and touchdowns now early for this offense he'll start the return inside SP he was looking for more Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 guys this offense will go back on the attack wide receiver shows motion quarterback will audible he's looking to throw it he's got his man he's R out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down nice job by the receiver there running the drag route against Zone coverage finding the soft spot making it easy on his quarterback to get the completion he turns it up field and he moves the sticks off play action on first down Hees it deep and it falls incomplete and the offense is lucky to have it Defender right there almost had it in his grbs and I know most offensive coaches they're going to be thrilled taking all these 5050 shots against man coverage I don't know though if they want to keep testing that defensive back he has been on fire and a good pick up there before the defense knocks him down they plow ahead with the run but still more ground needed to pick up the first down third down coming they'll stick to the ground looking for the marker and boy is Clos to that first down maybe just a couple of inches short and the O will stay out there and go for it on Fourth and inches try to get it on the ground tackled after picking up the first down and I don't care where you're at on the field fourth in inches I like me I like my chances of getting that running a play I feel comfortable with getting the first [Applause] down they'll leave it with [Applause] him and after the stop that is going to put a bow on this first [Applause] quarter we have the early makings of a back duel as these stats will show you they've swapped into the field and we're ready to go in the second we'll get this quarter going with a second down play quickly complete they make the stop right there good pick up it's still short of the first down one of the things that makes this guy so dangerous is how good he is after the catch if he's got any space around him he's able to burst he's able to make people miss and get extra yards for his offense you saw it right there he gets it oh so close to the first down marker but I think he's going to be a touch [Applause] they'll try to pick up the first tackle is made after the first down good spot on the field to go for it they make it pay off not willing to settle for a field goal on this drive yeah and re I just don't know if field goals are going to win this game honestly I think to win I think you need tutes so this offense needs to stay on the field stay aggressive and try and capitalize after picking up that first down and he was just a couple of steps away from taking that one even further after the [Applause] catch now from inside the Red Zone makes the grab on the left they stop him almost immediately short gain there and still a little ground to cover to pick up the [Applause] first operating in the Red Zone here on second down [Applause] the G to the left side they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one how about the defender being a heat seeking missile he was on radar lock he found the football and flew down with his bad intentions really need to pick up this conversion and avoid having to settle for the field goal on third down going up top coming after him he's moving out of the pocket and here God damn behind theine ball what I found the offense keeps it it's fourth down and they'll try the field goal and he'll try to knock it through from the right hash and 35 yds out field goal is good after putting up a three spot the kickoff unit set to [Applause] go and no chance at a return here they'll start this drive at their own 25 here comes the wazu offense onto the field again boy David they would love to stack another touchdown on top of that last drive and this offense did such a good job on the last Drive everything rhym move the ball down the field didn't make those mistakes Jesse and they need to do it again on yeah you're right they had the defense on their heels you wonder what sort of communication was going on that sideline what sort of changes were they able to make because they got to stop the bleeding right now he'll try to pop the draw St as they move the chain and they have a first down at the 38 Washington State going quick the give to the running back from the shotgun Crea good effort on that one to work his way up to the 42 after the productive first down play it's second and six they'll run it out of the shotg why did you lead a middle so nice game Washington state has it all working right now first down from the gun the running back looking for room really what are we doing [ __ ] [Music] T headed to this drive all on the ground it's first and 10 they're threatening to score and they'll throw it quick strike complete and they'll stop him inside the five but the defense is backed up in the shadow of its own goal post going to work in the Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone looking to throw it's Mater pressure coming nowhere close on that one as he got drilled trying to deliver the football and now they face third down they'd love to pick up this third down and get a fresh set with first and goal on Third and short they'll try to throw for it touchdown Washington State and they add six more to the board with the down close to the line great job by the tight end on his route that touch and with the extra point it's a 21 game to kick it off what the [ __ ] was that WI a cover two that mean no one leaves that [ __ ] area guess what you did you left that [ __ ] area return you left the area wide the [ __ ] open but not much to be found as he stopped the 18 and the offense heads out onto the field to get the drive start leaves it with the back they stop him after a 6yd run out to the 24 got six on first down now a lot of options on second and four wide receiver coming across in motion now the quarterback changing the original play call [Applause] that's wants to fire on second down gets it out quickly