double header today all right so the Phillies are playing a little bit later tonight they'll play at 6:40 p.m. eastern time but they could use a little bit of some help from the Toronto Blue Jays and hopefully they can try to beat the Mets and uh cut the magic number of getting into the playoffs down to nine so we're doing two games today these games now matter a Mets loss and a Braves loss is equivalent to a Philly's win as well uh so Shan manah is going to be on the bump today left-handed pitcher for the New York Mets who uh on the season so far has a 157 and a third inning under his belt along with a 3.43 earned run average as well and an 11 and five record does have 163 strikeouts uh and also 56 walks allowed and 18 homers allowed on the season so far the guy that he's going to be going up against is Bowden Francis so Francis has an 8 and4 record along with a 3.72 ER and a N9 whip as well last time that he pitched he actually went up against the Phillies and uh Phillies were able to get three runs off of him including two homers and uh Bowden only went six Innings he had six strikeouts six hits allowed and he's looking for a little bit of redemption he didn't really have a bad outing his last time but the Phillies were just able to get the important runs off of him and uh the blue JS are looking to try to get a win all right so let's go to the live stream make sure second base he's batting in the two hole Mark ventos playing over at third base batting third Brandon nmo is playing out in left field and we be batting in the queen up spot and then it's pet Lonzo is playing over at first base and he'll be batting fifth uh JD Martinez is dhing in this afternoon's game and will be batting Sixth and then Starley Marte is playing out in right field batting seventh in the lineup for the Mets eighth will be uh Francisco Alvarez who is catching behind the plate and Harrison Bader who is playing out in center field will be batting in the ninth spot so again it's Lindor elius Vientos nmo Alonzo Martinez Marte Alvarez and Bader and that is the lineup for the New York Mets how about sha manah who is uh going to be on the bump for the for the New York Mets he has a 64 614 op on Fast balls which is the second lowest in all Major League Baseball and we'll get to him in just a little bit but uh this should be a good game the Mets are 79 and 66 on the season they have a 39 and 32 record on the road and after this game they're coming to the bank and they'll take on the Phillies for a three-game set that's going to be a very very big series for both teams um today is 911 I do want to take a moment and uh just acknowledge uh it's hard to believe man it's been 23 years since 9/11 did happen and I wanted to make sure that we you know take a moment to uh to honor those people that we ended up losing today um on this day 23 years ago and uh for the people that really fought uh during that really tragic day as well uh all the lives and all the people that fought uh during that it's uh it's a lot so just wanted to throw that out there too we're thinking about them they're in our hearts they're in our thoughts and they're in our prayers and that's the there is no baseball for any of these teams so we're taking the day off and then Friday we got Phillies and Mets we got that game that we're going to do and then we'll scoreboard watch the Braves Dodgers game and then on Saturday Phillies play the Mets at 410 and right after that we'll do the Braves game same thing with Sunday and uh see how things go and then depending on what happens with the Phillies if the magic number to get into the playoffs is down to two by Monday night we're not doing the Eagles game we're doing the Phillies game so I hope that that makes sense because that is possible that it could go down to two of just getting into the playoffs and I want to be there for that so that's your little rundown so basically what we're doing is we're doing the Phillies game tonight after this tomorrow we have the off day Friday we're doing the Phillies and then we're scoreboard watching the rest of the Braves game Saturday we got a double header and Sunday we got a getting pretty tight over there it's uh coming a tight race the Padre's are 82 and 64 the Diamondbacks are 81 and 64 the Mets are Mets and the Braves are 79 66 and if you look back a little bit the Chicago Cubs they've won their last three games and they're four games behind the Mets and the Braves so just keep an eye on them and don't lose sight of how they're doing the Cubs uh have actually uh just throwing across it was interesting the ball is one strike as Luke's is is going to take a strike down the heart and so of the plate and he foul the next pitch off correct correct man 02 pitch there's a line drive diving catch by Lindor and he flips it to Vientos and he makes the barehanded catch Lindor didn't think he was going to have a good grip of the baseball and so he just sort of flicked it to Vientos and it just landed into his bare hand that was just a play of trust what a play that's going to go down as a 65 line out never seen anything like that before but the inning is over and we head to the top of the fourth that was pretty ridiculous I thought maybe Lindor first caught it but he didn't have a good grip of it and just flinged it right over to Vientos and he caught it with his bare hand that's pretty insane never know what you're gonna see at the Ballpark sometimes so it's AB of the fourth coming up and Lindor will lead things off if y'all could just s me a fantastic for them uh they've had a lot of guys that have really stepped up and you know JD Martinez has done a good job Alvarez Francisco Alvarez that was a big swing he needed that he did he needed that so uh they definitely have a crew that can step up and you definitely do not want to take them lightly and the Phillies are going to have quite a weekend I'll tell you that it should be a really good matchup I don't think it's going to be easy at all uh six Run ninth inning for them today and they've played really good baseball against some pretty pretty good teams uh overall so just want to say that the Phillies just cannot take them so lightly because if they do that then that could really backfire against the fighting all right uh so yeah that's pretty much all I got in regards to tonight's game I do want to go into the Philly talk a little bit uh but before I do that Bowden Francis man shout out to you I know that you uh I know that you were coming back out there for the top of the ninth should he have done should John Schneider have done that I believe so because they the the Blue Jays don't really have much to play for and uh it just it would have been a really really
