Chargers make a move to continue to bolster this great defense we've been seeing in the preseason details on that here on Chargers [Music] Syndicate what's going on you guys Jake Silva here on Chargers Syndicate Giving You Everything La Chargers news and so much more if it is your first time on the channel I encourage you guys to like subscribe hit the Bell button keep you up to date on future and past videos so there's been some big news for the Chargers as you know we're getting ready and getting geared up for week one but they have not been quite done with making some uh underrated deals yet so the LA chargers they have made a deal to help to booster or to bolster this great defense we've seen in the preseason and the move that they've made is they have acquired defensive back Elijah molden from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a late round draft pick compensation so molden last season he had played for most of the year for the Tennessee Titans a really good man-to-man coverage type of corner and somebody that's going to be reunited with Christian Folton and another thing to also add on since he's coming into the AFC West he is also a former teammate of the Kansas City Chief's cornerback Trent McDuffy so if you can honestly imagine what that Washington Husky uh secondary looked like I honestly think this is going to be so much fun to watch this secondary so Elijah molden he had been in the league since 2021 and only in three years the best part about this is that his upside is he's only 25 years old so there's plenty of time for him to really develop get a fresh new start and really look into um the future with this organization so all through throughout the three years he's been with the Tennessee Titans he has played in 33 games had 140 total tackles 94 solos 46 assisted two Force fumbles and had uh recovered both of those also had uh two interceptions as well for about a total of 46 yards on those return so this is a guy the other thing to note as well he has eight passes defended so this guy I think ultimately is going to really bolster that man-to-man coverage Corners uh type of scheme that Jesse M has been playing very very well and considering the fact that the roster shape ups have been looking really good with Dean Leonard uh Sante Samuel Christian Folton and multiple others so adding a guy like Elijah molden this is really gonna be fun to watch this type of secondary the fact that this guy plays with a lot of grit plays with a lot of heart it makes me feel like that Jim Harbaugh has been paying attention to today's NFL and as far as in the last few years watching the Titans as far as how gritty that their defense was under Mike frel with terer tart Christian Folton and now with Elijah molden just tells me that he is giving every single quality piece to Jesse Minter to shape him up give him a fresh new look and at the same time um really get the best potential out of all of these guys so with both Folton and now Elijah molden on the Chargers roster this gives you a plenty of upside both are 25 years old I think molden plugging into a defense that's ready to play great man-to-man coverage and at the same time um really Elevate and challenge the competition that they've got in front of them especially in their own division where there is plenty of wide receivers that can compete and that could play a lot of these one-on one matchups that's not scaring the Chargers and I think initially this is going to be something that the Chargers are really going to like a very underrated pickup for a late round compensation I'll take it all day and somebody that can honestly come in plug in and be a big time uh force that no offense really wants to play around with so this is going to be exciting to watch a Jesse Miner plays this secondary but molden comes in plugs himself in and I think also gives him a fresh new start and somewhere where he could pick up where he left off and hopefully have uh a fully healthy season up and on his belt that's going to do it here for me on charger Syndicate appreciate all of you guys for joining on and watching this video like subscribe hit the Bell button share it out with every charger fan that you know no to man Jake Silva signing off and we'll see you guys on the next video on charger Syndicate take care you guys