finally way run out of bounds but he has this off rolling with a first down when you run those drag routes just takes a little bit of noow and when I say that receivers got to understand find Space my quarterback's going to find me he's looking for that space at the same time nice throw nice catch way to get the first down [Applause] give to the running back able to scr three yard out of that one somehow it's second and seven got a little work done on first down now back to the [Applause] line to the ground with the back makes his man miss and excellent Vision to find Running Room and make a really good pick up before the defense put a stop to it defense is going to have their hands full trying to get this guy in the ground man he's got some serious moves once he has the ball in his hands now across the 50 at the 48 yd line they'll have it first and 10 the give to the bat nice solid form tackle and the running back didn't get much there nice job by the defense you can tell they focus on this running back on this run game being physical getting knock backs and limiting his carries yo what the [ __ ] now they're going to throw it looking to the big tight end [ __ ] [ __ ] taking it the other way and they capitalize not only on the pick but the great return to give the off tremendous field position this is obviously not a great start for this quarterback here two interceptions already in this game he's got to do a much better job with his decision Washington state has it back and they'll send the offense onto the field throws to the wide out catch in the middle it's Freeman and you can see the offense just feeling itself they've got it down to the 21 I love that play call quart back are always licking their chops after their defense gets a takeway because they know now hey I've got a sudden change situation I've got a chance to take a shot and Pad my stats looking to move it through the air and he'll Chuck it into the cheap seats there and save the down nobody getting open there line getting set on second down dropping back it's Baer unloads to the wide out and the timing just a hair off sometimes as a quarterback when you're feeling the Rhythm and you're feeling yourself you just want to keep taking shots right this guy's already thrown three touchdown passes he saw the look he like decided to Let Her Fly haven't seen a lot of balls fall incomplete especially deep down the field that one did but I'd expect this guy to keep letting it go fires toward the end zone and it's caught touchdown cougar how about the off they spread them out everybody spread wide easier to read a defense when you do that they find the match up they want and they get rewarded with and with the extra point they're on top by 18 quick work on that scoring drive just four so we don't know what the [ __ ] deep coverage is no more kick here he comes from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 and the offense out of the field to go back to work they find themselves in a pretty deep hole here but maybe a chance to grab a little momentum and regroup at halftime yeah a big chance like this is this is an opportunity this is the biggest opportunity in front of them he unleashes a long one and complete that would have been a huge game if he could have held on came into this game knowing that this guy bro you got to [ __ ] be kidding me with that going be for this defense to get him on the ground I love the athleticism I love his ability to extend the play just got to be able to and the sack all the way back at the five the defense going to stop the clock with the timeout they want to make sure they have everybody on the same page not exactly the ideal situation for this offense third and long back up inside looking to take a shot snags it down the right side and a pick up of better than 30 yard on that completion before the defense brings him [Applause] down lost to throw on first down the why all the passes by every passes behind the receiver St [Applause] trying to find his man on first down find shot trying to deliver that All Passes behind get get them [ __ ] on tget man tightning protection and that time the quarterback got hit right before he let it go and that's why that ball fell incomplete got his man quickly they make the stop but the sweet Ru catches to give him a first down now lining up to snap it in the Red Zone quarterback changing the plays at the line looking to pass inside the Red Zone and he'll make the grab along the side line but he's not able to get to the first down Mark nice job there good timing between the QB and the wide receiver executing that out rout going to work on second down in the the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first [Applause] down trying play action moves away as he feels pressure and the heat I'm pressing the [ __ ] button it's not doing anything what the [ __ ] now facing a third and [Applause] long fast motion from the [Applause] offense third down he'll try to pick it up through the air the quick out they'll try to put three on the board as the field goal unit comes on we got a timeout here in the first half and they'll try to get more points on the board before the break and on fourth down they'll try to put three on the board it is good that late and a half field goal always gives you a little boost going to the locker room and they'll need to finish off these final few seconds and not allow them to answer and he first 25 just a few seconds remaining here as they try to put something up before [Applause] halftime from the gun the G looking for room and he's tackled but there's also a flag on the field let's see what the call is that penalty moves the ball back 10 yds will repl the down holding the whole [ __ ] time y'all ain't called the [ __ ] off set on first down from the gun they'll try to impose their will stop hitting them forward dude I don't know what part of this is we've got a multi possession lead to break down thanks to the surgical Precision of this offense might honestly take more time