well charger fans it has officially happened the LA Chargers have made a big time trade to helping out their quarterback room find out the details here on charger [Music] Syndicate what's going on bolb charger fans welcome to charger Syndicate if it is your first time here on the Channel Jake Silva here like subscribe hit the Bell button keep you up to dat on future imp pass videos well this just broke out literally about like a few minutes ago but the LA Chargers have made a decision in what we've been talking about now in previous live streams and even in previous videos that the Chargers needed to address a backup quarterback they listened and they finally got one so the LA Chargers have acquired backup quarterback Taylor hinei from the Atlanta Falcons for a conditional sixth round pick I absolutely was pumped up for this one because Taylor hinei at the end of the day clearly is a better competitor than Easton stick and you know again no hard feelings at the end of the day but Easton stick you know he was not cutting out for us and I think that's initially with what was on the back of Joe Ortiz and Jim Harbaugh's mind but bringing in a guy like Taylor hinek who has played at the high level and a guy that has experienced what it takes to be a competitor and now he's going to be sharing the room with Justin Herbert I mean how like how excited can you possibly get for this one so looking at Taylor hinei and his career since 2017 with the Houston Texans and then jumped to the Carolina Panthers before going into at one point the Washington football team and then became the commanders and then the Atlanta Falcons so all through his career in 38 games that he's played and including the 16 games he's played in 2021 Taylor heiki he's thrown in 38 games 604 completions with a 62 and a half completion percentage with six over 66 100,000 uh 6600 yards um 39 touchdowns and 28 picks and has a rating of 84.2 you know my one big thing about Taylor hinei is that he will find ways to improvise and at the same time he can get the offense flowing this is precisely what charger fans have been dying to look for because I was initially scared that if the Chargers were not going to address the backup quarterback position and that they had full confidence and faith in um in uh eastn stick that would have spell bad news so to me personally I love the move I I think the Chargers now get themselves a capable insurance policy for Justin Herbert at the end of the day because if something was to happen Taylor hinaki is experienced he's competitive he's also somebody that went toe-to-toe with the great Tom Brady so he knows what it means to be competitive now we know obviously with what it means as being a starter but you know what for a capable backup I ain't mad at this I absolutely loved it um this was one that was not so much a shocker in a way but it certainly was one that I am fully excited fully confident on and I think Taylor hinei is really going to do some great things with this Chargers room in the quarterback room and um really giving more of that Competitive Edge that the Chargers know that they want and need it that's it guys here on Chargers cicit on this video like subscribe hit the Bell button keep you up to date on future and B videos Jake Sila signing up and we'll see you guys in the next video on charger Syndicate take care guys and bolt up we're close to starting the season so let's get ready for
