K STATE FOOTBALL WILL START 2024 AT NUMBER 18 IN THE PRESEASON AP POLL. HOW ABOUT THAT? 27 SPORTS REPORTER LANDON REINHARDT WENT TO MANHATTAN, AND HE GIVES US A YOUNG BREAKDOWN PLAYER TO REALLY WATCH HERE TO BREAK OUT IN HIS FIRST GAME IN JUST ABOUT THREE WEEKS FROM NOW. LAST K-STATE FOOTBALL FALL CAMP PRACTICE OPEN TO MEDIA TODAY. SO THE NEXT TIME WE'LL SEE THESE GUYS IS GAME ONE AGAINST UT MARTIN. HERE'S A FEW THINGS THAT STUCK OUT. WE GOT TO SEE AVERY JOHNSON THROW THE DEEP BALL TODAY. THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF A SHORTER CONNECTION HERE WITH DANTE CEPHUS. BUT STILL OVER 45 YARDS IN THE AIR AND JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE ELSE. HE CONNECTED AND LOOKED REALLY GOOD. BUT WE TALKED TO DEFENSIVE COACHES TODAY AND ONE PLAYER THAT REALLY STICKS OUT IS SOPHOMORE DEFENSIVE END JORDAN ALLEN. I THINK JORDAN HAS THE ABILITY TO MAKE A LOT OF PLAYS JUST BECAUSE OF HIS HIS PHYSICAL ABILITY. YOU KNOW, HE I MEAN, HE'S BIG. HE CAN RUN. HE'S VERY STRONG AND EXPLOSIVE. UM, YOU KNOW, WHEN HE LEARNS HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME, HE'S HE'S GOING TO BE FORCED TO RECKON WITH REALLY REFRESHING. COME IN AND AND BE A GUY WHO IS ACCEPTING ANY ROLE THAT HE GETS. AND AND AND IS COMPETING AS HARD AS HE CAN TO MAXIMIZE THOSE ROLES. AND I THINK HE'S GOING TO BE A REALLY GOOD PLAYER FOR US. AND THIS FALLS FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY SINGLE DEFENSIVE GROUP THIS YEAR. A LOT OF EXPERIENCE AND THE STARTING SPOT. BUT WHEN YOU GO TO THE BACKUPS, THE DEPTH, THESE ARE VERY TALENTED, BUT NOT A LOT OF EXPERIENCED YOUNGER GUYS, UNDERCLASSMEN, ALL THE TOWN IN THE WORLD, JUST IF THEY CAN GET THE SYSTEM RIGHT, THEY CAN STEP