to talk about what didn't work than what did the running game the passing game Gadget plays have worked now it's just a matter of finishing the job and with that let's send it back to the the fellows on the Poo at Morton Stadium thanks for that halftime report Kevin Washington state has it teed up and we're ready to go here in the second half on the run from inside his own five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 out comes the offense as they get set to take over down two possessions to start this third they' love to build some early momentum you ain't lying cuz you only got so many possessions here in the second half so now you're down I got to maximize every single one put your best plays together start this drive off on a good night yeah it starts right here obviously you can't get it all back on this drive but you can create that momentum you can create something special and some energy but it's going to start with this offense here executing at a high Lev they'll give it to him again sweet feed on the move I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points 6yd pickup on first down leaves him with second and four he's looking to throw he rifles one deep to the left incomplete thanks to the great defensive pressure there that sort of threw the out of R this is going to be a key that we look at this entire game how can this defense find ways to affect this quarterback and get pressure on him because they felt coming into the game if they could do that they could affect him and influence this passing game B snap it from the gun on third down receiver looks it in it's complete and they'll move the chains and get it to the 47 yd line 4 these two guys just on the same wavelength they make clutch connections all the time and that's practice man that's all summer that's all spring just so many hundreds and hundreds and thousands of balls where you know exactly when that guy's going to break you know he's a stud you're going to feed him especially on these third down situations and here comes the offense on second down looking to throw it again trying to burn this defensive back and that's going to be INE we get one of y'all to be able to beat somebody multiple TDS but they got brought back down to very quick in the first half of this game so here they are now early in the third quarter they're trying to get some of that mojo back taking a shot I like the aggressiveness off the play fake and they couldn't hold up the heat and he goes down with a sack and here comes the [Applause] where the [ __ ] are you way the [ __ ] out there what kind of [ __ ] Punk cover do y'all run to where the people run way the hell out there cuz I don't understand it it makes no sense to me at all line [Applause] from the gun the running back tries to hit the hole he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three Washington state lines up quickly and sometimes for the defense it just takes one play right to create some momentum obviously this guy's been eating him up he's got over a 100 yards rushing on the day but finally David they get something positive here in the Run game defensively but you kind of know that coming in he's going to get his such a great back and he's had a great day need to put more plays together like that right there and offensively we know it's hard throwing the ball in third and long situations because the defense can play Big Zone coverages they got a lot of guys with their eyes on you so the QB had no shot there nobody open nice job not forcing it not risking a turn just throwing it away bro you could fight and then they'll crank up this drive from the 30 yd line [Applause] the give to the back nice move there dragged down after a pick up of five out to the 35 halfway there on first down it's second and five here's y'all missed the [ __ ] block just so y'all know you missed defense man it helps you a lot when you could be a linebacker or a corner or some safety anybody and you see the QB throw the football now I can break on the football right away and limit gains like right here on this play from the gun on third down shoots it to the left and he can't grab the bullet pass on third down that [ __ ] like the aggressiveness on Third and short trying to throw the football take advantage of a look that they got they weren we got a I get we ain't play in a few days what the [ __ ] are we doing with AIT def in they're going to go for it on fourth down gets it out fast he knew exactly where he wanted to go with that one and they've got enough for the first down offense quick Tempo you always hear run the route deep enough to get the first down but if you don't you better fight your way there and he did yeah nice job listen catch the football understand fourth and the situation and then go get that first down don't dilly d don't try to make a home run play get past the sticks nice job of understanding that situation they'll spread the defense out going five wide on second and 10 he's looking to throw unloads to the out excellent coverage and good of the so the ball flew over your head Nobody seen the ball maybe I should try to catch this away telegraphing where he's throwing the football and it's making life really hard on wide out in motion quarterback making adjustments with his receivers on Third and long he has to throw for it got him in it's Chambers he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense well look that wasn't a touchdown that was a massive play for this offense they needed some momentum they needed to find a rhythm in what better way than converting on Third Awesome [Applause] by I wish I stop getting hit couldn't get it to the receiver this offense has a second down play the run to the [Applause] right really 52 that's a goddamn safety in front of you well you just let a safy walk through [Applause] you R the 79 you blocking out yes a listen his team obviously down in this game but it's not his fault I mean this guy showed up to play he's been churning out big play after big play