CBS NEWS NEW YORK'S TIME TONY AIELLO AS MORE NOW ON THEIR DIAMONDS. >> A STEADY DRUMBEAT PROVIDED THE SOUNDTRACK FOR STRIKING WORKERS AT THE HYATT REGENCY GREENWICH. 132 MEMBERS , THEY RUN THE BANQUETS, COOK THE FOOD, CLEAN THE ROOMS. HER CONTRACT WITH HYATT EXPIRED SATURDAY, THEY BEGAN A THREE-DAY STRIKE ON SUNDAY. LET'S YOU KNOW EVERYTHING IS GOING UP, ALL THE PRICES ARE GOING UP, AND OUR WAGES ARE STILL THE SAME. WITH HOTELS ENJOYING A POST-COVID TRAVEL BOOM. STAFFING LEVELS HAVE DROPPED, REMAINING WORKERS ARE DOING MORE WITH LESS. THE STRIKE IN SELECT CITIES AT A HANDFUL OF HOTELS INTENDED TO SEND A MESSAGE DURING NEGOTIATIONS. >> OUR HOPE IS THROUGH THE ACTION THAT WE ARE TAKING, WHICH IS NORMALLY THE LAST RESORT, THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO BE HEARD AND GET BACK ON TRACK SOON. >>> THE HIGH IT REMAINS OPEN DURING THIS.
