WINONA RYDER & JUSTIN THEROUX talking about the after life BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE Interview funny

[Music] how's it going I'm fine I'm so fine hope you are fine too I'm very fine yeah every time let me start as I ever wanted to start well I want you to gets to know this is a safe space so to express yourself don't be afraid how was it being being in this movie that was a that sums it up yeah it was it was I thought it was Heaven it was Heaven it was one of those jobs it was one of those jobs I know people say that and don't mean it so how do we and we've been guilty of that but well I've never said heaven when I hit a disaster but for real for real this was an absolute dream it depressing to leave set yeah we all got sad at end days we go back to a hotel room we we would stick around didn't you be off camera yeah any inserts I'm going to go look at that other set that I don't work on what was the most funniest part for you to shoot oh I mean the entire finale sequence where we're all dancing in the church that was really really fun just cuz a all the actors worked in that it was it was it was everybody yeah every every day was special in its own way I'm I'm actually honestly trying to think of like a hard day or a nonf fun day there were none there were none m i wonder like if I had been in a bad place in my life I think this movie would have cheered me up like making it I don't even think I could have been in a bad you know like there's those jobs where you're like yeah and you go back to your trailer and you're like oh God is this going this was like yeah it was like medicine in a weird way like it was just like I don't know it was just such a such a joy it was a joy to make it it was a joy to be around everybody it was a joy to work with this guy who's so brilliant my God for real thank you and um and and just be in this like world that Tim creates and and that's so um unique and strange and but we feel very safe in in terms of trying things I feel like safe can be one of those words where it's like oh playing it safe like that's it's like safe in the way that you know he's not going to use something that doesn't yeah you could be creative as you want to be and you can go like yeah as far as you want to go with something and then it'll rain it in when ited and and and is liberating like so if that makes sense like is you feel so free and safe at the same time because you you trust him so completely but how important is it for you because you told this was like medicine because I know how hard Hollywood is how hard the industry is so how how how how good was it for your soul being on this project so good it it's it's it's like um it's whatever what it's like it's it comes down from the top so it's like Tim creates this environment you also see you know we obviously all know Tim's work she's worked with Tim before a million times so you know that like you're already Prime to have a good time and so then by the time you get to set all that work is already done the sets are beautiful the costumes are stunning and then it's just like it's sort of like being sandbox and it's also just a I think a testament to Great producers because we didn't feel like the studio was there giving notes or concerned about like I didn't sense that I felt very independent weone making movie yeah yeah like for real and that was that was very much like the first one I don't think anybody knew including like me and like we didn't expect that the first one to be come what it became and that Tim like somehow got that same energy on this one so even with all of the buzz and you know anticipation it we somehow were like in this bubble that felt really just it was a wonderful place to be yeah it has a big fandom look at all this dressed up fans so we' been on two big red carpets uh V Venice and yesterday in London so how was it for you being on the red carpet and preventing your new movie I know course I mean it's it was surreal yeah I mean it's in Mexico it was crazy there were so many like rabid fans of Beetlejuice so it's you know it's one of those things it's lived in pop culture DNA for so long and that it almost has become this wallpaper you know and then with the second movie coming out it's like the wallpapers coming back to life and everyone sort of coming out of the woodwork and yeah and uh there's is there's sort of like a lack of like there's no sort of cynical thing about it like it's bringing out even like the two cool for school people who are like don't ever touch the you know like are like excited you know and and like all the different Generations the people that were my age when they saw it people that were you know like all the you know it's it's about three generations so well more movie The First movie like really appealed I think to outside Outsiders people who felt like they were Outsiders cuz Tim I think is sort of the ultimate Outsider and so anyone who has that kind of you know take on themselves it's sort of like oh this is finally a movie for me you know yeah and uh William def told me a very great story that he had some ghost experience in some kind of a house of ghosts did you ever had any equal experience or or did you believe maybe in some Supernatural thing I I mean I definitely don't rule it out I'm I don't have like any do I feel like I must have ghost I've had like weird things weird Kismet things coincidences coincidences that just seem like yeah like this how could this person have known that you know but not uh specifically ghosts no I I not that come to mind nothing like good enough to be a story but did you believe in some things uh that we can't see that is oh yeah you have to I think because I I remember the first time that I someone that I love past I I was I was like a I was 15 and I I couldn't wrap my head around it and I remember I I was was helped by like they're still with us you know like they're still they're you know I actually great John Doe was working with him I and and he was like you know the energy it you know it's there and he's here you know like all that you kind of have to and I still believe that when I die I'm going to see every dog that I've ever owned yeah I have to believe that and I'm just going to like hang out with Carl Sean I don't know that's what my like that's that's what I hope happens and all of my loved ones of course but definitely Carl thank thank you so much I GRE up with Carl SE and his show you know thank you so much