already over a 100 yds rushing in this game he's carrying his weight he needs his buddies around him now to pick up the slack a little bit to help get this team back in the game they make the stop at the 5 yd line but they've got it first and goal the offense threatening close to the end zone now with a new set of downs turning to the running game on first and goal and into the end zone for a touchdown got to start cutting into this lead somewhere now the question will they have enough time but that's step one you got to get that first score you got to get back in the ball game get some of that momentum back on your side you still got more work to do but step one accomplished looking for the two-point try off play action buys a little time with his feet fires into traffic it's picked off this [ __ ] pick some [ __ ] off wouldn't even his [ __ ] Direction lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown Drive [ __ ] sucking in the red and it'll come out to the 25 no attempt at a return Washington state has it back and they'll send the offense onto the field they still have the lead here Jessie but this would be a good time to put together a drive you're right re you can't rest easy right now you just watch the opponent Drive touchdown of their own got answer that here your Playmakers better step up I don't know I hate that [ __ ] [ __ ] that they Bunch up like that instead of [ __ ] spacing like they're supposed to you got to get it back motion from the offense dropping back it's theer and it's in that was all incomplete because he overthrew it you wouldn't what the [ __ ] you was supposed to be again the [ __ ] is that aw didn't get much picked up a yard and that will leave y'all keep doing this Washington St will have to boot you're motion they'll come out on this drive and let it rip they get enough crush and it pays off the sack of the 20 and there's no mystery as to why this team's losing today they've given up five sacks they cannot keep their quarterback upright you just saw another example of it right there he has never been able to get into r them throwing the football on second down wants to throw quickly complete they bring him down but a solid pick up to put them in position to pick up a first down guys on the back field now it's not just run the ball down anymore you got to be versal I got to be able to trust you in the pass game and I got to be able to throw you the football and you can do that right there I know you're going to catch it and I can depend on you trying to move the sticks on third down through the air what the [ __ ] are y'all doing te Mak way onto the field doesn't say much for your drive when you're looking forward to the punt on the return it's Freeman returns like that are why you don't settle for the fair catch if you don't have to picks up just a little bit of yards to help out the O plenty of time for one more snap before the end of the quarter looking for a physical attack from the gun they get him on the ground and that'll be the final play of this third period that's the end of the quarter and Washington state has the lead let's take a quick look at the national rankings to see how this playoff race is shaping up one quarter to go and might we have the makings of a classic fourth quarter fish fin we'll start the quarter offense about to snap it on second down back to throw it's theer fires to the tight end Washington State going quickly looking to throw safe comp on the screen R play still couldn't get through the fu to the line with a new set of downs everything went right on that play except the receiver going out of Bend it's late in the fourth you've got the lead you're just trying to bleed the clock as much as possible just got to have better Awareness on the field from the gun they'll try to impose their running game defense there to make the stop after a pick up of two to the 30 picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down trying to make that Rush think on the draw play here slamed to the ground but not before he gets the first down maybe this will breath a little life into this offense which has been flatlined in the second half here's first and 10 The Freshman able to get home with the sack the second down that offense having to deal with the last thing you want on first down giving up a sack as they come up to the line on second down just a short pass to the tight end then at all the makings up bug meet windshield but how about the little corner taking on the big tight end and keeping him from getting the first from the shotgun the hand off to the back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple and the defense is going to have to have more plays like that he has had a ball game so far running wild all day long defense finally comes up at the stop maybe get a little momentum here over 100 yards already in this game so if I'm on defense here I'm adding more guys to the Box methodical and generate some first downs and March down the field throws for the tight end mother fuete and they desperately needed to keep that drive going and they couldn't make the connection here comes the wazu offense onto the field again guys that last trip a little disappointing having to take the three yeah I think Jesse you see so many offens talk about getting yards and the tempo and all the stuff they do nice job moving the football but they got to get in the end zone this time yeah and I think to do that they just got to be more physical at the point why are we missing [ __ ] passes like everyone's dropping every [ __ ] thing push up front they need to be the best running team in this game here they come to try it again on second and 10 from the 29 misfired on the last play they'll go back to the air and it's intercepted maybe breathing a little life into this team trying to take it back strolls into the end zone for a touchdown how fast did this game just change offense in the lead with the football looking great defense makes the big play we've got ourselves a ball game now I'm just surprised about that jump the [ __ ] r or even been close to the [ __ ] person catching the ball good [ __ ] ling up to add another and it's up and good as they draw Just a Touch closer they'll kick it off and send that defense back out there to try to score again after the don't way we're going to [ __ ] score fast has be defense offense ain't catching worth the damn right now I don't know what it isington the field that last pick six after a drive like that David can swing the momentum of a game the defense is still celebrating I mean such a big play I mean they they gave up some yards but did what they're supposed to do now Jesse this put a d again yeah they have to recapture some momentum here what they can't do is go three and out and give the ball right back leades it with the back and the defense holds firm no pick up at all on that play Washington state over that interception and that loss last week I know he's thrown a pick in this one but he's looked much more certain and what you ask quarterbacks to do nowadays and how much you put on their plate one mistake is okay those usually aren't the ones that are going to kill you so one mistake backto back weeks that's fine you just can't make multiple but the team's winning this week which is the most important stat that he cares about looking to pass on second down what is [ __ ] nobody there yo this [ __ ] don't make [ __ ] sense good job creating the matchs they want out of the slot yeah dude get that guy matched up on a linebacker that guy matched up on a safety keep him away from the corners by putting him in the slot get him the football let him make play just didn't seem like the quarterback and his intended target were on the same page there second and 10 he'll throw again using the quick game and the defense settled in to stop that one for a short gain already well within field goal range wonder how aggressive they'll be on Third and long from the 22 looking downfield it's [Applause] theer oh what the [ __ ] CG they push that lead out a really good opportunity to get back in the wind column if this dude were a kitchen KN you would be slicing tomatoes so thin your in-laws would never come back to your house well that'd be a good thing I don't know if I want my in-laws to come back anyways but he's been on fire he's been absolutely torturing this defense they've had absolutely no answers for him and they desperately wanted to attempt a return but decided not to instead return for you [ __ ] don't want to do [ __ ] right drive and it led to giving up a scoring Drive David yeah and everybody wants to oh he's going to try to get it all here makes a catch on the left and they were looking for a chunk play and they got it the explosive picks up more than 30 well how about the offense setting that play up we've seen earlier in the game a couple shorter throws they just trying to suck those safeties closer to the line of scage anticipa yo they're sitting four people at the 44 I think this quarterback now at this point is looking over the sideline saying hey can we just not throw it anymore I mean my guys they can't block for me I've got no chance back here we need to just run the ball from this point out quickly complete he's run out of they're sending for fely huming as they come to the line again they'll throw it on first down he's got his man makes the grab he's brought down quickly minimal gain there still a bit short of the first down he'll send out five wide receivers on second and four he's looking to throw quarterback adapting and he got smacked just as he released the pass it's incomplete and the quarterback gets hit again we already know this defense has gotten home to him multiple times in this game so here you are you're trailing in the game defense knows you're going to throw it they're pinning their ears back you can't feel very confident right now if you're the play caller certainly if you're the quarterback that you're going to have time to throw yeah third and short they choose not to run throw the football and I think a lot of that has to do with they know they're in field goal range they can take the three points on the board inom on fourth down and man did they need to keep that drive alive no man this [ __ ] didn't even get hit bro what the [ __ ] was that they'll start this drive from the 18 yd line smart move to keep it on the ground get some work done there pick up of four to the 22 Washington State going quickly a nice way to go into the postseason and eventually the offseason with aw but the question is will it be enough to keep the Wolves at Bay it's a great way to punctuate the season you just have to wonder though if there were too many elves on the schedule to keep this guy around next yeah I mean it's the whole body of work right you finish strong strong but what does everybody look at like how many games do you win who do you beat is important right do you beat your Rivals like there's so much more do you have the team's ears still so there's a lot that goes into decision making but it was definitely a disappointing season this is a big pressure moment for the offense too because they've got the lead but it's now third down on their own side of the field they would love nothing more than to be able to convert this stay on the field keep bleeding the clock but the defense I'd expect them to bring pressure here trying to force the ball out of the QB's hands quickly and he's got enough for the first down it'll be at the 35 these situations are preached so much in college football finishing a game strong understanding circumstances they are running the football right at you trying to keep that clock moving get a few first downs and get a w the Cougars come to the line with a fresh set of [Applause] downs leaves it with the running [Applause] back you got to believe they just want to run it take care of the football and keep that Clau moving on second and [Applause] nine hand off from the shotgun oh on his at the 45 and they drag him down buto
